We stayed at this cozy nest in June 2014 for our first trip to Napa, and I must say that the experience was quite enjoyable. This location is only a quick drive to downtown Napa, and is close to various grocery stores, including a whole Foods Market! This was a life-saver for us, since my wife and I have very restrictive diets. The property is also conveniently located close to the Sliverado Trail by which several wineries can be accessed. There's a queen sized bed and a day bed in case you have extra travelers or kids with you, and there's enough kitchen equipment to make small meals and breakfast. It's also pet friendly, in case you want to bring those. The owner runs a tight ship, and maintains a very clean rental. She provided lots of reccommendations for wineries and restaurants in the area, and she's available to provide service, but will not invade your privacy. All told, I had quite a nice time visiting Napa and staying at this rental. 25 June 2014 - 16:02:25

BJ's Nest was a great choice for my two grown daughters and myself. The location is perfect and the studio was spacious enough to accommodate three adults. The view from the balcony overlooking the back yard is breathtaking. The owner was of great help to me when the airlines, which had lost my luggage, was going to deliver it to the home while we were out. The owner so very nice and offered to hold it for me while we were gone. The beds were very comfy and the kitchen is stocked with every item we needed including fresh coffee for the morning. If you like to soak in a tub at night, check this place out, it has a huge soaking tub with an exquisite view. Dont overlook this property when searching for a place to stay in Napa. 09 August 2014 - 16:15:06

I enjoyed my stay VERY much . everything was comfy and clean , the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was a girls best friend with a big Jacuzzi tub . there is a great private outdoor space with hot tub too. Barbara was very nice and helpful, there when you needed her and also made sure I had my privacy. I look forward to staying there on my next visit. I expect we will make it a girls getaway , as my friend loved it as well!! 19 August 2014 - 21:51:30

Beautiful accommodations in a very secluded area. It was a great place to come home to after a full day of wine tasting. 30 September 2014 - 17:04:56

For a mother & 2 adult daughters vacation, this was ideal. Comfortable, clean accommodations; room to relax indoors and out. Hot tub a big plus. Roomy bathroom. Everything private with separate entrance and wooded yard. Excellent location- close to groceries, restaurants, Silverado Trail. Barbara was prompt in her response to my reservation request, provided very helpful info about the area, and promptly returned my security deposit. She is a gracious hostess, but unless you seek her out, provides you privacy. A great place to stay when visiting Napa Valley! 11 October 2014 - 02:31:53

We had an amazing stay at BJ's Nest. Even though it was raining and we didn't get to visit as many wineries as we wanted, the place had everything we needed to enjoy some wine, cheese, and crackers as well as a movie while we listened to the rain. The hot tub was great and the back yard is serene. We never saw the owner besides when we arrived and left and she was very hospitable and offered recommendations to us. If you are traveling with a dog there is an amazing dog park less than ten minutes away and plenty of food options. If traveling with another couple, there is plenty of space and privacy. I highly recommend BJ's Nest and I will stay again if I have the opportunity! 25 March 2015 - 21:49:21

I cannot say enough about BJ's nest. It is everything we two ladies needed. Great location, private, beautiful grounds, luxurious bathroom, comfy beds...I could go on. Stayed in October 2014 and just a bit late on my review, but nevertheless am extremely passionate when I say, choose BJ's nest. You will not be sorry! Judy 27 April 2015 - 22:34:47

My sister, Aunt and I stayed at BJ's nest earlier this month and we would highly recommend it. The two days beds and double bed were perfect for a group of our size. The studio was extremely clean and had the essentials to enjoy a glass of wine (or two) in the evenings and make breakfast in the morning. Great location, short Uber ride into downtown Napa. We also enjoyed both the deck and the hot tub after long days of wine tasting. We all would stay again when we return to Napa. 25 September 2015 - 01:00:27

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in Sept 2015. Everything was as advertised, a nice relaxing place to come home to at the end of a busy day. The location is just outside of downtown Napa, very convenient. Thank you! 08 October 2015 - 20:47:44

My boyfriend and I stayed here on a quick trip to Napa, and it was amazing! It is not right in the heart of downtown, but it was a very quick drive (or cheap uber) to downtown as well as many wineries. After a day of wine tasting there was nothing better than soaking in the hot tub. Barbara was such a gracious host, as well as being extremely respectful of privacy. And the apartment had everything you could need. I would highly recommend to anybody wanting a relaxing stay in Napa, and we cannot wait until we have the opportunity to return! Thanks again Barbara! 12 October 2015 - 16:34:58

Thanks Barbra, we had a wonderful stay at your loft. Our first time out of a hotel stay, and it did not disappoint. Pictures sometimes can be misleading, but everything met or exceeded our expectations. Clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We will certainly recommend the loft to friends and relatives planning a Napa retreat! Steve & Joanne 07 November 2015 - 18:15:58

Your host at this very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgable about the various restaurants and sites in the beautiful Napa Valley area. Barbara has carefully reviewed the local areas in her up to date travelers guide book with great accuracy so you can visit the area with complete confidence knowing that you made the right choice for food and beverage. BJ'S Nest is also great retreat at the end of the day after traveling to the numerous wineries and and shops. We brought our small Australian Shepherd dog with us and Barbara made us feel right at home immediately upon a arrival. Her attached and very clean studio has all the comforts of home with a spacious bathroom, eating area, and bedroom. You are certain to have a quiet evening so you can awake refreshed and begin a new day in one of the most scenic and prized wine growing regions of the United States of America. Thanks Barbara for your gracious help in making our stay in Napa a memorable occasion! 24 May 2016 - 21:15:43

Everything that you could ask for in a weekend getaway. (Minus a microwave) This place is clean, comfy, cozy, quiet, and quaintly decorated. I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the barbecue and hot tub. We definitely plan on returning and highly recommend it. The owner came out to meet us. She was very sweet. We give it 5 stars! 13 November 2017 - 00:12:00

This place is cozy, quiet and clean. Has all the amenities you will require for your stay. The shower is amazing and spacious. Good distance from the downtown area, 25 minutes if you wanted to walk. The yard is spectacular and has so many options to just relax and enjoy the beauty of Napa. Barbara is wonderful and took good care of us. Touched base on regular intervals to ask if we needed anything. Thank you Barbara for a wonderful stay. 26 August 2017 - 01:56:00

10th anniversary trip in Napa! Excited to return and thought we'd try a new place. BJ's Nest, though charming in some aspects, was a real let down for us. Feared not getting our security deposit back the entire trip because of how we felt during our stay. House was about 30 yards from a very busy street & 2 others at the corner. Owner lives above & we could hear her throughout the evening moving around. For 2 adults, only 2 bath towels were provided & we were told they'd only be refreshed every other day due to water conservation in the area, even though we witnessed the sprinklers watering plants & grass several days (?). There were tons of decorative pillows, but few actual bed pillows (3). Luxury usually equates to multiple pillows & towels per guest, not scarcity. A day-bed had another pillow, but with all the cutely framed negative messages, we were scared to use for fear of losing our security deposit. Negative messages included, don't use the shams or decorative pillows as bed pillows (like she knows there's a shortage, but won't address it) or you might get dinged w/ a dry cleaning fee, Don't use the hot tub after 9 on weeknights and 10 on weekends (really??? We're in our 40's & can't enjoy), Take out trash and put it in the receptacles before you leave (what did we pay an extra cleaning fee for again??? We left the place spotless out of fear, not enjoyment). The hot tub itself had an unusually high smell of chlorine, so we didn't use it. I understand cleanliness, but I don't want to bleach my skin either - what an irritation! The light switches for the shower/tub area were hidden behind a bookshelf -very inconvenient. TV needs upgraded. And what about the SMACK of PET ODOR when you first open the door upon arrival -what a horrible 1st impression & it lingered w/ us as a result. Don't mind pets by any means, but the place has to be ODOR free!!!! Tons of locked doors & compartments -very strange and weird. And, let's not forget about the air conditioning. Though there was A/C & Heat, we had NO CONTROL over it. To raise/lower, the book directs you to call the owner (???? Really, who has time for that???)? We've stayed in very nice establishments throughout our life as I'm sure most people renting on here have. None of us need to be reminded of the things we shouldn't do in a rental. Tell us what there is to enjoy!!!! 2 water bottles in fridge -were those free? Wouldn't know -nothing told us? Truly a let down! Don't recommend as upper end. 09 October 2013 - 20:11:51
