It was a great stay. Perfect appartment and location to explore NYC. Nothing to complain. 20 July 2017 - 01:41:00

This is a great part of Park Slope. Close walks to two subway stops. Fabulous restaurants, groceries, shops and bagel stores on 7th or 6th Aves. The big park is only half a mile away. Very mellow friendly neighborhood. Very friendly owners, on premises. 21 August 2014 - 01:10:44

This apartment totally exceeded my expectations. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photographs. The apartment is quaint and cozy, and definitely clean and comfortable. The apartment is located close to shops, restaurants and markets so there is always somewhere to explore or experience. We had a wonderful stay, with no complaints!! 06 September 2014 - 03:05:36

What a gem! We expected an apartment that was clean, comfortable and appropriate for babysitting our grandson (8). This place was so much more! We truly were warmly welcomed as were our family members. The neighborhood was close to everything we needed, as well as within walking distance to Prospect Park and the zoo--one of our favorite destinations. The people in the neighborhood were friendly as well, and we felt more like fellow neighbors than "visitors". The owners were readily available to answer our questions and offer suggestions when asked. Overall, it was a quiet, comfortable, and relaxing haven--we are already planning our next visit! This is the perfect place for us! 07 September 2014 - 16:26:42

We spent a week in this absolutely lovely apartment in Park Slope. It is in a quiet leafy street only 10 minutes walk from the subway, with easy access into Manhattan. There are plenty of shops and Delis close by as well as cafes, bars a restaurants. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, even before we arrived they replied promptly to any emails that we sent them. We arrived late at night but were greeted with a smile and a quick tour of the property. Lily also suggested local activities which we might enjoy and recommended places for us to eat out. This is a perfect place to go back and relax after a busy day sightseeing. We would definitely recommend this apartment to our family and friends and we would love to come back and stay here again ourselves in the future. 16 September 2014 - 20:34:24

This lovely downstairs apartment on a quiet, tree-lined street was very comfortable for the 2 of us. We didn't try the convertable couch in the living/dining/kitchen area. The fact that the bathroom is through the bedroom might be an issue if more than 2 people were staying in the apartment. The owner is friendly, cheerfully helpful, and has provided everything for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well-equipped except for a microwave. It is an easy walk to either of 2 subway stations. Within a couple of blocks are restaurants, delis, and a variety of stores for anything you may need. The main street a block away in one direction is a bit gritty, but not scary. 30 September 2014 - 21:38:17

We, my wife and I, and, for a couple of days, our adult daughter, stayed for a week while visiting our son, daughter-in-law and 5 month old grandson, who live 3 blocks away. The Garden Apartment is an oasis away from the busy avenues, but close to everything in Park Slope. It is very clean and comfortable, and the owners are on site and are very friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants, shops and bars. We look forward to staying here for our future visits. 21 October 2014 - 17:07:32

We really enjoyed our stay in our "old home town" and the Garden Apt in Park Slope was so lovely, from the way it was decorated to the location. Very warm and cozy place for a long weekend getaway. We needed to stay centrally located to visit family and also to get into Manhattan for some appointments, and the location was perfect. This place is ideal - would recommend and would stay again without question. 05 March 2015 - 19:08:13

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfy, garden apartment. We needed an early check-in, and our hostess graciously accommodated us. We were visiting our daughter and son-in-law, who live in Park Slope, for a long weekend and, although their condo is not within walking distance, we could easily connect to one of the two subways, which are close by, and meet on the platforms. The location is very convenient to restaurants, and in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished, with meticulous renovations. We would most definitely stay here again. 15 August 2015 - 14:04:33

Deborah's apartment in Park Slope totally met our needs. It was on a quiet street, with lovely brownstone buildings, yet close to shops, restaurants, and the subway. The apartment itself was large and nicely laid out. The kitchen was great, and we were able to eat breakfast there every morning. The apartment was extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were great, including the towels. Deborah was friendly and very receptive to our questions before we arrived, and once we were there. All in hall a terrific place! 08 October 2017 - 16:11:00

Garden apartment was in a great location. It was close to subway, laundromat, and many restaurants. Apartment was equipped with everything a family would need away from home. The beds were comfortable and there was a nice backyard. 08 July 2017 - 20:04:00

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was very well equipped, check-in was very easy, and Deborah was always available to answer questions and provide help. The information in the apartment about the area was very helpful. The garden was charming. There were a couple of very hot and humid days during our stay and the air conditioning and fans kept us very comfortable. This rental is a great value, close to lots of restaurants, shops, subway stops, and parks. We will definitely consider staying here again next time we visit Brooklyn. Deborah, thanks for your hospitality! 15 July 2017 - 20:05:00

The Garden Apartment was exactly as it was described and pictured. Deborah was a gracious hostess and there were many special touches that made us feel at home immediately, from a nicely stocked snack basket (that I really tried to avoid but the cinnamon pita chips finally got to me and I crumbled) to the nicely stocked "essentials" basket in the bathroom closet that contained tooth brushes and such, things that are easy to forget or lose along the way on an adventure. The kitchen was well stocked, and everything we needed we found there, and since for a few days we had our adult kids with us, we actually cooked a few times. Deborah also provided a "welcome" book that listed nearby shops, restaurants, groceries and such, and that made getting around the neighborhood much easier. We found her recommendations excellent, from the nearby Keyfoods groceries to a lovely Italian restaurant, Al De La, that was the best meal we had on our trip. There are no laundry facilities on the property, but with help from the "welcome" book we used Deborah's recommended one, just up and around the corner, and that worked really well. The weather was quite cold when we were there, but the unit was cozy but not overheated. When we checked in, Deborah told us to let her know if we needed more heat, but we never did. We were in the unit for 5 days and we enjoyed everyone of them, and we look forward to staying with them again in the future! So to Deborah and Conrad, thank you and Mahalo from the Verdugo's from Honolulu 16 January 2017 - 21:50:00

My husband and I spent a delightful eight days in this apartment in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Ideally situated with an easy walk to the subway, the apartment served as our home away from home and as an oasis from the hustle & bustle of the city! Deborah met us when we arrived, provided help with the unloading of our car, & even helped us with parking. Throughout our stay, Deborah was available to answer questions & was willing to share her insights into restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The apartment was spotless, open & bright. There were special treats waiting for us & milk in the refrigerator to get us started in the morning. Deborah had prepared a binder full of information on nearby stores, restaurants, shopping, parks, etc. In the living room there were shelves of books on NYC/Brooklyn, maps, & brochures. A window air conditioner (we did have to be there during a heat wave!) did a fine job of keeping the rooms cool. For anyone who wants to cook, there were plenty of good pots/pans, dishes/silverware, dishwasher detergent, pot holders/kitchen towels, etc. Large refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave, cupboards filled with basic spices and some boxed foods; My husband was delighted to find everything he needed to prepare his "gourmet" dinners. For those who don"t cook - 7th Avenue is an easy walk with lots of choices. The bedroom has large windows that face the gardens & brick patio. A table and chairs, kindly shared with us, provided the perfect place for an early morning cup of coffee. The quality mattress was firm & the bedding lovely. Ample closet space plus a large chest of drawers gave us plenty of space for clothes & storage of of our suitcases. The bathroom was amazing! Period floor tile, a grand glass walk in shower lined in subway tile....plenty of hot water, plush towels...perfect! We would highly recommend this property to anyone able to handle a short flight of stairs. We found everything as described & photographed - the actual property exceeded our expectations. The five block walk to the subway was not a difficult walk & we were able to explore not only Brooklyn but also Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx, etc. I would recommend if anyone wants to visit Ellis Island that they purchase their tickets on line & several days ahead of time. I did, & on the day of my visit, at 10am, there were no more tickets available for the day & many disappointed folks. Loved our time at this apartment and highly recommend it 19 September 2016 - 20:38:00

Easy checkin. Some overhead foot noise but not bad. No thermostat in apartment so the temperature is up to your host. 26 November 2017 - 16:12:00

We loved our stay in Park Slope. My husband and I are ex- New Yorkers and grew up in Brooklyn. Seeing the wonderful changes that have taken place in our old borough was terrific. Our lovely apartment, the Garden Apartment was perfect! Owner Deborah (aka Lily) was very friendly and helpful. The transportation in and around Brooklyn and NYC was very easy to negotiate. The Subway system is undergoing a major overhaul, so you have to keep tabs on whats running where! We visit NYC every year and are so happy to have discovered this lovely apartment in Park Slope, Brooklyn! 07 December 2017 - 15:03:00

We have stayed here before. This is our first choice when visiting family in the Park Slope area. The apartment was ready when we arrived and was spotless. We have never had a problem with this apartment; however, the owners live above the apartment and you know they are available is a problem should occur or if you have questions about the area. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 20 December 2017 - 01:33:00

This was the perfect apartment for us............very clean, quiet and just the right size! Deborah (Lily) was a delight to work with and was in touch several times during our stay. The bed is very comfortable, and the linens and towels were also very nice. We had many delicious dinners in Park Slope, but our favorite was Giovanni's (within walking distance). The only addition I can think of would be a tea kettle. We hope to be back soon! Thanks Deborah. 31 December 2017 - 14:00:00
