My three girlfriends and I went to Napa for a Girls Trip and found the cottage to be a great place for us. It was easy to find, and a super easy walk downtown. The host was also SUPER helpful in suggesting places to visit and eat (Torc for dinner is a must!) and everything went off without a hitch. Just be aware that the unit is upstairs, so be careful with how much you pack :) 29 April 2017 - 19:17:00

Staying at Caryn's place was top notch. Everything from an easy entry to having a fully stocked kitchen with all the wine glasses you need for your perfect getaway weekend :) also the bathrooms had all the necessities to make your night out perfect. And with beds so comfy you just can't go wrong. Definitely would stay again and plan on it!! 05 April 2017 - 05:23:00

My girlfriends and I were coming to Napa for my birthday and I was really struggling to find a place to stay because I was going to have a 5th person 1 of the nights .This property met all our needs. Home owner was the absolute best! She even offered us an air mattress for our 5th guest! She made us feel right at home, popping a bottle of bubbles for us to share when we arrived. Not to mention the precious local advice she gave me freely on what several of the wineries had to offer. The location was great, close to downtown, plus she had bikes for us to use for free! The property is beautiful inside and out! I spent time in the comfy outdoor patio doing some morning reading under a large redwood tree. There is a bbq and plenty of areas to lounge after a long day at the wineries:) I will 100% stay here again, never wasting time looking for another property as this one will feel like a home away from home! Thanks so much! 17 April 2015 - 05:10:16

My family and I have recently stayed in two of these properties. Owner was extremely helpful and gave great advice on where to go in Napa. Would definitely recommend and stay in again for future visits. Also, super close to downtown! :) 19 May 2016 - 02:01:26

If you're looking for a quiet and comfortable retreat in downtown Napa with all of the perfect amenities, this is it! Caryn was amazingly resourceful - provided us with great advice on the ideal wine tasting spots and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The quality of the bedding is worth mentioning as well as the fully stocked kitchen. Our group of friends get together every year and this was quite possibly our best trip yet! We'll be back... 20 March 2017 - 01:00:00

This property is fantastic! We had eight people stay for a wedding in Yountville and it could not have been better. The full kitchen makes it easy to cook anything you like. It's incredibly inconvenient to walk downtown or to tasting rooms nearby. The best part? THE BEDS! The sheets are so soft, and I don't know what kind of mattresses she has but we all wanted to buy them. Stay here for an adult group looking to relax and be comfortable, you won't regret it! 07 March 2017 - 00:10:00

The property was very charming and quaint. As you walk up to the door you were greeted by a nice size porch with seats for relaxing. Inside was beautiful, cozy and comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipt for just about any meal. The bedrooms were lovely and beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean and well organized in the house as described on line. The location is close to everything in downtown Napa. There are bikes for cruising, but you can walk to a few shops close by. We would stay here again. Our experience was wonderful! 08 May 2017 - 23:06:00

This is a newly redone historic-age house (130 years old) in downtown Napa. A couple of things to highlight: Easily walkable to the downtown Napa: * 2 blocks to the nearest Starbucks * Maybe 4 blocks to "BIscuits" -- a nice (albeit slow) breakfast & lunch joint * About 8 blocks to the center of downtown, with a plethora of restaurants, cafes, wine tasting rooms, and boutique stores By car: * Being toward the south end of Napa valley, this is relatively quick to get to from SF * Quick access from the home onto the Silverado Trail (which is the most convenient way to get to wineries, since 29 is a parking lot on weekends) * Centrally located in Napa for groceries, general stores, etc. The unit: * Recently redone, old house. Tastefully finished. Wood and tile floors throughout. * Nice open living area (kitchen, living room) with lots of counter space including a breakfast bar area. * Only one bathroom. * Washer and dryer off the kitchen. * Handy blow-up extra mattress. * Wonderful porch. Enjoyed many an hour sitting out enjoying the July 4 fireworks, a glass or two of wine, guitar, etc. Owners: * We met the owners on the first day. They own a number of properties in the area that they are personally involved with (e.g. rebuilding older houses). * Very helpful with tips on the area, activities for kids, etc. * Their hospitality really made the stay more enjoyable. Local tips: * Strawberry farm stand a mile or two up Silverado trail on the left. I've seen this place 25 times but never stopped until this visit. Holy cow! Best strawberries I've had since I was a kid and my neighbor grew them and we'd pick them fresh! * Oxbow Public Market - walkable or 3 minute car ride. Not really a market as much as a bunch of high end little shops stuffed into a building. But the fruit and fresh veggies were very good (and very pricey), the cheese was amazing, the pizza was great, etc. * Biscuits. Restaurant. Just google for Napa Biscuits. 30 minute wait for simple breakfast items, but they're good. Not cheap, but good. Overall, a nice few days in Napa with the family. Pleasant and helpful owners. Cute house -- cute in a way only an older house can be. Nicely equipped. 08 July 2013 - 05:49:53

The home has a beautiful well manicured french garden. The home was well equipped with everything you could possibly need or expect! From the first time that we spoke, with the owner , we were very much engaged. She was mist helpful in recommending restaurants vineyards to visit, etc. when we arrived at the home, she met us there and served us champagne. Great hostess! Great accommodations! 18 April 2015 - 13:45:41

Description of property was spot on! Wonderful inside and the perfect location to downtown Napa. The beds were very comfortable and front porch was a delight to sit and relax on. The house was very clean and decorated very nice. The owner provided fast and great communication. I really enjoyed working with her. I would reccomend this property to a friend or relative and would stay there again myself. It was the perfect place to stay for our quick trip to Napa. 03 September 2015 - 16:11:50

This is the place to stay if you want easy access to all Napa has to offer. We took our son for his 21st birthday. The home is in close proximity to restaurants, bars, wineries, and anything you would need for a wonderful time. That being said, it was very peaceful and quiet as well. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and sent us to some new wineries that we had not visited before. We would recommend this for 2 couples or a group of friends who want to enjoy some night life. 04 September 2014 - 15:21:00
  16. This was a great "old" house with nice modern amenities in down town napa, walking distance to a lot of places. The owner is super nice, very friendly, took us through the tour of all of her rentals adjacent to this property. We booked early so we got the largest and the most updated one. This one had a very small yard space, it just wasn't conducive to drinking wine in the yard at night and I thought the cleaning fee was a bit steep for the space but the rent is lower than most and she was flexible with the minimum stay so I think it was fair in the end. Thank you for a great ladies weekend getaway! 29 August 2014 - 03:59:21

Very nice place. Clean, cozy, in good location. Owner is very friendly and helpful. 06 April 2014 - 03:05:18
  18. We had a great girls weekend here. The extra space of a house was exactly what we were looking for and Caryn was a terrific host, even arranging our first tasting for us. The property is an easy walk from restaurants and downtown. We had a wonderful time. 27 October 2013 - 13:24:09
  19. Property was expertly restored with the right touch of modernization such as the sleek kitchen and flat-screen TV. Owner was super helpful with winery and restaurant recommendations. Loved the porch in front, a perfect place to relax. Exceeded our expectations. 12 September 2013 - 21:50:57

The Napa house has been redone and is very nice inside. Furnishings, bedding, linens all new and clean. The remodel was very well done with nice modern finishes. The location is about a 10minute walk north of town, very easy and interesting walk. The owner was very helpful. It was a 30 minute drive to St. Helena where there is a very charming street scene and great restaurants. We enjoyed Oxbow for food in Napa, also the hiking was great. The town of Napa surprised us as its a bit of a ghost town. The only downside to the house is no back yard just a small deck on the front along the driveway to hang out on. Also there is a person that lives upstairs. When I thought of a cottage I didn't guess there would be tenants upstairs. His walking around on the hardwood floors could be heard inside our place in the mornings before he left for work. The owner was going to see about adding area rugs to muffle the noise. The place is small but was fine for the 4 of us. 21 August 2013 - 20:11:03
