  1. Travelled to Paris with two girlfriends for an amazing New Years vacation. From the moment we walked into this apartment, we were thrilled with it. The layout, the dcor, the location, but most importantly the landlady, Anne, confirmed to us we had made the perfect choice. The neighborhood is quiet and the apartment is close to the Metro, Le Bon Marche and numerous bistros and shops. There is a bistro in the building, Bistro Landais, which we tried on our final night in Paris and we were sorry we had not tried it sooner. It was wonderful to get up in the morning and brew coffee, eat croissants and plan out our day. Then return in the afternoon for a snack, or a nap, or some wine, or all three. I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment, and cannot wait to return to Paris and stay here again. 10 January 2012 - 19:39:27

Anne the proprietor of this flat leaves nothing to be desired. She thinks of every detail and warmly welcomes you. This is her business and she knows the value of good customer service. Although the apartement was not our first stop in Paris, Anne offered and arranged an airport shuttle. The flat was perfect for our family of 4 and near metro, shopping and good restaurants. This apartment is not located in the very noisy heart of St. Germain but located in a quite, upscale neighborhood. The shop keepers in this neighborhood are welcoming to tourist/visitors and go out of their way to assist if needed. The apartment was exceptionally clean, beautifully appointed and a great value. It was well equipted with all kitchen and bath needs. The kitchen was also stocked with a complimentary bottle of wine, coffee, expresso, tea and water. The ensuite washer and dryer are a bonus and so convenient. Anne leaves not stone unturned and is available to you for any additional needs you may have during yoru stay. If you are American and worried about the language barrier, Anne is fluent in English. She is a true professional and we would return tomorrow if we could. This is our second successful rental from VRBO. In both instances, we relied upon the reviews to make our choice. 04 April 2012 - 19:32:45

My husband and I stayed with his parents for a week at Ann's apartment. The apartment was comfortable, clean, well-located, and perfect for 4 adults. The apartment is actually bigger than it would seem from the photos. Best of all were the owners. Ann's son, Cyril, greeted us upon arrival and showed us around. Ann herself checked us out and ordered a van for us. They love the apartment and it shows. The washer and dryer were handy. There is a wonderful cafe steps from the apartment that was perfect for a light dinner and drinks. I would definitely return and recommend the apartment to others. 22 April 2012 - 18:35:01

I spent a month in this lovely apartment and loved every minute! The furnishings are exactly as shown, in excellent and spotless condition - no surprises of any kind. Beds and chairs are comfortable, all appliances work, and the owner is very responsive, professional, and gracious. As home for a month or longer, it is lovely for two people - or even one, if you want to accommodate guests. For a sightseeing vacation, it's great for four. This is a place you want to come back to again and again. It's centrally located to wonderful shops, cafes, places to buy whatever you need each day, and also the Grand Epicerie, Luxembourg Garden, and Rue de Rennes (and FNAC to buy performance tickets, books, and more). Only a few minutes walk from Saint Placide and Vanneau metro stops as well as bus stops on Montparnasse and Rue de Sevres. Truly, I couldn't have asked for more! 11 August 2012 - 20:24:57

Our family (two grandparents, our daughter and son-in-law, and our 22 month old granddaughter) had a great week in Paris in August. The apartment was simply wonderful in all respects, perfectly equipped and clean, and every bit as lovely as the pictures on the VRBO website indicated. We were greeted warmly and provided some extras for our granddaughter -- a crib and high chair. And arriving, as we did, in the middle of a heat-wave, the air conditioning was a godsend. Being on a quite street was also a blessing. And we even had the capacity (with the fold out couch) to accommodate our son and his girlfriend for a few days during the week. A bit tight for 3 couples, but it worked fine. Given that each member of our family is a serious "foodie" -- having an apartment that is in such close proximity to La Grand Epicerie of Bon March, countless wonderful boulangerie, several great fruit and vegetable shops, and Quatrehomme Fromagerie, not to mention bistros and restaurants, made our stay in the apartment even more delightful. Even in August -- when much of Paris is shut down. It must be even more fun at other seasons. And, although we have been to Paris many times, we never noticed that there is a whole world of small parks well equipped for 2 year olds -- ranging from Les Jardins du Luxembourg to numerous small parks -- scattered throughout the 6th and 7th. Many of which are close to the apartment. Great fun. We highly recommend this apartment. 30 September 2012 - 15:26:11

We just returned from a week's stay at this wonderful flat! It is a beautifull 2 bedroom flat - and everything about it is well maintained - it is clear the owners take a lot of pride in taking care of this property. From the moment we contacted Anne, the owner, to the check-out process, they took care of us like we were old friends. They helped us arrange airport transportation, met us at the apartment to walk us through everything in the flat and had wine waiting for us! They had so many little "extras", like a Nespresso machine, coffee, plenty of laundry detergent, soaps, and even wonderful information (maps, recommendations) on places to visit nearby. The location is also fantastic - probably a 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station - and just around the corner there is everything you could ask for - from great bakeries, to cafes, a macaroon store, and a grocery store. All of this in a safe, central location, in a wonderfully appointed apartment. There is no doubt that we will be back! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!! 14 August 2013 - 14:43:01

My husband and I and our two teenage daughters stayed here for 5 nights in July and truly loved it! The apartment is very clean and well maintained. Plenty of space for a family of 4. The A/C was lovely to come home to after a long hot day of sight seeing. The location is perfect, close to the Metro, Bon Marche, pastry shops and bistros. Anne and her family are very helpful and extremely easy to deal with. We would certainly stay here again! 17 September 2013 - 14:50:36

Not much we can add to the already superlative reviews, except it is even better than you could imagine. It is in a perfect location, quiet yet lively with everything you could want within a few blocks. Anne made our arrival, stay and departure stress free making arrangements for anything you might need. She is absolutely delightful and has appointed the apartment with all the comforts of home. We fell in love with the restaurant owners just downstairs at Bistro Landais; a wonderful couple who made us feel like we were family. The food was absolutely wonderful too. We cried when we left. This was our third trip to Paris and any future trips will be spent at this apartment!!!!! 19 September 2013 - 14:09:49

Our group of three women found this flat to be just as described in other reviews. We benefitted from Anne's assistance with airport transfers and general information. We especially enjoyed the notes on local restaurants, shopping and sight seeing. A short walk from the Vaneau metro stop, the flat is convenient to all of Paris. We did a great deal of walking, even though we were there in Dec-Jan. The area is quiet, safe, and loaded with shopping options: food, clothing, home furnishings, art, curios, etc. There are numerous good bistros and a nice selection of restaurants. We had no difficulties or disappointments and would highly recommend this property. 20 January 2014 - 17:51:02

My husband and I, our teenage daughter and her teenage friend stayed here for 7 nights in March. This apartment and our experience in Paris was so very wonderful in many ways. Anne and her lovely son were perfect to deal with. She arranged transportation for us to and from the airport and met us at the apartment when we arrived. She took time with us to go over the appliances in the apartment. We really loved the Nespresso machine as it was a lovely way to start out our day. We were able to get to any part of the city we wanted by either walking or using the Metro. We did choose to use a cab one night for a special dinner at Le Restaurant (which we highly recommend!!). The Bistrot Landais at the street level of the apartment building was a great place to eat. We also enjoyed the restaurant just around the corner (sorry, forgot the name) on the way to the Metro. We also appreciated the transportation service she choose for us and used them to book a day trip to the region of Normandy. I would also highly recommend using this service as well. The apartment is very clean and well maintained. There was plenty of space for 4 people. The location is perfect, just a block and a half or so from the Metro, Bon Marche, pastry shops and bistros. We would certainly stay here again! 31 March 2014 - 22:44:57

Wonderful accomodations for our 10 day vacation with two (2) couples! Conveniently located within walking distance to several metro stations, grocery stores, bistros & cafes. The apartment was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The owner, Anne, was very helpful in recommending an airport shuttle, provided us with a detailed orientation to the apartment amenities upon arrival and was responsive to our questions during our stay. Staying in this apartment vs a hotel gave us the opportunity to experience a true Paris lifestyle during our vacation. Highly recommended! 02 October 2014 - 23:55:11

From the initiation of the booking, to our departure, there was not a single thing off about this rental. Anne is lovely and very professional and this apartment is solely dedicated to renting, therefore no mysterious locked closets full of personal items. For two women traveling together, this apartment was a luxury - large enough, well supplied, quiet, and in a terrific location, but still cheaper than 2 rooms for 8 nights at a decent hotel. There are numerous eating and food shopping options close-by so you can save on breakfasts and dinners and go splurge on lunch. I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment without a single reservation, you can not go wrong staying here. 16 October 2014 - 14:57:08

After several trips to Paris and staying in several different hotels, we decided to try an apt. It was absolutely perfect for 2 couples. The location can't be beat, close to Metro Stations, La Bon Marche ( for shopping), and bistros for wonderful Parisian food & wine! The owner, Anne, is a lovely lady, helping us with arrangements, meeting us at the apt, and thoroughly going over all aspects of the apt, and all the amenities! It was so nice to come "home" every night and enjoy a glass of wine while reviewing all the photos we had taken. So much nicer than being in a small hotel room! This is a perfect place to stay, especially for 2 couples. I am looking forward to our next visit to Paris, and staying again in this wonderful apt! No more hotel rooms for us!! 08 November 2014 - 20:47:06

As a traveler with high standards in my living accommodations, I recommend this apartment with all 5 stars. Anne's flat is lovely, clean, well-decorated, cozy, and provides every amenity you need to feel at home while you're away from home. This is the place to stay if you want a quiet neighborhood, away from the madness of the tourists near the river, but you still want to be convenient to all that Paris has to offer. With 3 metro stops close by (the closest about a block away), you can get anywhere in Paris you want to be quickly and efficiently. Plus, the neighborhood itself has much to offer in the form of shops, patisseries, markets, cafes, and restaurants. We even had a couple of meals at home in Anne's very well-equipped kitchen. The windows were my favorite, almost floor to ceiling, that opened to allow the cool, fresh air in. One afternoon while resting up for a late-night show, we lay in bed with the windows open and were serenaded by a nearby saxophone player. And I thought this was the most perfect French experience I could have ever wished for! In addition to the apartment itself being wonderful, Anne was an absolute pleasure to work with. She responds to all questions promptly and with very helpful information. She helped us book a tour and arrange transportation to and from the airport with a very accommodating and professional company, she gave us advice about things to do, places to eat, tipping in a foreign country, and the one day we had trouble with the coffee maker, she had it fixed right away. Meeting Anne and talking to her was such a joy, almost like visiting your friend in Paris. I could go on about what a terrific experience we had! I felt welcome and at home in Anne's flat, and for a brief time, I felt like I was living the life of a true Parisienne (which is exactly what I was hoping for). 03 June 2015 - 20:08:23

My husband (who is French) and I have rented through VRBO several times. Mostly with great success, but especially with this rental directly with the owner. We rented the apartment from the US for one week. Our two granddaughters (9 and 12), my husband and myself were all delighted in different ways by the experience. For me, the kitchen was well equipped. For my husband, good space for multiple purposes. For the girls their own bedroom and WiFi. In addition, my family and I all echo the reviews of the previous guests. The apartment is in a superb location. Everything we needed was close. After busy days seeing the city we could retreat to the apartment in a quiet neighborhood with all the comforts of home. The owner, Anne, is charming, effcient, sensitive to travelers, easy and a pleasure to deal with on line and in person. Waking each morning to the bright sunlight through the French doors after a comfortable night's sleep on excellent beds, we could plan our day - using the number of resources on the bookshelf and with the reliable WiFi. The layout is perfect for two couples or a family. Our granddaugthers first visit to Paris was greatly enhanced by Anne and her home. We will return again. This space is great for a week and even better for longer stay. Highly recommend this apartment. 18 June 2015 - 16:32:36

Anne, many thanks for the use of your great apartment, it was really enjoyable staying there. The location is definetely a 10 out of 10, and being able to walk to so many of the Paris attractions. We really enjoyed living in this area, we felt very safe, and the local bakeries and tea rooms nearby were fantastic, also Le Bon Marche, we used them most days and felt just like locals. Your apartment is very comfortable, and had all that we needed, it was a real comfort each day to return to the apartment after spending the day walking around the Saint Germain area, the big bath was very relaxing. We are very grateful for your wonderful greeting on our arrival after a long flight, all that good information about the apartment and local area, and getting us settled in, and also sending us off with a fond farewell, that was all much appreciated, and added to our great experience of visiting Paris. Thanks also for arranging our transfers to and from your apartment, they were both very professional. Hoping to visit again in the future. 26 June 2015 - 05:24:33

We just finished a wonderful stay at this apartment--two teenage girls and two adults. The apartment set up and location were great. There are many places close by to eat (sit down and take away) and as others have written, Le Bon Marche is a real treat. Plenty of easy access to the Metro. Anne handled everything like a pro, from the initial deposit to the final check out. We really appreciated the extras--Anne arranged a shuttle to and from the airport (great price--you should take advantage of that), bottle of wine in the apartment, coffee and water. The apartment was plenty large enough for the four of us. Thanks for a great week--hope we can get back soon! 29 July 2015 - 10:08:07

Our family (3 adults and one teenager) stayed in this lovely apartment for 5 nights at Christmas. The apartment is perfectly appointed with all you need. Anne met us at the apartment when we arrived and went over how to use everything. Anne was delightful; we can't say enough nice things about her. She arranged our transportation upon arrival and departure which was such a help. This was our second city on a three city European vacation so we loved having a washer and dryer and staying in an apartment to really experience Parisian life. The bedrooms are small but adequate with comfortable beds. The bedroom our sons stayed in was connected to a bathroom that had a sink, tub/shower and the washer and dryer. The toilet was separate, near the entrance to the apartment, which we found to be a plus. The other bathroom was a full bath with a small shower. The water pressure in the apartment is great. Each bedroom has a small closet with shelving and hanging space. The apartment has WiFi. We cooked in on Christmas Eve and found the kitchen had all we needed to make a nice meal. There is a table for 4 off the kitchen and the living area had comfortable seating for all of us. The apartment was perfect. The location is great. There are several metro stops nearby which makes all of Paris very accessible from the location of this apartment. If you are a foodie and like to shop for food, the area has lots to offer. There is a boulangerie, formagerie, grocery, outdoor market and La Grande Epicerie (at Le Bon Marche), all within a few blocks. We got up in the morning and walked down the street for fresh croissants and a baguette, it was amazing! There are also many restaurants within walking distance and Anne provides a notebook with recommendations of places to eat. (There is a bistro next to the apartment building but we did not eat there so I cannot comment on the food) The apartment is also well stocked with travel books for Paris and the surrounding area. Right in front of the apartment building are city bikes for rent. We rented a few bikes near Notre Dame and were able to ride them right to our door. The location was quiet and we always felt safe not only in the area around the apartment but wherever we went in Paris. Anne, thank you for the use of your wonderful apartment, staying there made for a memorable Christmas. We hope to return someday. 02 January 2016 - 23:13:33

We just returned from a great family trip that included Paris. Anne's apartment was truly the icing on the cake! First, Anne is a wonderful host (along with her cousin Laure). They made sure our visit was flawless. The apartment itself was perfect for our family of 4. It was well-maintained and had all of the little extras you expect in a vacation rental. They even left a bottle of wine for us. Keep in mind, this is a classic Parisian building that is fairly old. The apartment is nicely updated, but the floors are quite squeaky (particularly for those late-night visits to the bathroom). Something to consider if you're a light sleeper. Location is great. It's a typical Parisian neighborhood, but not full of tourists or hotels. Yet it was just a short walk or metro journey to any of the city's tourist destinations. The weather was mild, but we did enjoy the air conditioning on two of the nights. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone wanting a relaxed, local experience, but with all the modern comforts of home. 18 August 2016 - 17:06:08

Great location! Lots of excellent restaurants and markets within walking distance. Anne was so wonderful to work with both before our arrival and during our stay. She assisted us with booking a private shuttle to and from the airport which was so helpful. We ate breakfast each day at the flat to save money. The kitchen was fully stocked. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet at night. We highly recommend this flat! Merci for a wonderful trip! 04 January 2018 - 23:17:00
