There can be no better place to stay when visiting Amsterdam. Located on one of the more beautiful canals, it is a short walk to many of the local attractions. The unit itself offers all the modern conviences as well as a beautiful view of the canal and surrounding area. Your host and hostess are ready to make your stay a memorable one. My wife and I were here for 5 days and truly experienced Much of what the city has to offer. We most certainly stay here again if we return to the city. 11 August 2016 - 14:19:41

Cido was a wonderful host welcoming us with open arms when we arrived in Amsterdam. The room were well decorated and had everything we needed for our family of four. The location was amazing in that we were able to walk everywhere we chose to visit. 26 August 2016 - 02:58:29

The apartment was spotlessly clean, cozy and very comfortable. View is great, zero noise and there are many good dining options nearby (from casual to fine). Rob and Chido (and kitties) were a pleasure to get to know and most helpful with directions etc. There is a great market that pops up right across the canal on the weekend - lovely baked goods, fresh fruit etc, etc. I can't imagine a better neighborhood to stay in; I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go. 30 August 2016 - 14:00:20

This is the best of all worlds while visiting Amsterdam. Warm friendly hosts - charming clean and comfortable apartment - overlooking the canals by day - quiet bedroom in the rear by night. Spacious modern kitchen and bath. Located across from the market in a working neighborhood - walk to all sights of Amsterdam - then come back to home sweet home! 01 September 2016 - 12:06:56

We came to Amsterdam the weekend of the Pride parade, and my wife and I had a wonderful time. The hosts were generous with their time, welcomed us to laugh and socialize with them together for the parade, and went out of their way to help us discover fun around the neighbourhood and city. It was exactly as advertised: efficient, clean, and within walking distance and biking of everything we wanted to see and do. Rob and Cido get our 5 star thumbs up from Canada! 02 September 2016 - 17:01:44

We stayed here at the end of January, as a "stop-over vacation" on our way to complete the adoption of our daughter. My husband is of Dutch descent, and really wanted to experience neighborhood culture while still being able to tour some family landmarks. While the owners were away, they left the place in the apt care of Gabriela, who bent over backwards to make our too-short stay incredibly memorable. The hospitality shown and the experiences provided by Gabriela (as well as her friend Irene) multiplied the perfect location and atmosphere of this property. We cannot recommend this property highly enough! 16 September 2016 - 19:14:12

We stayed here for a long weekend in June. It was myself, my husband and our 17 year old niece. The apartment is perfect and Cido and Rob were outstanding hosts. While making arrangements, Cido was very helpful. She even helped me with train tickets were were purchasing for our second stop after Amsterda. The apartment is PERFECT. The front/main room overlooks the canal. We loved sitting in that room and just looking and listening to the activity below. The kitchen was well equipped, and the bathroom was spacious and had little nice things (shampoo, soap, lotion, etc). The bedroom wasn't large, but had a comfortable king size bed and great storage space. We used the storage room in the building for our luggage on our departure day. The apartment is just down the street form the Anne Frank House and a great central location. Cido provided great tips on restaurants, grocery stores, attractions, and transportation. It was a great stay and we would book the apartment again! 24 September 2016 - 16:16:51
  8. We spent a week in the lovely apartment located on the second floor. It was definitely everything as advertised and more! It had a lovely living room overlooking the canal, a fully equipped kitchen and a nice-sized bathroom (especially given European standards)! It's located in the heart of city center and within walking distance to most sites, including the train station which enabled us to make day trips to other cities in The Netherlands easily! The hosts (Cido and Rob) were simply wonderful with great suggestions on things to do, places to eat, etc. We would definitely stay here again! 05 October 2016 - 19:54:08
  9. We spent 4 nights in this charming apartment in an old canal house. Centrally located in the city centre so that we were able to walk from the cruise terminal on arrival and to the train station when we left. Each night we enjoyed a drink looking out on to the canal watching the activities there. It is comfortable and well equipped with a great Saturday market , coffee shop and supermarket immediately across the canal. Each day we were able to walk to all the sights . Suggest booking for the visit to Anne Franks house before arriving as it is heavily booked. Cido the hostess was very friendly and helpful. We were delighted with this accommodation. 06 October 2016 - 07:29:04

We loved this apartment. The location is fantastic and the view of the canal is lovely. The apartment itself is delightful and did not disappoint in any way. The dcor and bed linens were charming and everything was very comfortable. This was our first visit to Amsterdam and if we're lucky enough to return someday, we'd definitely try to return to this apartment. Cido, the owner, was in Vietnam during our visit, but she arranged for a neighbor to let us in so our check-in went smoothly. Cido also arranged for our early morning taxi to the airport even though she was travelling out of the country. We really appreciated her personal attention. 08 November 2016 - 18:22:07

We had a lovely stay here at the beginning of October. Our host Cido was delightful and very helpful in meeting us and settling us in. She gave us lots of good information on the surrounding neighborhood and helped us celebrate my wifes birthday in a special and memorable way. Thank you Cido! The apartment is perfect for a couple traveling to Amsterdam. Its in a lovely neighborhood near the Jordaan, with views of Prinzengracht canal and the Noorderkerk (north church). On Saturday there is a very nice open market just across the canal which we enjoyed very much. There are many nice cafes, restaurants, and markets right in the area. We felt at home right away and settled into living local easily. The apartment is a short walk from the CentraalStation, which is an easy train ride from Schipol Airport. The transfer from plane to the apartment is less than an hour, and very easy. The apartment is close to many convenient tram stops which quickly and easily get you to all the other sites in Amsterdam. Use your chipped debit/credit card to purchase a one hour pass at the stop, then tap it on the reader as you enter and exit the tram. We rode to Museumplein one day and Rembrandtplein another. Walking back to the apartment from there was a great way for us to explore the city. There is much to explore and enjoy in Amsterdam! Its a beautiful and vibrant city. The apartment is clean, quiet, comfortably furnished and fully equipped with everything you could need to make your stay enjoyable. We were on the third floor, which is walk up only, but not a problem for us. We could have stayed much longer than we did! We hope to return! Definitely 5 stars. Recommended. 12 November 2016 - 14:05:08

We stayed 2 weeks in the lovely apartment which overlooks the Prinzengracht canal and we loved every minute. The location is perfect for seeing the entire city and for becoming part of a local neighbourhood. Sitting at the window, morning or evening, and watching the many boats go by was constant delight. Our host, Cido, was terrific: warm and extremely helpful, and she took the time at the beginning of our visit to orient us to local and city wide points of interest and good places to eat ( always important!). The apartment itself is well laid out, well- appointed and there is lots of storage. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends. 14 November 2016 - 21:09:13

We spend about 5 days and really enjoyed everything about the apartment. We had a few rainy days and enjoyed shopping at the farmer's market and eating in, and on other days enjoyed the wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood. Could not have been more happy with our choice. 22 November 2016 - 01:58:04

This apartment is a jewel. Nicely appointed, wonderful light from the windows facing the canal, fabulous location, great Saturday market directly across, can walk almost everywhere. And the best jewel of all is the manager, Chido, who provides guests with inside information of the best places to walk, eat, and explore in this lovely city. We can't wait to return. 07 December 2016 - 19:00:56

There isn't much I can add to these reviews except to say that this apartment is just about perfect. We loved every minute of our stay, and would certainly chose to stay there again. The location is perfect, in the ideal neighborhood and also so easy to walk to anywhere in the city and to walk to the central train station to go outside the city. Very quiet at night. Many neighborhood restaurants that were wonderful. The apartment was extremely comfortable and very much up to date. 07 April 2017 - 23:25:00

We had a wonderful time at Cido & Rob's. The apartment is beautiful and in the perfect location in the Jordaan. We had the chance to take a wonderful boat ride through the canals on their boat and loved seeing Amsterdam through the eyes of true locals. Plus, we were within walking distance of all the sites, cafes, and restaurants. We had an unforgettable stay and hope to return in the future! Thanks again for a perfect trip! 19 October 2017 - 17:46:00

This was a great spot for my sister, friend and I! Perfect location - very easy to find and close to everything. Gorgeous views and Cido and Rob were very kind and accommodating. Will be staying there again if I come back to Amsterdam! 27 November 2017 - 14:30:00

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The only disappointment was that we wish we could have stayed longer! The apartment is lovely, very clean and well appointed with everything you need. The location is amazing. We loved the view of the canal out the huge front windows, exploring the bars, restaurants and outdoor market and being so close to major attractions (walking distance to almost all), yet feeling like you were still in a local quiet neighborhood. Rob and Cido were great hosts and we were so fortunate to take a private canal tour on Robs boat. That was definitely a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed the sites, learned a lot about the culture and history of Amsterdam and liked hanging out with Rob for a few hours. He even stopped at a playground so the toddler in our group could play. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Amsterdam. Note: the apartment is very close to the Anne Frank House - strongly recommend you buy your tickets online in advance so you dont waste hours in line when you could be enjoying this beautiful city 15 October 2017 - 14:47:00

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment with our teenagers. It was the perfect size apartment, and the location was perfect. The Jordaan area is a perfect base for exploring Amsterdam and we ended up walking everywhere. We also had apple pie from across the street everyday of our stay, and enjoyed the market that popped up on Saturday. Will definitely book again. Can't wait to come back again to explore in the spring/summer. 15 January 2018 - 16:28:00

First visit to Amsterdam and we were extremely happy with our choice of where to stay. The neighborhood is great, lots of cafes & shops. We walked to all of the sights, museums, churches, & even the train station. We were on the 3rd floor so understand that means about 45-50 steps. Be sure you are up to that! The apartment is comfy, well-equipped and the owner was extremely gracious. Absolutely no complaints. 18 January 2018 - 20:01:00
