It is 2 kilometres south of Bondi Beach and north of the much larger Coogee Beach. A long distance ocean swimming event is held every December between Bondi Beach and Bronte. The three beaches are linked by a paved coastal footpath along the rocky cliff tops, much frequented by tourists and local runners and walkers. The beach is popular with surfers and despite the none rough surf, less abled swimmers can avail themselves of the bogey hole or rock pool towards the southern end of the beach. At the south end of the beach is a 30-metre ocean pool, one of the best known in Sydney. Also directly opposite from Bronte there are some popular cafes. Getting around If you are in Sydney without a car, you can use the number 378 Sydney City Bus leaving Sydney Central Railway Station regularly (and traveling via Oxford Street to Bondi Junction) to get to Bronte Beach. You can also catch a train to Bondi Junction and use the 378 bus from the Bondi Junction Terminus. If you are at Bondi Beach you can walk south along the beautiful cliff walk and be in Bronte beach in about 20 - 25 minutes. Calling to request a taxi to pick you up from Bronte Beach usually results in a wait of about 15 minutes. The 440 route operates between Rozelle and Bronte Beach via Norton St Leichhardt, Parramatta Road, Paddington and Bondi Junction. Some inbound 440 services terminate at Wynyard, while some outbound services terminate at Leichhardt. This route is usually operated by buses from Leichhardt depot. Other things to note We ask that guests respect the rights of our neighbours, this is a very quiet street and we have a strict no party policy. No smoking in the house and no pets allowed.
