  1. Fairly secluded home on Lake Keowee. Area is very pretty and extremely quiet. Only a few homes in the neighborhood by the lake. I rented the place so we could attend a Clemson football game. Roughly a 30 minute drive to Clemson. We really enjoyed the home and would return for another football weekend. 11 November 2010 - 14:43:09

My wife, two children, and I enjoyed our three nights at yur home. The community center and pool, not yet open for season. We rented a boat and enjoyed Keowee. Gets a bit pricey for April. However, we did enjoy it, and left home as we would like someone to leave ours. 28 April 2011 - 15:25:33

Our family spent 3 lovely days at this beautiful lake house. We were in town for our son's graduation from Clemson. The house was a perfect alternative to staying in multiple rooms in a hotel. We enjoyed being able to cookout at the house and also having plenty of room to spread out and relax. We used the canoe to explore the lake. The house is about 35 minutes from the University. The house is well equipped with anything you may need. I would highly recommend staying here for next year's graduation!! 18 May 2011 - 23:25:16

Several friends and I had a great weekend at this lake house. Perfect access to the lake, plenty of space, clean, comfortable. Exactly as advertised, and the owner was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend. 31 May 2011 - 19:32:56

Would highly recommend this house, community and location. House is layed out very nice with spacious rooms, beautiful kitchen, nice screen porch and outdoor fire pit. We used the canoe, fished off the dock, swam in the pool, used the hot tub, played tennis and basketball all within the community. We did Zip lining (30 minutes away), go karts, batting cages and putt putt (20 minutes away). It is about 15 minutes away from the Reserves so for us it was prefect. 20 July 2011 - 00:37:33

Stayed the week of July 4th. House is beautiful. Bedrooms were big. There were 8 of us total and never ran each other over in the house. We fished took our boat and docked it there. Canoed and kayaked and swam at the community pool. So much to do. The adults and kids were never bored. We would definately go back. The Lake had fireworks and so did all the neighbors. We had so much fun. We're all ready to go back. Good times great bar-b-q's. Best part was its so scenic there. A great vacation! 22 August 2011 - 02:02:42

As a new retiree and Clemson Alum, we wanted to escape to Clemson and mountain area for Clemson activites, mountain exploring and just plain relaxation. We accomplished all three by staying in this bueatiful house strategically located equal distance from Clemson and Cashiers.. The house offerred everything we needed and was spacious for our needs. A little fishing off the dock( actually caught a few), walking throughout the neighborhood and sitting on the deck with a good book added to our enjoyment of the home comforts. We would recommend this listing to anyone wanting to get away on bueatiful Lake Keowee. 21 October 2011 - 20:17:21
  8. Perfect time of year to see leaf colors at their peek. House was very comfortable, large open floor plan makes for relaxing time for all. Owner was very helpful and neighborhood was very quiet. Wise to do grocery shopping before you get there. 06 November 2011 - 21:09:05

Beautiful property and beautiful time to visit with the leaves just turning into their full color. Lake was incredible and having access to the kayak and canoe was great! Dominic was wonderful to deal with and the home was very clean. I would highly recommend this rental! 07 December 2011 - 17:51:03

We rented this house for Spring Break and brought our ski boat with us. The boat house is nicely situated for families with boats. The house itself is very cozy and comfortable. It would be great to have wifi there. 20 March 2012 - 14:02:25

My wife and I and our 2 dogs had a lot of fun at the house and in the lake. We walked to the clubhouse and the dogs had easy access to the lake using the boat launch area. We arrived late....the nearest large grocery store is 16-20 miles away, so anyone should stock up before arriving. We rented a pontoon boat from Stephanie (her info is provided at the house) and loved cruising the lake with it. Try the boiled cajun peanuts! 22 April 2012 - 15:49:30

This was our family & friends second trip to Lake Keowee. The north end of the lake and more specifically this location is our preferred spot to stay. The home is tucked back in a quite cove that protects the swimming as well as the docking of our boat. The view of the mountain-scapes just outside of the cove to the north is unbelievable. We spent a lot of time skiing and tubing with the kids and if you have the nerve, there are two beautiful spots to try jumping from cliffs into the lake. If you bring a boat, the preferred ramp is down the lake at Falls Creek Landing. It is busy on weekends but easy to launch from. Keowee Falls gets taken over during the weekends so if you are there with a boat try to hit this spot during the week days. It is worth the look but not worth the headache of trying to anchor or beach a boat in a limited space with several other folks that are usually pretty well "sauced". Also on the boating side of discussion, there are Wild Life Officer's that patrol the lake. Make sure you have all the required boating safety gear on board. If they stop you, they will check everything. The adults took over the screened in porch for our morning coffee and reading. The dining table and kitchen served us well when friends that live on the south end of the lake came up for dinner and we needed space for 10. The bedrooms are all laid out very well and provide what you need for a comfortable vacation. Bring all your supplies with you, there are limited places to go grocery shopping as we learned during our first trip to the lake last year. It is a beautiful place and we hope to return for future vacations. 04 June 2012 - 16:47:48

Our family stayed here for a week in late June this year. The owner was very easy to work with and always friendly. The area of Keowee lake was absolutely beautiful. The house is situated on the northern part of the lake, which was great because there was less boat traffic than further south. We rented boats several of the days and took the kids tubing and water skiing - they also spent alot of time swimming. The water was great. The house was very much like the description - right on the water, nicely kept and furnished. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 (with teenagers). It was a great getaway vacation. Do larger grocery shopping before you get there, but there is a nice grocery with alot of items about 10 minutes from the house (which just recently opened). We would definately go back again. 03 July 2012 - 00:11:18

This home was perfect for my family. We had 5 adults and two children and were incredibly comfortable. Loved the large dining room table and the kitchen had everything we needed. The screened in porch was perfect for breakfasts and enjoying the incredible thunderstorms. The beds were very comfortable and all three rooms were spacious. The posting said the upstairs bedroom has a pullout couch, which we didn't find, but luckily we didn't need it. The pool table downstairs is not level and there were no working pool sticks so we couldn't enjoy a game of pool. The kayak's rudder was broken but it is still usable and very fun. We enjoyed the canoe as well. My husband had to do some maintenance on the canoe to make it safe for kids as there was some missing wood and screws were sticking out, but it works great. The lake was warm and provided hours of entertainment. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and people we saw were friendly. 15 August 2012 - 04:46:23

My family of young adult children and grandchildren met here for a long, late summer weekend. The house is wonderful- well-designed and beautifully decorated. The location is beautiful, in the foothills with beautiful mountain views and a great lakefront. We enjoyed the canoe, fishing, and the pool and tennis courts at the nice community center just a short walk away. The kitchen is lovely and well-equipped with a great dining space for large group meals. We enjoyed side trips for hiking at nearby state parks and golf at a wonderful course nearby. There is a small market a mile away, but real grocery shopping is quite a distance away. We took most all of our groceries from home. The owner was congenial and very easy to work with. 01 September 2012 - 19:29:27

Very nicely appointed lake house with cozy fireplace. Three levels allowed our family to have plenty of room. With the pool table downstairs, several deck levels, and even a canoe to paddle the lake with the kids stayed entertained. Especially nice is the Master BR with sitting room, direct access to deck and a beautiful en suite with whirlpool tub and glass shower. Other 2 BRs are spacious and comfortable. We had local family over for Christmas Eve and they were duly impressed as well. Family room and large dining table afforded us lots of room. Natural area with wildlife galore (e.g., saw a woodpecker family up close from the upstairs deck) and beautiful lake views. Our 2 dogs loved being allowed to come along this time too. Didn't catch any fish but certainly caught plenty of fun! We've stayed in several VRBO homes and this is the one we'll most likely return to time and again. Highly recommend! 14 January 2013 - 01:06:13

This is just a beautiful home. Our family stayed a week and everything was just as expected. Home was well equipped and clean. Very spacious, rooms are large. The screened porch with the ceiling fan was a hit for late evenings. Owner was easy to work with. Would highly recommend this home. 12 July 2015 - 15:00:23

We enjoyed our overall stay at this fun lake home. The layout of the home was perfect for our family. We would have liked to use the community hot tub but it was closed for the season along with the pool. I would suggest that the owner does a deep clean between guests. I had to clean the shelves in the refrigerator before we could use it as well as remove hair from the shower. We had a difficult time using the DVD/VCR because of the abundance of wires and remotes that were available. We have rented several homes on VRBO in a variety of states and this is the first time that I had to make the beds as the linen was sitting on top of the bed. I was glad that I arrived prior to the rest of my family so I could get the house ready. We loved having our meals on the porch overlooking the lake as well as the hiking and close proximity to hiking. Also, we had to drive home with our trash because we couldn't find the dumpster that was on site. I think a welcome to the house book would be helpful to renters in the future. 11 April 2016 - 06:19:49

Coming from Florida, we were hoping for some really cold weather and snow. We got the cold weather (9 degrees on final morning) and we took a 1 hour drive to some higher elevations. What a gorgeous area. 02 January 2018 - 15:30:00

This was a charming little house. But it needs some maintenance. Namely, the mildew smell. The walk out level where the pool table is located is basically unusable because of the strong mildew/mold smell. The smell permeates to the main living area, but not as strong. One especially notices it when coming in from the fresh mountain air. The other issue that people may have, that wasn't that important to me, is the problem with wifi reception. There was none during my stay. I was initially told that the party staying there the previous week used up all the data??????? When I contacted the owner, he told me he would add 5 Gigs???? After that, it still didn't work and I was instructed to contact the media network myself and if need be I would have to be around if they needed to come over and straighten out the problem. I was there to enjoy myself in the outdoors, not wait for a telecommunications company to fix the problem. Good thing I was not a day trader. The online brochure indicates there is wifi. I was in the area to check out properties for sale, and it would have been nice to review them on line. As I stated in the opening sentence , this could be a very charming property if some maintenance was performed. Many people are allergic to molds. Fortunate that I wasn't. 25 August 2017 - 14:48:00
