About listing

Located in the old centre of Amsterdam, at walking distance to nearly every tourist attraction and surrounded by public transport. YOUR ROOM: Our family 3 (-5)p room is a spacious room on the first floor. It has lots of daylight and a French balcony overlooking the innergardens which provides each morning a soft concert of small whistling birds. The room has a private en-suite bathroom, a dining table for 5p, private coffee/tea facilities and free access to our Wifi-network. There are 3 separate hotel beds. 2 next to each other and a third one in a more or less separate corner divided from the room by a thin curtain. The fourth (extra & adult-)bed is on the wall above the third. On Mon.>Fri. a lovely Dutch breakfast is included and served to the quiet privacy of your room. The ‘Jordaan-area’ is a dense patch of small-scale streets and canals peppered with interesting shops, galleries, charming 'hofjes' and inviting brown cafes. Quirky and characterful, with an intimate, easy-going atmosphere of it's own. It was built for workers even before the 'Grachtengordel' (Canal-rings) were completed. OUR SERVICE INCLUDES: On your day of arrival on request: - bringing luggage already as early as 8:00 a.m. - free early check-in already as early as 11:00 - late check-in until 1 hour after midnight On your day of departure: - for your (early) departure we can arrange a trustable, normal, cheap taxi to the airporttaxi when needed - leaving luggage for later is, usually, possible BREAKFAST& QUESTIONS: - On Mon.> Fri. a lovely Dutch breakfast is included and served to the privacy of your room. We offer local breads, cheeses, meats (cold-cuts), jams, orange-juice etc. (If you prefer cereals or a vegetarian breakfast please let us know in advance). - While serving breakfast I, Charlotte (host& owner), always have plenty of time to answer your questions or, on request, suggest things to do or places to eat. Also on any other hour of the day and in the weekends you are welcome to contact me. - For breakfast on Saturday and Sunday we offer a list of nice places surrounding our B&B where you can have a lovely breakfast. For that reason we offer a the same room-rate all week through. - We try to offer a good balance between privacy, attention and help. I do speak several languages (English, French, German, Dutch and a little Spanish and Portuguese) and know Amsterdam well. I’m looking forward to share this knowledge with you. EXTRA BEDS OR A BABY COT: - For a 4th person we will prepare the higher bed. - For a 5th person we will add an extra mattress. It will come including everything: cover, sheets, pillow, towel, extra chair & breakfast mon.>fri. But please realize that it will be on the floor. (So you can place it against the wall during the day.) A bed is obligatory starting from 2 years old and the price is 15 eur/n (excl. 5% city tourist tax) with a minimum of 2 nights. If your 4th or 5th person is a child (<4y/<110cm) you can reserve a babycot (120cm) to be added after you made a reservation for 3 or 4 persons. IT WAS VERY GOOD LOCATED, AT JORDAANS QUARTIER, VERY NEAR FROM A LOT OF MUSEUMS AND ATTRACTIONS. THE SERVICE WAS GOOD BUT THE ROOM FOR 5 PERSONS A LITTLE BIT SMALL, BUT WE KNEW IT, NORMALLY IS FOR 4 PERSONS. CHARLOTTE, THE OWNER, VERY KIND AND AVAILABLE TO ASK OUR QUESTIONS. I RECOMMEND IT. 22 June 2017 - 12:18:00

The upstairs room fit 3 of us comfortably. The room was large enough for our family of 7, who were staying in the two other rooms available, to eat breakfast together each morning. The room had nice views overlooking the garden and a nearby community playground. It was very quiet and peaceful. Charlotte was very helpful in answering any questions and offering suggestions on local restaurants and transportation. We all enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back. 06 July 2017 - 16:54:00

We were really pressed to find accommodation for a family of 5 and we were so pleased to get the family room, with the understanding that one would have to sleep on a mattress on the floor. It was not a problem. The location was ideal as it allowed us to fan out and bike all over the city. The beds were comfortable and clean. If you are from the US, prepare yourself, because we aren't used to having the shower above our sinks. But it was manageable. Very quiet; we never heard any of the other guests. And Charlotte was a delightful host: organized, considerate, and very welcoming. Every morning, as promised, she delivered a fabulous breakfast of meats, cheeses, breads, OJ...and we made our own coffee and tea in the room. It spoiled us. My kids are talking about their next visit. Thank you, Charlotte. 09 July 2017 - 23:51:00
