About listing

This is the Brownstone Brooklyn at its finest. Our home is a lovely second-floor 2BR apartment on President St between 6th and 7th Ave in prime North Park Slope. Our block is quiet, and our neighborhood is bursting with great things to do: Prospect Park (created by the same planner who created Central Park) is 2 blocks away; the coffee shops, boutiques, and restaurants of 7th Ave are right around the corner; grocery stores, laundromats, hardware stores, all within a block or two. The location can't be beat. And it takes just 30 minutes to get to the heart of Manhattan (via nearby stops of the 2/3, B, Q, or R lines). The apartment is beautiful: a large master bedroom with good light and a stained glass window; a cozy kids bedroom (with a loft-bed and a crib); a TV-watching nook (featuring a 40-inch flatscreen, HBO/Showtime/Netflix/Hulu); a little extra room we're using as a kids' playroom right now; a living room / dining room; an eat-in kitchen; a romantic fire escape looking out at the church on the corner, and one bathroom (with shower/tub). The apartment features FiOS (fast fiber optic Internet with wifi) and utilities are included. About us: We're a young family (two parents, two kids ages 5 and 2). We live here most of the year, except when we travel to teach at an arts academy in the Midwest during the middle of the summer. We're out of town from June 10th through August 14th -- 9 full weeks. And are still looking for someone to rent the first half of that, from mid-June until mid-July. If you're interested, please share a little about yourself and what dates you're interested in and we'll get back to you promptly. Thanks!

Great location for a family visit in a centrally located area of Brooklyn near Prospect Park, grocery and restaurants. The apartment is clean and accommodates a family of 4 with ease. 05 July 2016 - 12:37:00

We especially loved the location of this apartment. Park Slope is a beautiful neighbourhood in Brooklyn. Just around the corner are 5th and 7th avenue, both streets with lots of shops and restaurants. The best thing about this location: it's only an 8 minute walk to subwaystation Grand Army Plaza where you can take the 2/3 express train to Manhatten. It's real quick! I think only 10/15 minutes to Wallstreet. And it goes all the way up to the Upper West Side (30 minutes?). Also, the beachtrain from 7th Avenue subwaystation (the one near Grand Army Plaza, not the other one) takes you to Brighton beach or Coney island in 20 minutes. When you have children, you'll find an amazing huge playground on 3rd Street, a 5 minute walk. And more playgrounds on 7th avenue and in Prospect Park offcourse 28 August 2017 - 08:24:00
