About listing

Located a stones throw away from Hampton Court Palace, home to Henry VIII, this 17th century end terrace cottage in East Molesey is the perfect base to explore both Central London and the surrounding historical landmarks along the river Thames. Set in a quiet conservation area, this quintessential English cottage will allow you to relax in a sleepy village atmosphere, yet is well connected to transport hubs to take you quickly and cheaply into central London and all the tourist attractions of England's capital city. It is also close to the M4 motorway to travel out into the rest of England, Wales and Scotland. The cottage has two bedrooms on the top floor; one Master Bedroom with a King bed, and one bedroom with a Queen bed. It is ideal for a family of 2 to a maximum of 5, with no more than 4 adults & 1 child or infant (child or infant would sleep in crib - not supplied - or one of our air-mattresses in the Master Bedroom). One additional adult MAY be accommodated on another air-mattress downstairs in the living area, but this would make the cottage feel quite small, particularly as there is only 1 bathroom.

  1. Beautiful cottage within walking distance of Hampton Court palace and only 35 mins by train from London. The cottage provided all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The log burning stove was the icing on the cake after a long day. All queries answered quickly-Thanks for a great stay :) 19 February 2017 - 08:14:00

We love staying at Rachel's luxurious cottage. The lounge with its log burner is so cosy and the whole property is furnished to an extremely high standard. Its location is perfect with Hampton Court a short walk which is also near the train station giving easy accessibility to explore all of London. There is a pub serving delicious food just a stones throw away and many excellent restaurants in the village. This has to be the most perfect property we've ever stayed in when we are in the area and are looking forward to our next home from home stay. 25 March 2017 - 07:08:00

M&M avril 2017 24 April 2017 - 12:44:00

Absolutely gorgeous little cottage. Was perfect for myself and my husband along with our friends to enjoy a weekend at Hampton court palace, which was within walking distance. As too was the train station meaning central London was also easily accessible. The cottage itself was very clean and tidy, well equipped and of a high standard. Would certainly recommend. 07 May 2017 - 21:09:00

Great communications prior to arrival meant there were no issues and the cottage is an ideal base for visiting Hampton Court, Kew Gardens and central London. We very much enjoyed our stay at the quaint Bell Cottage. We found the accommodation comfortable, very well equipped and clean throughout. East Molesey is a good location with a village feel and plenty of facilities. There is ready access by foot to the Thames, Hampton Court Palace, Bushy park and the railway station with central London approximately 30 minutes journey. The cottage offered a welcoming and peaceful retreat after a day's sight seeing and we are happy to recommend it. 28 June 2017 - 14:43:00

We spent a great week at Bell Cottage. The cottage itself is very charming and well maintained; it is clean, tidy, has everything you need for an enjoyable stay all served with a lot of character. The off-street parking is also very handy and accommodates a large car. The location is convenient for the local attractions of Hampton Court, Bushy Park and the River Thames, with lots of restaurants nearby and easy access to Kingston-on-Thames with its many shops and eateries. From Hampton Court station you can quickly get into London too while out-of-town attractions like RHS Wisley are also an easy drive. All-in-all a great base and we'd be happy to use it again and recommend it to others. 19 July 2017 - 00:58:00

I booked the cottage for a two - week stay, and it was just what I needed. The close proximity to Hampton Court and local amenities made it the perfect location for my studies at the Royal School of Needlework. After staying in a hotel for the past two summers, I finally felt at home. I was joined by a friend from Australia, and we're ready to come back! 02 August 2017 - 22:49:00

My daughter and I stayed at Bell Cottage for four weeks. I was unable to return home due to Hurricane Harvey and Melissa generously allowed us to extend our stay. Bell cottage is petite but comfortable and charming. The kitchen is top notch! Beds were very comfortable and it was beautifully decorated. We fell in love with East Molesey. The people were lovely and it was within walking distance (.75 mile) of Hampton Court Palace and the Thames. Shops, restaurants, bus and train station are all within comfortable walking distance. We highly recommend Bell Cottage! 21 September 2017 - 14:11:00

Myself and my wife and our three boys (ages 6, 9 and 12) had a wonderful week in Bell Cottage. The property itself is beautifully presented, quaint and really well equipped. This was truly a home away from home. The location is also beautiful - within walking distance of Hampton Court Palace with loads of fantastic cafes and restaurants close by. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. 11 August 2017 - 14:23:00

We stayed at Bell Cottage over Christmas and had a wonderful time there. The kitchen is large, bright and well-equipped. The beds were comfortable and the linens were lovely. The decor is contemporary with a few fun twists. It was so nice to be able to walk in the village and along the Thames, yet be so convenient to the Hampton Court train station. We appreciated Melissa's recommendations, and accommodation for our early arrival. I would love to return in the Summer months. 23 January 2018 - 15:48:00
