About listing

I suggest booking directly through me because of new hefty service fees to both owners and renters from VRBO: contact details: [email protected] This elegantly appointed apartment in a recently completely renovated 19th C building on rue des Beaux Arts is on the 5th floor with elevator access. It is the epitome of Parisian charm. The neighborhood is sophisticated with beautiful shops and divine restaurants and delightful bistros. Just across the street is L'Hotel, the most charming and expensive hotel on the Left Bank with a restaurant to match it's reputation. The famous École des Beaux Arts is at the end of this short street. Boulevard St Germain is three blocks east where you can watch the Parisiens pass by while sitting and sipping at Deux Magot. Everything you need for a very comfortable stay is in the apartment, including a weekly housekeeper and an on call manager who is fluent in French, English and German. The master bedroom is quite large and has a sitting area and a desk area that faces the fireplace and TV. The master bath is complete with both a tub and enclosed shower the toilet and washer/dryer area can be closed off by a sliding door. A small dressing area with a closet is between the bathroom and the bedroom. The guest/sitting room has a TV in the closet and also opens to the narrow balcony that goes the entire width of the apartment. The guest bath has a fully enclosed shower. All bedding is provided for my guests. The dining room has French doors and a view of the Louvre, across the Seine, can be seen from there. The table seats 6. The kitchen has a super fast electric glass top stove and an oven below. The kitchen is completely stocked for cooking as it is one of my favorite things to do in Paris. The half French windows in the kitchen overlook 19th century chimney pots and the golden dome of the Institut Francais. The kitchen can be closed off with a half glass sliding door. No students are allowed and children who are attentive to their surroundings may be permitted. The weekly rental is 2450 Euros with a 50% deposit required to make a firm reservation. The remaining 50% is due 1 month before arrival date. The keys will be delivered by my on call manager and must be returned no later than noon on the day of your departure. This apartment has been immaculately maintained and my guests are requested to respect its care. If you require any further photos please email me. This is a special apartment in a beautiful location. It was quite obvious the moment we walked into the apartment that we were going to have a wonderful stay. It is exquisitely maintained, very well decorated and fully equipped for an extended visit. We know the Saint Germain area very well so for us, the location was perfect. The owner is extremely helpful and very gracious. The entire experience was Fabulous. 19 March 2012 - 17:28:39

The flat is a wonderful base from which to explore Paris and a comfortable enclave to retire to after the day's activities. The kitchen is well-equipped and the formal dining room and spacious living room provide an ideal spot to entertain. While the master bedroom and bath are luxuriously proportioned, the second bedroom and bath are much smaller, and the pull-out couch in the second bedroom is perhaps more suitable for temporary guests or for young adults. We appreciated the elegant furnishings punctuated with fine ceramics, paintings and sculpture. Obviously, the owner has taken great care in appointing this home and renters should expect to occupy it with the same careful attitude. (I would not recommend it for children) Sabine, the Parisian hostess, was fluent in English, personable, and very helpful in explaining how to use appliances etc. 07 April 2012 - 17:57:00

We just returned from our one week stay at this apartment located on Rue des Beaux Arts. The pictures truly do not do this apt justice--it is elegant, immaculate, yet equally warm and inviting. Surrounded by art galleries on a quiet street, you'll find yourself only a short walk away from the bustling activity, dining options and shopping to be found on nearby rue de buci and blvd st. Germain. After a long day touring the city, we would let out a collective sigh of happiness to be back at this beautiful gem. If truly felt like a home away from home. 22 April 2012 - 21:10:26

This lovely apartment is not only beautifully furnished, it's full of wonderful art work, like exploring an art gallery in your own home. I kept discovering new pieces! The location is perfect. Not only is it a short walk into the heart of St. Germain, but also only a ten-minute walk in the other direction across the river to the Louvre, or along the quai to the Musee d'Orsay. Everything was as described, except perhaps one minor point; the second bedroom is not exactly large, nor is the second bathroom. When the pull-out couch is open, there is not much room to move about. This is fine for a short stay, and my guests were quite happy. On the other hand, the master bedroom and bathroom were extraordinarily large for Paris, and I was very comfortable. The owner was very obliging before I rented, sending me additional photos and answering my questions. The property manager was also very helpful, and the cleaning person was pleasant and obliging. I would certainly love to stay in this apartment again and hope to do so in the near future. 14 June 2012 - 22:16:01

We stayed here in late June and early July, 2012. It is everything pictured and written here, and more. The location is amazing. It is just a block and half from the Rue De Buci, a block+ of cafes and shops filled with a mixture of locals and tourists every evening. Google it for some images and you'll see a block further are the famous cafes at Saint-Germain-des-Prs. A block in the other direction is the Seine and the famous pedestrian bridge Pont des Arts. The Louvre, d'Orsay and Notre Dame are all in walking distance. And it is perfectly located to have several different metro lines nearby, so you can get almost anywhere fast. And the regional trains run nearby too. The apartment itself is spacious and very clean. We were three: my wife and I and our 10-year-old daughter. The master bedroom was large and has a very comfortable bed. The second bedroom was excellent as well, and can easily be used for a second couple or two kids. There is also a large living room with plenty of space and a large dining room. The kitchen was nice and there are two bathrooms, each with a shower. There are lots of little things that made it even nicer: U.S. plug adapters, air conditioning, a printer for printing tickets to museums that we bought online with out laptops, a desk, plenty of things in the kitchen, lots of windows, tour books on the shelves. And we loved the great collection of art on the walls. Of course there was also the the balcony, including a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower and the sounds of Paris all around. The building is also quite secure as well. There's the front door, the inner gate, then the heavy door to the apartment. It was nice to not worry about our laptops and gadgets like we might with a hotel. The caretaker was great too. Very friendly and helpful. It is easy for us to highly recommend this apartment to anyone. The next time we go to Paris, the first thing we'll do is to try to get a reservation to stay here again. It was more than just a place to sleep -- it was one of the highlights of the whole trip. 11 August 2012 - 03:51:52

Our recent stay at this beautiful apartment was wonderful! Having always dreamed of living in Paris, this experience was a perfect way to see what it would be like. We're already trying to figure out how to return! The decor was fabulous, the location was perfect, and it was so nice to have room to spread out which a hotel could never provide. Everyone was so helpful - thank you for making our stay so special! 10 August 2012 - 20:13:57

What a beautiful apartment in a great location! We felt like we were living the life of luxury in Paris. The apartment was spacious, modern and well equipped. It is even more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures. We could walk everywhere and it was fun to go to the french markets and prepare some meals chez nous! The apartment is beautifully decorated and the view of the Eiffel Tower and roof tops of Paris was icing on the cake. Mme. Goldman has thought of everything a guest could possibly need. We were thrilled with the apartment and Sabine was waiting for us when we arrived. We hope to return some day. We had a wonderful stay. 06 September 2012 - 20:03:43

We had such a lovely stay this past week in this amazing apartment. As the other reviews said, the pictures do not do this place justice! We could not believe how spacious the apartment was, and it was so beautifully decorated. We said many times on our trip that our most memorable times were just staying in and drinking wine in this beautiful place, listening to the classical music that Mrs. Goldman suggested. The view is gorgeous, and the location made it so easy to walk to all the main attractions! My husband and I went along with another couple and there was plenty of room for all of us. As first timers to Paris and also to renting an apartment, the process could not have been easier. Sabine was wonderful and so helpful on many occassions. I was so happy to call this place home for a week, and hope to return again in the future. Thank you for being willing to open up this wonderful place of yours so people like us can enjoy it! Au revoir! 01 October 2012 - 19:49:28

My wife and I recently stayed at this wonderful apartment, and like the other reviewers have stated, came away with very positive experiences. The apartment is beautiful, safe, and in a great location. Dorothy also makes it easy to complete the rental. She always promptly answered e-mails, and you feel as though she treats you as a personal house guest. I also liked the "prompts" around the apartment to make your stay more enjoyable. For example, on the washer and dryer, there are easy to follow directions taped onto the front of each machine. Sabine, the caretaker, also could not be nicer or more accommodating. The apartment is in a great location. We walked everywhere and really enjoyed the restaurants that are within a 5-10 minute walk. Try L'Epigramme, Fish, and Cosi (Cosi is very casual-mostly sandwiches. A little further away (but still walkable) is one of our favorite bistros in Paris-Josephine "Chez Dumonet". Loved this apartment and love Paris! 27 October 2012 - 14:01:19

From the moment we discovered this little bit of heaven we were so excited. Dear friends of our stayed at the flat 2 years ago & raved about it. From the time of booking the rental to arriving it was a very stream lined process. When we arrived, Sabine greeted us at the building, explained all the features & how everything worked. She explained/described the neighborhhood and shared some wonderful highlights of Paris for us to visit & how to get around. The living areas were very warm and inviting; the photos online do not do the home justice! It is truly lovely & immaculate. The master bedroom was lovely with a very comfortable bed, an ipod docking station, tv, wireless for our laptop. The kitchen was really charming with pretty Paris views. Most rooms you could step out onto the balconies and see the Eifel Tower! We looked forward to coming "home" each evening to a warm, beautiful environment! Paris was our last stop of our vacation & having the space, kitchen & washer/dryer were a welcome relief from staying in hotels for 2+ weeks. We would highly recommend this amazing home to our relatives & friends. It is close to all of the important museums, cathedrals, art galleries, bistros, shopping, outdoor markets ... everything was at our fingertips. The only negative was handing the keys over & leaving Paris! Cannot wait to return! 20 November 2012 - 22:16:38

We had the most wonderful time in Paris earlier this month. This apartment is absolutely amazing! Although the photos on the website were beautiful I don't know if they do it justice. Also the location could not be better. We walked to so many of the sights which made life to easy. Even our Parisian friends commented on what a great location it is. The manager, Sabine, could not have been more lovely. She even gave my daughters a cooking lesson which they really enjoyed. I think this apartment is perfect for a family with kids (10 or older). The master bedroom is quite a bit larger than the 2nd bedroom so sharing between 2 couples might be tough unless you know what you are doing going into it. It was perfect for our family with 2 girls, 13 and 10. 28 April 2013 - 21:21:47

The apartment at 4 Rue des Beaux Arts is incredible and we highly recommend it. The apartment was perfect for us. We were there 3 weeks and occasionally had friends stay in the guest room which worked out great. The decor is gorgeous and you can't beat the view. The location was perfect, in the heart of the 6th and walking distance to everything (in 3 weeks we only took a taxi or the metro a few times). The rental process was very easy and the on-site manager was lovely and only a phone call away. We adored this apartment and can't wait to go back the next time we are in Paris. 04 June 2013 - 21:39:30

The Apartment was spacious, very clean and is in a wonderful location!! The Apartment was well stocked and furnished! Nice small balcony with a great view and plenty of window/doors to let fresh air and light into the Apartment. It is larger than it appears in the photos and there is plenty of space to hang clothes and store your belongings. The washer and dryer are very useful, and allow you to pack "lightly". Walking distance to many sights and wonderful cafes. Sabine was very helpful and informative, and was flexible with her time. I would highly recommend this Apartment to anyone that I know!!! I initially booked it for the central A/C...but the weather was cool enough in late May that it was never used!! Apartment is very upscale...totally renovated...wonderfully furnished...beautifully located...etc. Thank you Dorothy for sharing your incredible Apartment!! 11 June 2013 - 16:11:40

This apartment, unlike most in Paris, is actually bigger than the photos lead you to believe. Most of our previous experience they looked big and were tiny. It is in the most fabulous location. We could walk to everything. We enjoyed just hanging out in the apartment. It was like being at home. If we return to Paris we will base our travel on when this Apartment is available. Sabine the apartment manager was fabulous!! I could just go on and on. I will recommend this Apt to everyone that goes. Dorothy, You have made this place wonderful! Rob 11 July 2013 - 14:58:52

We had our best visit ever in over 20 years of annuals trips to Paris in this wonderful home away from home! With its superb location, spacious rooms, elegant decor, convenient elevator, working washer, dryer and dishwasher, comfortable beds, fabulous kitchen, and more, we just didn't want to leave at the end of our month! Sabine was just terrific, and she couldn't have been more helpful to us. We appreciated having weekly cleaning. We walked to the Louvre, the Orsay, Notre Dame, St. Germain de Pres, and galleries galore! Bus 95 took us to Galleries Lafayette, Opera Garnier and Sacre Coeur. We loved the Eiffel Towel view and good restaurants were all around us. Oh my, what a find! 18 August 2013 - 21:31:24

Just back from a fabulous stay at this spacious flat. The apartment's interior is elegant yet comfortable, and the air conditioning and elevator were nice bonuses. The location is first-rate. The apartment is on a relatively quiet street in a very unique neighborhood (Renoir and Monet shared a studio right around the corner!) that is home to some wonderful cafes, restaurants, galleries and shops. There is also a full-size grocery just down the way. And many of the city's "must sees" (Notre Dame, Louvre, etc.) are within easy walking distance. Best of all, the owner and her colleagues are very available to make sure the rental process and your stay go smoothly. (For several reasons, we needed a little extra "hand holding" leading up to our visit, and Dorothy was always understanding and responsive.) Very highly recommended! 28 August 2013 - 17:32:33

This is a wonderful apartment in a fabulous location. Sabine, the manager made our stay very special in this very well maintained flat. The location was such a plus...every day was an adventure walking to all the best attractions and then finding another great place to eat each night. Dorothy made to rental process easy and the pictures don't do justice to this spacious apartment. Shopping was also very convenient and there was a small market around the corner that had a nice selection including fresh fruit and the nearby Monopix stocks everything. I would highly recommend this apartment/location and hope to bring my family back for another visit. 07 October 2013 - 21:04:21

We were two couples sharing this beautiful apartment. The location is second to none, within easy walking distance to many sights, the river, restaurants and shopping. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and was truly better than expected which is always a good thing! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. One note: If you are two couples, the second 'bedroom' and bath are considerably smaller than the master - something to keep in mind. If you are close friends, you will find it to be spacious and accommodating. Beautiful and inspiring art hung everywhere. We spent part of our evenings drinking wine just enjoying the ambiance of the space. We even had guests in for champagne one night as friends were travelling in Paris at the same time - you cant enjoy that in a hotel room! Sabine was gracious and helpful, asking us for our suggestions for improvement upon our departure. Having rented several apartments in Paris I can say without a doubt that this one was the best. 15 October 2013 - 22:49:32

Our stay at 4 Beaux des Arts was even better than expected. The location in St. Germain was perfect for walking to many sites and browsing the many shops in the area. We used the Metro and the bus only twice during our visit because everything was so conveniently situated. My group of three was in Paris for our 13th annual Girls' Trip and felt that we had stepped into a fairy tale the moment we entered the apartment. Exquisitely furnished and very comfortable, the size of the apartment provided both privacy and the ability to relax together. Sabine, the house manager, graciously welcomed us upon our arrival and took us on an informative tour showing us how to best enjoy the apartment during our stay. She answered our various questions and provided suggestions re dining and shopping. Her knowledge was invaluable and served as a foundation throughout our stay. Oh, and the view from the front of the apartment was an added bonus!!! Every night after returning home, we hurried straight to the Juliet balcony to gaze in awe at the glittering Eiffel Tower in the distance...a lovely way to end each perfect day. We definitely recommend this apartment and will return to it ourselves if Paris is again in our future. 19 April 2014 - 23:23:37

We have stayed here twice, and our second visit was better than we remembered. We were greeted at the door by Sabine who welcomed us and assisted us greatly; we were very pleased at how immaculate Barbara kept the apartment. Groceries, bakery, and restaurants are within five minutes, and bus and metro are easily accessible. Easy walks to the Louvre, Muse d'Orsay, and Notre Dame. Everything works in the apartment which has a fully functioning kitchen. Apartment has a convenient elevator, and its heat/air conditioning system works fine. We especially enjoyed having two bathrooms, one of which had a modern shower. Overall, the best apartment we have discovered in our many trips to Paris. 06 December 2017 - 16:51:00
