If you are going to visit Sydney and experience what this wonderful city has to offer then why not stay in one of the few beachfront... yes, BEACHFRONT residences along it's glistening harbour so that you are able to stroll along the beach when you wake up of a morning by simply walking out the door of this stylishly appointed apartment. I have spared no expense in decorating and making whoever stays here feel spoiled. The Space: Bed configuration: 1 Queen size in the main bedroom 1 Queen size sofa-bed in the second bedroom/office. The $40/night extra will apply if 2 guests request the sofa bed to be set-up. The Neighborhood: Double Bay is one of Sydney's premium suburbs and you have everything at your doorstep from cafes/restaurants to bountiful shopping as well as nearby parks. Double Bay has the most expensive real-estate in Australia and takes its name from the bay of Sydney Harbour. It refers to the two geographical formations between Point Piper and Darling Point, which are interrupted by a miniature point in between. The eastern part is also known as Blackburn Cove. Colloquially it is often referred to as "Double Pay", a term coined in the 1980s, due to the high income of people living there, and the nature of the shopping area which features high-end fashion labels. The commercial area runs along New South Head Road and extends along surrounding streets of Knox Street, Cross Street and Bay Street. It features hotels and shopping, restaurants, services, supermarket, and coffee shops. Getting Around: Double Bay features a ferry wharf for Eastern Suburbs ferry services. Bus services operate via New South Head Road to Bondi Junction, Watson's Bay and the City. The ferry is very frequent and is only a short trip into the city. Alternatively it is only a 10 minute walk to Edgecliff Station where you can catch a train to the city in two stops or one stop to Bondi Junction. Other Things to Note: There are limited spaces available for parking (first in, first serve) for the residents of the building. Monitored street parking otherwise available. Baby cot also available (bring your own baby linens for it). Maclaren Baby Rocker with a detachable canopy and toy bar also available. Suitable for babies up to 9kg (19.8lbs).
