What could be better than your own private haven on the desirable and picturesque Ile Saint Louis! The studio is clean, well appointed, well equipped, and comfortable. The location is prime close to restaurants, a small supermarket, the metro and RER, and of course, to sites and attractions. We recommend that you enjoy beautiful and enchanting Paris with Nicolas apartment as your home- base. Karen and Avi June 2013 30 July 2013 - 00:28:58

We loved everything about the apartment on Ile St. Louis. It was exactly as advertised, and a great value for the price. For us, we couldn't have asked for a better location. Staying on the island was magical. Such a quaint neighborhood, with pretty much everything you need very nearby the apartment. The apartment is also close to several public transportation stations, so we could easily get pretty much anywhere in the city fairly easily. We prefer not going out for breakfast, so we bought eggs, cheese, etc at the nearby market and made our own breakfast. The kitchen is not big, but certainly met our needs. If we are fortunate to make it back to Paris, we will definitely be staying at the Ile St. Louis studio!!! 14 October 2013 - 19:01:00

I enjoyed a long weekend in Paris and stayed in both the one bedroom and studio owned by Nicholas, both in the same building on Ile St. Louis. The location is fantastic; I have stayed previously in the Marais but ISL is even better, as it is more central for all the walking I do. Both apartments were fully stocked with everything I needed, corkscrew included! The showers and bath areas are spacious with excellent water pressure. And the towels provided are big and cozy. The photos on the site do a very good job representing the spaces. While the studio is indeed a studio, it was certainly big enough and I did not feel claustrophic. (I live in Manhattan though, so am used to small spaces.) If you can stretch your budget, consider the 1-bedroom -- I thought it had more of a "vacation feel" with the additional room. But the studio was lovely and surpassed all my expectations. The apartments are only 1 or 2 flights up a winding staircase -- typical of all older apartments --and I had no difficulty at all with my small wheely bag. Neighborhood shops have everything you need; I particularly liked the small grocery store and patisserie. Tourists tend to take over the island during the day, but nights were calmer and I did not experience any noise issues. Ile St Louis is a magical island in the midst of a magical city. I would stay in Nicolas's apartments again tomorrow if I had the chance. 06 December 2013 - 16:36:54

The apartment is perfect and ideally located. Although it is a studio apartment, the configuration makes it appear larger. The pull-out sofa bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is large and modern with a lovely big shower. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the washer/dryer works really well. We highly recommend this apartment. 30 December 2013 - 17:58:21

We just returned from 10 wonderful days in the apartment. We were more than pleased with everything this apartment had to offer: charm, well-supplied (kitchen items, hair dryer, etc) and of course FABULOUS location. Everything you might need is literally steps away--grocery store, patisserie, wine shop, cheese shop, restaurants and fresh flowers. My husband attended a conference for 3 days and I stayed alone in the apartment. I felt perfectly safe being alone in the apartment and neighborhood. Though smaller than most Americans might be used to, we were very comfortable--tons of storage for all your stuff. Perfect for 2 people. 25 March 2014 - 02:41:42

Close to Notre Dame yet so quiet and easy access to every major site. Located on a historical classy Island residential area of Paris. Yet Ideal location apt just around the corner from small quaint village street where you can purchase cheese from a outrageous cheese shop, bakery shop, wine shop, butcher store, small grocery store or eat at the many fine restaurants. Are favorite was Les Fous Bistro. The apt. was small and cozy but perfect for two. Cleaned and had a great pull out couch with comfortable mattress. Modern bathroom small kitchen with complete cooking and kitchen equipment if needed. Loved the built in washer and dryer. Just down the street from the beautiful Seine. Nicholas responded quickly to any questions I had and was very helpful through out our stay. If staying in Paris we highly recommend this apartment. 19 May 2014 - 05:41:07

My daughter, her 16 year old daughter and I lived in the small beautiful apartment for 6 days. It was clean, contained everything one could possibly need, and when the beds were put up in the morning, there was adequate room for the 3 of us. Both the large studio couch and the single bed were firm and more comfortable than my own at home! The best location in all of Paris. Our landlord was available, and helpful at a moment's notice. When we return to Paris we will never stay anywhere but at 11 Rue Bude 17 July 2014 - 02:29:04

My sister and I visited Paris for the first time on October 17th and were very happy staying at this clean cozy Parisian studio. Perfect for 2 people, it comes with all amenities and a very spacious bathroom, Internet and you can make phone calls home from the Studio's phone. On the counter you will find a book with information on places to eat, owner's family pictures and an English phone number to call for a Taxi.To get to the apartment you will need to go up a 20 steps spiral stair, it is a very easy climb. We took the RER B from the airport for $10 Euros and were at our destination in less than 30 minutes, the studio is only a 10 minute walk from Saint Michel station ( make sure you pack light, stairs at the station are narrow and quite few), feel free to roll your suitcases into the neighborhood, it is not a big deal. Notre-Dame just a few blocks away and the beautiful Seine river a block away. Nicolas the owner is a very pleasant man and very attentive, he will answer any question very graceful. This beautiful neighborhood is extremely quiet at night and during the morning you could walk to Caf and Bakeries, there is a local market near by where you can buy what you need if you wish to make breakfast at home or to buy a wine bottle. We bought water at the local store since it is super expensive at the tourist site. As you step out of the building to the left ( right on the corner) you will find an exquisite gelato place. We had a wonderful time in Paris and will stay at this Studio again. 06 November 2014 - 02:49:48

Our stay on the Ile de St. Louis was perfect in every way. The apartment was in the best location to enjoy the treasures of Paris, all with walking distance. Hardly ever used the metro pass. The neighborhood on the Ile so perfectly charming and Parisienne with the outdoor cafes, boutiques, amazing glac, and all in the shadow of the Notre Dame. The accommodations in the apartment met all our expectations and more. Roomy bathroom, convenience of washer and dryer, kitchen to prepare meals with items bought from delectable bucherie, boulangerie, creamerie. Quiet street and quiet building. The owner made check in and check out easy, as he was most accomodating. Can't imagine a better place to stay, it is MY Paris address for any occasion. 06 November 2014 - 14:57:14

What can I possibly add to the ecstatic recommendations given this little spot of heaven, the best location in all of Paris? Rue Bude is a very quiet one block street ending at the Seine in one direction, a very busy little street in the other, with charming shops, a grocer, a boulangerie and cafes all only two blocks to the bridge taking you to Notre Dame. No need for taxis, most of Paris is within walking distance or by the metro. Grandmother, daughter and teenage granddaughter made this our home for one week, wishing that we could have remained for a month. The apartment is charming The description of the amenities provided was accurate, including a washer and dryer, a complete little kitchen and the bed and cot, which one opened at night, were more comfortable than ours at home! Our teenager loved the bathroom with its modern shower. We easily made many of our meals, the groceries, wine and bread purchased just around the corner The owner, whose English is perfect, could not have been more helpful. Having seen other studio apartments in Paris, none can come near in comparison. 03 December 2014 - 22:23:20

This studio is a wonderful treasure. It was described accurately and the pictures are accurate, as well. No unpleasant surprises! The location cannot be beat. You are in the middle of everything, yet feel removed from the hustle and bustle on quaint Rue Bude. We were concerned whether or not it would be noisy, but the windows are so great they keep any noise out. We slept late every morning as the mattress is amazing. With the cozy kitchen, comfy bed, washer/dryer, and lovely bathroom, this apartment is so wonderful you want to keep it a secret! 13 April 2015 - 21:43:54

This apartment is the perfect choice to experience the quaint nuances of Paris the city. You are right in the hustle of the busy Parisian cafes and shops yet in the apartment you have your own oasis. The pull out bed was amazingly comfortable and it was nice to be able to have a few groceries on hand in the full kitchen. We had been traveling for a couple of weeks so it was wonderful to be able to do laundry efficiently. Everything you might need in a fabulous location, we hope to be back before too long. 02 June 2015 - 18:55:31

My Husband and I stayed in this studio for 4 nights in mid-April. Pros - fantastic area, beautiful historic and charming building, great restaurants and gelato shops within just a few blocks, Notre Dame is right across the street. Cons - every piece of furniture, utensil, kitchen appliance, etc, is so old, you don't even want to use it, sit on it, etc. And there was nothing in the apartment in the way of spices, oils, plastic wrap or even laundry detergent. So be prepared to have to buy everything. This is not like a VRBO in the states. The worst part of our stay was the noise level. The building is very old, therefore the walls are tissue paper thin. It's not the type of place where you can leave the windows open at night for fresh air. Because of this, we would not stay here again. 22 June 2015 - 16:09:11

We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The flat is clean, completely stocked kitchen, unbelievably well located......charming neighborhood, easy walking to many things and easy metro access. We actually slept 3 people in the flat which was cozy but quite doable. Owner left detailed instructions and helpful hints. We will be back!! 22 June 2015 - 17:21:23

The location is perfect. Close to everything including good places to eat within a short walk. The metro is a five minute walk. It is in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment is well stocked with all appliances. The owner was very helpful and could be reached on the phone when necessary. We would like to go back and stay longer. 26 June 2015 - 21:04:19

Great Location. Small studio, but very clean. Great bathroom. Walk out the door, and you just know you are in Paris. Would definitely rent again. Great shopping and restaurants locally and very close to major attractions and metro system. Perfect spot for walkers. 28 February 2016 - 17:18:15

The three of us absolutely loved our stay in this incredibly charming Ile St. Louis studio. It is so well designed, with high ceilings and clever storage, that it never feels small. The beds are unbelievably comfortable. We loved having a washer/dryer. The bathroom is well designed and spacious. Everything is clean and in good working order. The owners were very responsive and helpful. And the location is simply amazing - the island is an oasis in the very heart of Paris. I highly recommend this apartment. It was the highlight of our vacation and we plan to come back. 27 June 2016 - 12:12:24

I made my first solo trip to Paris (third overall) this week, and I stayed at this lovely little studio in the heart of the 4th Arrondissement. Nicolas was a pleasure to deal with, and the apartment was perfect for me! It's small, but well appointed for a single or couple, with a large window that admits lots of light. When I closed the drapes at night it felt cocooned and homey. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen have up-to-date and modern appliances and cabinets. The neighborhood is eminently walkable, with shops, butchers, cheese mongers, ice cream stores, and restaurants galore in a picturesque setting. It's also right next to Ile de la Cit, and within walking distance of The Louvre and other central spots. Am I gushing? That's how much I loved it. I would definitely stay here again, and I have already recommended it to friends. This is a great place to stay! 04 November 2017 - 12:03:00
