Our family of 4 stayed here comfortably for 5 nights. The apartment is very well situated, on a residential street without much traffic or noise for NYC standards, yet only a short walk from shops, restaurants, groceries, metro stops, and Prospect Park. There are two bedrooms, one is spacious with several closets. The other fits a twin comfortably, but is small. There is a kitchen, separate dining area, and living room with a sofa that converts to a queen bed. All of the amenities you would need, including kitchen items, ironing board, hair dyer, and a washer/dryer (!!!) are there. The apartment is clean and comfortable. The owner is friendly and available. I would definitely stay here again! 29 September 2017 - 05:51:00

My friend (from Rhode Island) and I (from California) wanted to stay in an apartment -- rather than a hotel room -- when taking a 5-day glass class at Brooklyn's Urban Glass. We wanted a safe, warm and inviting place in a good neighborhood, close to subways or even within walking distance. This was the perfect place for us. The apartment is extremely well furnished; every detail (particularly in the kitchen) has been seen too. It's clean, modern, warm and full of amenities. The owners live downstairs and were totally unobtrusive. There are lots of restaurants, supermarkets, and other convenience stores nearby. We heartily recommend it. 25 March 2010 - 17:18:00

My husband, my six year son and I had a fabulous stay in Marie-Line's lovely apartment. This spacious light filled space had everything we needed. It is very clean and tastefully furnished. The neigbhourhood is also terrific with lots of restaurants, shops and grocery stores near by. The proximity to Prospect Park is a real bonus for families travelling with small children - don't pass up a stroll through this wonderful park! Travel into Manhattan was quick & easy as there are two subway stations only a few blocks away. It was quite a relief to return to the relative tranquility of Park Slope at the end of the day after the hustle and bustle of Manhattan's museums and shopping districts. We have visited NYC many times and this was by far the best experience in terms of accomodations. It is so nice to have kitchen and laundry facilities on site should you need them. Marie-Line, the property owner, is both proactive and responsive to her guests' needs. In short: highly recommended. 28 May 2010 - 00:57:24

This apartment in Brooklyn has the perfect location for anyone who wants to be close to Manhatten but at the same time explore one of the nicest neighborhoods in Brooklyn. Marieline was incredibly nice and supportive. The apartment itself is spacious and of high and modern standard and equipped with anything you will need for your stay and comfort. We would return to stay here any time and recommend it to anyone interested in having a not only pleasant but perfect stay in Brooklyn! 02 September 2010 - 02:55:22

We're former long-time residents of Brooklyn, who like to visit as often as possible to see friends and eat-eat-eat at the great restaurants there. No need to travel to Manhattan but if we do it's a 15-minute ride on the Q Train to Union Square and another 5 minutes to midtown. We're very familiar with the neighborhood and you really can't beat the location. Very safe and picturesque part of Brooklyn, with so much within walking distance (5th Ave, 7th Ave, Prospect Park, South Slope, Ft. Greene). If you need to take a cab ride to a somewhat inaccessible neighborhood like Carroll Gardens/Red Hook/Willamsburgh, the cost is pretty manageable. We stayed there with our 2-1/2 year old daughter and spent a good amount of time at the playground a block away or at the park. The bathroom only has a shower, so that could be a problem for some parents with toddlers but our little one was ok with that. The apartment itself is clean and very airy/sunny. Lots of room for inviting a few friends over for dinner/takeout. Living room and bedrooms are on opposite ends of the apartment, so it's a nice buffer for sleeping children. The owner, Marieline, and her husband (?) were very friendly and not in our faces about anything. We are planning to stay there again in September. Very happy to write this review as we loved staying there. (Now if only we could find a way to sneak into the Co-op and shop, we'd be even more thrilled!) 13 July 2011 - 18:32:15

Where do I begin? I've travelled a lot in my life and never have I had the luxury to bring home with me on vacation. That's exactly what Marie-Line offers with this Park Slope gem. Each day, after a long day of sightseeing, you will return to every comfort of home that you thought you left behind. Based on the other favorable reviews I had rather high expectations, but I never thought that my expectations would be so drastically exceeded. We are a family with two young children (4 years and 6 months), so comfort and accommodation are our primary concerns. Marie-Line provides that in abundance. It is very clear that she has made a great effort to consider every need that a traveler may have. For example, we chose to travel with a double stroller (bad idea, parents! You'd be better off with two singles), but thankfully we didn't need to use it because a high-quality McLaren single stroller was waiting for us in the coat closet. During our stay (5 days), not once did we run into an issue where something was not provided, and if we had, we could have easily gotten a hold of Marie-Line, as she was just downstairs. This brings up another point worth mentioning: if the thought has crossed your mind that it might be problematic having the property owner so close, rest assured that it is no problem at all. During our 5 day stay, I only ran into her once briefly. In fact, I wouldn't have minded if this happened more frequently, as she's a very nice lady. Again, I can't compliment Marie-Line and her apartment enough. Thank you so much! 04 August 2011 - 16:39:00

We stayed in Marie-Line's apartment for four nights. It was comfortable, very clean, and conveniently located, with a beautiful kitchen and bath plus laundry facilities. It's on a lovely quiet street, and it's very private. I'd recommend it highly! 25 July 2014 - 23:06:49

My husband, my niece, and I stayed at this beautiful Park Slope rental for 3 nights while sight-seeing in NYC. First time for us staying in Brooklyn. We had a great time; the rental is a short walk to subway lines and we enjoyed the walk both in the morning and late at night. We always felt safe--it is a very family friendly neighborhood and has shops and restaurants nearby. (We were always looking at map to get our bearings and passer-by offered assistance!) We wanted to save $$$ by not staying in Manhattan but it was also great to come home to a quiet neighborhood and apartment. The apartment is as the photos show. I was surprised how spacious it was; 2 separate bedrooms and open floor plan with kitchen adjacent to dining and living room. Kitchen well-equipped (even though we didn't cook much) and the apartment is nice and homey with books to read and good internet connections. Mary-Line very easy to contact and work with. We didn't have any needs after we checked in, but I know if we did she would be accessible. My husband and I look forward to returning to NY to see the sights Brooklyn has to offer and we will definitely stay here. PS Great Air conditioning--one in each bedroom and one in the living room. Thanks Mary-Line! 12 August 2014 - 13:58:53

Our family (4 adults) spent 4 nights in this very comfortable apartment & were completely satisfied with our choice. It is excellent value, especially when compared to a hotel stay. The photos on VRBO represent the property accurately, the master bedroom & living-dining area are spacious. Apartment was very clean. We didn't prepare meals other than breakfast, but noted that the kitchen had all the equipment we would have needed. Wifi worked well. The brownstone neighbourhood is quiet & lovely, with a good selection of little restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Both Prospect Park and the Brooklyn museum are within walking distance. There is direct access to midtown Manhattan via the nearby subway lines. The trip takes 25-30 min. Marie-Line responded promptly to our email enquiries & was available to answer the one question I needed ask after arrival. We recommend this apartment. 11 October 2014 - 17:38:10

We were two people, (67+70 years) stayed here for nine perfect days. The apartment was very nice, and well equipped, and situated in the Park Slope area. A short walk to three different subways. Closest subway is 5 min. away. (B+Q trains) A very nice quiet , and safe, neighbourhood. Marie Line was always very helpful, and pleasant. Next trip, this is where we stay ! 04 May 2015 - 18:41:20

My family (2 adults, 2 kids) had a wonderful time in NYC while staying at Marie-Line's apartment. The apartment is spacious, quiet, safe, and welcome to come back to after a day of touring. The apartment is on the top (third) floor and you have a private entrance. We visited during the summer and the A/C kept the apartment cool in the evenings when we were there. We prepared breakfast in the kitchen -- coffee maker, pans for eggs, and toaster are available. The WiFi worked without problem. There is a grocery (Union Market) a 3-4 min. walk away. The apartment is a two minute walk from 7th Ave in Brooklyn/Park Slope. There are many shops and restaurants to visit. 7th Ave isn't as busy as Manhattan, which for me was a needed change after several days touring in Manhattan. The apartment is also a short walk from Prospect Park, which is pleasant to stroll and has playgrounds for kids. As many people said, there is easy access to the subway, a 5-10 min walk and a 20 min ride into Manhattan. We took the R, Q, and F lines. The bus also runs up and down 7th Ave in case you want an inexpensive ride. If you have a Subway Metrocard, that works with the bus too. Taxis and Uber are readily available. We would stay here again for a visit to NYC. Thanks Marie-Line! 13 July 2015 - 14:12:21

Heating adjusted. Close to subway. Safe neighborhood. Friendly host. We had a really lovely stay at Lincoln Place, it's excellent value for money and a great location to explore the city and feel at home. Lots of restaurants, shops and grocery stores, as well as prospect park and other sights within an easy walk. 14 November 2017 - 15:54:00

08 January 2018 - 17:49:00

We stayed here for 3 nights in June of 2017. Husband, wife and two young adult daughters. We enjoyed the apartment - nice bathroom, nice kitchen, comfortable queen size bed in the large bedroom, comfortable twin bed in the small bedroom and a comfortable queen size sofa bed in the living room. Plenty of room for togetherness and also personal space. Lots of towels and bedding and plenty of storage. The washer and dryer were both out of order when we stayed but there are at least two laundromats within a few blocks if you need one. The AC was much appreciated since it was nice and warm and somewhat humid there during our visit. The kitchen is well supplied and there are small, although pricey, grocery stores within a couple of blocks of the apartment. There was a small cart to use for laundry or grocery shopping in the cupboard at the top of the stairs when we stayed there - very thoughtful. We saw, on our last morning there, that we were actually within walking distance of a Target store which would have made grocery shopping much less expensive! We enjoyed making breakfast and dinner at 'home' and having snacks and lunches out while sightseeing. The subway is very convenient and we really enjoyed getting around NYC using the subway system. We highly recommend getting out and experiencing Brooklyn and Manhattan using the subway. We even rode the subway the evening we went to see The Phantom of the Opera - all dressed up. It really was an experience unto itself for us Seattle natives. Mom and Dad enjoyed early morning strolls for coffee and danish at 'Cousin John's' around the corner on 7th off of Lincoln and highly recommend a trip there during your visit. The owner lives in the lower portion of the brownstone and she was there to welcome us and show us how to use the AC and such. We would stay here again if we return to New York. 06 July 2017 - 17:50:00
