My partner and I stayed for 5 nights over the Columbus day week. The apartment was fantastic, spotless and beautifuly decorated. It's actually nicer and roomier than the pictures which are very accurate. A little challenge to find a spot to park your car at night, but not a big deal. From SFO taking bart and a muni it took 45 minutes from baggage claim to front door. Highly recommend this apartment. Thank you Robin ! 07 January 2011 - 21:10:48

The minute my husband, with our 2 boys walked into this apartment, we knew we found a gem. It was absolutely spotless (Robin has great house cleaners) and the decor was lovely. The apartment is much bigger than it appears in the photos. We didn't have a want in the world while staying for a week. Everything was provided from comfortable bedding, lovely aromatic shampoo, conditioner and lotion, maps and ideas of things to do in SF. Bathrobes to use at our leisure. A W/D (which is crucial when travelling with children). The kitchen had every gadget I needed to cook (and I love to cook). And, we had a nice welcoming gift of coffee, milk and biscotti waiting for use. The location is quiet. Easy walk to 24th Avenue. Just fabulous. We will definitely be back. Thank you Robin! 30 March 2011 - 03:03:54

My wife and I stayed here for a bit over 3 weeks and found the apartment very good, it was clean, neat and tidy, plenty of towels etc. and the kitchen was very good. The washing machine and the dryer appear to be new and worked very well, my wife was impressed. Although it is slightly out of the main city it was not a problem the tram/train was just at the end of the street, $2 into the city or a taxi was just as easy and very cheap. We enjoyed SFO and this was a great base to explore from, it was cheap enough that we could go away for a day or two and also not worry about our luggage that was left behind. We have rented apartments in various parts of the world and have found that if you are staying for more than a few days it is far better than a hotel, and a lot cheaper. As always booking this sort of thing sight unseen over the internet is a bit of a worry but I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment. One extra thing was it had only 3 steps to the front door not like most of the other apartments we checked out that had 30 to 40 steps to climb. 01 June 2011 - 04:41:11

We spend 9 days at this wonderful place. We try to visit SF once a year and always stay in a different neighborhood. This neighborhood was quiet and very close to Muni lines. Really on the southern edge of Noe so will need to take a long walk or quick bus ride to the heart of Noe.Love the neighborhood grocery store a half block down Randall. Quickly became friends with the owners who make fabulous hummus, stuffed grape leaves and sandwiches. The unit is everything we needed. Spacious, quiet, clean and a lovely back patio. Although we were never able to get the waterfall to work it was not an issue for us..Loved the ability to grill on the patio after a long day of roaming the city. Robin is a gracious host who was attentive to our needs. She helped me to pull off a surprize birthday partyfor my wife. We would return in a heartbeat.Great value . 09 July 2011 - 16:05:37

This was our first experience with VRBO! And we are very glad it was with Robin. We were pleasantly surprised and it surpassed any expectations we held. It looked just like the picture. Very modern and up to date. The neighborhood was close to public transportation and extremely quiet. The people in the neighborhood were nice and helpful. Anytime I had questions about San Francisco, Robin was eager to help. Staying here made our experience worthwhile! We would definitely stay at Robin's place again. 28 October 2017 - 14:58:00

I stayed here in the unusually dry winter this year and loved my time. I have family around the corner and it was very special to live in the same neighborhood as my grandchildren. Robin was very helpful -- and indulgent -- in helping me spend time with a four-year old in her beautifully appointed and clean(!) flat. I took public transportation all over the city and to Berkeley, coming home by myself at night, and found the location and its access to public transportation convenient and safe. I will stay here every chance I get. 01 March 2012 - 07:02:05

We arrived early and our host was very hospitible and permitted us to check in early and she provided coffee, fruit, oj and bread for our arrival. The flat looks just likie the posted pictures. The only drawback was the lack of available parking, however, the place was clean and roomy and the bed was very comfortable. This was our first trip to San Fransisco and our accomodations were what we expected. 30 April 2012 - 20:35:52

Very attractive, spacious (except for the bathroom), and nicely equipped. No stairs but on a steep hill. We will use again. 21 June 2012 - 22:00:44

We had the pleasure of staying at this property in May 2012 for 6 nights. We were very impressed with the excellent facilities, cleanliness & comfortable atmosphere provided. The owner was very helpful with advice on local sights, transport & events. We wanted to stay away from the hustle & bustle of the city centre & this location was perfect for us. A lovely neighbourhood to stroll & relax, yet only minutes from transport into the City. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit San Francisco. 04 July 2012 - 19:42:36

The apartment was a great place to come back to after exploring the city. As the other reviewers mentioned the apartment is perfect for a couple. The neighborhood was quiet and with it's great local restaurants there is no need to head back to the downtown tourist traps for dinner. The one thing that really did it for us was not having to rent a car. Parking in the area is at a premium (free but few available spaces) but it is easy to get from the airport (BART to Balboa, J train to San Jose and Randall stop, two quick short blocks walk). Once at the apartment we could either take the J train to downtown or the 24 bus to Golden Gate Park. Both are frequent and just as quick if you were driving. The Muni bus pass allowed us on and off any Muni bus, trolley and even the cable cars. If you want to take a trip outside of the city, I recommend renting a car from the apartment for just the days you need it. We used Enterprise Rent a Car-Cesar Chavez office. Rates were less than at the airport and like they say in their ads, they pick you up. We highly recommend the apartment. 16 July 2012 - 01:55:50

My husband and I and another couple just stayed in this property for a week's visit to San Francisco. It is a jewel of a place. We could not have asked for anything nicer. It met all our needs. The listing regarding its location along with the photos and video are very accurate. However, you must experience it to fully appreciate it. It is a great retreat from the city but close to markets, restaurants and cafes. "Toast" on Church Street is a must for breakfast. Further down Church Street, "The Crapevine" is open late for dinner, or a snack after a night in the city. Transportation via Muni is just a short walk to the "J" line with connections to BART and other bus lines to almost anywhere you want to go. The property is very clean and well maintained. The kitchen and bath have all the necessities. The plush robes are a nice touch. The bed is comfortable. And while the pull out sofa bed looked "lumpy" it prooved to be very comfortable with the feather bed topper. When we arrived there was fresh bread on the counter and fresh fruit, coffee and other items were provided. The owner was prompt in response to questions prior to making the reservation and the rental process was very easy. Because of the numerous travel guides and information packets provided in the unit, all of our questions and concerns were addressed in spite of the fact we did not get to meet the owner due to our schedule. We would highly recommend this property to family and friends. Our only regret is we did not get to meet Robin in person to thank her for making stay in San Francisco so enjoyable. Thank you Robin! 23 August 2012 - 05:37:23

My family of four had a pleasant stay here. Robin, the owner was helpful and had everything ready for us. Easy to find, clean, quaint, comfy and in a great neighborhood. Nothing to complain about, recommend it highly. Queen bed is off kitchen, separated by a curtain. Sofa sleeper comfy (albeit noisy) is in living room by front door with TV. Wish there was a TV in the bedroom but that's personal preference. Really cute place. FYI, no tub. 07 September 2012 - 04:33:37

We loved staying here. We were on our honeymoon and this place was perfect. It is in a nice, quiet part of town but it is really easy to get to downtown San Fran or to the wharves using Muni (public transportation). Robin is very pleasant and helpful. We recommend this place for couples, families, or friends. Close by are great restaurants, marekts, and cafes. Have a great time in San Francisco!! 04 October 2012 - 15:24:47

This apartment is great. My wife and I spent 11 days here in Oct. 2012. Light and airy; very comfortable and roomy; well maintained. Nice patio for warm weather days. Great owner; all info needed was discussed beforehand or listed in the handbook. The VRBO listing was accurate and the unit in person more charming than the photos. Quiet, even when the Giants were winning the World Series! Good location. Noe Valley (Church & 24th Sts.), Bernal Heights, and Glen Park neighborhoods all within walking distance and have stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. Small produce market a block of way is well stocked with much more than produce. Whole Foods and Safeway nearby for complete grocery needs. Bus, streetcar, and BART all within walking distance. Takes about 30 minutes to get to downtown SF by transit. We had a car and were able to find street parking within 1/2 block except for 2 times, when we had to walk 2 - 3 short blocks. But pay close attention to the street sweeping schedule --- each block seems to be cleaned on a different day of the week. Overall we had a great time and highly recommend staying here! 03 November 2012 - 20:56:47

I rented the flat for 9 perfect days. The flat is surrounded by the quintessential San Francisco neighborhood, Noe Valley, and yet a short walk to the Mission district. The location couldn't be more convenient, a block from 30th and Church with its restaurants, gourmet markets and coffee shops. Public transportation was a breeze, with J-Train and bus stops just a block's walk. Easy access to the 280 was a plus, the days I needed to head to Silicon Valley. Beautiful backyard, comfortable bed and furnishings, and the kitchen was set up for all of my needs. I also loved the high ceilings and hardwood floors. Robin was a joy to work with, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at her flat again. My highest recommendation!! 24 April 2013 - 11:28:38

Recently, my wife and I stayed for a week at this wonderful Noe Valley home. We've rented very successfully in several locations from VRBO but this was the best. The unit is very comfortable with 14' ceiling that make it feel much larger. It had all the amenities that you might desire as well as some that were real perks. The best was that Robin left us a generous selection of breakfast food for our first morning! That was really appreciated. As well, we found two sets of his-and-hers thick bathrobes at our disposal. The unit is great, mixing Victorian charm with many modern features and conveniences. The location is near Mission Street, an eclectic mix of working class and middle class with some neat stores and shopping nearby. Robin treated us wonderfully and we would highly recommend this Noe Valley charmer. 05 June 2014 - 03:01:25

Me and my girlfriend stayed here as part of our tour across the USA. The host was great, mostly left us to ourselves other than offering some advice and telling us a game was on! Really beautiful place; looks MUCH bigger than the photos. We ended up not even using the front half of it besides the door and washing machine! The back-living area of the kitchen, dining room and bedroom was just so huge. It's in a great location - Safeway and nearby local markets aplenty, and the transit runs just a couple roads away, as well as countless buses. Fantastic stay, would stay again! 13 October 2014 - 20:55:42

Everyone knows how expensive San Fran is, so when I found this property at such a reasonable rate, I was very excited! The location puts you farther from downtown, but once we got the hang of the buses and Bart system, we were set! (plus we don't mind walking) I kept my family busy and we managed to tour Alcatraz, the Muir Woods, a Giants game, Golden Gate Park, Pier 39, Disney Museum, Golden Gate Bridge, and various other smaller places without much hassle at all. I would recommend figuring a way to get a pass for either the bus or Bart, we could have saved some money had we done that. Using Google Maps for the bus system worked really well. Robin, the owner, was extremely helpful....from how to get to the house, the best ways to go somewhere, and how to avoid crowded areas. We were given a lovely welcome basket too. The house itself is very nice, the main bed is super comfy. Our kiddos slept on the sofa bed and were very content. A well stocked kitchen made it easy to make breakfast and even a few dinners in the house. The house is in an old building and has such great character, we loved the high ceilings, and the two rooms made it feel very spacious. If going to San Fran again we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We have stayed in MANY VRBO's and Robin has by far been one of the best owners we've worked with. You can't go wrong with this place! 05 July 2016 - 16:23:00

The apartment provided a delightful home base for exploring San Francisco, and it was surprisingly easy to drive in and out of the City from there. The quiet bedroom was terrific, and the apartment, bright and cheery with high ceilings and lots of character, was a wonderful combination of historic charm and modern convenience. The neighborhood was beautiful and provided the hilly exercise we expect in the City. Street parking was easier than most areas. Thank you to Robin for being a great host and leaving us lovely treats for breakfast, which made the stay all the more enjoyable. 27 September 2017 - 17:49:00
