We had a great time visiting the Sweet Suite Retreat. The location could not be better. We were a short walk away from shopping(food and otherwise.) the view is incredible from the top of the hill and from the garden. Also, VERY close to local public cheap transit. Everything was clean and well prepared for our visit. The owners were very friendly and we felt very welcome. Already planning our next visit!! 11 March 2013 - 05:20:48

Owners were VERY nice! Place was spotless and welcoming. We did have trouble with no hot water in the shower but that was the only issue. 10 May 2013 - 06:29:26

This is a safe and convenient location with easy access to public transportation. There are views from the top of every hill. The shops and restaurants on 24th st. were just a short walk away. The property is very well maintained. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. 02 July 2013 - 10:42:38

We visited San Francisco to watch AC finals and really enjoyed all the sailing, the city, the apartment and the neighborhood. Everything was as described and we loved the food in the local restaurants. We would definitely recommend it and would like to stay there again. 22 September 2013 - 18:21:09

We were please to find that our stay at the sweet suite retreat didn't disappoint. Though a minor point, light sleepers should be aware that the suite faces the street and that there is some bus traffic, which might be an issue for some when the windows are open. But this is San Francisco after all and we'd certainly stay there again. 22 June 2014 - 17:21:13

We've stayed at Sweet Suite Retreat many times and it's always like coming home. The landlords are personable and responsive, but never intrusive. And the location is in walking distance of many restaurants, shops, cafes, and Bart & Muni. 03 September 2014 - 18:15:48

We recently spent 5 nights at this suite. It worked well for our first visit to SF. The unit is great and has many positive points. It's a good size for a studio, good size kitchen with lots of dishes, etc. The location is great for taking transit, and the price is reasonable for SF. The hosts are friendly. Being on a bus line the bus traffic is very noisy when the windows are open and it was quite warm when we were there so we needed them open. The bedding and towels could use an upgrade, they seemed quite worn out and a refresh would help. The bed had a thick foam on top which we did not find comfortable so for us wasn't the best for sleeping. All in all it was a good stay, however there were a few things that could use improvement which would help the comfort level of the stay. 22 September 2014 - 23:42:15

This was a wonderful place to come take in the city and live fully in the atmosphere that is San Francisco. Public transportation is right outside the door, but what great exercise you get when you climb the hills to this relaxing studio, away from the daily rush of the city. The hosts are most gracious and very helpful with anything you need. Very clean accommodations and they are very professional in the set up of this wonderful studio suite. I will miss coming "home" each day, but I recommend this place to anyone wanting to become just a small part of the city of San Francisco! 10 July 2015 - 20:41:51

This proved to be a great place for us. The location is close to a major Noe Valley shopping area, public transportation, and restaurants. The rental itself is very comfortable for a couple. While small, it offers all you need and the gas wood stove was a nice bonus on chilly mornings. We didn't use many of the other features but there was a little garden area and a game room on the property. If you had limited mobility, this might not be the place for you as the area and the stairs into the rental are pretty steep, but short (less than 10). For us, it offered some great walks, up to Twin Peaks and up and over to Glen Canyon Park. All in all a very cozy and comfortable place to stay. It was a "Sweet, Suite Retreat". 06 January 2014 - 16:49:23

The cute studio apartment was very clean, and the pictures represent it well. However, the bed was very uncomfortable! One side was considerably lower than the other which resulted in an "uphill" experience that was almost impossible to sleep. We tried adding pillows to make a more even bed, but the slope was just too great. Also, the apartment is on a very, very steep hill even by San Francisco standards. Very difficult to walk down. We finally took the car three blocks downhill and reparked every day. We won't stay here again. 13 July 2017 - 15:08:00

The place was tiny, but it did the trick during our couple nights stay. We appreciated the offering of truffles and wine that was waiting for us when we arrived. For folks like us who are accustomed to quiet sleeping quarters, earplugs are pretty much mandatory. The cable cars stop intermittently right in front of the apartment all night long, and the fridge spouts gurgling and bubbling noises constantly. When we tried to nap during the day to compensate for the sleepless night, we were graced with the upstairs neighbors singing, reading out loud, stomping across the wood floor, running up and down stairs, and slamming the outside metal gate. These are clearly things that are out of the apartment owners control, and come with the territory of staying in the city. There was black mold in the bathroom, but otherwise the apartment was clean, and a short Lyft ride from everywhere we needed to go. We didnt end up needing to use the kitchen, but it was nice to have that option if we wanted to cook in. 21 October 2017 - 18:57:00
