My friends and I enjoyed staying in this townhouse. It's off the beaten tourist path, so it's fairly quiet for London standards. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance, and a subway stop is just down the street. It's a little bit of a hike to the city center if you're going there often. Also there's no air conditioning (as with most London homes), so be aware if travelling in the summer. It was cool enough at night that we left the balcony doors and windows open. Overall I would highly recommend this place. 02 August 2016 - 15:54:00

In July, we were travelling from Seattle to a safari in South Africa when our daughter became ill on the first of four flight legs. We found ourselves "stranded" at Heathrow and trying to figure out what to do. We made the decision to pause our trip in London to see if our daughter could recover enough to continue the flights in the next day or 2. While her condition did stabilize we weren't able to re-book on any flights that would get us to South Africa with enough days left in our planned itinerary to make it worthwhile for the additional travel. At that point I began to scramble to find us housing options in London. After some futile attempts to find places via homeaway.com, I found my way by serendipity to Veeves' website. I placed a call and was blessed to have Ambra answer on the other end. Ambra patiently listened to my frantic story and our ridiculous same-day needs and got right to work trying to find something for us. She was extremely attentive, helpful, patient and calm throughout all of our (many) interactions over the phone and by email. She gave us her recommendation of lodging options but I didn't feel she was pushing any one place over another. We were hoping to find 1 place to stay while in London but that wasn't an option so Ambra worked hard to piece together a plan for us to stay at as few places as possible during our stay. We couldn't check-in to our first place until 8 pm so she directed us to a short-term luggage storage place in Victoria Station as that was a good place for us to hop on the tube to the house later. Very helpful. Ambra prevented our trip from turning into a train wreck and, instead, made it a positive and memorable experience for our whole family. My wife calls Ambra one of the guardian angels we encountered during our unexpected adventure. And just like Ambra, the rest of the Veeve team we encountered exemplified outstanding customer service. When the time came to move from House 1 there was a problem at House 2 that delayed our check-in so the Veeve team arranged to transfer our luggage so we could go about our vacation around London without dragging a bunch of suitcases around with us. What a relief that was for us. I'm sure you receive lots of compliments on your vacation rental properties but I hope you realize the most valuable "property" you have is Ambra and the others on your service team. Their knowledge, skills and savvy are a priceless resource. You're fortunate to have such wonderful and dedicated people on your team. 16 July 2016 - 00:00:00

Overall, I thought the house was fantastic and met our needs. As I mentioned above, it was a bit further from the Underground than I thought it would be. Love the house though!! It was perfect! 22 July 2016 - 00:00:00
