This charming open plan studio flat is ideal for a short break in London. It occupies the top floor of a large London town house, with its own separate kitchen and bathroom. It is ideal for a couple, a family with up to two children or a group of up to 4 friends sharing though bear in mind it is a studio so there is no separate bedroom sleeping area. Towels and all bed linen are provided. All bills are included in the price of the flat, there are no extras for heating etc. The studio has a double bed is across the top floor and has its own open plan living area which has an ikea corner sofa bed which can sleep an additional two people. There is a 2m mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers and 40" /100cm tv. Off this room are a bathroom with walk in shower and separate kitchen, equipped with cups, saucers, glasses, cutlery, saucepans,cooking utensils, kettle, microwave, toaster, oven and hob. Guest access Your apartment is fully self contained so there is no sharing. Your access is via the main front door up 3 flights of stairs and then you have your own front door. Interaction with guests I live locally and am always on hand by tel and message. If I cannot meet you with the keys my cleaner will be there. Generally once you have taken the keys I leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday but I am always at hand if you need me. The neighbourhood The flat is situated in one of the prettiest residential streets in Camberwell, just off Camberwell Church Street. It is a two minute walk to the bus stop which will take you to the centre of London directly and all the bars, shops and restaurants of Camberwell are just a short five minute walk from the flat. The flat is in a quiet tree lined residential street on the third floor. It looks out onto the street. The location of this flat is ideal for a visit to London, the nearest bus stop has buses which will take you to the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Regent St, Oxford St, British Museum, London St Pancras, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, South Kensington, Hyde Park, Victoria, Covent Garden and many more. Getting around Two minutes walk away is the bus stop just before ST Giles Church. From here you have : Bus 12 - one of the oldest London routes which runs 24 hours a day. This will take you past East Street which is one of London's biggest street markets, to Elephant and Castle where you can take the underground tube. It then goes past the Imperial War Museum, up to South bank and the London Eye, over Westminster Bridge to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, up Whitehall past Number 10 Downing St to Trafalgar Square where the National Gallery is. Then up to Piccadilly Circus, up Regent St to Oxford Street where all the shops are. Bus 36 - another 24 hour bus service. This takes you to Paddington station so ideal if you come from Heathrow as you can get it from the Heathrow Express. It takes you to Oval underground station in 10 minutes, the Pimlico for the Tate Britain gallery, London Victoria - ideal if you come from Gatwick on the Gatwick Express. Then up to Hyde Park Corner ( for Harrods and Hyde Park), up Park Lane to Marble Arch and then on to Paddington. Bus 171 - This takes you to Elephant and Castle, Waterloo for the South Bank and Tate Modern Gallery, Aldwych for Covent Garden and then Holborn which is good for the British Museum. Bus 345 - This takes you to South Kensington for the Natural History and Science Museums, via Battersea Park , Brixton and Clapham. If you walk into Camberwell a short 5 minute walk you can pick up lots of other buses as Camberwell is a central hub for the buses in South London. The most useful bus is the 68. Bus 68 - goes via Elephant and Castle ( underground) to Waterloo and then direct to Euston St Pancras which is ideal if you come on the Eurostar, it goes past the British Museum. If you prefer the underground/tube then Elephant and Castle and Oval are both a short 10 minute bus ride away. There is also a mainline train station at Denmark Hill which is a 8 to 10 minute walk from the flat and this will take you direct to Victoria in 8 minutes and to London St Pancras in 20 minutes via Elephant and Castle ( 5 minutes) which is also and underground station. Because Camberwell is a good transport link it also is very easy to get a black cab in the street from Camberwell Church Street.
