About listing

Welcome to our spacious studio loft in Chelsea / Flatiron. Truly a gorgeous place, fully furnished with King AND Queen bed, an amazing artist studio or office, a second desk/office, two huge closets, and all linens, towels, and kitchenware provided. (+ couch, 2 full length mirrors, TV, book, stereo, dressers, etc). Explore the city from the most central point, right in the heart of Manhattan. The Flatiron building and Madison Square Park are an arms reach away, at the end of the block. This loft is my pride & joy! A magnificent space that is set for your arrival and comfort, featuring lots of exciting and unique pieces of furniture and art. We hope you will feel inspired, relaxed, and at-home. Soaring ceilings allow for an enormous loft, with a king master bed providing luxurious and restful sleep. The queen bed is underneath the loft making this studio easily sharable and uniquely private. You can pick from the bookshelf, browse shows and movies on the Amazon firestick, or listen to music on the bluetooth stereo. We encourage longer stays (but accept trips a min. of 30 days) so please take advantage of ample closet, dresser, and storage space. There are 2 enormous closets, a storage system on the loft, and 2 open dressers. Gaze out your large bright windows onto the gorgeous gothic-revival Serbian church across the street, built in 1850. It sadly burned down about a year and a half ago. But now we can see the empire state building clearly through the negative space where the stain glass window used to be, putting on light shows each night. Turning the lights off in the apartment and just enjoying the view is one of our favorite, rare, quiet moments in this bustling city. Kitchen has a stainless steel refrigerator (bottom freezer), quality gas stove & oven, toaster, coffee maker, stacked trays for snacks or fruit, and necessities like pots, pans, dishware, utensils, even spices and teas. The bathroom has a gorgeous sink basin (with antique cabinet), roomy shower, and great water pressure. You can hang your keys on the key hook in the kitchen, and your jackets on the hooks by the front door. The building manager will let you in to the apartment. After that, no one will disrupt you, but you can feel free to contact the building manager, the super (both in the basement office), or me at any time with issues or questions. They are onsite at least 9am - 7am, but usually 24/7. Smack in the heart of bustling Manhattan, this location is beyond perfect. Take a right out of the building and within seconds you will find the majesty of the Flatiron building flanking you on the right side, and directly ahead Madison Square Park, with its perpetual art installations and events (and the original Shake Shack). Also on your right will be Eataly - the monumental bustling Italian gourmet foods market with numerous restaurants peppered throughout the space. DO NOT buy baguettes, ciabatta, or mozzarella anywhere else!!! I'm telling you, its the same price as anywhere else but the quality is impeccable. There are lots of great restaurants from cheap, quick, and healthy (like Inday), to date-night dining (Nomad), to quality sports pubs (Rogue), brunch (Penelope), to basically anything else (Burgers - Schnipper's) (Fried Chicken - Hill Country) (Mac&Cheese - Meltshop) (etc). By the way, most of these are within 2 blocks. You can also prepare your own delicious meals after stopping at Fairway supermarket (on the corner of our block), or Whole Foods (3 blocks away), or Trader Joe's (4 blocks away). You can get great beer for good prices at Trader Joe's or go to the fantastic wine shop, also on the corner of our block. I've seen Bill Murray, Rihanna, and Kanye West on our block. 40/40, Jay Z's nightclub, is on the corner of 25th and Broadway. You can encounter as much or as little of that as you please. Another great place for nightlife in the neighborhood is the rooftop club 230 5th. Of course, if you head a several blocks west into Chelsea you will find ALL kinds of nightclubs and also some of the best galleries in the world.

Airy, light, funky, artistic apartment with character, in a great location. Transportation, excellent grocery stores, many cafes and restaurants, as well as sights, all within walking distance. The building is well attended and managed- any and all needs, questions, and concerns were promptly addressed, and Aly was terrific in arranging my rental and easy to reach. I would definitely stay in this apartment again in the future! 20 September 2016 - 04:10:00
