Thank you Karen for allowing us your apartment to host some of our team and their families during our campaign! Karen has a wonderful fully furnished apartment and has done a great job making it feel very homely and welcoming. Karen is also very friendly, accommodating and helpful! Everyone that has stayed in the apartment from Artemis has enjoyed their stay here! 16 September 2013 - 20:00:43

Apartment was very clean and well equiped. It is not ideal for an older person with steps at the entrance and a shower that is a little clumsy to use. The bed is on the firm side. 09 December 2016 - 18:58:00

Karen's cottage is so nice! Perfect size for me and my husband as we celebrated our 20th Anniversary! Karen checked in twice to make sure all was well! Great location as well! We will be back! 29 July 2017 - 05:53:00
  4. I gave this a 5 star review because of the location, the cleanliness of the unit, and the quick response from Karen for a last minute reservation. Karen also provided a Keurig with lots of coffees and other drinks. She put bagels, cream cheese and orange juice in the refrig. You can see from the pictures that this is an older house which is typical for Alameda. I do have a warning, if this applies to you. I am a 76 year old woman and was staying there alone. I did find the front steps steep and hard for me to get my small suitcase up and down. I was also concerned with the clawfoot tub being the shower as it was difficult for me to get in and out. 16 July 2017 - 18:39:00

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a week in January and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner is very nice and accomodating. We were greeted with flowers, a wonderful bowl of lemons from the owners lemon tree and a bottle of wine. She had a notebook of information on good restaurants, etc., in Alameda, along with some great vintage pictures of the city. The apartment is very charming with beautiful Victorian moldings, high ceilings and a vintage stove, which was in great condition. We had an ample amount of towels, dishes and cookware. We loved having our coffee in the big, sunny kitchen. And, the apartment was very clean, which is most important to us. The apartment is in a great location on a very nice street. We were able to walk to shops and bakeries on Webster Street, and its an easy drive to downtown Alameda. We would definitely rent this apartment again. 13 February 2013 - 16:33:51

I stayed in the Queen Ann apt for the summer of 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apt was clean and very livable. It was quiet. The landlord was pleasant and helpful. And the apartment was a short walk to Webster St which is lined with restaurants, shops and bars. I would highly recommend the apt. 02 September 2013 - 22:24:02

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Cottage. I was most impressed with how immaculately clean, secure and well equipped the Cottage was. Loved the extra personal touches, especially the beauty products in the bathroom, the selection of books and local reading material. Thank you Karen, I have no hesitation recommending your lovely place. 05 October 2013 - 20:43:24

The apartment is charming, roomy, and warm. It is filled with period details such as a claw foot tub, mouldings, stained glass, and a fabulous vintage range. Karen, the owner, has it adorably decorated to reflect its location in the bay area. She has thought of everything to make one's stay comfortable....premium select toiletries, towels and sheets, kitchenware, WIFI, cable TV, a selection of coffees and tea, and even hot chocolate for those chilly Bay Area nights. Upon arrival I was greeted with a vase of fresh flowers picked from her garden and a basket of lemons she harvested from her tree earlier that morning. The house where the apartment is located is surrounded by the most beautiful English garden, a perfect place to enjoy one's morning coffee. She provided a notebook with recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. The apartment is a short walk from the Bay, the Webster Street area, and the BART shuttle. Karen was very easy to work with, communicated clearly and promptly. I would stay again there in a heartbeat and plan on doing just that! 10 September 2014 - 17:44:47

I came to Alameda to visit my elderly father. I was seeking a place to stay where I could just be in his company...a hotel room was not an option. Neptune beach cottage was perfect for my needs. It is a cozy and comfortable apartment decorated with impeccable taste in a 1940-ish style. It is an easy walk to the Webster Street cafe and a short drive to beaches and the SF ferry. Karen, the hostess, is gracious. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise. 16 March 2016 - 14:41:49
