David's lovely apartment was far more wonderful than he described -- it was sooo perfect!!! It has the exact feel of a getaway in Paris--sophisticated, elegant, delightful, worldy and oh so romantic!! You know you are in Paris without even looking at the fabulous views out of the balcony windows--the Eiffel Tower, Sacre Couer and Notre Dame out of one and the schools along Rue des Ecole out of the other!!! Everything in this smart apartment is at your fingertips: washer/dryer, kitchen, wifi nook, a table that is both a large coffee table and lifts to instantly become a great dining area! David has provided beautiful accoutrement: gorgeous books about France, delightful linen pillows on the white leather sofa, candles everywhere for those nights when just a touch of light is perfect! There are so many different lamps that you have your choice of how light or dark you would like the room to be!! The bathroom is just divine--above the huge shower stall is a huge skylight that makes the bathroom very bright and I love the fixtures and the tiles!!! The bed is so comfortable that you will not want to get of it!!! Linen sheets, big comfy pillows and a cushy white duvet are ultra comfy and there is a big, thick mohair blanket if you need a little extra warmth. David was the absolute perfect host! He greeted us, brought us to the apartment and left us with a huge baguette, croissant, jams, jellies, beer, water, milk and the best butter!!! Far more than we ever expected!!! Along with the books on the coffee table, he also provided maps of Paris and, in the wifi nook, David provided all the information needed to access the wifi, use the washer dryer and some information about places to go!! I have not stopped talking about my trip to Paris and I know that it was made so very special by staying in his apartment--it was not a cold, impersonal hotel but an inviting, warm and elegant home to live for a little bit like a resident of Paris! I know that when I come back for a visit I want to stay here again!!!! 23 October 2013 - 13:39:14

This flat is in a great location..convenient to restaurants, metro, RER, markets and the owner, David, was most helpful before and during our visit. The photos online are representative. It is one large room, perfect for two people, with most of the amenities hidden behind doors-- very efficient and very clean. We felt very safe, the building is very quiet. There was very little street noise. The flat was well appointed...we had everything we could need. We cooked some dinners using fresh ingredients from the local markets ( go to Rue Mouffetard at least once). There is no oven but there is a two burner stove top and plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, dishes and glasses. You can buy rotisserie coked meats to warm in the microwave. We loved the heated towel bar in the bathroom. Great views. We would definitely stay here again. You need a key pad code to get into the building so make sure your have that with you when you arrive ( David will provide). Also check with your cell phone provider to determine if your cell phone and calling plan allows for calls during your visit. There is free wifi in the flat and it worked very well. There are a couple of steps to walk up to get the lift ( which can fit 2 people at a time or one person an one large suitcase) and you will have to walk up one flight of stairs to get to the flat so that is the only thing to consider of you have any mobility issues. We fell in love with the flat and you will too. 05 January 2014 - 12:23:35

I can't imagine having a better experience in Paris! David's flat is an absolutely beautiful updated flat in a lovely 19th century building. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Paris--luxurious bed; kitchen with 2-burner stove, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave; clothes washer/dryer; and even a towel warmer. The location was superb--just across the street from Paris Sorbonne--with shops and bakeries and many Paris landmarks within easy walking distance. The views from the flat are breathtaking; you look out over the university and can see the Eiffel Tower lights twinkle at night. As a woman traveling alone for research, I felt completely safe and at ease here. David was an incredibly gracious host--always available for information or to help if needed. I have already booked my next stay with him, and I plan to stay here whenever I return to Paris. I give this flat (and David!) my highest recommendation! 21 March 2014 - 15:11:25

We stayed at David's flat this spring and it was excellent! The place was wonderful, situated right in the Latin Quarter, only a couple of blocks from major metro stations, Notre Dame cathedral, all kinds of restaurants and a bunch of great fromageries, pattisseries, charcuteries, boulangeries and wine shops. The apartment had everything we needed and more, including a beautiful view from the two little decks. If you're lucky, you'll catch a special sunset behind the Eiffel tower! It was very quiet at night, and there were shutters to keep out the extra noise on the weekend. The bed was nice, with super comfortable linens and good pillows, and it was thankfully long enough for me (I'm 6'4/194cm tall), about the size of a North American queen bed. David was a good host, always an email away if we needed anything. Pick this place for your visit to Paris! You won't regret it! 15 April 2014 - 19:21:18

Loved the location! Quiet street, but action just around the corner. David was a delight. He was very helpful and accommodating. He had croissants, coffee, and jam waiting for us when we got there. The apartment was very clean and a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. Close to major metros and a bus stop outside the door! 25 August 2014 - 01:31:56

We sat on the balcony for breakfast- freshly bought from a nearby bakery. We sat on the balcony at night and watched the Eiffel Tower twinkling. The apartment is in a lovely clean and safe area and you can easily find a metro. Very accessible from Gare du Nord by public transport. A good sized supermarket nearby and pleasant local bars mean you can stay very local and still enjoy Paris. It is a good size for two and very clean with a tasteful interior. I will definitely use it again. 26 August 2014 - 19:22:49

This is a great apartment in Paris. David was a great host. He met us at the apartment to go over everything with us. He recommended great restaurants, boulangeries etcetera. The apartment is in walking distance to many sights, gardens, the Seine and shopping. I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone who wants to stay in the Latin Quarter. It was well equipped for cooking and he even had croissants and jelly, coffee and juice for our first morning. Loved our time in Paris and looking forward to returning. 13 September 2014 - 19:39:26

We loved this apartment and felt very relaxed with the furnishings, the provisions, the balcony, and the view. It was in reasonable walking distance of many of the major sites and the neighborhood was quiet and enjoyable. David is the perfect host, providing all of the essentials, a handbook of information, accessible by phone and text, and was caring and sensitive to our wishes. I don't know why anyone would stay in a hotel when you have an option like this apartment. We will definitely be back and stay here again and have recommended it to all of our friends. David is a charming and wonderful host. Thank you, David...our visit wasn't just memorable, it was fantastic! 23 September 2014 - 19:53:58

This was the perfect location for my husband and I to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. I had never used VRBO before and was skeptical but David was incredible. He stayed in email contact before our arrival and shared helpful information about Paris. We were thrilled at the view of the Eiffel Tower and how close Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Orsay were. (walking distance). The flat was equipped with everything we needed and we cooked several times. We stayed for 7 nights and then switched to a hotel near the Eiffel Tower for 4 nights and wished we would have stayed at the flat for the whole time. During our stay David was available when needed and helped us find places in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this listing. Also...The Paris Pass is SO worth it. Don't be afraid of the metro. It's easy to use. We downloaded an app on our phones call City Mapper that got us everywhere we wanted to go. And finally, the day trip to Normandy is a fabulous experience. 26 September 2014 - 15:04:57

My stay in this gorgeous studio exceeded my expectations. First of all, the studio itself is absolutely adorable. With two charming balconies that overlook picturesque Parisian rooftops and the beautiful Sorbonne, I felt so fortunate to be staying in such a nice flat. And, you can see the Sacre Coeur in the distance and have a great view of the Eiffel Tower (I was there for New Year's and watched the Eiffel light show from my balcony). The location of the flat is incredibly convenient.....minutes from a couple metro stops, the Seine, and Notre Dame. And, within the immediate neighborhood there are plenty of restaurants, little markets, shops, ATM machines, etc. Because it is so centrally located, it was quite easy to pop back to the flat once or twice a day. I am a single woman traveling solo and felt very safe and secure. The building is secured by a locked main front door, and the flat is on the very top floor, so I felt very safe. David was a wonderful host, providing me with a baguette, croissants, butter, jam, coffee, milk, and sparkling water upon my arrival. He was also very helpful before and during my trip by helping me consider options for travel / sightseeing plans. I highly recommend this flat and won't hesitate to stay there again the next time I am in Paris. Thank you, David! 05 January 2015 - 22:47:38

If your desire is to experience Paris and especially the Latin Quarter, you can not go wrong here. The accomodation is very well postioned and walking distance to all the Quarter has to offer. The metro too is only 5 minuts away. We loved the apartment and it provided all we needed to have a wonderful stay. David looked after us very well and provided information on where to eat that was in every case, a great success, from a simple meal to a dinner to remember. We have no hesitation in recommending this as a great Paris experience, and we will certainly be back. 20 January 2015 - 23:07:25

I originally stayed in this flat in Sept 2013, and was very happy that it was available for a return trip to Paris in early December 2014. As with the first visit, Monsieur David is a remarkable host. His communication is excellent and prompt, and his sincere desire to help you enjoy your trip to Paris is evident. The flat itself remains a wonderful choice. It's conveniently located close to multiple Metro stations and the RER station. For being within a 5 minute walk of Notre Dame, you're not in a touristy neighborhood (although that touristy kitsch is close by if that's what you seek). If you enjoy the "local" experience as much as I seek out, I feel you'll be very satisfied. You have plenty of choices within 1/4 - 1/2 mile to make your stay comfortable, from wonderful boulangeries and patisseries (my favorites are ric Kayser for bread and Grard Mulot for pastries); to grocery markets to stock the kitchenette; to fromageries; and street markets. The flat remains well appointed and clean. You'll find it larger than most hotel rooms and far more comfortable. Take advantage of the washer/dryer in the flat to minimize your luggage. Most of all, pour yourself a glass of wine, sit on the balcony, and enjoy the stunning view of the Eiffel Tower at night while you recount your day's activities or plan the next day. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I've enjoyed both mine. 26 January 2015 - 05:50:39

Davids studio was wonderful. He has thought of nearly everything for a stay at his place. The apartment is as described in the listing and turned out to be a perfect place for a special vacation (we stayed 9 days). He provided really helpful directions, convenient access/key pick up, a warm welcome, clear instructions for the studio, general location information, and offered assistance if needed. The studio is convenient to the metro, close to shops and restaurants, and easy walking distance to many places and sights. The studio was a great base location, but also perfectly comfortable for two to stay or eat in a day or more. And, it has a really wonderful view! Additionally, David went above and beyond when he helped us personally after we became ill thank you again David! I definitely recommend the place and look forward to a return visit in the not too distant future. 28 April 2015 - 20:32:29

My husband and I stayed in David's apartment for 3 nights before we went on a riverboat cruise. We could not have asked for anything better. The two balconies both have open views, including the Eiffel Tower. The apartment is very clean with a small kitchen area and a very nice bathroom. The bed was comfortable and everything about the apartment was cozy and made us feel like we were living right with the Parisians (which we were). We met David when we arrived and he gave us many good tips about the area. He also had croissants, french bread, jams, milk, yogurt and juice stocked in the kitchen when we arrived. Very nice. We did a lot of exploring on our own, but we knew that David was nearby for any help that we may have needed. We highly recommend this property for the location, cleanliness, view and the nice feeling of staying in a comfortable place that was a perfect little getaway in the middle of Paris. Thank you, David! 07 October 2015 - 15:44:54

My husband and I had the great pleasure of staying in this beautiful apartment and cannot say enough good things about the studio, and also the owner, David. He greeted us upon our arrival from the airport and made sure that we had everything we needed to get settled in, and even provided a fresh baguette, croissants and butter and jam as well as juice and yogurt. The views from the two balconies was gorgeous, and the bed super comfortable. We had a perfect stay! What's more, David went above and beyond for us when I forgot my diamond earrings after we departed, and he ensured that my earrings made it home safe and sound. Thanks again for everything, David, and we highly recommend your beautiful apartment to anyone wanting a great stay in Paris. 12 October 2015 - 18:36:45

Great location and easy to get anywhere from this location. Views are great and had everything we needed in a compact space. Would recommend this to couples who want to be on the move. David responded immediately to emails and was very helpful. 22 April 2016 - 11:07:35

I surprised my wife with a trip to Paris this past August. I wanted to create a memorable trip by living as a Parisian for a few days in this wonderful city. We've had success with renting properties on VRBO before. After spending 4 days in David's apartment I can tell you this photos, description and reviews do not do it justice. I don't even know where to begin with this review. We arrived at the flat after a redeye from the States. There was croissant and baguette waiting for us. The building is quite nice and the flat itself is very cute. Perfect sized for a couple and maybe 1 additional person. It is immaculate and comes with all of the amenities one could need. The location is a stones throw from St. Michel, Notre Dame, St. Germain de Pres, the Latin Quarter; easy to get to from CDG. You name it! The high floor and central location allow for a wonderful perspective of the city. In the morning we would sit out on the balcony, drink our coffee and enjoy the sunrise. In the evening before bed, we would sit out on the other balcony and enjoy a night cap while watching the Eiffel tower light up. Thank you David for making our trip to Paris such a success. We will return! 16 October 2015 - 02:22:31
