About listing

This beautiful heart of Central London contemporary apartment is offered in excellent condition. It has a kingsize bed. You'll have a great stay. It is fully furnished with everything ready to provide an enjoyable and comfortable home from home in London. There is free wifi access. We offer a top location in trendy Fitzrovia, in the heart of the West End, a super central spot with a villagey feel and Georgian architecture. The area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud. Today it is a popular and lively neighbourhood with a residential and business mix. The numerous media companies based in the area feed into a vibrant buzz. There is a good range of shops and a huge choice of delicious restaurants and bars. Tourist London is easily accessible on foot or by tube. Several supermarkets are close by (including a good Sainsburys, Tescos, Marks and Spencers Food Hall and Waitrose isn’t far). The flat is on an upper level (with lift) and is set out over one floor. It benefits from good natural light. The property is set at the rear of the building (so quiet for sleeping) and overlooks the local landmark, the impressive BT Tower. The light and bright bedroom (4.1m x 2.9m) has a neutral decor. There is a comfortable kingsize bed, double fitted mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. There are full-length white curtains and separate blackout blinds. The living room (3.9m x 2.9m) has large double glazed windows. The room is painted white and has woodstrip flooring. There is a large comfortable sofa that opens to a large double sofabed, flatscreen TV/DVD with freeview, a selection of DVDs and a dining table and chairs. The living room and kitchen are open plan. The kitchen (2.4m x 2.6m) has plenty of cupboard space and a full range of integrated appliances including microwave, electric oven, hob, coffee machine, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The separate fridge and freezer both have good storage space. Kitchen utensils are provided. There is an iron and an ironing board. The recently fitted bathroom is fully tiled and has a WC, full-sized bath tub with power shower, handbasin, and heated towel rail. This is great opportunity to enjoy a smart, attractive property in an wonderful and safe area. The apartment is in a secure, recently renovated, quiet block with 43 flats in Fitzrovia, W1, bordering Fitzroy Square. All Central London attractions can be reached easily by foot or by public transport. The British Museum, British Library, Soho, Covent Garden, Oxford Street and Regent’s Park etc are a walk away. Warren Street, Euston Square, Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road tubes are close by. The City is a 20 minute door-to-door tube journey. Bookings are for a minimum of 3 nights. The rent is fully inclusive of unlimited wifi and all bills (apart from outgoing telephone). * * INSTANT BOOKINGS!!! VERY IMPORTANT!! PLEASE NOTE!! DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU HAVE CHECKED!! 01 October 2013 - 07:53:40

Two of us stayed in this lovely flat for 9 days and enjoyed it very much. It's very clean, airy, and bright, exactly as shown in the photos. The building is secure and the neighbors are quiet. The owners were quite welcoming and very helpful in anticipating our needs. From providing advance information about the neighborhood to stocking the flat with everything we needed to feel comfortable, they treated us very well indeed. The flat's location is wonderful for exploring London: it's central enough to be near many restaurants, shops, and tube stops but tucked into a quiet neighborhood away from busy streets. We were 100% pleased with our stay, would look at this property first when planning a future trip, and would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a London stay. Our recommendations for local attractions include the British Museum, the ubiquitous Pret a Manger for inexpensive meals on the go, Cafe' Concerto on Tottenham Court Rd. for breakfast and afternoon cake, Tas (a Turkish restaurant near the British Museum), Navarro's on Charlotte St. for tapas, and Gower Street for a quiet stroll. We used the Warren St., Tottenham Court Road, and Goodge Street tubes (all within a few minutes' walk) as starting points for our adventures. A little further away from "home" (i.e, the flat), we enjoyed Kensington Park, Bea's of Bloomsbury (Holborn tube) for tea, the V&A (and its very good cafe'), Kew Gardens, and an evensong service at St. Paul's. 22 October 2013 - 00:40:14

This apartment is in a fantastic location. It's close to many tube lines and within walking distance to Oxford Circus, Regents Park and many other London shops and attractions. One of my biggest issues with staying in Central London is noise. Whether it be from traffic or internal. This apartment is truly a little gem. It's bright, the bedroom is at the back of the building and I didn't hear a sound from apartments above or below. The actual street it is on is also a very quiet street. It is a one bedroom apt with a sofabed in the living room. Half way through my stay, my 19 year old daugher joined me and slept on the sofa bed. She was very comfortable and it was perfect how the living room and bedroom could be cordoned off. The apartment was modern, had free wifi, was adequately heated, had a dishwasher, washing machine etc and was in a security building. So far as dealing with the owner/property manager was concerned, from the start they answered every question prior to my arrival and gave me perfect instructions on how to enter the building on my arrival which was very early in the morning. They were readily available for any enquiry during my stay and I had no problem at all when it came to them refunding me the bond deposit. I am very much looking forward to my next visit to London and hope that this apartment is available. 09 January 2014 - 01:05:50

This apartment was just what our family of three needed during 5 days in London. It's fully furnished, well equipped, very clean, and exceptionally quiet for a good night's sleep. We had easy access to three Underground lines - nicely situated. Both Liz and Jack were exceptionally helpful before, during, and even after our visit. When we return to London, we will contact them first in hopes of renting this apartment again! 06 June 2014 - 01:13:50

We enjoyed the flat and the location. Near the Warren St underground. Very convenient. Local food shopping and many restaurants in the area. We liked the neighborhood feeling of Fitzrovia. Not frantic with crowds like some other trendy London areas. 15 August 2014 - 17:17:41

We really enjoyed the apartment. We stayed 5 days and we were feeling at home. The apartment was clean, it had everything we needed and the location was perfect. Close to subways, train station, restaurant, markets, pharmacies. Also, the owner was very pleasant to work with. She was available whenever I needed and made the process very simple. 04 March 2015 - 20:09:55

The good parts: location is very convenient (we walked a few minutes to Madame Tussaud's!!!), convenience stores and eateries nearby, internet provided, quite near the Tube (underground rail) and buses aplenty, nice neighborhood, reservation-friendly, kind owner. The not so nice: quiet as advertised but two nights out of five, we were woken up in the early hours of the morning by lots of banging and clanging/men talking as the trash/recyclables were collected. This went on for about 20 minutes, before and long after the loud truck was gone. The bedroom window overlooks the area where the bins are stored for two buildings (which includes the one we were in). I must clarify there were no problems about odor. Due to the numerous activities available, we usually slept around midnight-1 am (eg. West End shows and dinner afterwards). While we were there, the collections were done at 3-4 am Friday and 5-6 am Monday. It would have been avoided if we were informed beforehand so we could have closed the windows to hopefully reduce the noise. It was warm during the nights hence the open windows. We tried not to use the fans that were provided thinking the cooler night air was more than enough. One disturbed sleep we can tolerate but two made us too grumpy and unhappy. Next here is not a complaint, mind you: we like to watch TV to unwind and to view how differently other countries show their programming and commercials. Unfortunately, the remote control didn't work and there was no other way to turn the telly on. We decided not to call it in because it was not really an inconvenience since we were out most of the time. Just a shout out because we know it'll be taken cared of once informed. 02 July 2015 - 23:19:46

We really enjoyed staying in this flat. It was comfortable and spacious. The flat was also very quiet. All household maintenance items were available however I think there should also be a small dustpan and brush. It was great that there were directions for everything including how to use the shower! There were no basic supply's in the flat as I have experienced in other VRBO accommodation. It would have been nice if there had been a bottle of water and a small container of fresh milk in the fridge. Having said that the shops are just around the corner. This was a good place to stay for a couple. While not in the romantic getaway "box" it is perfect for a small holiday in London. We could have accommodated another on the fold out couch however this was unnecessary. The location was very good. Handy to 3 tube stations, Goodge and Charlotte streets for pubs and dining options. Very easy to walk or take public transport to shops and tourist destinatations such as parks museums etc. Communication with the owners was prompt and always helpful. This was a good place to stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it. 07 July 2015 - 02:12:48

We stayed at the flat for the past week (two adults and one teenager) and had a great experience. The flat was conveniently located and within walking distance of 3-4 tube stops. Regents Park was about 1/4 mile away. Great place for a run or walk. Tottenham Court Road was 2 blocks away, and a short walk south put you at Oxford Rd for great shopping. For 3 of us the space was very adequate. Better than a hotel. The neighborhood was safe. All appliances worked great. Would be tight for more than 3 adults, but fine for our family. Only small complaint was that bed was a bit hard, but that is also dependent on personal tastes. It was a full-size bed. We will definitely consider staying here again on future trips. Right in the heart of two local universities. If you are visiting, recommend getting a London Pass with Oyster Card prior to your trip. 17 August 2015 - 15:49:10

The flat was well-equipped with everything I needed in kitchen, toilet, bathroom, bedroom and the living room. The location is fantastic for going to see exhibitions and shows as well as shoppoing and eating out. I used to live in various locations across London when I was a student for many years and I can assure you that the flat is so conveniently located so that you don't even need to take a cab home at night after late night outs. Meanwhile, Liz was very quick to respond to my questions and enquiries, which was also assuring. I'd stay again. Thank you! 14 September 2015 - 12:48:30

It was a combination conference attendance and visit to family that meant proximity to a number of tube lines, supermarkets, and the city were important. This Fitzrovia flat gave us those items plus quiet comfort in a secure building. Clean and tidy on arrival. Good kitchen facilities - we cooked some meals for the extended family - with the utility of a washer/dryer. Small maintenance matters that we raised were promptly fixed Owner communicatoon was excellent from booking to our departure. Might be warm on some summer days but I noted fans in cupboard. We didn't need heating, although present, in a beautiful autumn. We would be pleased to stay here again. 21 September 2015 - 13:56:55

Very clean and well tended to. Very quiet. Only improvement suggestion is that sofa is unbelievably uncomfortable to sit on as it is a day bed and very low to floor. Flat is sparsely furnished . Could use better info in flat as to TV channels for news programs. Stay went well. 07 October 2015 - 07:32:10

This flat is located in a great neighborhood. Close to pubs, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, the Tube, etc. Easy traveling to/from Heathrow and very close to St. Pancras Station (Eurostar). The owner has put together a handy booklet filled with information on nearby restaurants and shops along with a lot of helpful information on the area. I have stayed in flats owned by this flat's owner many times over the last few years, close to 9 times by now. Liz is extremely helpful and very easy to work with. Emails/phone calls are answered quickly. The flat is equipped with everything you need including a washer/dryer and iron/ironing board. Laundromats are extremely expensive in London so having your own machine is wonderful. The flat is on the back side of the building so street noise was not a problem for me. Much of central London is within walking distance, Soho, Covent Garden, Regent Street. The flat is between two Tube stops making everything easily accessible. I will definitely stay here again. 06 November 2015 - 01:03:15

Everything was as advertised! The apartment was comfortable and spotless. We had 3 adults traveling together and the pull-out couch was very comfortable. Close to the tube, groceries stores, restaurants and pubs. Couldn't ask for anything more. 01 November 2016 - 13:20:35

An excellent flat for what we needed. Great location in a cute neighborhood. Easy to take the Tube from nearby Warren street, a few stops away from Victoria line and central locations in London; Covent Garden, Charing Cross, Buckingham Palace, etc. 02 December 2016 - 17:51:49

I recently stayed in this apartment with my husband and 8 month old son for about a week. While overall this was a nice accommodation, it did have some shortcomings that I think mentioning would be helpful to future renters. When we arrived, the weather was warm (about 85F outside each day) and would cool considerably at night. Unfortunately, the apartment itself was very hot with little circulation. The windows only cracked at the bottom and the two oscillating fans in the apartment didn't help much. Our baby monitor was measuring the apartment at 82F at night when it was between 65-70F outside. This made sleeping pretty uncomfortable. We were also a bit frustrated that the bed had only a fitted sheet and a light comforter with a duvet on it. Sleeping under a comforter was too uncomfortable, so we actually went out and bought a flat sheet that would be cooler. Aside from the temperature and bedding issues, we had a good stay. This was our first trip with our baby, and I think a little more space would have been more comfortable for us, but that's no fault of the apartment itself, just a tip if you are considering staying here with a small child. The kitchen was well equipped with a small fridge, small freezer, a small washer/dryer (all within the same appliance), and a stove/oven that I couldn't figure out how to work when I tried to boil some water so I gave up. We didn't use much in the cabinets, but there was a good amount of dishes and utensils. The bed itself was comfortable. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable for our taste. Everything was clean. The floors were actually still a bit wet when we arrived, so I know they had been mopped before we arrived. It was helpful that the building has a lift to the 6th floor where this unit is located since we had a stroller. Be advised that there are a couple of steps in the lobby of the building between the main door and the lift. This wasn't an issue for us, but it's worth mentioning. The building was very quiet on a quiet street and was a good central location for our home base with multiple tube stops within walking distance. There are also lots of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores within easy walking distance. Communication with Liz was easy and she was helpful with preparing for the trip, recommendations, and was easy to reach while we were there. Overall, we had a nice stay, but I hope these tips help others decide if this is the best choice for them. 08 September 2017 - 12:01:00

My daughter and I loved the location of this apartment. There were several tube stops within easy walking distance. Many attractions were within walking distance too, along with great theatre and restaurants. The apartment had everything we needed, and there were loads of grocery stores within steps of the apartment. The host was very responsive and nice. We would definitely stay there again. 30 May 2017 - 19:41:00
