Very comfortable, roomy and nicely decorated apartment for the four adults in our party. Great location on the Thames River near the overground rail and bus service. Great restaurants right in the complex - loved the Syrian restaurant! Supermarket was just a short walk along the river. The owners, Richard and Caroline, were a pleasure-very responsive and helpful. Richard arranged for pick-up at the airport which was very convenient. Due to the airport being closed because of snow, we extended our stay for another week. Could not have had a nicer place to stay or more helpful owners. Thanks Richard and Caroline for a wonderful place to stay in a fabulous city! 02 February 2011 - 00:52:56

Highly recommended! This apartment is in a great location by the river, and totally exceeded our expectiations. It is very well furnished and very comfortable. Richard was very helpful and we would have no hesitation in recommending this rental to friends and would love to return ourselves on our next trip to London. Many thanks. 08 February 2011 - 19:35:42

Modern apartment in quiet area. Indeed fully equipped, easy aces to public transport. Helpful staff around. Suitable for a family with two kids at age of 11 and 13. Also nice shops around at Kings Road at walking distance. Further nothing to add to other 5 star ratings. 06 March 2011 - 20:42:06

We came to London to visit our son who is studying in London for this semester. We wanted a place to call home for our week stay and this flat met all and even more of our needs. Richard and Carolyn were so helpful through e-mail and phone calls to make sure everything was in place. When we arrived in London Richard help us find our way to the flat and got us settled in, thanks so much. It was very convenient that we were so close to the overground we used this to connect to the tube each day to go sight seeing and also to see some shows while we were in town. We really appreciated having the kitchen and living room - we spent a lot of time just catching up in the evenings. We even made a home cooked meal for our son on Sunday night so the kitchen was extremely helpful. After staying for week we know without a doubt this flat was the best choice for our group. We had 4 adults and our son came and stayed a few nights so the two bathrooms were wonderful for us all to get ready to go for our day. We also found it very economical compared to hotels and so much more comfortable with the extra living space. Thanks and we will look you up if we are in London again. 25 March 2011 - 17:28:11
  5. My family had the pleasure of staying in the apartment last summer for 10 days. Everything was beyond our expectations! Richard was fantastic to work with. The apartment was trully stunning, very beautiful, and well equipped for our family of 4. Probably the most comfortable and relaxed accomodations we have ever had. It is located in a beautiful suburb (Chelsea). We found it very easy to use the bus and the train. Be sure to get the 7-day Oyster card, it was useful on the buses, train (in city), and subway. The Thames river is wonderful to walk along and gives you a great view of the city. The Sainsbury's supermarket is an easy 10-minute walk along the river or a very short bus hop and is excellent. Unless you are renting a car at the airport, be sure to ask Richard to arrange for Martin to pick you up. He has an outstanding taxi service and is one of the most gracious people you will ever meet. He made our trips from and to the airport a pleasure. We would definately want to stay here again! 31 March 2011 - 18:46:03

I just got back from London last week with 2 of my friends and had a wonderful experience. Richard was very accommodating the whole entire way from booking the flat all the way to checking out the flat. We had arranged for Richard to have a driver pick us up from the airport, and the driver Martin was absolutely wonderful giving us tips and such. We definitely felt like the flat was a home away from home. It was very comfortable and cozy. The restaurants in the complex were wonderful as well for those days we didn't want to go into town to grab a bite and just wanted to stay around the flat. The kitchen also came fully equipped so we were able to cook a few late night snacks when it was too late to go out. The flat is located in a very upscale quiet community and allowed easy access to the overground and the buses so that we can easily travel into town and to tube stations. Definitely invest in an Oyster card while staying there as it does save a lot of money on transportation costs. All in all it was a wonderful experience. I plan to visit England at least once a year as I totally fell in love with the country, and I'll definitely be booking with Richard over and over again for my stay while I visit! 06 April 2011 - 16:35:45

First, and foremost, having this flat made our stay in London extra special plus it was the week of the Royal Wedding. The place was very clean and so accommodating (full gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, complimentary wifi, walking distance to the over ground-4 min walk, etc. etc. etc.) . The complex is nestled right next to the Thames river and there are nice restaurants on the premises. I recommend the Indian restaurant. Also, there is a nice outdoor pub with a water view. Richard and Caroline were so prompt with responding to questions regarding our reservations. Their driver, Martin, let's just say, "we loved him". Martin gave us such awesome recommendations to local places and overall, just a sincere, nice guy. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended...two thumbs up! 12 May 2011 - 04:33:57

We had a wonderful time staying at Richard and Caroline's place for a week in June. Everything was as advertised and top notch. My only suggestion would be more helpful hits in the apartment regarding bus and overground travel, restaurant suggestions, etc. We cooked our meals in the apartment's kitchen most evenings, but a suggestion for a good restaurant nearby would have been a plus! 12 July 2011 - 00:42:38

My husband and I spent two weeks in one of Richard and Carolines apartments, and the convenience and the amenities really enhanced our time in London. We enjoyed the pleasant, modern furnishings of the apartment and its very close proximity to the Overground station. We got a two week Travel Card (on our Oyster card) for about $122 each, and it was worth every penny. I cant even imagine how many miles we travelled in the two weeks as we used public transport every day, all day. The kitchen and washer/dryer really made our stay so much more pleasant than staying in a hotel. The wifi and satellite TV that are included were nice too. We enjoyed food shopping at the Sainsburys (just a quick and scenic 10 minute walk along the Thames) and even the Tesco in the ground floor of the complex had fresh meat and produce when we got back to the apartment and just needed an item or two. The housekeeper who checked us in was very helpful in showing us around the apartment and explaining the appliances, and the driver that Richard arranged named Martin was a total delight. I highly recommended having him drive you from the airport and back. It certainly reduced our stress level knowing that he would be transporting us. Also, the complex was quiet and upscale. We felt very safe and comfortable throughout our stay. I highly recommend this apartment. We are already contemplating a return trip because there is so much we didnt get to do and see, and we will definitely stay at Richard and Carolines apartment again. 31 July 2011 - 17:33:18

From my initial enquiry, through our stay at this gorgeous apartment, to our departure, this was a most pleasant experience. Richard, the "landlord" provided a lot of useful local information and was extremely helpful and readily available to answer questions. The apartment is perfectly situated for short visits into London, with an onsite London Transport "Overground" rail station (which is part of and connects with other lines on the tube network). For the shopaholics, it is a pleasant walk to the exciting King's Road, which boasts high street shops and other boutique shops. Sloane Street shops are also a leisurely walk away. There is a choice of grocery shops nearby - a reasonably well-stocked Tesco Express within the complex, a large and surprising full Sainsbury's (this branch improved my perception of Sainsbury's) less than a 10-minute walk away, and 2 Waitrose stores close by (including one on King's Road). There is also a choice of restaurants, offering different kinds of cuisine, within the complex. The apartment itself is pleasantly furnished, with all one would need for a comfortable short break away. For us, it was really a home away from home, and we're already planning to make it our regular abode (if Richard will have us again) whenever we visit London. Even with a 14-month old baby, we could relax and enjoy our stay, because the apartment is rather child-proof despite probably being more suited to families with older (teenage) children; we didn't have to move a single item to safety. Little details are consideredeven a travel cot was provided. There's also internet access. The only recommendation I would make is for an incoming phone to enable international visitors receive calls without incurring roaming charges. The apartment complex is situated along the Thames and has lots of outdoor play space for children of all ages. This was a perfect discovery and a real gem, and I would recommend the apartment to anyone visiting London for work or pleasure. I know I'll definitely be back when I visit London... 06 September 2011 - 11:56:44

We had a great time staying in this apartment in August 2011. Richard and Caroline were prompt to answer all my questions and were very easy to communicate with. This is a great place for a family of four, we felt truly at home. The location is convenient , Imperial Wharf Overground Staion is less then one minute walk. The small supermarket downstairs had everything for preparing meals at home. Though I usually don't feel like cooking during vacation, we had breakfasts at the apartment and couple of dinners. The apartment is tastefully decorated and has all modern features, including free wi-fi. Martin was great, met us at the airport and showed us around. Due to huracan in New York area we had to stay in London two extra days and moved for the last two days to hotel. Then I really missed the spaciousness and convenience of this apartment! 05 September 2011 - 02:35:19

This proved to be a great location. The photos are just as we found the flat, clean, modern and decorated nicely. Richard was very helpful and answered all of our questions and hired a driver(Peter) for us. Peter was waiting at the airport and gave us a lovely tour of all the surounding areas. We used public transportation during the week. The bus and train are just a block away. The Tesco was just next door and the complex has a beautiful river walk with plenty of restaurants and a bakery. We purchased the London Pass and Oyster card and hit every landmark in London. The flat was extreamly safe with a two tier security system. We so enjoyed our trip from the comfy beds to the large soaking tub. Perfect Place to stay! We hope to go to London again and we would definiitely stay at Richard's Flat. 26 August 2014 - 22:47:38

Weve just returned from after a weeks holiday at the above and Im finding it hard to find anything to add about the apartment that hasnt been covered already but Ill give it a go. Our experience was as positive as the most positive previous reviews. There was a real wow factor as we were shown round the apartment by the very friendly Ben and Kelly on behalf of Richard. Having said that it felt like a proper home and thats how we used for the week. It wasnt the apartment that appears in the pictures above but Richard explained why that was as soon as we booked and, if anything, ours was even bigger and had all the same facilities. We loved it. Forget the one review here that sounds a tad negative in places, everything is easy to use and Richard et al are a phone call away if you need any help (we didnt). Like us you probably dont go on holiday to watch TV and play around on the internet but the big flat screen TV, Sky channels and free Wifi were big extra attractions for teenage girls. When you are waiting to go out or have just got home theres something a bit depressing about trying to watch something on the 15 inch portables you normally find in holiday homes. And without realising it weve become very dependent on the internet for planning days out etc. We have previously found not having access to it to be a real bind when in London, so this made life much easier. Tip: in case you forget to check with Richard the Bt Home Hub is in the cupboard on the right as you enter the flat and the code you need is on the underside. Dead easy. Imperial Wharf overground station really is just a stones throw away (but dont throw stones at trains it isnt big or clever) and provides easy access into the City via Tube connections at West Brompton or Shepherds Bush underground stations. We had travelcards for zones 1&2 on our Oyster Cards for the week but also topped them up for a trip in the other direction to Hampton Court that only takes 40 minutes. For the C3 bus stop just nip under the bridge that leads into Imperial Wharf station and follow the road round to the left for about 100 yards opposite the Chelsea Harbour building. We got the bus to Earls Court once. It was a pleasant change but even outside of the rush hour we did get stuck in heavy traffic, so if you need to be somewhere soon we recommend the Overground and I left a time table in the apartment. A great week and we definitely plan to book with Richard again. 03 August 2010 - 11:12:34

We stayed at Richard's flat for a week and we were very impressed. The location is exactly as per the pictures and was very modern and clean. The flat was roomy and modern, the building is right on the Thames and there is a very nice river walk. The location is very convenient and is close to various shopping, grocery stores and restaurants. If we travel to London again this is the first choice I would have to stay at. Richard was most helpful and Kelly met us at the train station and also was very helpful. Final words - excellent place, excellent location and excellent service. 22 June 2016 - 15:48:13

First, know that Imperial Wharf is a modern new development. It doesn't say "London"; it could be anywhere. It has a handful of restaurants and a convenience store, but no real neighborhood to walk around. It's a short walk to the overground station, which one must use to transfer to the tube system one stop away. The condo area has high security. The condo itself is clean but quite small for four people. It's hard to move around in the tiny bedrooms. The one with the ensuite bath has a difficult-to-use shower -- the shower head is rigged with plastic ties. The combination washer-dryer didn't dry. All in all, adequate, but left us wishing we'd done better. 15 July 2017 - 18:01:00

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Located at ground level in a very secure, monitored complex and furnished tastefully with modern creature comforts throughout. Richard kindly accommodated our delayed arrival and had his friend show us through. Easy access to buses (C3 to Earl's Court underground) and option of the overground at Imperial Wharf. 30 min to the West end of the city. Useful brochures from prior guests nicely selected and arranged for visitors to London. Bedding includes a double, two singles and a sofa bed (double) in the lounge. All modern kitchen facilities available. Very smooth checking in and out. Will surely return when back in London. 28 January 2017 - 08:20:00

Firstly we would like to thank Richard for the use of his beautiful apartment. We had planned a trip to London for many years and it couldn't have gone much better. Richard's apartment is ideally situated. My husband and son found a gym conveniently located in the complex which they used each morning. We used our Oyster Cards to travel from Imperial Wharf Train Station into London each day for the three weeks we were there. Each day we would visit tourist attractions, museums, etc.. We loved it! On the short walk back to the apartment we'd call into Tescos and grab a few items for tea. Now we are home and missing all of it!! Our trip to London was to be my second trip and my last. But before exiting Richard apartment for last time we promised each other we want exactly the same experience in two years time. Hopefully we will be able to stay at Richard's apartment again. Thanks again Richard and Sid for transporting us when we arrived. We throughly enjoyed every minute of it. 08 July 2017 - 17:37:00

Staying in this property was perfect for my London trip. It was a beautiful 2 bedroom/2bathroom property. It had a wonderful kitchen and very comfortable den area. There is a local market a block away from the location. It was perfect for two people to stay in. The location was very secure and in a wonderful area. It was central to Fulham and easy to get around to visit all the sites in London. I would recommend this location and using VRBO was great to communicate with property management. The whole London trip and staying here was fantastic. 10 October 2017 - 22:50:00
  19. My friend and I decided to spend Christmas in London and had the good fortune to be able to rent the Fulham property. The unit was very nice, the building secure and the owner allowed us in early due to our travel circumstances. There are restaurants near, a market, hotels, shops and a close connection to an overground rail. We didn't feel we had enough time to explore the area so we definitely decided we needed another trip back and wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again. 09 January 2018 - 22:49:00
The apartment was modern, comfortable, clean, safe and exquisitly decorated.Top of the line!! We were met on time by the friendly housekeeper, and were able to make tea and coffee, even eggs for breakfast in fridge! The location is perfect, buses ran frequently to all areas and West End,loved the river walk.Lots Rd dinning pub and Indian in complex, excellent food..Great supermarket and gym within walking distance..Kings Rd the best shopping too! We would definately like to return and recommend to friends. Thanks! Angela and Bill 26 January 2008 - 02:25:27
