There is also a local taxi service. Buses do connect within walking distance but are infrequent. Other Things to Note Bicycles are wonderful to enjoy the coastal trail. Location and property were great. Great views of Ocean just steps away. Also just short drive to San Fran and airport. Property was very clean and owner and manager were great. Perfect for a couple's get-a-way. Not much for cooking but we planned on eating out anyway. 22 January 2016 - 17:00:00
  2. Nancy's place was great and she was very friendly, she gave my parents a lift from the local town, showed them around the area and provided some recommendations on what to do and see. He place was clean and comfortable, and is located steps away from the cliffs and a beautiful cliffside walk. We had a great time staying here, Nancy was a super host and I highly recommend it! 04 November 2015 - 15:23:00

Really had a lovely stay! The place was actually more spacious than I'd thought from the pictures. Decor is sophisticated but homey. Bed is a little soft for my taste, and room darkening curtains might be nice, but the linens are very cozy. We were there in early Autumn and it seemed like the space might get chilly layer in the season, but there were ample throw blankets scattered around, even an extra duvet. Plenty of places to curl up with a good book (and plenty of books to borrow from the shelves). Modern bathroom. Great location in a very quiet small town. It's very close to Half Moon Bay and all its restaurants (and breweries and wineries and..) - we had excellent meals throughout our stay. Lovely views of the coastline just a few steps down the street. Check-in and checkout were easy. 02 October 2015 - 06:35:00

We had a wonderful weekend visit to the Moss Beach/Half Moon Bay area. Our host, Nancy, was great - she was there to greet us and made us feel right at home. Really enjoyed staying at this very quiet and private ocean view property. Loved being so close to coastal paths where we had great views, good beach walking, the opportunity to see humpback whales out in the ocean, and harbor seals on the beach. The Moss Beach Distillery was a 5 minute walk from the house. Interesting historical building with a spectacular view, and very tasty fish tacos!!! We'll be back next time we come up to this area. 29 May 2016 - 01:39:00

17 June 2016 - 06:19:00

Great location for our few days stay. It provided us easy access to getting out for site seeing in San Francisco, Pacifica and Half Moon Bay. We liked the neighborhood was a quiet and secluded. As Chicagoans coming from a few days in San Jose, we weren't expecting it to be so cool, so be sure to bring clothes for layering when you are out and about. Appreciated the in person welcome and orientation too. Thank you. 01 August 2016 - 15:46:00

We really enjoyed our brief stay in the apartment, especially being able to escape the Sacramento valley heat. What was really neat was to be able to enjoy watching whales through the apartment window (when we weren't enjoying a walk). The place was very clean and comfortable. The only downside was our stay wasn't long enough to adequately enjoy the abundant library. 29 August 2016 - 18:37:00

Nice little cottage. Very quite and private. Very clean. If you are looking for a place to "disconnect" and rediscovery peace and serenity this is the place for you. A 2 minute walk to the ocean and hiking trails. The host was most helpful. We will definitely stay her again. 04 January 2016 - 02:31:00

Great location! Came to the area to see the Fare Thee Well Tour. Time in San Fran, Muir Woods and touring the local areas. Lovely spot!!! 30 June 2015 - 17:05:00

Our lives are very busy and hectic. For our anniversary getaway we wanted serene and beautiful and secluded but not remote. Nancy's place was all of that and more. You can see the ocean from a livingroom window. You can stroll the cliffs along the Pacific. A very nice restaurant is a five minute walk. The accommodations are lovely. We drove less than 10 miles to a beach in Pacifica and watched humpback whales go back and forth all afternoon. We drove a half hour to San Francisco and spent most of a day hanging out in Golden Gate Park. There are many nice places to eat within a short drive. Somewhere in the literature it mentions that weekend traffic is heavy on highway 1. This is true. Take this into account. If my description sounds like what you are looking for, I highly recommend Nancy's Suite! Thank you Nancy for your hospitality. 30 July 2016 - 04:34:00

We loved our stay and hope to be back! Thank you for sharing your place with us! Cannot think of anything we needed or wanted that was not there. Very nice! 22 January 2017 - 07:47:00

Very comfy apartment in a lovely area. Much closer to the sea than we realised... about 1 minute walk to a bench (it soon became 'my bench') overlooking the cliffs and an absolutely gorgeous view of the sea, seals and pelicans. Actual access down to the beach is about 15 minutes walk. It was very quiet and had a real away-from-it-all feel even though San Francisco is only a 30 minutes drive away. The Princeton end of Half Moon Bay is an easy walk mostly along coastal paths and takes about 30-40 mins. We liked the Old Princeton Landing, a locals' sports bar that Nancy thought was rough, but we enjoyed the casual ambience and very good, cheap seafood. The Moss Beach Distillery is only 10 minutes walk and more upmarket, also with very good food. And amazing views. We mostly pottered about locally, using buses and hired bikes. The coastal trail south from Half Moon Bay is wonderful. The local airfield was busy with light aircraft, but not intrusive or noisy. Actually, it was quite fun to see the small planes buzzing around. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We were glad to have access to Netflicks for viewing on the big screen TV whilst lounging on the comfy sofa and armchair and snuggling in the soft throws. The cooking facilities are very limited - a microwave and toasted sandwich maker - but that was as advertised, and a bit cramped. We got quite confused about what to do with our rubbish. Nancy put her dustbins out for us when we asked, but we weren't sure what went in each one, and where to put mixed rubbish, as it all seemed to be recycled. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this for one person or a couple. I think there is a sofa bed, but as access to the bathroom is through the bedroom, its for close family and friends only! 01 October 2016 - 17:37:38

Moss Beach is a very quite place (if that's what you are looking for). The Distillery is very close (walk) and a nice beach is just pass that. Everything else is a drive. Place is nice (not 5-star-- Ritz is 5 star), with acceptable appointments. Don't count on watching TV... if you are good at it, you can watch Netflix, but like all internet stuff, it too is not that reliable. 03 January 2017 - 20:22:00

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this property during a extended weekend trip recently. The owner Nancy provided good instructions and was very prompt in all communication with us. My husband's only feedback was that he would have appreciated an alternative method for making coffee such as a single cup Keurig coffee brewer. (or any other type of coffee maker) We both thought the bed was incredibly comfortable!!! Thanks for an enjoyable stay. 16 October 2017 - 21:26:00

I am a single Dad and took my two teenage daughters for a getaway after Thanksgiving. The house is in a fantastic location. Very small private quiet neighborhood. There's a trail right out door along the headlands where you can bike, run or walk all the way to the HMB harbor. A small beach is a few streets over and the distillery is in walking distance if you don't want to drive for dinner. 3 people were cozy 4 would be too tight. This is a great place to disconnect and relax. I plan on going back. Nancy was very helpful with places to eat etc. 03 December 2014 - 18:04:41

I stayed at this suite on my own over New Year's and I found what I had hoped it would be...peaceful, cozy, full of every comfort, and with easy access to the ocean. I appreciated that I could walk a few steps to the trail along the headlands or head a few minutes in the other direction for a visit to gorgeous Seal Cove Beach and the Fitzgerald Reserve. Because it was New Year's Eve, Nancy provided champagne and cookies. The suite was immaculate and there was a good amount of orientation info for the area. I found it quiet and relaxing. I hope to return later this year. 03 January 2015 - 21:29:11

We had a wonderful stay. Ride your bike right out the door and get on the bluff trails. You can ride all the way down the coast trail as well. Or head down to the harbor and paddle for a few hours. All three nights we just walked a few blocks over to Moss Beach Distillery. Great food, out door fire pits and a great view over Seal Cove. Then take a walk down to the beach and cove. The neighborhood is so nice and quiet. We will be back. 08 July 2015 - 15:46:17

I am a little late with this review, but we stayed at Nancy's cottage for three nights in mid-July. It is wonderful -- great location, very clean and quiet. I enjoyed my hikes to Fitzgerald Marine Reserve and on Pillar Point Bluffs. Also rode in the Devil's Slide charity bike ride while we were there, which was fabulous! We hope to return soon for another visit! We had three people in the cottage and it was perfect. Loved the quiet neighborhood and being able to walk to Moss Beach Distillery for dinner! 31 August 2015 - 19:50:44

A friend and I booked Nancy's place for a weekend getaway and it was tons of fun! There are many walking trails with gorgeous views of the ocean just steps from Nancy's front door (we saw whales breaching as we were walking along). Nancy maintained good communication with us during our stay and she provided a binder with useful information about local sites. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on. The place is comfy and nicely decorated. I would be happy to go back and I would recommend this place to other travelers. A few things to be aware of... Both beds are futons. They were a little firm for my taste, but my friend was fine with it, so it just depends on your preference. Also, there is a TV but no TV service. You have to bring your own entertainment. Not a problem for me, but something to be aware of. 22 November 2015 - 06:32:10
