The location is stunning, a perfect getaway with no traffic noise and so peaceful. We had the reservoir virtually to ourselves, with a lively young Labrador in tow, he was in his element, running and swimming with no roads to worry about. The house was very spacious so everyone had enough space, important for young families with different wake up times and nap times. All modern conveniences were covered, in the kitchen and laundry and bathrooms. It was clean and beautifully furnished and lovely to make cosy log fires in the evenings, we even used the outdoor fire pit and hot tub. As a large group, we would have liked to use the bigger lounge altogether, but as the youngsters wanted tv we found ourselves squashing into the smaller lounge, preferring to be altogether. A relatively short journey was important given the strict arrival and departure times. 06 January 2017 - 12:40:51

We booked Waterside Manor for a special family occasion to enable 4 generations to share some time together. The house is really lovely - genuinely welcoming and lovely decor, excellent facilities and well equipped for a big family of varied tastes. The location was perfect and we were lucky enough to enjoy superb sunsets and sunrises over the reservoir. Watching rowers skull across the water in the morning mist against a pink sky, geese honking and ducks quacking was very special. The adventure park was a great hit with the little ones as was the hot tub. Helen Hume Kendall was very helpful both before and during our stay, and really tried to ensure that the weekend was all we had hoped for. The bedrooms and the bathrooms were excellent, and the downstairs space enabled us all to enjoy each other's company without feeling in the least bit crowded. An excellent place to stay and highly recommended. 23 January 2017 - 17:35:00

We were a very mixed party from 6 to 60 - but all found the stay very enjoyable. We made use of all the facilities including the games room and outside hot tub and found nothing we could have suggested to add. The covered seating area overlooking the lake was really relaxing and comfortable. The place has an air of "home from home" - but with knobs on! 16 February 2017 - 13:50:00

Great weekend at Waterside Manor. The house was exactly how we expected and everything you needed. Perfect for big groups. The location is absolutely stunning and close by to good country pubs and other activities. Amazing garden at the house over looking the lake, with terrace and hot tub, couldn't of been more perfect for our occasion. Beds we're comfortable, house was spotless and everything you might need for a grand dinner party or relaxing in the living spaces or games room. Would definitely recommend. 20 February 2017 - 12:01:00

Excellent facilities and the property is fantastic for groups. The property is vast, and so there is plenty of room to spread out in- boys watching sport in the Gun Room and girls in the hot tub! Excellent cooking facilities and dining room big enough for everyone to enjoy the fruits of their labour. An excellent butchers nearby in Wadhurst too. The house is perfect for walks in the country (with pubs not too far!) or for relaxing in the gardens with stunning views over Bewl Water. We all had a great time, and would happily recommend. 15 March 2017 - 21:48:00

This house is beyond gorgeous! There are amazing walks through the woods, a peaceful lake. The house itself is very clean, has everything you need and is just stunning. Helen was very helpful, anything I needed she sorted straight away. I would HIGHLY recommend! We are already trying to figure out when we can go back! 24 May 2017 - 07:30:00

I've been in more expensive houses, and I've been in grander houses, but I'd stll choose this place over those. The peaceful and tranquil seclusion, the character and uniqueness of the place whilst still maintaining a cosy and homely feel, the flow of the rooms as you move around it, this property really has it all. We had almost 20 of us here as a family gathering over a long weekend and all of us unanimously agreed we would happily stay there again. If there was any element of the place that didn't quite score top marks it was the mattress in the main bedroom. It was a standard double and quite bouncy so my partner and I would wake each other up every time the other moved in their sleep. Everyone else in the other rooms were happy with their mattresses. Overall a fantastic place which would suit any occasion or individual. 18 May 2017 - 18:11:00

The house although hidden away from it all is really close to Wadhurst station. The views are stunning from almost all rooms. The beds are comfy and facilities fantastic. The house is more than well equipped and spacious. The games room was a big hit. The walks from the house are a delight. Fabulous stay overall. Coming back in the summer. A fabulous venue for a large group, the dining hall and kitchen/diner really lent itself to easy, family living. The bedrooms were wonderfully presented, clean, tidy, cosy and warm. Having the use of the hot-tub, football table, pool and table-tennis was the perfect mix of entertainment - we didn't need the TV! The inglenook fireplace in the main sitting lounge was a wonderful focal point and we enjoyed cosy evenings gathered in there playing card games and socialising. It's a lovely quiet, tranquil place to retreat to with some lovely places to visit nearby. A must-see is Scotney Castle - in the holidays, get there as it opens at 10am (check-times) as parking is a bit limited and it does get busy. The owner, Helen Hulme-Kendall could not have been more helpful and we thank her for allowing us to enjoy her beautiful home. 29 October 2017 - 12:25:00

Beautiful property in a lovely setting on the edge of Bewl Water, perfect for a family weekend of 18 adults. Loads of living space downstairs with several lounges, games room and a huge kitchen and dining room. Bedrooms all impressive with some of the rooms as big as an apartment! Great location for walking or cycling around the lake. Plenty of parking and a really peaceful spot, the hot tub must have one of the best views in SE England. 16 November 2017 - 13:01:00
