We (5 adults and 4 children) all had comfortable places to sleep. The kitchen is somewhat small, but we cooked only a few meals in the apartment, so all was OK. Lighting and heating were good. The location was excellent. We had a very nice stay in the LES. 01 April 2017 - 16:09:00

We rented this apartment for 3 couples visiting for several days. It fit our needs perfectly. The building is on a quiet street down in the Chinatown/Little Italy area. While many of our activities were outside of this area, we found it easy to get around by foot, subway, and Uber. The space itself is clean, contemporary, and well stocked. We particularly liked the fact that each couple had a bed/bath combination. We had no problems, although it took us a bit of time to figure out the radiator heat. I recommend this space to anyone with a group similar to ours. 13 December 2016 - 22:50:00

This was the first time we had used Home Away. We were more than happy with our rental. Everything in the unit was as described; the people we communicated with were great. Loved it! The 6 of us all plan to uses Home Away in the future. 05 May 2017 - 18:41:00

Great place... clean, convenient, the host was super helpful but not intrusive. The location is great for accessing the Bowery area and Brooklyn and everything else is also really convenient. Loved it. 17 July 2017 - 13:19:00

Space was great! The host was available and we felt more like friends staying over than strangers renting. Great place, would absolutely stay again! 07 November 2016 - 19:05:00

We had a lovely time at Stacey's apartment. We are three friends who had planned to get together for a girls' week end in New York, and this apartment was perfect for the occasion. Before the stay, Stacey sent us a list of transportation tips, neighborhood restaurant and bar recommendations, and these came in super handy as we planned our trip. Picking up the keys was easy since she used the KeyCafe system, making is stress free and super convenient to pick them up. The neighborhood is hip, trendy, and still up and coming - it was so much fun to roam around and explore. While Saturday evening the streets were packed, Stacey's apartment was super quiet and we were well shielded from the noise. The apartment itself is a little gem - very spacious and beautifully decorated with contemporary furniture, AMAZING bedding (yes, this is very important to me, and often on VRBOs bedding is terrible), soft linens, tons of towels for use, and a well appointed kitchen with all cooking essentials. We felt right at home the minute we walked in. All rooms are decorated with taste, giving it a modern yet very cozy feel. I will definitely be back at Stacey's next time I am in town - the neighborhood is amazing (you MUST have drinks ate Mr. Purple) and the apartment made me feel right at home. Thank you Stacey! 08 July 2016 - 15:38:00

Lovely place to stay Great communication with owner Easy key pick up and drop off Apt was well furnished, super clean and cozy. Beds were very comfy and rooms were great size for the city. Only thing to note is that 2 bedrooms are down a narrow spiral staircase. No biggie for us but wanted others esp with large suitcases or kids to be aware. Plenty of linens but bring your own toiletries. 21 October 2016 - 13:29:00

This condo was very nice and welcoming at the end of a very busy and tiring day on our first time in NYC. It was clean and the beds were super comfortable - the best of our entire trip - and being from Houston and after having just gone thru Hurricane Harvey the week before we all really needed a good night's sleep. 20 September 2017 - 13:07:00

We had a large family group of 9. We have never stayed in LES-but enjoyed exploring this area. Lovely restaurants close by..... we tried those suggested by Stacey and enjoyed each one! A cosy apartment as described. We were comfortable and happy with the accommodation. It was rather warm in the living room in the evenings, but it was hot in NY!! Bedrooms are all air conditioned. The lift to the lower floor was very helpful with luggage (we had lots of suitcases!) Good storage space, great bathrooms and showers, and lovely compact kitchen. Some of us have feather allergy and there were a few non down pillows. There were quite a few loose feathers in the pillow top mattress which was alarming when we took off the sheets!! but there was a quick response to this concern. Overall Stacey is responsive, and extremely helpful with check in and out. We would be very happy to stay here again! Our only note is that on our first day we did find that the cleaning wasn't complete but when we called an evening visit rectified the situation. Also the cleaners were very helpful with rearranging the beds to suit our needs. Overall we would highly recommend this lovely apartment. Thanks Stacey!! 19 August 2017 - 08:55:00

We loved our time in NYC and the HUGE property we stayed in. It was perfect for 6 of us! Plenty of room and very quiet. Everything we needed was available. The owner was so kind and responsive. Easy to get keys, easy to check out and she provided so many recommendations that we used. If we go back, we will definitely stay here again. It's a must for anyone traveling in a large group! Thanks so much for sharing your place. 31 May 2017 - 14:09:00

It's so hard finding a place with enough room for a group traveling together. This rental was super convenient to many subway stops, the beds and linens really comfortable, and the decor a modern/vintage mix without being too cookie cutter. The kitchen was even stocked with spices and supplies so you could cook a few meals if we didn't feel like going out. It really made our first NYC experience that much better, exceeded our expectiations on all fronts! Owner was communicative without being intruding. Highly recommend. 19 October 2017 - 19:34:00

We are six older women who come to NYC once a year to see plays and catch up. This is, by far, the nicest apt we have rented. Our only issue was that we were so far downtown. We ubered or lyfted everywhere, which was cheaper than cabs and easier than the subway. We highly recommend this apartment. 16 October 2017 - 12:54:00

We booked this last minute for a guys trip and were a little nervous with no reviews yet and honestly, who really knows what they're booking, even with a hotel. We've certainly booked hotels and been disappointed before upon arrival. Not the case here. Stacey responded immediately and made us feel at ease. Upon arrival, it looked better than the pictures and easy for luggage because of the elevator. Lots of space to walk around in and completely equipped with everything we needed: comfortable beds, coffee, tea, and toiletries. Definitely better than booking a NYC hotel where you feel crammed in. The apartment was a great find, especially with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Who wants to share a bathroom? Except with your girlfriend. But you know how that goes! 07 February 2016 - 17:25:37

We needed to book on short notice and were getting super frustrated with hosts from VRBO and airbnb simply just not getting back to us. Stacey got back to us super fast and made booking easy. She also provided a thorough welcome email with restaurant suggestions and local tips that we really appreciated. The place was huge for NYC and easily had enough space for our family. The beds were so comfortable, it was a shame we only got to stay one night before our flight back home the next day. 25 February 2016 - 05:47:14

We had a big group going to NYC and this apartment was perfect for all of us. It was comfortable, clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed. Stacey was on top of communication and we had a wonderful stay. The apartment is in the lower east side, close to everything we needed (so much good food.. we ate out for every meal even tho the apartment has a rare full kitchen to cook in). The beds were comfy and the linens soft and clean. The outdoor space was a plus. I also liked that it was a ground floor apartment - easy access for all our suitcases we had to drag in! 10 November 2017 - 02:19:00

The apartment was perfect for our group of 8 ladies! The living/dining room was large enough for us all, the beds were comfortable and the 3 bathrooms were great! The neighborhood had plenty of restaurants and good access to the subways. We highly recommend the apartment! 06 November 2017 - 12:51:00

My 4 friends and I (we work in a hospital with over a combined 100+ yrs of clinical experience) spent 5 nights in this apt. We loved the location (LES), the apt was large, very quiet and within easy walking distance of the metro. Nice that the bedrooms had window AC's as the apt got quite warm. We all love NYC and spent from morning to evening going to museums, plays, etc. However, the apt was dirty, the sheets did not look washed and were badly stained and should have been thrown out, the pillows were all stained and should have been thrown out, the floors in the bathroom were dirty, if you wiped them with the damp paper towel you could see they hadn't been cleaned in some time. Nothing was dusted, neither floors or furniture and the winding staircase had dust caked in corners. The kitchen cabinets were greasy with dust and hairs clinging to them. None of the ceiling fans worked in the bathrooms and the uptake vents were covered in dust. The master bedroom bathroom had extensive mold between the tiles and on the shower curtain there was goo spilled inside of the bathroom cabinet. There were missing light bulbs in bathrooms and bedrooms. Some of the canister lights in 2 of the bedrooms were hanging down by their wires. I cleaned the bathroom floor and dusted the brass table top in the bedroom so I could put some things on it. The apt could have had more towels. The trash cans in bedrooms and large one in kitchen was filthy and I cleaned them as I couldn't stand it. All this we could have overlooked because we were having so much fun out and about in NYC. But then we discovered bugs--first in kitchen and then in bedrooms--some sort of louse probably a species of book lice that will eat anything and go through 4 - 6 molts over a period of weeks and some adults have wings. They are small 2 - 3 mm long. We found live ones, molted skin and droppings in our beds. My friend and I who slept in separate beds in the full bedroom had bites on the back of our necks (possibly mites). My biggest fear was bringing them home as we had our black suitcases on the floor near our beds and our dirty clothes in a bag near the bed. Today 14 days after we left I found one of the lice in my bed and am sick about it. Stacey the owner was concerned when I reported all of this to her. Once maintenance, cleaning and bug issues are taken care of it would be an ideal place to spend your NYC visit. 28 September 2017 - 13:19:00

This is a very nice apartment in NYC and in a great location next to shopping, bars and restaurants. You can spend your entire stay eating and drinking at places on the same street. Or you can make a short walk to China Town, Little Italy and Soho. Everything is close by. It is quite an unusual place in NYC as it has 3 bedrooms and 3 separate baths. Great for 3 couples. Kitchen and living areas are also unusually spacious for NYC and easily accommodates 6 adults in the living area and for meals.. Whats keeping this from a 5 star rating is the furniture, all of it is a bit tired (couch, mattresses, shower curtains, etc.). "Lived in" would be my description. However, it is not priced as a 5-star location, so one would expect something short of the Ritz Carlton. I would not hesitate staying here again. 30 January 2018 - 18:42:00
