  1. This place is well located and has all the amenities a couple may need. This our second time in this neighborhood and we love it, it is close to everything when visiting romantic Paris. The owner provided a lot of information about the apartment and about Paris which was really appreciated. This is highly recommended for couples who can walk up the stairs. The bathroom is small, as most European old apartments, but it has all the basics. We really enjoyed it. 17 January 2013 - 03:51:35

My wife and I enjoyed an eight night stay at this lovely and very well located apartment. The photographs give a good impression of what awaits the visitor. The kitchen is especially well-equipped and everything was easy to use. While the bathroom is a bit on the small side, the plumbing works well and there is lots of hot water and water pressure (not always something one can take for granted). The owner is a joy to work with and makes every effort to make one feel at home-all questions are answered promptly. The property was clean and well taken care of. A very complete "user's manual" to the apartment is provided that answers almost every possible question. It is very quiet and no street noise penetrates to the courtyard on which this apartment looks. Metro and taxi stands are very close and the access to markets and all living amenities was ideal. The climb to this third apartment is not at all problematic once the suitcases have been delivered. All was very civilized and pleasant. We are fans. 26 April 2013 - 20:18:45

We were family of 4 with teens on our first trip to Paris. This apartment is as bright and lovely as the pictures appear, clean and well-maintained. Very quiet with a charming courtyard. Though the bathroom is small, we found it comparable to other historic buildings we stayed in on our trip. All the amenities were as described and we had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The queen bed was wonderfully comfortable. The owner provided excellent details about the neighborhood, directions to the apartment, and so much other info that was helpful for our stay. The metro is easily accessible, but do plan to still walk quiet a bit for transfers and getting to sights near Notre Dame. Walk to Effiel Tower, Champs du Mars are easy. We loved the Rue Cler market and shopped there each day for our snacks and breakfast. We would highly recommend the Paris en Scene dinner cruise on Sundays. The food was excellent and the views wonderful. We would not hesitate to stay here again. 13 June 2013 - 22:01:13

I can't say enough about Beatrice's apartment!!! What a great find! I came on Spring Break with two teenager girls on their first trip to Paris. The location is amazing - so close to everything and easily accessible by foot, metro, or taxi. The apartment itself is wonderfully appointed, roomy, and comfortable. We shopped at the Carrefour just down the street, and were able to make breakfast and dinner in the kitchen, which had everything we needed and more. There is also a little wine shop just down the road that was lovely and we made a stop there for a celebratory bottle of champagne. Beatrice was sooooo wonderful to work with, and made the entire process of booking and paying for the apartment simple. We will definitely be back a second time! 01 July 2013 - 14:30:44

Our time in Paris was wonderful. The apartment itself truly was located in a good area. The outdoor market, groceries, wine, meals, shopping items, and places to visit, were all within easy walking distance, or with transit right at our corner. Indeed, we felt at home in the apartment from the first moment. It was cozy and warm, comfortable sleeping, beautiful sunlight (when it decided to come out), nicely appointed, and a great little kitchen for breakfast, afternoon tea, and an occasional meal on the days we didnt visit one of the perfect restaurants. We want to thank you for being our very first VRBO experience and for representing your apartment in true and accurate form, as well as providing written information that we referred to many times. There is something special about entering a courtyard from the street, then arriving at the apartment across the courtyard, as if you are immediately stepping into a separate world that you can call your own in Paris! Thank you again, Beatrice, for initiating us to Paris, and it was a pleasure to meet you too. Our four days there, I must admit, ought to be the minimum for seeing such special things of which there are a great many. 02 July 2013 - 14:03:47

Very nice eight night stay at this Paris apartment. Most folks visiting Paris want to be close to major attractions, yet have a quiet neighborhood to come back to. My wife and found just that during our recent visit. Les Invalides, Rodin Museum, Eiffel Tower, Seine River and Orsay Museum all within easy walking distance. There are also some very good restaurants nearby and our favorite was La Mere Michele, which is just two blocks away on Rue Surcouf. The apartment itself was just what we expected. Roomy with a nice view of the inner courtyard. Kitchen provides a nice option if you want to eat in for a night or two. Bathroom is on the small side, but shower provided good water pressure, hot water. Stairs are some what tricky carrying a large suitcase but you only have to deal with that checking in and out. Having the bedroom separated from the main room was especially nice if someone wants to go to bed while the other watches TV, reads, etc., in living room. You are also on the top floor so no one is above you. Owner is very professional, courteous and will answer any questions you have. All in all we had a very nice stay at this location. 07 July 2013 - 15:07:51

This lovely apartment was our "home away from home" for a week. The photos and description of it are accurate. It was immaculate and stylish with a very well equipped kitchen. We took advantage of the open markets just around the block and stocked up on cheese, bread, wine, etc. We loved that we could access the metro in minutes, stroll down the street for a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower at night, or stop at one of the many restaurants nearby for dinner. Beatrice, who was both kind and professional, was always prompt in responding to emails. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property. 08 December 2013 - 04:12:01

Our family of three (couple + 12 yr old son) stayed in this charming apartment for five nights in early October 2013 and we couldn't be more pleased with the accommodations. It comes with nice amenities that will make your stay comfortable, e.g. portable air conditioner, microwave, toaster, etc. The sofa bed where our son slept was also very comfortable!! (We want this sofa bed!). The owner, Beatrice, was a pleasure to deal with. She was very helpful and responsive. The apartment itself is in a very nice neighborhood with Carrefour City, boulangeries, a pharmacy and reasonably-priced restaurants within walking distance. Adding to the convenience is a clothes washer in the kitchen and across the street is a laundromat where we did our drying. The La Tour Mahbourg metro station is a 2-minute walk away and the Invalides is just a few more steps beyond that. The famous Rue Cler, which is a must-go for its street market and lively cafes, is about a 5-minute walk. Paris is an easy city to fall in love with and staying in this apartment definitely helped make our vacation more pleasant and memorable. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend this apartment. In fact, we already have! 28 February 2014 - 23:05:54
  9. I absolutely loved staying at this apartment. The location was fabulous. The apartment was adorable and quite comfortable. It was an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower, the metro and all the shops and restaurants in the Rue Cler area. Beatrice was so nice to work with and gave us a lot of suggestions of things to do in the area. This is on the top floor, so if you can't climb stairs easily that is something to consider, but if you have no problem navigating the stairs, I highly recommend this place. I LOVED IT!! 03 June 2014 - 15:59:41

This apartment exceeded our expectations in every way! Perfect location if you're interested in the Eiffel Tower neighborhood, which is less touristy (i.e. quiet!). Little shops and restaurants along all the nearby sidestreets, and the metro station is 2 minutes away...VERY convenient! The apartment is quite spacious and we didn't feel cramped at all (though the bathroom was is a bit snug). The bed is wonderful, and the kitchen has all the amenities you'll need including a hot water jug, microwave/convection oven and kitchenware. The financial transaction with the owner was smooth from start to finish. She provided very detailed information about the apartment, how to use all the appliances, directions, etc. I would most definitely stay here again! 20 June 2014 - 03:01:37

We had a wonderful time in this charming apartment on the top floor off a courtyard in the 7th arrondissement. The triple doors to the courtyard provided absolute quiet and as well as security so that we heard no traffic and could leave windows open day and night. The apartment itself was lovely--all white with accents, heavenly bed, complete kitchen. The neighborhood was perfect--close to the metro, to Rue Le Cler market, shops (July sales!!), Rodin Musee and walking distance to Tour Eiffel and all the special shops on rue de Bac and the other streets around there. We walked to Notre Dame and everywhere else on the Rive Gauche and loved that aspect. We ate at the tiny Au Pied de Fouet on Rue de Babylon and had a delightful time with classic French cooking. We would love to come back. Thank you so much for all the information you wrote in your welcome package, Beatrice. We are saving it for another time because we didn't have time to check out all your great suggestions! Thank you so very much. Gillian and David 24 July 2014 - 01:45:23

This was the the perfect place to stay for our family of 4(2-teens/2-adults). The apartment was beautiful, CLEAN and well equipped to make you feel like you truly lived in Paris. Being on the top floor, looking out into the courtyard was wonderful. It was so quiet at all hours we wondered if we were the only ones in the building! As others have said, the bed was amazingly comfortable! The fold out couch was not like a standard fold out and slept my two teenagers just fine. The portable a/c was nice to cool down the sleeping and living areas. We cooked dinner a couple times and ate breakfast every day in the apartment. It was nice being able to do this as it saves a lot of money. The bathroom was tiny but my experience has been, most are this way. It was challenging for me being 6'1" to use the shower/bathroom but it's not going to prevent me from renting this apartment in the future. One quirky thing in the kitchen was the freezer locks for like 5-minutes after you use it (by design?). So, if you need to get something in or out of there make sure you do it all in one shot or else you wait. Interesting 'feature'. The location couldn't be better for accessing most points of interest by foot. If you walk out the front doors, turn right and go to the end of the block you get this incredible view if the Eiffel Tower. At night when it's lit up, it's absolutely beautiful. There are amazing bakeries around the corner, Starbucks is about 2-blocks away, grocery, Ru Cler...it's all right there. In all, this apartment was ideal for our vacation. The narrow winding stairs up to the apartment are not for the unfit, especially if you are toting large suitcases but once you walked into the apartment, it felt like home. The owner, Beatrice, was very easy to work with and extremely helpful in answering all our questions. My wife and I would love to meet her in person someday as she made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend this apartment and would love to stay here again in the future. Thanks Beatrice! Your apartment helped create wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. 21 August 2014 - 15:21:12

We celebrated our 30th anniversary by spending 8 nights in this wonderful apartment located in the heart of the city. We found it to be very comfortable and inviting and looked forward to coming "home" at the end of each day of touring the city (mostly) on foot. The apartment was very clean, bright, airy (especially with the large windows thrown wide open), and it was quiet. Oh, and the queen-size bed is extremely comfortable...so much so, that we are now in search of a similar one back here in the U.S. We really could not have wished for more in our accommodations and the location was simply perfect. As many have noted, access to major sightseeing locations is excellent. You can walk out the front door and: within 5-10 minutes arrive at some excellent (and not so expensive) restaurants, in about 15 minutes (depending on your pace) arrive at the Eiffel Tower, or walk 25-30 minutes and arrive at the Louvre or Notre Dame. The Champs-lyses is also about 25 minutes if you head towards the Place de la Concorde. We found the Metro system very easy to navigate after a couple of rides which extended our range across this very large city and allowed us to easily get to Montmartre and Sacre Coeur and to the main train station for a day trip out to Normandy: Metro (10 minutes) --> Train (2 hours) --> rental car in Caen (1 hour) --> Omaha Beach. This city is *so* walkable...whether you have a destination in mind, or just want to stroll along the Seine, you will not be at a loss for places to see on foot...and if you do get tired, sit down at a cafe and enjoy a glass of wine and take in the city, and people passing by, from chair height...a very nice perspective! Thank you Beatrice for being so easy to work with and for providing a wonderful home-away-from-home. We will happily recommend your apartment to any friends considering a trip to Paris and hope to get back there ourselves. 16 October 2014 - 20:48:22

it was hard to find a place that was reasonably priced in Paris for a couple. This apartment is in a good location and the apartment is all that is represented on the site. We enjoyed waking up and walking down the street to the various boulangeries for fresh baking. 23 October 2014 - 15:53:51

The location was extremely convenient allowing us to walk or take transit to the Champs lyses Christmas markets and the Eiffel Tower Christmas markets. As well you can easily walk to the Ferraro Rocher skating at the Grand Palais. Rue Cler has great wine stores, food, boulangeries, and everything including ready to go meals. Easy shopping. The bedroom is roomy with lots of room for your suitcases and shopping. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, towels and cooking gear. The bathroom is normal for Europe but tiny for North America. It works just as well though. Just be organized and keep supplies elsewhere. Great linens with nice fluffy towels, soft sheets and wonderful pillows. The stairs are a challenge for non fit people to carry luggage up but it's doable and very normal for Europe. Loved staying here. The apartment heats up quickly to take off the winter chill. 28 December 2014 - 17:12:37

We spent 6 nights and the apartment was just as described. Great security with key codes that change regularly and great access to the apartment on arrival with key lock box. Everything was exactly as described and impeccably clean. Instructions left by Beatrice were extremely detailed and informative. Location was fantastic with easy walking to many of the attractions. Very near Rue Cler with many restaurant, grocery store, boulangerie, wine store options. Fantastic! La Tour-Maubourg Metro station is steps away. Beatrice was great to work with and everything went exactly according to plan. 03 August 2015 - 13:07:59

My sisters and I found Beatrice's apartment to be everything that has been described in previous reviews and more. From the quiet, secure and private courtyard entrance to the clean, well appointed furnishings, we felt part of a real Paris neighborhood. All the information Beatrice provided for us, and welcoming bottle of wine, made us feel we were being treated to Paris by a friend. The location is perfect for shopping, dining, sightseeing and the metro within a quick walk. Hauling the luggage up the stairs was an adventure, but since we only had to do it once, it was not a problem. The apartment always provided a comfortable homecoming after our full, busy days walking, shopping and sightseeing. Five nights is not nearly enough time in Paris, but our "Paris Apartment" made our experience one we'll never forget. 17 June 2016 - 22:47:22

The minuscule bathroom was so small that my 6' , 195 lb American husband was never comfortable in the tiny shower. Internet, phone and TV system was a bit complicated but the landlord was very helpful. Lots of great shops and restaurants close by and centrally located. 12 September 2017 - 01:29:00

This place was amazing! Beatrices hospitality was greatly appreciated and noticed. She gave us a bottle of Champagne for New Years Holiday gift and it was so sweet after a long day of traveling. If you need anything, shell help you. The apartment was incredibly easy to get to and had the best location. We didnt get lost or struggle getting into the apartment at all. The little restaurants and shops along the street leading to the Eiffel Tower were amazing and reliable for cappuccinos and dinner. The actual apartment itself was bigger then I expected, had everything we needed for cooking, and was perfect to connect to WIFI. You do have to climb a few flights of stairs to get to the entrance, but its worth it! I hope to be able to stay there again someday. 05 January 2018 - 18:21:00
