We brought our two children along with another couple and their two boys for a pirate adventure week on board this awesome catamaran. The kids had a great time, but the parents were especially pampered - it was such a treat to climb out of the water from a fun-filled morning at the beach, to find Tess the amazing chef had made not only a kid-friendly lunch for 4 kids, but also a gourmet hot lunch for us adults, with wine and dessert too! I truly felt "on vacation" and we all had the time of our lives. Bram the Captain was extremely knowledgable and very safe, I always felt we were in excellent hands. The entire trip was so great, and we didn't want it to end! I would highly recommend this crew and this boat for your dream charter trip. I can't say enough about the wonderful food, either! The cooking on board was better than any restaurant, served with passion and a big smile! 23 February 2016 - 17:11:44

The quick reply I received from Chris following my inquiry about chartering Catmer set the tone. As we planned our trip, Chris was wonderful to work with and always made himself available to answer any questions. It was evident he truly cared about making our experience a wonderful one and it was! Bram is an amazing captain. He is knowledgeable, personable, attentive, fun and eager to please. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. We always felt safe and the itinerary he chose was perfect. We were able to do most everything on our wish list and never felt rushed. If we were scheduled to be off the mooring at 8 am, we were, and would arrive at our next destination in time to beat the crowds and get an ideal mooring. Bram also snuck in a couple of things not on our list that we loved, like Long Bay. Tess is indeed an amazing chef. The meals she fixed were wonderful, she even made our son a pancake cake the morning of his birthday. We were thrilled to learn Catmer will soon be up for charter in the Bahamas and Exumas, we'll definately be repeat customers! 10 March 2016 - 01:10:01

Sunshine, gourmet meals, and sailing through shades of aqua seas - this was a dream vacation come true. Aboard the luxurious catamaran with four private cabins equipped with their own bathrooms we were heartily welcomed by the captain, Bram and chef, Tess. Glass of Prosecco in hand we toasted our immanent adventure on the high seas of the Caribbean around the Virigin Islands. From deserted beaches to island hot spots and the remote island of Anegada, there were so many exciting and different places that we were able to access simply because we were aboard a sailing vessel. Daily, we would awake to the aromas of breakfast and Tess would delight everyone with a sumptuous meal of crepes, eggs to order or a frittata. After a sail and visit to a shimmering, white sandy beach we returned to the boat with the table set beautifully for lunch complete with a Mediterranean salad and wine. After another adventure, be it snorkeling or scuba diving, an epicurean delight awaited us for a candlelit dinner. Destinations and meals onboard were based on our own preferences, which were requested prior to departure and all of our desires were more than met well. Sail away on an amazing vacation in the Virgin Islands and make your own dream a reality! 03 April 2016 - 21:07:22

Me & my husband rented the boat for a romantic getaway. We requested privacy and the crew Bram and Tess were extremely professional. They gave us the right mix of privacy, communication, and helpfulness. We had an extremely detailed itinerary, witch they followed completely. Not only did we experience all the fabulous islands on our list, the crew squeezed in a few extra suggestions. The boat owner Chris was extremely helpful and answered all my crazy questions, in a prompt and timely manner! I would highly recommend this boat and crew. 10 May 2016 - 16:06:43

My husband and I, along with two other couples embarked on CAT MER at the end of April with two other couples for a vacation of a lifetime. We couldn't have even imagined a better trip. The catamaran itself is gorgeous and spacious. We each had our own cabin which had plenty of room to unpack and stow things away. From the moment we got on the boat we felt pampered and well taken care of by Bram and Tess. Bram is an excellent sailor. He is extremely knowledgeable and we knew right away that we were in good hands. Tess is a very talented chef and fed us some of the most delightful meals! I am still dreaming about her pancakes and pesto pasta. Between the crew and all the things the Islands have to offer we had the most wonderful experience. Highly recommend! We can't wait to do it again! 05 June 2016 - 18:06:53

Our family had a great trip with Bram and Tess on CATMER. With this being our first boat trip, we weren't exactly sure what to expect, but Bram and Tess made us feel spoiled from the moment we boarded the vessel. We started in St. Maarten and then sailed to Anguilla, St. Barth's, Tintamarre and then back to St. Martin over the course of a fun week. The crew and boat were first class, never leaving us wanting for anything. Our group included my wife our two teenage sons and myself. The trip was a nice mix of activities while never being rushed to get anything done. We spent lots of time snorkeling with our favorite spots being the Prickly Pears, Little Bay on Anguilla, Colombier on St. Barths and Tintamarre. In addition we spent time on the islands of Anguilla, St. Barths and St. Martin, enjoying the differences with each. Finally, we had a great time on CATMER. The sailing was entertaining and the food was exceptional. From breakfast to lunch to afternoon snack to dinner, it was all very good and quite diverse. I hope we get the chance to go again someday. 15 August 2016 - 17:19:55

My group of four contacted the boat's owner and promptly received a response. He was exceptionally helpful making our sailing trip tailor-made for our interests and expectations. Every question was answered fully so every detail was attended to. Nothing was overlooked! He gave us ideas of different itineraries, things to do and where to eat if we so desired. Our chosen route was from St. Thomas USVI to Virgin Gorda BVI with many stops in-between. Via taxi, we arrived at the Yacht Club and we were instantly greeted by Captain Bram, an absolutely delightful young man who gave us a tour of the catamaran and safety instructions. We were then introduced to Chef Tess who made us feel immediately welcome and offered us whatever we liked after a long day of travelling. They both are very gracious, fun and incredibly attentive. AND, the catamaran was so clean (spotless in fact) and so very comfortable! My group loved every moment of our adventure! What made this already exciting vacation even better was the crew. Chef Tess' gastronomical offerings were much better than the restaurants we visited. Her food was, simply put, incredibly delicious and artfully presented! (Yes, we are "foodies")! The idyllic scenery of the islands was breathtaking but Tess' creations were what we looked forward to. How a person can cook up such tasty delights in a small and sometimes swaying kitchen was beyond us! Not only was she the chef but also waitress, dishwasher, house keeper (beds made daily) and crew. Everything she did was to perfection! Captain Bram is such a knowledgeable man with years of sailing experience. His knowledge isn't just restricted to sailing and the Virgin Islands. Absolutely not. He is a world traveller who is well educated in many subjects and is a quiet conversationalist when engaged. The amazing thing is that both Captain Bram and Chef Tess would almost disappear to give us our private time and then uncannily re-appear when we needed something. That in itself was quite a feat! They really made our all-inclusive adventure unforgettable. Would we do it again? Would we recommend this? Yes, yes and a most positive yes! You will have the time of your life!!! 24 November 2016 - 21:47:34

We had the most incredible week on CATMER with Captain Bram and Tess. It truly was everything I could have imagined and more. I have spent 10 years of dreaming of a vacation like this!! We spent 5 nights on CATMER with our kids are ages 7,9, and 11. Everyday was a new adventure! It was so nice to unplug and just enjoy each other and the beautiful sites of the Virgin Islands. We snorkeled multiple times everyday, explored various islands, played games, and just relaxed. Tess's cooking was absolutely amazing!!! Tess and Bram were so kind and our kids had a blast hanging out with them. The only thing I regret was over packing!! You only need a few swimsuits and cover-ups! I would do it again in a minute!!!! Chris was great to work with as well!! He answered all of my questions promptly(and I had a lot :) ). We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in St. Thomas the night before our cruise and the night we got off. It was pretty nice and gave us a chance to adjust back to land before we had to fly home. This is definitely worth the money and if you are considering this type of charter, stop looking and book with CATMER!!!! 30 November 2016 - 19:52:42

Just returned from a vacation on this boat. Imagine waking up every morning in a new part of paradise, lounging on a world class sail boat exploring various islands and bays throughout the day and being served world class food at every meal. Brahm and Tess are fantastic captain and chef and that boat!!!! Wow!! Who could imagine so much space in a bedroom on a boat. Private bathroom in each room, and plenty of places to hang out. The fly bridge is not typical for most sail boats we saw and that was by far the best place to hang out while under sail. Whether it was hanging out on the nets in the front or on the couch at front there was many places to lounge while sipping on a painkiller. Great dining area with plenty of space. The lagoon is just so much better than some of the other catarmarans I've sailed on in the past. You are not going wrong by booking this boat. trust me!!! 26 January 2017 - 00:11:48

After being on the boat for 10 days it's defiantly hard to be back on land! Boat life was incredible and having experienced it I don't think I can ever go on a regular vacation (on land) again! Living on this boat was great, it was spacious yet private. There are many areas to hang out, my favourite were the nets at the front of the boat, perfect place to lounge while sailing! I was also surprised by the size of our bedroom which included a full bathroom with a shower and lots of space to move around in. I love that we were able sail to a different islands everyday. Each one was better then the last and fun to explore best part is that private beaches never get old! Bram the captain was great at planning our days out and Tess's food was incredible (better then any restaurant on shore). This was a trip of a lifetime and I honestly can't wait to set sail again! 26 January 2017 - 14:57:51
  11. This was a "bucket-list" vacation. No other way to describe it! The boat itself was spectacular and exceeded all of my expectations: luxurious, spacious, and comfortable. The bedroom and on-suite bathroom offered all the space and comfort needed. Lots of below and above-deck space - with my particular favourites being the outdoor dining area and "fly-bridge" while sailing. The sun shade above the front nets was also a perfect place to relax while under way or anchored. The itinerary was excellent as well. We started in St. Thomas and cruised around the USVIs (including St. John) for the first couple days) - before island-hopping through the BVIs. Bram was our captain and knew of all the excellent snorkeling/diving sites - and some super special places to set anchor for the night or spend a lazy afternoon on a deserted beach! The highlights: St. John, Norman Island (Willy T's), Virgin Gorda, Anegada (scooters, secret beaches, and lobster), Tortola, and Jost Van Dyke (Soggy Dollar, Corsairs). The experience was incredible. We almost sailed exclusively for the entire trip (no motor power). Each morning we awoke to gourmet breakfasts and beautiful views before setting sail. I cannot say enough about the food though. Tess the chef is an absolute master. Everything from inspired salmon and snapper dishes, to grilled shrimp salads and fresh-baked breakfast items and desserts, it was unreal! Our best meals were always on the boat - vs. on-shore. Truly the trip of a lifetime. Beautiful sailing, stunning scenery, and a the perfect vessel for a week with lifelong old friends. This vacation set the standard by which I'll compare every future vacation. Amazing! 29 January 2017 - 22:52:54

We loved our time aboard the Cat-Mer. Bram and Tess made a wonderful 2 man crew. The food was delicious and the service fantastic! Bram sailed us to all our desired beaches and he showed us a few new ones which we loved. The catamaran was spacious and always clean. We had a wonderful family vacation and would highly recommend the sailing vessel and crew. 03 February 2017 - 02:08:34

Wow! My family (including my husband, our two daughters, son-in-law and three grandchildren) just had the best vacation of our lives and we have traveled throughout the world! We were so excited about sailing in the BVIs and it exceeded all expectations. First, there isnt a better place to sail in the world than the BVIs; the sailing and snorkeling are addictive. Second, Chris whos the owner has worked hard to make sure that the boat is in tip-top shape with comfy beds, linens, water toys, and everything you could possibly need. And then he hired Bram and Tess, the captain and cook, and they made sure our trip was chock full of great memories. Bram is such a superb captain and we couldnt believe the gourmet meals that Tess turned out of the galley on a daily basis they are charming and a lot of fun. We cant imagine seeing the BVIs any other way than on Chriss catamaran; it was definitely a bucket list trip and we plan on going back for a repeat performance as soon as possible. 11 April 2017 - 18:01:00

Phenomenal!!! Absolutely perfect. There are not enough words for me express how amazing this trip was and it was a direct result of Island Catamaran, Chris and the truly spectacular captain/first mate duo he chose (Tess and Bram). From the moment we started working with Chris, we knew we were in good hands - he was incredibly informative (we were first timers), responsive and willing to help create the best trip possible. When we stepped on board, we were in awe of how beautiful and well kept the boat was and the trip only got better from there. It was our first trip to the BVI and Bram and Tess went above and beyond to show us everything the islands had to offer. We made no fewer than 15 stops - Bram truly loves sailing and it showed in his willingness to take us everywhere. They took us to private beaches to snorkel and paddle board but also made sure we didn't miss the *must sees* (i.e., the baths, Anagada, Saba Rock, Soggy Dollar, snorkeling at the Indians etc.) and he ensured that we ate in the most delicious restaurants when we weren't being spoiled by Tess on the boat :) The boat itself was amazing and Chris had clearly put a lot of work into choosing his crew. Tess and Bram were an integral part of making the trip such a fun and memorable experience. Tess not only cooked us amazing meals but took such wonderful care of us that we could truly relax and not have to worry about where we were going or what we were going to do next. Bram set us up on Anagada with our scooter and made sure we were taken care of even when he wasn't around! My fianc and I travel all over the world and this was the first trip where we got to live fully *in* every single moment we had as opposed to stressing about what came next. Tess and Bram went out of their way to make sure my now fianc had exactly the right moment to pop the question and had all of the makings of a fabulous celebration once he had asked! There honestly could not have been better people to celebrate our engagement with than the two of them - we came away from the trip with two fantastic new friends!!! We plan to come sail with Island Catamaran every year with our friends and can't wait to see our favorite dynamic duo again!!! If you are looking for the best, most fun, most thoughtfully executed sailing trip of the BVI, you would be crazy to choose anyone other than Island Catamaran!! You will have a spotlessly clean and incredibly safe home on the water with not a care in the world :) 13 June 2017 - 20:08:00

WOW!! What an amazing week we had on the Catmer!! Thank you Chris for making the booking process so easy! This trip way exceeded our expectations! Every day was great!! Bram and Tess are wonderful!! They truly took great care of us for the week! We wanted for nothing!! Bram took us to all the best snorkeling spots, beaches, islands. Every day we went to several different spots and loved them all! Tess is an amazing chef! We truly loved every single thing she made for us! We honestly enjoyed our meals more on the boat than off! We have 13 year old girl/boy twins who have now ranked this on the top of our trip list! It was great that they each had their on room and bathroom! And we slept so good the entire week! The sunshine, the gorgeous water, the beaches, the restaurants, the bars, the snorkeling, Bram and Tess...we just miss it all already! Thank you for a very memorable week!! Planning to do this again!! I just can't say enough good things about our week! 08 July 2017 - 16:16:00

My husband and I were looking for a way to spend NYE at Foxy's with 3 other 30 something couples, and stumbled across this listing. While we hadn't planned on a sailing trip (we have sailed the VI in a monohull before), but could not be happier that we found this listing. The trip turned out to be the most amazing experience ever! The boat was beautiful and very spacious compared to other similar sized boats we had been on, and every day was pure bliss sailing from island to island. Captain Bram and Tess were absolutely amazing, and truly made the trip exceptional. From the second we boarded we were pampered with champagne and appetizers, and the experience only got better from there. Bram is incredibly experienced, and we always felt 100% safe. Tess is an amazing chef, and I would 100% recommend the meal plan, as the food on board was ALWAYS better than on land. More importantly they were both super cool and fun! While they were very cognizant of giving us our own time, by the end they just felt like part of the group and we had them join us for NYE b/c we loved hanging out with them so much! For me the crew made the trip as we talked to couples from other charters who had a much different experience even though they went to almost the exact same places we did. Beyond that, the coordination we had with Chris (he too went above and beyond to accommodate out schedules etc), the itinerary they planned, and of course the BVI in general could not have been better, and was the perfect way to sail into 2016 ;). This will always be remembered as the trip of a lifetime - but I hope to replicate it with Catmer, Chris, Bram and Tess again soon!! 11 March 2016 - 22:05:34

We had the vacation of a lifetime aboard the Catmer. Tess and Bram were lovely hosts and an excellent team. Every meal was a gourmet delight and we were astounded by Tess's talents, especially in the tiny kitchen. (I'm still dreaming of her tiriamisu!) Bram was an excellent sailor and he took great care of us. Both were so pleasant and fun to be with. We enjoyed the snorkeling, paddle boarding, and island exploring. Our teenage travelers loved the high-impact adventures and Tess's mashed potatoes. The owner, Chris, was wonderful to work with and made the booking process so easy! 11 April 2016 - 23:33:01

Wow, our first impression of the boat was very impressive. This is a well maintained beautiful Catamaran that was very spacious and comfortable. The cabins were all quite roomy and comfortable. The seating areas on the boat were very generous as well. Meals were always served at the aft cockpit area. A generous seating area is also available on the bow, where Bram and Tess would often set up a sun shade for us. We set sail immediately leaving the harbour for our first night aboard Cat-mer. Our previous charters stayed at the marina the first night which can be noisy and always a rush to leave in the morning, not here. We anchored in some of the most beautiful little coves I've ever seen. A couple of nights we were the only boat in the cove, very private and beautiful. The first night Bram asked us where we would like to go and what we would like to do. We achieved everything on our wish list and then more. Another thing that set this charter apart from other charters we've been on is that Bram; our captain, actually sailed this magnificent boat. He used the motors to get us out of the cove in the morning, set the sails and then shut off the motors and we sailed away just like a sailboat should. This man can sail that boat! The boat has a furling genoa which we used most of the time, however one day Bram brought out the big guns; the gennaker sail. Bram also included us when sailing the boat, which I particulary was thrilled about, thanks Bram! A memory I'll never forget. We went snorkelling every opportunity we could and saw some beautiful sea life including dolphins. We've never seen dolphins before while sailing, so this was a real treat. After we sailed to Anegada, we went ashore and rented some scooters and saw the island at our own pace. The meals were were great, Tess served up some wonderful dishes. For our dinners ashore Bram didn't let us down there either, always finding a very nice restaurant. One afternoon we even went to Willy T's, a must if you are down in the BVI's. Soggy Dollar is also a popular spot to visit and then walk the amazing beach. If you've ever been to a five star resort and enjoyed it, take that memory and experience and double it at least. This is like being at a five star resort for six people, just no comparison. We'll never go back to a resort again, just too crowded! My only complaint...it was over too quickly, Bram and Tess made for a very memorable sailing adventure. Thanks so much, it was the best! 25 February 2017 - 19:15:00

We traveled on CAT MER over April break with our 3 children (10,8,6). The trip could not have been better! Tess and Bram were incredible with our entire family. The food and drinks were amazing and they always had the best suggestions on places to stop and explore. We will absolutely book a trip with them in the future!! 02 May 2016 - 23:17:19
