Please don't ask for special payment accommodations. Everything has to be done through this platform. This AD is for a private room only not the entire apartment. Shared apartment. Private room. This is a small apartment with no living room. Mostly for people who are traveling light. This room is mostly for travelers who are traveling LIGHT and who are more interested in exploring the city than hanging out at home. I live in a small renovated "two-winged" apartment in Harlem-Sugar Hill. The apartment is very small. The apartment has two bedrooms which are at total opposite from each other. This small apartment also has a new kitchen and a clean large bathroom. The apartment has high ceiling, wooden floors, and windows. The apartment does not get direct sunlight so during the summer it maintains cool. Since the apartment is surrounded by other buildings, there is total privacy from the outside world. The lights in the apartment are HUE lights and can be controlled by the Phillips Hue App from your smart phone once downloaded. This will give you the opportunity to change the light scene in the apartment. Nearby trains: 1 train on 157 street and Broadway street (four blocks away); C train on 155 street. A train on 145 street (10 mins walk) Just a 35 min train ride from mid town Manhattan. Please let me know if you have any questions. The apartment building was built in 1910 which is, quite frankly, old. The apartment is on the fourth floor walk up (NO ELEVATOR). The building is surrounded by various coffee shops, the National Hispanic Museum, restaurants, plant shops, gift shops, deli's, and bars. The neighborhood is vibrant with Latino and Black culture. The neighborhood is gentrified so you see a mixture of residents with different backgrounds. If you are truly looking for that authentic Harlem NYC experience, you will definitely find it here. It's located in one of the most historic places in the city where famous scholars such as, W.E.B. DuBois, Walter White, and Thurgood Marchall use to live.

I spent 2 weeks at Felix's place in September 2017. This is a nice, clean, simple room in an apartment on the 4th floor of a secure apartment block - perfect for those who need a place to crash if they are working in the city for a short period of time or are sightseeing. The flat is located in an ideal location for the Subway (lines 1 and C are within 5 minutes walking can get to Central Manhattan in 30 minutes, Brooklyn 60mins and JFK Airport 90 mins) and in Hamilton Heights: a vibrant, diverse neighbourhood with plenty of great restaurants within a few blocks. All the essentials are here: internet works well, clean towels provided, bathroom is nice (good shower etc.), there's a fan for the hot Summer season in the room, all plugs work fine. Couple of minor things for future guests to bear in mind however: there's limited storage space in the room - just one small bedside table (no place to hang clothes for example), if you want to do laundry you'll have to do organise outside the flat (loads of places on Broadway nearby however) and if you're looking to cook in the flat, there's fairly limited equipment to do so (only a couple of small knives, no chopping board) although there are enough pans, bowls, plates and cutlery - you'll just need to keep it simple. All in all however, a great place to stay if on fairly limited budget and if likely to be sightseeing/working most of the day. 12 October 2017 - 14:54:00

We were there for a couple nights and had a great stay. Perfect location for getting into downtown Manhattan as it is right near the subway. Felix was a great host and we really enjoyed staying there. Thank you so much Felix 04 January 2018 - 22:25:00
