Set on a quiet and tranquil side street just off the picturesque and bustling High Street Kensington, welcome to Duke Lane Chambers n. 11. Bright, comfortable, and above all, welcoming. White washed walls are met with touches of zesty lemon and lime to create a relaxed and fresh atmosphere that greets you as soon as you cross the threshold. The verdant Kensington Gardens and the sprawling green spaces of Hyde Park are but moments away on foot. The master bedroom, with its welcoming Super-King sized bed (6ft wide), is a dream in cooling whites, and offers plenty of storage space as well as a good night's sleep. The sofa in the living room can be converted into a double sofa bed (4.5ft wide); accommodating a further two guests, with the option of folding it away during the day. The bathroom is complete with freestanding shower, basin and toilet. Ideally located a stone's throw from Kensington Gardens, one of the capital's eight Royal Parks and home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, aka, William and Kate. Kensington Palace is at the heart of Kensington Gardens, and there is nothing better than a picnic in the front of the palace. For your picnic food, head to the Wholefoods flagship store on Kensington High Street or the Marks & Spencer's food hall, just next door. Kensington High Street is one of London's most popular shopping destinations bursting with wonderful shops, cafes and restaurant and is usually less crowded than Oxford Street. Holland Park is at the other end of Kensington High Street, where in summer cricketers play on the lawns. For superb dining, head to the Belvedere restaurant in Holland Park, or Il Portico - an upmarket Italian. To drink, the Kensington Wine Rooms have a wide and carefully chosen selection of wines, and also offer nibbles and tapas. The waiters are charming and friendly and have a particular interst in South African wine (though there is plenty of European/ US wine too!) Alternatively, Kensington Roof Terrace has great cocktails, food and has an amazing rooftop garden.Your holiday rental is just a 5 minute walk from Kensington High Street Tube Station or Notting Hill Gate Tube Station, so you will have quick and easy access to the whole of the city. This property is on the second floor, and accessed by stairs - there is no elevator. The flat itself is all on one level. You will have access to all amenities provided in the apartment as well as having the apartment to yourself during your stay. All guests are provided with clean sheets, bath towels, hand towels as well as basic bathroom supplies. The apartment has Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the apartment that guests can use during their stay. Landing at Heathrow: Take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station and then the District Line to High Street Kensington Station. Walk for 4 minute to the apartment. Landing at Gatwick: Take the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station. Then take the Circle line to High Street Kensington Station. Walk 4 mins to the apartment. Parking: There is on the street meter parking just around the corner from the apartment. Please note that free parking is not available throughout central London. If you decide to bring a car you can find parking spaces to rent on We will meet you upon your arrival to make sure you feel comfortable with the apartment, to show you around and to hand over the keys. Regular check-in time is from 3pm to 8pm. Regular checkout time is up to 11am on the check out day. If you wish to check-in earlier between 12noon and 3pm please let us know as it might be possible depending on the previous guest’s checking out. Additional charges Please note that there are extra charges if you are looking to check in late or check out very late. 1. Late check in: Fee of £25 for check-ins between 8pm and 10pm. Fee of £35 for check-ins from 10pm to 12am. 2. Extra late check out – Fee of £35 check-outs after 3pm on the check out day (If this is possible).
