This is a very central place to stay. It was an easy walk to the underground and also within walking distance of attractions such as the Museum of London and St. Paul's Cathedral. We found the apartment to be well equipped, clean and convenient. We were well looked after and particularly appreciated having clothes posted on to us which we had foolishly left behind. Thank you again!! 04 December 2008 - 01:44:58

My husband and I have just spent three months in this very comfortable and secure apartment. The location is excellent: historic, interesting and above all superbly placed for public transport either by bus or tube. It is a short ride to the South Bank Arts Centre or to any central London theatre. Another bus leads direct to the West End. Food shopping at all hours is close by, or if you prefer to eat out there is a wide selection of trendy restaurants a stone's throw away. The owner was very helpful to us and made sure the apartment was well equipped. It was also useful to have a concierge on site, not to speak of the pool and fitness centre. 06 January 2009 - 10:19:46

We, family of four (2 teenage kids), planned a 6 day holiday in London this summer (2009). Looking for comfortable and affordable accomodation, we found this nice apartment on the internet. It turned out to be the perfect place for us. Located centrally and near Underground and Railway stations we had a good starting point for all our sightseeing. Even walking to Leicestersquare and the Thames was easy and a nice walk. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in the neighboorhood, but honestly we did cook dinner ourselves several times. After a long day in the city, it was perfect to relax in the apartment and visit the immense pool, the large fitness area or the sauna. These were really quiet and very clean. Most of the time we were the only ones in the pool. The apartment was well equiped with a large well equiped kitchen, TV and internet. It felt like home and it sure beats the usual london hotels. Especially if you consider the fair rate, the space and the comfort. The neighbourhood is relaxed and safe. If you're looking for space, comfort and privacy in the middle of London. This is the place. Perfect for two and even very well suited for the four of us. The owner Toby arranged for someone to meet us in the apartment the first day to hand over the key and provide information. In the weekends there's even a friendly night/day concierge in the lobby of the building.Toby himself emailed a small touristguide with neighbourhood favourites and directions, all very helpfull. We loved this place an the whole of London of course! 22 September 2009 - 22:32:17

My family (2 adults and 2 children 6 and 2 years old) stayed in this lovely flat for a week and had a wonderful time. The flat owner welcomed us warmly (even though we arrived about 2 hours later than the time scheduled). The flat was more spacious than expected, with nice linen, towels, coffee, tea, spices for cooking, excellent fridge and tv. We were surprised by the lovely fresh flowers and the mineral water and wine in the fridge waiting for us! My children loved the bunk bed and felt 'at home' from the very beginning with the games and toys available. Unfortunately we could not use the swimming pool as the British weather was quite chilly during our stay but it seamed very clean and spacious. It was just really nice to get back to the flat after a full day of sightseeing and preparing a hot meal to the children in the kitchen. Definitely better than staying in a hotel (specially when traveling with children). Oxford Street was a short bus ride away from the flat as well as supermarkets and pubs. Would love to go back and stay there again! 06 July 2011 - 15:50:50

Our family (two children, 9 and 12) had a wonderful time in this nice, well-located apartment during the two weeks we spent in London. The modern facilities helped us make the most of our stay and the children had great leisure options. I strongly recommend it for families with young children and for everyone looking for a quiet place in the central area. We felt at home from the moment we came in. We already know where to lodge the next time we visit London. Thank you! 12 July 2011 - 21:03:48

We (family with kids aged 5 and 7) just atayed for 3 nights in this perfect apartment. It was very comfortable and fully equipped and located perfectly (very near a Circle Line underground station, near a Central Line Station and buses). The kids loved the leisure options after a day full of sight seeing. The owner Sue send very useful information about the apartment, the neighbourhood (supermarkets, restaurants) and transport to us on our first enquiry. She responded quickly to questions and welcomed us on our day of arrival to hand over the keys. She was very kind and helpful. We can certainly recommend this apartment! 28 September 2011 - 09:26:33

Our family just returned from a 6 night stay at this flat. Everything was what was described by the owners. We chose to stay in a flat vs a hotel because we like to be able to cook and have more room to move around. This all worked out so well. The kitchen is large and has everything you need to create a meal. When we arrived there was already some milk, wine and a bottle of milk in the fridge for us. We went to the SAinsbury Local every day down the street for some excellent breakfast breads and made full breakfasts each day. The dining table was big enough for our family of 4 to eat and doing homework, etc. The sleeping arrangements were also handy. My husband and I slept in the bed -- while my daughter (11) claimed the loft as her own. 1 night her brother slept up there, but the rest of the time he preferred to sleep on the fold out chair thing -- there was extra bedding for that. The flat is conveniently located on the Farringdon Tube stop -- so that makes getting everywhere a breeze. (Farringdon is on the circle line). It is also a nice walk to St. Paul's etc. We also did laundry every night. The washer is smaller then my US washer at home -- and the dryer is not your typical US drier, but it worked and allowed us to pack a little lighter. I also chose this flat because of the access to the swimming pool. My kids used this 2x during our stay and REALLY ENJOYED it. This is unusual in London. I highly recommend this flat if you will be in London! 01 December 2014 - 18:07:27

This was not our first choice as it was essentially more than we had budgeted. But we ended up here anyway and are, for the most part, pleased. David & Sue were quite responsive and always willing to assist us with our plans. We do wish the final payment could have arrived before we left our home rather than on the road- I dont trust other computers, only my own. The flat is extremely convenient and easily accessible by public transport or taxi. The buildings amenities were lovely, but we never got to try any of them- after all it IS London! The flat was as the pictures show. I was worried about the kitchen from those photos (new one- ones- added since!), but it turned out to be quite decent. We had three problems, however. First, the balcony window that you see opens to a MAJOR road. And Clerkenwell Rd. has a 24-hour bus. Besides, when you do open the window, you literally look at passengers on the top deck of the bus which is a bit disconcerting for both parties. So the serious bus noise issue has to be taken into consideration. Second, there was a heat wave when we were there. It wasnt the heat that bothered us, it was the lack of circulation. The ceiling fan is great for the living room, where one person slept on the sofa- the convertible chair wasnt for us. But it doesnt reach into the other section of the open floor plan. We can handle heat (and 28 is not hot to us), but we cannot handle still air. We asked for a fan, but it was rejected. We had a friend in London who loaned us one. Sleeping in that mezzanine (only recommended for the under 30s- were not and it was quite rough) was almost unbearable with no circulation. The person who slept under the mezzanine also complained about the lack of circulation. Third, the building's management had a problem with trash collection. We took the trash to the disposal area as asked, but it was so full we could barely open the door. If we had the money, we would stay there again IF there were a fan for circulation. (They do provide a heater for the cold.) The owners were not any problem and everything went smoothly. Their housekeeper (Tracey- xx) was sweet and adorable and a most valuable source of information on all things London. (Note= Farringdon tube stop has a lift- this was a boon for us and needs to be a consideration for those who need this accessibility.) 04 February 2015 - 02:19:47

We are a group of 4 ladies for a 10-day sight-seeing trip. Sue and David were very helpful and accommodating when we booked our stay. Tracey the apartment manager was on time and waiting for us when we arrived. She even walked out to meet us on our way from the tube station. Farringdon Tube and railway station is about 5 minutes walk away. There is a bus stop just outside the building door across the road. Neighbourhood is quiet. There is a small Sainsbury just 2 minutes up the road, and a Tesco Express and post office across from Farringdon tube. There are several casual eateries within 5 minutes walk. The apartment is very clean and very spacious for four of us. It looked exactly like the pictures. All four of us slept on separate beds - one on each double bed, I slept on the chair bed, and another slept on the spacious sofa. She was about 5'6" and she was happy on the sofa. I would recommend Sue and David to consider a sofa bed instead of the really nice sofa though. That would be even better. The kitchen is fully functional with everything you need. Utensils, pots pans and dishes, a full size fridge, washing machine, heated clothes drying rack. There is even a scale to help with weighing your luggage. The hot water in the bathroom is very hot and we always had enough hot water for all 4 ladies with long hair taking showers. I recommend Sue and David to consider adding a small shopping cart or bag with wheels. It would be very helpful for grocery shopping for longer stays. The swimming pool is just outside the apartment corridor, but unfortunately the hot tub in the building's swimming pool seemed to be permanently closed. We tried taking showers in the swimming pool change room but the change room did not have good hot water. It is very close to the street, so street and car noise was quite noticeable when we opened the windows. We closed the windows and turned on the ceiling fan during the night to have a quiet sleep. We stayed in the Autumn so closing the windows was okay for us. We are not sure how it would work out in the summer. I'd definitely recommend staying in this apartment. It can easily fit 5 people. Thank you very much Sue, David and Tracey for making our vacation very memorable, nice and comfortable. 24 May 2015 - 21:13:12

We had the best time ever at this condo. It was five stars in every way and I never take the time to give a review but I feel strongly about this one. Not only were the owners incredibly helpful with advance notice of potential strikes and asking if I needed help with potential tube transportation issues, but they also gave me updates as our visit was coming closer and thankfully there was no strike but we were prepared just in case. The place is as beautifully kept as the photos which is not always the case. It's spacious and fun and the best for a family like us because we used the swimming pool every night. It was spotless and we were lucky to have the pool to ourselves all five nights. I guess other people in the building are busy and dont use it as often so we lucked out. There is also a recreation room in front of the pool with a fussball table and ping pong/table tennis as well as workout equipment like treadmills and bikes and weights. It could not have been any better. The condo has a eve player with family friendly movies too! And the kitchen is fully equipped. It's one block (3 minutes by foot) to the grocery store and right in front of the bus stop. We will be back. Loved every moment at this place and highly recommend it. 06 September 2015 - 11:19:50

Myself, my husband and our daughter and son-in-law all stayed here together for several days. My daughter and I were both working in central London and the location could not have been better - we both walked to work every day. Our partners were both free to enjoy the facilities - which they did! The pool, sauna and gym were all great and this was amazing value for money. The flat itself had everything in it that we could want and was such a spacious, comfortable place to stay. We are a close family and therefore the sleeping arrangement of a double bed and another double above it on a very small mezzanine worked fine for us, but might not be ideal for everyone. The owners were a pleasure to deal with, and even allowed our son-in-law to stay in the flat and use the facilities well after our scheduled check out. Couldn't have been a better experience - we would love to come back and would highly recommend! 08 January 2014 - 19:09:20

Arrivederci a prestissimo! 09 December 2017 - 13:28:00

Apartment has everything you need and more. Safe building, concierge helpful. Location is convenient for visiting many popular places. We especially enjoyed many of the nearby local ethnic resturants. Close to bus and tube stops. 21 September 2017 - 20:07:00

We stayed here in early October as a family of 4. Great location, so close to good restaurants, the Tube and buses. Really good if you are coming in/out of London via Kings Cross/St Pancras train station, as we did. Flat was very spacious and had everything we needed. The heated clothes drying rack was particularly useful for a family that had been on the road for a few weeks and needed to do some washing, which we did! The kids also really enjoyed a swim in the heated indoor pool after a busy day of sightseeing. Thanks for a great stay in London. 12 October 2017 - 10:22:00

21 January 2018 - 16:58:00
