A lovely studio that has everything you need. The location is fantastic. If you can't walk there then the metro is 200 mtrs away. Beautiful views, cafe downstairs, shops all around. Loved the place! Thanks Catherine 11 July 2017 - 09:32:00

This flat is absolutely wonderful! We were met by Catharine, who showed us the flat and gave us some tips about local hotspots to check out. She was lovely, and made our first impression in Paris a suburb one! We couldn't have asked for a better location to stay in. Located off the main street, in an inner courtyard, this flat is the perfect spot to get away from it all, at the end of a long sight-seeing filled day. We felt safe, slept soundly on the wonderful bed, and the pedestrian traffic noise below was totally shut out by the double paned glass windows. We will definitely inquire about staying at this place again when we return to Paris. 01 June 2016 - 15:46:00

Very nice place with lots of considerate extras. On a very busy square so can be loud at night. We just closed the windows and put on the fan and although it was 30 Deg Celsius it was not too hot. Bed was comfortable. Just a lot of stairs to carry a heavy suitcase in and out. Catherine was lovely and very accommodating to settle us in. Lovely coffee shop around the corner and a short walk to the Louvre. Perfect location for us to walk everywhere. 09 September 2017 - 16:16:00

We loved the location; walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame and 90% of what we wanted to see. Catherine was thoughtful and room was immaculate. Also, we had a beautiful view overlooking central square. 11 September 2017 - 11:10:00

Fantastic Location. Catherine was a great help, getting us oriented and set up. This Flat is again in a wonderful location, just minutes from Les Halles Metro Stop; minutes from Notre Dame and the Louvre. We were able to walk to both, as well as the Left Bank and the Latin Quarter. From the Metro, we could go anywhere and did. We even got used to the steps up 4 floors! The Flat had everything we needed for our week in Paris. Thank You Catherine for helping us make wonderful memories of your lovely city! We will definitely be back to both Paris and your flat! 08 October 2017 - 18:14:00

We really enjoyed our stay in Les Halles and Paris. Walking distance to a lot of amazing things in Paris and close to many Metro and rail lines. Conveniently located near the RER line that arrives directly from CDG. The apartment is well suited and the bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The apartment also had lot's of nice touches and amenities. Catherine was an amazing host and had many recommendations and advice. The apartment is close to many great shops and restaurants. Would love to stay there again. 28 October 2017 - 22:48:00

So glad I found this apartment! So handy for everything. Great that towels and toiletries are provided. Lovely touches with being left sone treats which is very kind. Can't hear a thing from outside considering it's above a busy square. Loved that it was 4 flights of stairs up because it burnt off all the food we consumed in Paris! Would recommend 29 October 2017 - 08:32:00

My husband and I stayed here for our first trip to Paris and it made our trip that much more special. The apartment itself was beautiful, clean and right in the center of the Paris. We were able to walk to everything, which was great. Three nights we even cooked there, after visiting some open air markets to buy fresh produce. The resturants around the apartment had great food and were lively! Catherine, was so very helpful and attentive. She was friendly, willing to answer any questions and was quick with responses. This apartment was perfect, I can't say enough positive things about our entire experience there. We were so happy we stayed here and would recommend it to anyone! When we go back, we plan to stay here again! 06 June 2014 - 12:23:10

We thoroughly appreciated our stay in this flat. A simple well-appointed flat in a historic building. It had everything we needed. The location is excellent. Catherine the owner gave us very helpful tips for things to see in the quartier, like the oldest patisserie in Paris. Easy to walk to many sites, and very close to the metro. You must be comfortable walking up 4 flights of winding stairs - great if you use a fitbit! 31 August 2014 - 16:42:07

This was our first trip to France and our first time leasing a vacation rental by owner flat. I must admit to some initial concerns both about communications, given our French skills are sadly lacking, and that the flat might not be as pictured or described. I had no need to worry! The flat was just as pictured and spotlessly clean. Our hosts were in contact prior to our arrival to welcome us and give us check in information. They even helped us with our luggage and showed us around the flat, ensuring we knew where to find what we might need and how to operate everything. Our hostess had thoughtfully provided coffee for the coffee-maker, along with sugar, powdered cream, an assortment of teas and some packaged foods and goodies, dishes, and cooking utensils, corkscrew, extra lightbulbs, a sewing kit, and other amenities. She included maps and recommended a lovely, old bakery not too far from the flat, with the best croissants I have ever tasted! The very comfortable bed and modern casement windows muffling any outside sounds ensured a quiet, restful sleep. It was difficult to believe we were only a couple of minutes away from the main train station and in the heart of a bustling city. It felt as though we were in a quiet village. Occasionally, we would hear one of the neighbours, but no more than we would at a hotel or inn--or even back home in our own flat. The location was excellent for exploring Paris by foot or by the train. The Louvre is only a short walk as were banks, shopping and cafes. Even the walk up the stairs was worth it--and was a good warm up for all the other stairways of Paris: to the trains, in the museums, to the top of Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower. No wonder the people of Paris are in such great shape! The view of the fountain from our window was lovely. We enjoyed just sitting at the table and enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and looking out the window at the people in the square around the fountain. We are so happy to have found this lovely flat on VRBO and even more happy that it was available and Catherine entrusted it to us. Being able to stay there really was a wonderful start to our first visit to France and made such a favourable impression that we are recommending it to our friends, families and fellow travellers and would happily stay there again should it be available if we are fortunate enough to visit Paris again. Merci beaucoup, Catherine! 27 October 2014 - 05:06:53

I stayed 1 week at this studio. It is centrally located to the Louvre, the Marais, the Seine and many other sights as well as shopping and restaurants. There are several Metro stops close by so you can get anywhere easily. The apartment was relatively quiet but you do have to keep the windows closed at night or you can hear the patrons at the restaurant below or early morning street cleaning, etc., not a problem by any means. The studio is on the 4th floor so be prepared for carrying your suitcases up all the flights but this was only a small inconvenience. Catherine's son checked me in, was a great help and was so very patient in waiting for me to arrive as my flight was delayed and then traffic into Paris was horrible! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean with a good shower. I would stay at Catherine's apartment again when I come back to Paris. 26 September 2015 - 21:09:36

My wife and I stayed at this property for 6 nights and had a great time. The property is located very close to a major metro station from which you can get to essentially the entire city, many services and sights are also within easy walking distance. Upon our arrival at the property we were greeted by the friendly and professional owner who went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information we needed to enjoy our vacation. The place was clean and nicely appointed. While the place isn't huge it was perfectly comfortable for a couple. The only caution I would give about this property is that if you are elderly or have trouble climbing stairs the climb up may be difficult for you, especially with baggage but if stairs aren't an issue for you this is a great property in central Paris at a reasonable rate. 13 June 2016 - 16:34:39

First off, I would like to extend my gratitude to Catherine for being such a gracious host. Before my trip, I had emailed her asking for advice and recommendations concerning our visit to Palace of Versailles, a subject completely separate to the flat, and she had responded very quickly with as much knowledge as she had. Then when I met her in person, she was just as lovely, friendly, and accommodating. She's the epitome of a perfect host, helping carry our luggage up the 4 flight of stairs, giving wonderful eatery suggestions, and providing comprehensive instructions on how everything in the kitchenette worked (she even mapped out the exact train transfers for our trip to Versailles). Overall, the flat was as picturesque as you could imagine. It was a charming, beautiful, clean flat with a fantastic view, and most importantly, a very functional kitchenette that allowed us to cook a delicious dinner during Xmas. We were surrounded by restaurants, bars, grocery shops, and it was walking distance to many top historical landmarks. We really couldn't have stayed at a better place. Thanks, Catherine! We hope to return as soon as we can. 29 December 2016 - 17:46:45

My husband and I had never been to Europe, let alone Paris, so it was imperative that I find a rental apartment that included a friendly, trustworthy owner - and with Catherine, that is certainly what we got. She answered all of my emails so promptly before our trip that I knew we had nothing to worry about. I booked a shuttle from the airport and it made us almost two hours later than expected to meet up with Catherine for check-in. We communicated by text and phone and she was extremely accommodating. Shortly after we arrived at the meeting location almost next door to the flat, she was there to warmly greet us and assure us that it was no problem. One thing to keep in mind, is that there are a total of five flights of winding stairs to reach the flat, which can make it tricky if you have a lot of luggage. Luckily, Catherine was there to help us with one of our suitcases and we all paused for a break after the third flight! (Lesson: Don't pack so much!) This really only lead to the charm of the place though, as Catherine informed us that these flats would have been the servant's quarters way back when the Louvre was still the royal palace. Once she let us into the apartment, we were rewarded for our climb with a gorgeous view through two large windows, of the Fontaine des Innocents in the square below. This view was really breathtaking at night. We considered those stairs a part of our daily exercise regime - and a good excuse to indulge in an extra French pastry - or two. The flat is small, but perfectly laid out, clean and beautifully renovated. We agreed that the bed was one of the most comfortable we had ever slept in! It was warm when we visited, even for October, so we often had to throw the windows open to cool the place off when we got back from our adventures. A small fan would probably be good for the heat of the summer but the open windows did the trick for us. And when we closed them, you could hardly hear a thing of the sounds in the square down below. We slept very peacefully every night. We did encounter one issue with the shower drain not working properly but I texted Catherine and she responded within the hour. She had someone there to fix it the next day. The best part was the location. Le Centre Pompidou? Five minutes? Le Louvre? 10 minutes. And everything else was easy to reach by the VERY easy-to-use Paris Metro, at just a 2 min. walk. We would highly recommend this lovely flat to all visitors to Paris! Merci Catherine! 29 October 2014 - 15:52:45

This apartment is in a great location. Close to many major attractions. The owner met us at the apartment...even carried my bag up the stairs for me! She had some great suggestions for restaurants close by. The apartment is beautiful just like the pictures show. Very clean and the bed is very comfortable. It has a full kitchen and Catherine had even stocked it with coffee, tea, juice, water and some snacks. Very thoughtful. I would definitely stay here again. It is located up a few flight of stairs but this really wasn't a problem for us. Thank you Catherine for sharing your amazing place! 16 November 2017 - 23:00:00

I spent 6 nights at this lovely studio. Firstly, i was met by the owner, Catherine, the most charming and friendly of hosts who couldn't do enough to make me feel welcome. Next, the view over the square is amazing and I loved being able to open wide the windows. The decor is calm and tasteful. The bed was big and very comfortable and the modern kitchenette was perfect for my needs. The quality of the crockery and cutlery was excellent and the refrigerator was full size. The Nespresso coffee maker was an added bonus. I loved the bathroom: nice big shower area and wonderful lighting. Also there was plentiful hot water and the towels were white, soft and fluffy. Perfect!! I loved my stay and would definitely highly recommend! 06 November 2017 - 20:15:00

My 18 year old daughter and I visited Paris for the first time November 12 - 19. This property was absolutely perfect! Catherine's son met us to show us the property and get us settled (which was lovely because he carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs for me!). The square that this flat is located on is lovely...plenty of shops and cafes right outside the door. Two metro stations are very close as well. This flat is very cozy and Catherine adds the perfect touch with some treats and bathroom necessities. Everything you need is right there. A good sized fridge and kitchen amenities too. The flat is on the 4th floor (actually 5 flights up...101 stairs to be exact), which I came to appreciate as the exercise every day was quite welcome! We would definitely stay here again!!! 20 November 2017 - 13:55:00

My wife and I had an incredible time in Paris and this flat was the perfect place to stay. Catherine welcomed us the first night and covered all the basics with us before leaving us to settle in. This flat is close to so many things! A plethora of food options were so close to the flat including some very tasty bakeries for a quick breakfast or dessert. Notre Dame, the Louvre, and DOrsay museum were all within walking distance and we enjoyed the sights along the way to these places. The Chatelet-Les Halles station (a 2-3 minute walk from the flat) made getting to the other sights very easy! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Paris! Thank you Catherine! 05 December 2017 - 23:51:00

My girlfriend and I just got back from our mini Paris vacation and loved our stay at Catherines quaint little studio. We had an earlier flight and Catherine & her husband made sure the flat was clean and ready(with some wine for my birthday!) for our arrival at 11am which we truly appreciated! They helped us carry our luggage up the four flights of stairs and gave us great info on the surrounding area. The attention to detail in the apt was great, she left us stocked with some juice for the morning, creamers, Coffee etc. the bathroom had slippers and toiletries and was roomy for a studio, couldnt have asked for a better place to stay! As far as the area, this wasnt our first time to Paris so we came to enjoy the food & wine this time around. The studio is centrally located to many great cafes & restaurants. Breakfast brunch was at Benedict which was delicious but make sure to arrive as doors are opening or else wait in a long line. For wine & dinner we thought Les Philosophes was fantastic with some of the best wine and onion soup weve had. Dont forget to check out Rue Montorgueil to pick up fresh bread and pastries, and DO NOT miss the Pain au Chocolat from Stohrer (but brush up on your French before ordering!) we loved the heated outdoor seating areas at the cafes and enjoyed almost all our meals outdoors even in the pouring rain & cold. As far as sights, we walked to every single one even though the metro was just steps from our door. We loved our little trip and cant wait to return back. Thank you! 13 December 2017 - 16:32:00

This is the perfect apartment for a stay in Paris. The location is excellent! Within walking distance of Notre Dame, the Louvre, and other tourist sites. We stayed over the Christmas holiday and enjoyed a beautiful view of the neighborhood Christmas market. The apartment was very clean and cozy with a comfortable bed, updated kitchenette and bathroom, plus original-looking wood beams. There were so many thoughtful amenities included: a tea kettle, nespresso, dishes, extra pillows, wine, orange juice, bottled water, chocolates, etc. I would like to add that the owners were incredibly kind and helpful with directions after a major Eurostar delay from London. They made this an exceptional experience and I would happily stay here again. 26 December 2017 - 10:31:00
