Nestled in one of London's most fashionable postcodes, this stunning one bed bed, one and a half bath apartment on the ground floor of a restored townhouse offering luxury living and a perfect base for exploring London. Located on a tree lined street which occupies typical Georgian properties, one being the home of Charles Dickens as well as the Museum. Upon entering you will find a guest WC, the large living room which boasts period features and offers ample seating including a sofa bed for any additional guests,(an extra bed can be provided for a 5th guest under 11 years) luxury furniture and dining area, TV and WIFI, off the living room you will find the luxurious fully fitted kitchen with washer/dryer and dishwasher. The master bedroom offers ample storage and a King size bed again with extremely high end furniture, off the bedroom you will find the marble fitted bathroom complete with his and hers sink and a rain shower over bath and WC. The apartment is fully air conditioned throughout. The bedrooms offer the highest level of furnishings and include Egyptian cotton sheets and fluffy towels. The bathrooms have a marble and stainless steel finish. John Street is located in the heart of Bloomsbury, equidistant from the City and the West End. There are many green open spaces nearby including Lincoln’s Inn Fields and Gray’s Inn Gardens for a tranquil feel in the centre of the capital, numerous amenities include restaurants, cafes, shops and theatres. John Street boasts excellent transport links with Russell Square, Holborn, Kings Cross, Euston, Farringdon and Chancery Lane underground stations all within short walking distance.

    The description was accurate regarding the location, layout, and facilities. The property was cleaned, well maintained and all appliances were in excellent condition - new appliances. The owner or manager provided very good customer service. The property is located in a nice and quiet area, closed to metro station, museums, and other important places of London such as Oxford str.     The apartment was lovely and just right for 2 or 3 people. New furniture and appliances, clean and well-maintained, nothing about the place was in any way a disappointment. Were I to return to London in the next year or so, I would surely book this same place again, if I could. The main bed was comfortable, and a piece of furniture could be folded down to allow for a 3rd person to sleep. The contact was there when I arrived and offered a helpful introduction to everything. I was completely satisfied in every way. For our family the location was perfect - near a lovely park and on a street that doesn't get much morning or evening traffic.   4. Even better than the pictures - if that's possible! We had a wonderful stay at this one bedroom apartment in a completely renovated building. Convenient location between several tube stops, making it easy to get around London, but also in a quiet area with no street noise. Great local coffee shop right down the street with amazing lattes and a good selection of pubs and restaurants nearby. The apartment is outfitted with everything you need - from bath products to kitchen supplies, hairdryers to extra towels. We didn't want or need anything that wasn't already provided. The Heritage team was great to work with. Clear directions and timing instructions for check-in and check-out and the concierge who met us upon arrival made sure we had everything we needed and new how to use all the apartment amenities.     This was my second time staying in one of these apartments. They are conveniently located and there are many restaurants, grocery stores and pubs nearby. It's easy to get wherever you need to go in central London and the apartment itself is comfortable, clean and has everything you need, as described.     We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. The central but quiet location was perfect and the furnishings and inventory were just as we expected from the photos. The only frustrating point was with the managing / booking agents (Heritage Apartments). We booked the property three months earlier and were told that nearer the time they would provide us with the arrival and key pick up information. Instead of sending us the arrival information, we received a call asking to confirm how many people were staying ( It was booked for my husband and myself), which I thought was strange. I emailed them several times asking for the information, yet we received the informed only after we landed by text message. The representative who met us on arrival was very professional and friendly, which made up for the unnecessary numerous emails prior to our arrival.     The apartment and staff communication exceeded our expectations. The apartment was within 10 minutes of 3 different subway lines and down the street from the bus stop. You could be on the River Thames in 25 minutes from leaving the building. The apartment is in a quiet building a couple blocks off the main road. Very modern & updated with modern furnishings and every attention to detail was given. All amenities you would want were available...including air conditioning (not that it was needed at end of September), bath products, kitchen appliances & a washer/dryer. Convenient to grocery store and variety of neighborhood restaurants and a pub. The representative who met us upon arrival was very informative about London and everything in the apartment.     Spent eight days in this beautiful, clean, modern apartment with my husband and two kids. Convienent, safe neighborhood, just a few minutes walk to restaurants, cafes, drug store, basic groceries, etc. Buses a couple of blocks away take you to Kings Cross or Holborn stations (or a 15 min walk, which we did several times). With the exception of room service, the apartment has all the amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook for a family. Note that the sofa bed is a bit small for two people. Karen was very accomadating even had extra sheets and pillow delivered when my 2nd decided to sleep on the other sofa. Since our flight arrived later in the evening, Karen arranged for their driver Mark, who was very pleasant and full of information, to pick us up at Heathrow.     Summary -The apartment exceeded most of my expectations. -Beautifully kitted out and decorated. -Great location. Pros -Location ->Walking distance to Russell Square tube station (on the Picadilly Line and ~55 minute train ride from Heathrow). ->Plenty of supermarkets within a 5 to 10 minute walk (depending on the size of supermarket you want) with all the goods you will need to make your own meals. ->Lots of restaurants in the area. -Accommodation ->Very large one bedroom apartment, with sizeable separate living area and kitchen. ->Very nicely decorated vs some more soulless apartments we have stayed in. ->Ensuite bathroom to bedroom with toilet, shower in bathtub, two sinks, heated towel rack, plenty of towels, etc. ->Additional separate toilet near entrance. ->Plenty of storage in the bedroom. ->Large living area with very large tv (lots of channels), sectional couch, chair, additional couch (I think it becomes a bed). ->Dining table and 6 chairs. ->Kitchen very well kitted out with basic spices, plenty of pots, pans, cups, plates, flatware, etc. ->Washing machine (very useful), dishwasher, oven, stove top, microwave. ->Instruction booklets for every piece of equipment (a nice touch). ->Looked better in reality vs the pictures (a rarity). -Operator ->Heritage Apartments are the operator and were very helpful. Check-in/Check-out instructions were clear (despite us arriving at 8pm), communication was prompt. ->There is a hefty damage deposit (understandable as the place has been decorated to a very high standard and looks very new). We have yet to receive the deposit refund, although we only checked out this morning and given that we left it in the same condition we found it I do not expect any issues. Cons -The only personal con I have is that I expected a king size bed (I used this as part of my selection criteria). The bed was definitely not North American king sized, but perhaps this is a difference between European and North American sizes..... -People with mobility issues, or who are older may have issues with a small set of stairs from the street to the apartment entrance and getting in and out of the bath (quite high bath to step in and out of). -If you have issues with noise you will need earplugs - this is London and the apartment is on street corner. It is not too busy, but you can hear traffic and people if you are a light sleeper. We did not have any issues as we use earplugs if it is noisy. 02 December 2016 - 15:29:00

    The location is the best thing about the apartment. It is convenient to pubs, restaurants and a wonderful supermarket. The building was recently restored with all the bells and whistles, but in some cases not the most functional plan. The room darkening shades are effective for light blocking, but there is no privacy in the daytime or after dark. This is especially true in the bathroom. There is an amazing amount of traffic on John St. almost 24 hours a day making sleep difficult, but hailing a cab easy. Staff was prompt responding to problems, but we would have liked clear instructions on how to use the appliances. Would not recommend for people who are older or not in good physical condition due to tub enclosure. Nor for those who plan to do anything beyond the simplest cooking. 14 July 2016 - 01:41:00

    The apartment is excellent. Classic and modern. Lighty and quiet. Warm in a cold weather. There are every applainces you could need and more. A very good washer-dryer machine, important for a rainy weather. The main bathrooms is large with an amazing shower, the other one useful. A nice bedroom , smooth bed and very big closets. As a corner building, the apartment has windows to both streets. The location is very good, few minutes from some bus stops and tube stations. A pleasure to walk around shopping food in small brand markets. Safe and cozy neighbourhood. Karen and her staff are puntual, efficient and ready to help. All around, absolutely recomendable.     We loved the amenities (AC especially) and the apartment is very posh while remaining comfortable. I thought it would be closer to Covent Garden as described in the headline , but we had a great time and got around just fine.     This property was perfect for our family visit to London. The rental included a travel crib and a kitchen with all the tools to prepare our meals. The location was convenient to one of the best children's parks and several tube and bus stops. We also appreciate the washer/dryer. The property was clean and stylish.     This is the second time we have stayed at this apartment, once in the winter and again recently in the summer. It has everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing break.     The flat is spacious for two people. The location is convenient for Bloomsbury, Covent Garden, and Exmouth Market with all the shops and restaurants you could want within easy walking distance. It is also close to three Underground Stations plus St. Pancras for the Eurostar. We appreciated the air conditioning as it was warm out and having the windows closed made for quiet nights. Our only quibbles were the folding bed parked in the corner of the living room (which we didn't need) and lack of a good saute pan and corkscrew which we purchased.     I was actually supposed to stay in a different apartment, but was put in this one last minute because there was an issue with the other flat. I am so glad I got to stay in this one! The location is amazing (super close to Covent Garden and two tube stops) and the apartment is so cute and had everything I needed. The greeter who met me at the apartment was also very nice and even gave me tips on how to get around London.     The apartment is spacious for two people with large rooms and two sinks in the main bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking most things plus coffee and tea making and has a full-sized refrigerator. The location is walking distance to Bloomsbury, Covent Garden, and Exmouth Market (or further) plus you have several tube stations nearby. The Dickens House Museum which is just down the street has a sweet little cafe that serves light lunches, coffee, tea, and sweets - and a lovely walled garden for summer.
