Our vacation in Paris was absolutely amazing and our superb accomodations certainly contributed to this experience. Having a "home" base with a kitchen and other excellent amentities helped us rejuvenate so we could experience Paris to the fullest. The location is perfect with markets, shopping, and restaurants steps away. We have definitely recommended this to friends and family and will be returning ourselves! 27 February 2012 - 16:57:40

We were looking for a place that was "off the beaten path" yet in a trendy area with quick access to great shopping, dining and tourist attractions. We found it! The apartment was clean, well maintained, and sharp. Most importantly, the owners/management were friendly, responsive and professional. We are already looking forward to our next visit! 28 February 2012 - 03:25:25

Thank you again for helping create holiday memories of a lifetime! Your apartment was even better in real life than the pictures and by far the most well equipped and comfortably furnished we have seen on our Paris holidays. The central location was very convenient and we really enjoyed the shopping, restaurants and authentic market in the immediate area. We found everything we needed for the best Christmas dinner ever champagne, oysters, foie gras and an amazing chocolate cake from the bakery down the street. Hopefully well see you again next year! 26 March 2012 - 21:24:22

We were looking for a comfortable apartment in the heart of Paris for our week's holiday and this place suited us perfectly. I had been to Le Marais many years ago but boy has it changed, so vibrant with shops, cafes, markets. The flat was in a perfect location to not only enjoy the local neighbourhood with all its delights in and around Rue Bretagne, but also for walking down to the River and to see the sights. Being just off the main road meant it was very quiet, we slept very well. Our hosts were fabulous, easy to deal with answering our questions before we booked and leaving loads of handy tips and information. The apartment is really comfortable, a nice size, very modern with a lovely en suite. We hope to return some day soon, just nip on the Eurostar and we'll be back in Le Marais in a jiffy! 06 June 2012 - 11:24:43

Tam and Martin, our trip this September was so special thanks to your terrific apartment. It more than lived up to our expectations from the web site. Such a lovely place with all the amenities from a beautiful bathroom with a great shower (and water pressure) to a nice kitchen with all the gadgets and more. It is lovingly taken care of and feels very authentically comfortable French while not being stuffy or over the top fancy. The location is wonderfully close to great shopping (some right on our street!), sightseeing, metro (requiring a transfer to most places), food, restaurants, etc. We loved your walking tour cards and your restaurant recommendations! We also loved having a concierge available to us before and throughout our stay. We had the piece of mind and all the amenities/resources of staying in a hotel, while "living" in our own apartment for a whole luxurious week. Thank you for always being so responsive and answering all our questions so timely. It will be a trip we will remember forever. Thank you! 23 September 2012 - 02:21:01

We stayed at this apartment for almost 4 weeks and had a fabulous time. The location of the apartment is perfect. It is in the trendy Marais area, has great restaurants nearby, a grocery store, the Metro, lots of shopping and anything else you need. The apartment is so centrally located. We could find fancy dining or casual lunch spots and bakeries, all within walking distance. The apartment is even nicer than the pictures show. My husband and I stayed for almost a month and loved every day there. The kitchen was large enough for cooking, the dining area was very comfortable as were the living room, bedroom and bathroom. The building was very cute and parisian, and the elevator was great when moving our luggage. The apartment owners were amazing hosts. They greeted us upon arrival, were so helpful with recommendations and fast to respond to our emails. They answered any questions we had almost immediately! My husband fell ill during the trip, and they were so wonderful and were able to accommodate us when we had to stay a few extra days. I would stay in this apartment again and recommend it to anyone. The location, apartment, and owners are all wonderful. I only have truly good things to say! 29 March 2013 - 17:04:18
  7. We stayed in this wonderful flat for a week. It had absolutely everything we needed, and then some. The owners left very useful notes about the neighborhood (where to eat, shop, etc) and we had a lovely concierge ready to help when we needed. The apartment was spotless, and even more beautiful then it appears on the website pictures. Its location is also amazing: right in the Marais, by the Marche des enfants rouges. I would definitely go back. 26 June 2013 - 13:32:40

Our hosts were always available and exceptionally helpful - so important during a four-week stay. The clean apartment is well represented in the photos and is quite comfortable with many amenities. All sorts of places of interest are well within walking distance, and just a stone's throw away is the Rue Bretagne which provides a wonderful array of artisanal food shops and lots of local colour. We would definitely recommend this property to friends. 18 November 2013 - 19:41:52

We have stayed in this comfortable, lovely apartment several times and will return. It's in an elevator building so dealing with luggage is easy. The neighborhood is ideal - quiet but with great shopping very close. The kitchen is beautifully equipped. Wi-fi, cable and phone are excellent. 27 October 2014 - 15:57:04

My family and I loved everything about this apartment. It is well appointed, spacious and extremely comfortable. The owners left very helpful notes for use of appliances as well as favorite local spots. The neighborhood is ideal with fantastic restaurants, shops and galleries. The Picasso museum is 5 minutes away. I would absolutely rent here again. 11 January 2015 - 02:48:53

Our family of five (with 3 children 10 and under) spent a lovely weekend in this fab Marais apartment. So easy to get to from Gare du Nord and brilliantly located for day trips in to the centre - easy walking, even with little legs, in to Notre Dame and to pick up the boat bus along the Seine (a favourite of ours!). The flat itself is beautifully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. Despite being so central it is very quiet, though there are plenty of places locally to grab delicious food after a long day of walking (the very helpful information found at the flat detailed lots of places to eat, shop etc). Would definitely stay there again. 24 August 2015 - 08:47:54

This apartment was wonderful! Charming with plenty of room for the three of us, and convenience of all the amenities. The 11yo especially liked the wifi. :) The beds and furniture were all really comfortable, which is important when you are walking around Paris all day. The location was fabulous--nice to have Les Enfants Rouge right around the corner. Also many other good restaurants close by in the Marais. Easy to get to three nearby Metro stations too. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others. The owners and concierge were great with communication and information and very responsive. Worry free! 14 November 2015 - 13:45:39

We had the best vacation possible at Cosy Charlot. Everything in the apartment was as explained by the owners - but better! The greeter who met us explained everything clearly in English. The apartment was (dare I say it) totally hipster with exposed wood, a killer kitchen, and some ornate design touches. We enjoyed lazy morning inside, drinking coffee, lazing on the couch, and admiring the details of the apartment. The kids had space to play in the living room. The Marais location is literally in the center of Paris with most of what we wanted to see accessible by walking. By design we arrived in the middle of the famous biannual sales period and were perfectly situated to do some major retail damage. We are already talking about an annual shopping pilgrimage and will for sure book the same apartment. The neighbourhood is also wonderful - especially the Marche des Enfants Rouges next door. We felt extra security everywhere and that was reassuring. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone else - you will love it! 15 February 2016 - 10:54:57

My mother, husband and I truly enjoyed staying in the well appointed and situated apartment in the Marais. Shopping and great restaurants all nearby, and within short walks to many of the points of interest we were excited to visit. We were met by the property manager, who provided us with all the information and tips we needed in perfect English. The owners had compiled a binder with detailed instructions on all the appliances in the apartment as well listings of nearby restaurants and local services, which was very thoughtful and truly appreciated. The apartment was roomy and well laid out, and the kitchen was awesome. We would recommend a stay in this apartment to friends and family. 15 May 2016 - 04:27:30
  15. This beautifully decorated apartment is a jewel in the middle of the Marais! No space wasted, very functional but also some amazing design at every corner. There's a full size very finely carved antique iron & wood gate (from Iran? India?) installed on the living room wall, as if you had just entered some Iranian palace (or indian for that matter!) The kitchen bar, with its tainted glass and cozy lighting, is a tempting invitation for an evening cocktail which we did! :-) The en-suite bathroom skillfully decorated with emerald-style stones and richly furnished book-shelves stands comparison with any 5* hotel Ive ever been. As for the location, rue de Bretagne is a 1-minute walk, with lots of excellent typical bars and restaurants to enjoy. Try Caf Charlot, which is THE reference on this side of Paris, try its Sunday morning brunch (breakfast for early goers), watch people go by, youll get a perfect Parisian experience! 05 June 2016 - 16:25:21
  16. This was a wonderful apartment perfect for our family of 4. Two children ages 10 and 8. The apartment was homey and comfortable (beds were very comfortable). The hosts Tam and Martin were very hospitable and quick to respond to all our emails/questions/concerns. The kitchen had everything you needed and they had a drawer full of spices that you could use if you felt the need to cook. Everything was close by, shopping, groceries, restaurants, sights, etc. The hosts provided a wonderful binder that provided instructions for all appliances and suggestions for restaurants and places of interest. The kids loved that we could log into our Netflix account so they could watch TV and during our down time. The sonos speakers were a nice touch. The decor was beautiful. The wooden beams on the ceiling, beautiful carved doors on the closets, artwork, etc. Apartment was secure with two keypad doors before you enter, a lift ( uncommon in most apartments in Europe) and very quiet. You couldn't hear any of the neighbors above or below and the street was quiet. HIGHLY recommend this apartment and the hosts! Thank you Tam and Martin for a wonderful place to stay while we were in Paris. 13 July 2016 - 10:11:30
  17. Wow what an amazing find! We were so lucky to be able to fit in a long weekend at this amazing apartment in Paris. Travelling at the end of the summer holiday with two little boys we had an absolutely fantastic stay. Weve stayed in Paris a few times pre-kids and wanted something a little different on this trip. We really loved our short experience of living in Paris. Sounds cheesy, but really did feel like we lived in this apartment and were popping out for a croissant by the end of our stay. For a busy part of Paris the apartment was very quiet, and we had the windows open for a nice breeze day and night. Our kids (4 and 7) loved the open plan feeling very different from our house or any hotels. They slept on the roll-out and sofa bed, and there is a handy door/screen you can pull shut to close off their room whilst the grown ups stay up. Who whole place was really comfortable and relaxed, just what we needed to return to after a hectic day of touring Paris with our explorers. Marais is a great locations, and the apartment is right in the centre, very easy walk from a handful of metro stations (we used all of them at different times), also an easy walk to the Siene, which we seemed to take a slightly different route to/from each time. Couple of great boulangeries nearby, a small supermarket for the mainstream shop, and of course loads of cafes, bars and restaurants. There is a brilliant guide by the owners, which we used as a starting point, but then we found ourselves just wandering and exploring. Id highly recommend a late night Crepe on your way home, La Droguerie. Ham, cheese and olives. Yum. My only suggestion/regret is forgetting to pick up some fresh coffee for the coffee machine every time we were out. The apartment just needs that aroma of fresh coffee first thing in the morning to really round off the Parisian experience. Loved it. Highly recommended. 03 October 2016 - 21:02:42

We very much enjoyed this lovey, comfortable apartment. It contained all the amenities one needs for a relaxing stay in Paris - nice lighting and decor, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable seating. The apartment is located in a wonderful local neighbourhood of the Marais - there are wonderful shops very nearby for purchasing breads, meats, fish, fresh vegetables, cheeses and wine of course! We explored the area fairly well during our stay but the Seine is also only a 15 minute walk away. When you want to be more far flung, the metro is nearby and an easy way to get to and discover another area of Paris. The owners were great to deal with - always prompt and helpful with any questions. Would definitely recommend. 10 January 2017 - 21:48:51

We so loved our stay here and its perfect in every detail. A delightful cooks kitchen and the owners have thought of your every need. Master bedroom and bath beautiful and so quiet on such a lovely street. We loved the restaurants within walking distance and could always get cabs when we were going further away. It was such a happy warm apartment to come home to after long days of walking and exploring Paris. 05 January 2018 - 16:22:00

We couldn't have been happier with our time in this beautiful apartment in Le Marais. The decor was warm and comfortable. One detail that we really appreciated was the lighting in the apartment - my husband loves good lighting and it was nice to be able to read at night or set a cozy atmosphere for enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day. This seemed to be a rare rental where every single thing worked as advertised. We didn't have one problem with any of the appliances. Tam and Martin were extremely quick to respond to all emails and questions and are very welcoming. They left a notebook full of information about the apartment and the neighborhood which we found very helpful. We absolutely loved the neighborhood. We stayed close by and enjoyed the local cafes and shops most days, but also loved walking to Pompidou, Les Halles, and Notre Dame. Other destinations are an easy metro ride away. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. My older teenage daughters (ages 17 and 19) slept in the fold out beds and our only complaint would be that those fold-outs were not super comfortable for adult-sized bodies. (They are young though and they were just fine!) The bedrooms face onto the fairly quiet street, but there is street noise at times. The windows do a good job of buffering the noise, but it was summer and we chose to have the windows open at night. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend bringing ear plugs. We had a wonderful stay in this apartment and definitely hope to return again! Thanks, Tam and Martin, for your hospitality! 08 September 2016 - 02:15:33
