About listing

Fantastic 1 bedroom/1 bathroom (750 sqft) one block from the Marina! Steps from the Palace of Fine Arts, Presidio and many tourist attractions. A short walk (5 blocks) to Chestnut street with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore! Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). A foyer welcomes our guests into the living space which offers a well appointed kitchen, dining table and couch for relaxing, while the spacious bedroom overlooks the beautifully landscaped garden. This is where our friends and family stay when visiting us, so we make sure to have the apartment as clean and comfortable as we can for all guests! (photos are of actual unit)

We were in SF to visit with our first grandchild and needed a place big enough to have family come visit and to be able to babysit our grandson. This lovely apt fit the bill perfectly. Ouiet, spacious and comfortable. Loved being so near the Palace of Fine Arts for evening walks. 06 April 2017 - 14:08:00

Great property- well maintained and nicely appointed. Love the 2 night minimum for quick in and out of SF to see daughter. Close to lots of things to do- walked everywhere. 16 April 2017 - 19:40:00

Lovely little apartment located near Crissy Field. Property was as represented and we especially appreciated the coffee and creamers waiting for us and nice directions with location amenities and sights nearby. We would definitely stay here again. 13 June 2017 - 00:45:00

Amazing location: quiet residential area right by picturesque Palace of Fine Arts, St. Francis Yacht Club and Crissy Field with great beach and views of GG Bridge and Alcatraz. Perfect accommodations for the four of us- my husband and I had a large bedroom and our children (9 & 11) slept in the main room. Best price available for a private apartment that looked just like the pictures on VRBO. Entire place was very clean and comfortable and our host responded to a few texts I sent immediately (even though it was Thanksgiving week!). 22 November 2017 - 15:18:00

The only reason I give this home 4 stars instead of 5 is that we were woken up early every morning by loud footsteps above us. But on the bright side, it forced us to get up early and enjoy the city! This house is in a prime spot, just a few minutes' walk to the Palace of Fine Arts, the Marina (with amazing views) and some nice restaurants. While it's a bit of a hike to downtown, staying by the Marina allowed us to get away from the hustle bustle and relax. The home was very clean, and the little backyard was perfect for working out in the chilly mornings. We would definitely stay here again! 10 November 2017 - 19:01:00

Loved everything about the unit. Very comfortable for us and our toddler son. Location was fantastic. Erin was thoughtful in her amenities - much appreciated. 21 October 2017 - 12:34:00

Background: Avid VRBO renter for 25+ years. Way before Air BnB and the like. I've stayed in places from Germany to Hawaii, San Francisco (prior to this visit) to Chicago, etc. I just love what a person's home has to offer that a hotel doesn't. This visit was for a Mother/Son trip to SF and Yellowstone. My mother and I planned our first Mom/Son vacation together. I'm 50+ for context. We are so so grateful that we saw this listing. It's PERFECT for 2 plus people! Mom slept in the spacious and incredibly comfortable bedroom (mom commented that "I just bought a new bed a year ago and this one is more comfortable." She's also an early riser normally but not here!) and I slept on the comfortable aerobed in the living room. This place is everything: bright, fresh, clean, comfortable, quiet, and in a priceless location. We found free bus service to downtown via the PresidiGo bus service which is only a few blocks away. Sunsets over the Golden Gate are only a block away not to mention the Palace of Fine Arts, great eating (5 blocks away/15 minute walk), and Crissy Field. They have a beautiful relaxing backyard with a grill and sitting area. My first morning was spent there under the overhang of the neighbor's lemon tree drinking coffee, reading my "summer read", and eating a delicious Dynamo Donut that I picked up that morning at their Marina location. The owners are incredibly responsive. That's putting it lightly! I needed something and within minutes it was awaiting outside the door. Separate laundry facilities for the unit, great kitchen (I cook a lot and it was a requirement for a rental), location, location, and location. TRUST ME! My mom and I probably looked at over 50 places in a variety of neighborhoods and none of them met our requirements like this one did. If you're worried about being "far" away from downtown, etc, don't be. We walked to Ft Mason and Fisherman's Wharf the first day. Not saying its minutes away but it's walkable. I rarely give reviews because if a place met my expectations I'd usually have nothing to add to what was previously reviewed. This one didn't meet expectations BUT FAR EXCEEDED THEM!! After a busy touristy day it was great to just collapse in our comfortable space, be able to whip up dinner - with the full kitchen - and relax outside planning our next day. SO STOP LOOKING AND JUST CLICK ON "RESERVE!!" SERIOUSLY DONT WASTE ANYMORE TIME and just plan the rest of your trip. You won't be disappointed! 23 July 2017 - 03:55:00

The apartment is in a safe, quiet area on the ground level floor with secure access and private back yard. It was the perfect location away from the hussle of downtown. If you prefer quiet, I would definitely stay here rather than Union square tourist area hotels. Grocery stores are within walking distance (.5 or .9 miles). It was a great choice for my 7 year old daughter and I. We didn't use public transport as it was just easier to Uber it everywhere. The Palace of Fine Arts is less than a block away as is the waterfront with great views of the Golden Gate. When fog rolls in, you hear the fog horns from the bay (which wasn't overly bothersome) but noticeable for the day and half we heard it. My daughter slept on the blow up bed and was comfortable. The marina area is a little cooler than other parts of the city being so close to the water, we found. The host quickly responded to any messages I sent. I would highly recommend this place. 27 June 2017 - 17:12:00
