About listing

This luxury one bedroom London holiday rental is set in one of the most charming and quintessentially ‘London’ parts of the capital. The apartment is located in the ground floor of a beautiful Mews house on a beautiful cobbled Mews street. The Mews street is more than reminiscent of the ‘old’ London and walking on to the street you will know you are somewhere special. It is the perfect home-away-from-home for a stay in the capital. The Mews house is located less than ten minutes walk from both Earls Court and High Street Kensington tube stations. High Street Kensington is close to tourist attractions such as Kensington Palace and Kensington Gardens, London’s museum quarter and the edge of Hyde Park. The high street area is also one of London’s more exclusive shopping and dining areas. The London holiday home is accessible for disabled guests as it all sits on the ground floor. Please note that there is a step to enter the apartment and that no disabled modifications have been made to the property. Entering from Radley Mews, you come straight into the main living space. The living space has a cosy feel which is perfect for relaxing in during London’s often changeable weather. You’ll find a gorgeously comfortable, large sofa which works also as a sofa bed for two guests and comfy armchair to kick back and relax in. There is also some nifty storage as well as flat screen TV and WiFi. Off the living room is the generously sized master bedroom complete with king size bed, sleeping two guests. The rest of the room also includes a large fitted wardrobe with considerable space. The room is decorated and finished in a modern style and to a very high standard, as is the rest of the Mews house. Recline on sumptuous sheets and beautifully soft bed linen. The real star of the Mews house holiday rental is the fabulous and spacious fitted kitchen. Appliances include an induction hob and Nespresso coffee maker, as well as dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and large fridge. Please see the facilities list below for more information. To cook with, there is a built in oven for preparing fantastic meals as well as microwave for quicker dinners or long lazy lunches made with produce from the area’s great markets. The kitchen space also includes a simple yet elegant dining area with seating for two with a fold down table. The secluded kitchen and dining space makes a perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying meals with a glass of wine, of two! At the opposite end of the kitchen to the entrance are beautiful wide, double wooden doors. Behind this is the stunning fitted marble bathroom. Here you will find a gorgeously spacious walk in shower enclosure as well as sink on the marble counter and a WC. We have provided all your toiletries and travel essentials as well as plush, fluffy white towels. The Mews house is situated just off Stratford Road which locals describe as a ‘village’ within London. Here you will find a great selection of local shops including bakeries, hairdressers, beauty spas and fantastic pubs to name just a few. Local tube stations include Earls Court on the Piccadilly line with direct access to Heathrow terminals 1,2 & 3 in around 25 minutes and to St Pancras International, the London terminus of Eurostar in around 20 minutes as well as services across the capital.

We spend seven nights at this flat and everything about it was first-rate. We were met upon arrival by a young man who introduced us to the property and made sure we knew where to find everything and how to use the appliances. The place was recently renovated with top-of-the -line fixtures and appliances, and was scrupulously clean. All the essentials were there, including coffee, condiments, soaps etc, and the bed, bed linens and towels were first rate. Located in a quiet mews, but close to everything - three tube stations within a ten-minute walk, a supermarket a 15-minute walk away. Among the many highlights were the Italian deli just around the corner (the lasagne is to die for!!), Chez Patrick across the street where we had an incredible final night dinner, and the Devonshire pub where we enjoyed several nightcaps. Holland Park was a beautiful oasis, and a walk through Notting Hill was very worthwhile. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this property - it exceeded all expectations, and the agency looking after the rental was a delight to deal with. Highly recommended. 18 July 2016 - 22:18:00

My husband and I frequently stay in rental flats during our travels, particularly in London, and I can say without question that this flat has been our absolute favorite. We're already talking about how soon we can return! The flat itself is lovely and more than met our needs. Everything about it is thoughtful, from the layout to the appliances; the bed and sofa were both incredibly comfortable. It was also very private and quiet, despite having easy access to Kensington High Street, Earl's Court, and Cromwell Road. It was convenient to travel throughout the city on the tube, and there is a Sainsburys and Waitrose in easy walking distance. Finally, Karen and her team were so kind and helpful, from the time of booking to our arrival and checkout. We particularly appreciated the fact that we were able to arrange for early check-in after our overnight flight. We'd highly recommend this flat and look forward to returning soon. 25 March 2017 - 16:15:00

We loved this adorable flat and found it very comfortable. Any issues were handled quickly and courteously (once I realized my phone provider wasn't connecting and email was the best way to reach the manager). I highly recommend this as a romantic little nest for a London stay. 23 April 2017 - 21:32:00

A creatively renovated and thoughtfully appointed mews house in a fabulous location. Has everything you could need and it is within a short walk to a fabulous Italian Deli (great coffee) and a quaint English pub. Walking distance to many of the museums, gardens and palaces. Well serviced by 2 Underground stations. Would go back in a heartbeat. Jan & John (Melbourne, Australia) 16 May 2017 - 07:52:00

our only negative was related to heat control; the temperatures in London during our stay ranged from 75 to 85 f even at night; the flat had no air conditioning making sleeping somewhat uncomfortable 03 July 2017 - 02:03:00

Our stay in London was made perfect by the outstanding quality of this house. It is well appointed and cleverly designed to maximise space, has everything you could possibly think of for a home from home experience. The bathroom is luxurious, loved the under floor heating, very quiet so a good nights sleep was had by all. The location is only a five minute walk to the tube station, and the lovely shops, restaurants on the high street. We didn't want to leave and will definately returning in the new year to what we now call 'our London pad' 07 December 2016 - 20:48:00

My wife and I just spent a week in July here, and it was mostly lovely. The neighborhood is great, and we walked to lots of things. It is a small flat, but well equipped as many others have said. I would caution though that there is no air conditioning, and the temperature in the flat was 27C for about half of our stay, even with fans running all night and windows open when we could (it's on the ground floor and there are no screens or bars on the windows, so safety and privacy are concerns too). In addition, it's situated on a tiny, rather odd street, and be forewarned that there may be noisy workmen or delivery men literally right outside your door at 8 am or earlier, as there were for us most mornings. Because of these issues, we didn't sleep well for several days, and that was unfortunate given the jet lag we arrived with anyway. So as lovely as it was, a small room AC unit, like you see in some U.K. shops or restaurants, would have made this flat even better for us, and perhaps for future guests as well. 14 July 2017 - 15:13:00

We were privileged to live here for 2 weeks. So much better than a hotel room. Perfect size for two people. Full kitchen with amenities. Washer and dryer that allowed us to pack light for the trip. Two Tube stations within walking distance (EARLS COURT and HIGH STREET KENSINGTON) allowed us to travel anywhere in London with an Oyster Card and TRANSPORT FOR LONDON on our phones. Comfortable bed. It did get a bit stuffy during the unseasonably hot temperatures but there is a fan that helped a great deal. We purchased our food and drink at the Sainsbury on Earl's Court which was a fraction of the cost of Whole Foods. Excellent fruit and Scottish Sparkling Water that we found very refreshing. We did have a car pick us up and return us to Heathrow. The driver, Mark, was a splendid fellow and we appreciated his assistance and punctuality. Overall, we hit a home run when we booked the apartment. Please note that the corner apartment is nestled into a car garage for very upscale vehicles. The Rolls Royces are not part of the amenities, sad to say. 29 May 2017 - 11:36:00

After a month on Radley Mews, I can tell you that it's a fine choice: comfortable, convenient, well equipped and quiet. I chose this apartment because it had high-end, full-size appliances (washer and separate dryer, refrigerator and separate freezer) and because it was near good supermarkets (Waitrose, Whole Foods, M&S Food Hall) and three Tube lines (at Earl's Court, High Street Kensington and Gloucester Road). Karen, the rental agent, could not have been more helpful. Two things to know: the luxurious marble bathroom is right off the kitchen, separated from it by large wood pocket doors. Since I was the only occupant, this was no problem, but it could be awkward for couples or threesomes. And there is no window in either kitchen or bath (each room has an exhaust fan). 05 November 2016 - 11:34:00

Nice property in excellent location. Property is small but adequate for two people. There was a roll away bed available for a third person but I don't know where there would be room to set it up other than in the kitchen. I have one recommendation for anyone staying here. Be sure to get a thorough orientation on the use all appliances. The appliances in this property are all top of the line and high tech. The cook top, or "hob" as it is called in England is extremely high tech. Even with the written manual I could not figure out how to use it. The eyes do not get hot to the touch and consequently you do not think that it is working. Management was kind enough to send someone by to demonstrate it's use. As stated, the eyes do not get hot to the touch when they are turned on, yet when you place a pot on the eye and place liquid or food in the pot it begins to cook. Take the pot off the eye and the eye is cool to the touch. Go figure. I would certainly recommend this property for a stay in London. 19 October 2016 - 11:07:00

This is a great property: high-end touches and very clean. The layout may not suite some, as you have to pass through the bedroom to get to the kitchen and then through the kitchen to get to the bath. It was not an issue for us. We found the property to be delightful, and I plan on booking this agin in the future. 17 September 2017 - 18:09:00

We loved the neighborhood!! Tube was very close, and everything we needed for five days, was at our fingertips. The flat was adorable and very well equipped. The neighbors were very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. It was perfect for the two of us. I will always stay here when I visit London! No need for me to try any other locations! 25 September 2017 - 21:43:00

We really enjoyed our stay! The Mews house/apartment is so well designed. The high ceilings make the apartment seem much larger. Lots of storage space. The kitchen is particularly well stocked. Even though the bath (which is great!) is off the kitchen, there are lovely wooden sliding doors which closes it off. The washer and dryer are very good. Also, there is a dishwasher which worked well. We highly recommend this VRBO unit! 02 October 2017 - 00:41:00

Enjoyed everything about Radley Mews from it's quaint neighborhood to it's updated modern conveniences. We especially appreciated the washer and dryer after 10 days of travel. Our host Paul was accommodating and helpful, explaining everything we needed to know thoroughly. And we really appreciated Karen, the property manager. From my initial contact to questions during our stay, she would always respond literally within minutes. This is an efficient well run company and it shows. I give this property and staff my highest recommendation! 10 October 2017 - 18:49:00

Charming mews property in great location - close to Earl's Court and Kensington High Street. Clean, comfortable with well stocked kitchen. Friendly, fast communication with owners. Regrettably, this property was very noisy both day and night - no sound insulation so we heard every sound as neighbours used stairs behind bedroom, people walked by property or cars maneuvered the bend next to our bedroom window, and the dustbins for several homes were along our wall so we were woken constantly all night long by conversations, footsteps or cars despite wearing ear plugs! The boiler/furnace for the home was in the bedroom closet and sounded like a jet engine when it was running which happened even though we turned the heating off to try to prevent it. The other issue was the wireless internet which was totally unreliable. As my husband needed to work from home each evening, and as this was essential to him, I did enquire and explain this before booking and was told it 'we have excellent wifi which is perfect for your hubby'. He was unable to work at the property as he constantly lost connection during conference calls around the world, so worked 14 hour days at the office which was more exhausting as he couldn't make a meal or a drink until he got home. He did mention it to the owners but nothing was done. If you don't need internet. or a quiet accommodation, then this is a great property to stay at but unfortunately it didn't work for us. 13 November 2017 - 19:59:00

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The flat is small, but comfortable and very thoughtfully and tastefully appointed. We also appreciated the prompt and accommodating responses from the host. Also loved the fresh flowers! The neighborhood is quiet, with shops, restaurants and a great pub nearby. We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend Radley Mews. We will definitely stay here again! 16 November 2017 - 10:57:00
