We stayed at Cora's apartment for a week in August. We were in 5 people and there was room for everyone. The apartment was very close to the tube which took us anywhere in town'. Cora was always available and useful for any kind of information required by us. as I said .... just perfect! 29 August 2016 - 08:52:46

Best decision to rent a apartment and cora's apartment is really comfortable with nice decoration (we love books and pictures). Nice neighborhood, quiet, and good restaurants and shops around. 5' walk from subway and 20' with subway to manhattan. We had some problems to get tickets for a concert at beacon theatre an she helped us in a very unexpected way! 23 April 2016 - 09:56:00

29 June 2017 - 16:39:00

Found all the necessary elements for breakfast: a nice attention for the first day. It was nice also to find plenty of books in the apartment. The proprietor, Cora, is very helpful and ready to answer all questions although She was away during our stay. Only drawback: if you are there to visit Manhattan, it is a little far away: just count the subway stations! But you can balance that with the price which is quite reasonable for the quality and charm of the place and the helpfulness of the hostess. 22 August 2017 - 07:12:00

Great place to stay in Brooklyn. Clean flat with all amenities and comfortable sleeping beds. Nice street close to the cool Brunswick cafe and some amazing Italian at a nice resto near by. Close to metro. Very friendly family. We felt safe. I would recommend this place. 28 October 2014 - 14:23:14

Great place to stay if you want to spend some time in New York City. The apartment was clean with all the amenities you need. The subway is less than 5 minutes away and you can be in Manhattan in half an hour. There were some nice restaurants and markets nearby. The owners were very friendly. I would recommend this place and would not hesitate to stay here again. 07 January 2015 - 02:13:57

The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs. The apartment handles four people rather comfortably. It was clean, bright, and a very short walk from a local subway line into Manhattan. I recommend that you consider this option for your next trip into New York. 26 February 2015 - 13:18:41

Three of us stayed at this beautiful brownstone in Brooklyn for a week in March. The communication between us and the owners was smooth from enquiry to post stay. We were welcomed into the house and stayed in the self-contained, top floor flat with enough room for all of us to have our own beds and our own space, in our own rooms. Any issues and they are on hand via phone and email to help resolve the. We were told about place to go during our stay, yet we were relaxed and able to do our own thing. A 1 minute walk to the metro station meant easy access to everywhere in the city 24hrs a day. These are wonderful, helpful people in a lovely neighbourhood with friendly, chatty people (probably also intrigued by our English and Irish accents). I will definitely keep them in mind for the next visit 03 May 2015 - 01:55:08

This is a beautiful Brownstone apartment full of original features and personal touches. It was quiet, comfortable and welcoming. The owner, Cora, was very accommodating and was always available to assist and advise during our stay. In addition, Cora also allowed us to be flexible with our arrival and departure times. The apartment is in a exciting part of Brooklyn, that despite gentrification still retains all the original flavour that we were hoping for. Cora provided us with plenty of information on local shops and eateries, of which there are plenty. It was also convenient for Manhattan, as it's only 15 minutes away on the C line. The subway itself being a two-minute walk from the apartment. We would definitely stay here again. 01 June 2015 - 19:56:17

On the positive side: The price was reasonable for NYC. The subway is very close. The owners were on site and very responsive. Cora was helpful with finding us a car rental (Avis) that we could pick the car up at JFK and drop it off at a parking structure near by. Her husband came up with a fan and then bought a new one when it broke. For four people the unit was comfortable, it would be pretty cramped for 6. On the down side: We arrived during a heat wave and the unit was very warm since the AC was not on prior to our arrival. One of the air conditioners was free standing and very loud and we had to keep it on all night next to the bed. The pictures of the unit make it look nicer and newer than it is. This is not the "cool, hip" part of Brooklyn. But we had no problems and felt safe. The main bed could use a new mattress as well as some nicer towels. The bathroom had used soaps and could have been cleaner. 02 July 2015 - 02:37:40

It was our first time at NY. And coras Flattern was the best point to start our Daily tours. The train was so near by and we got to Manhattan in a very short while. 04 August 2015 - 04:07:55

We had a great stay at this property. Cora was very helpful and everything was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and parking was safe and easy. Subway was just around the corner and lots of places to choose from for that evening stroll and dinner. Would definitely stay here again. 20 September 2015 - 22:19:14

My husband and I came to New York for one last hurrah before our first child is born and we enjoyed this apartment very much. It was quite spacious for the two of us! The area is generally quiet and I felt very safe. There are many local shops and eateries in the area. We especially liked "Green Gourmet Market" and "Peaches." The Subway is a 5 minute walk from the apartment which was invaluable to us. It's a 30 minute Subway ride to Times Square. Cora and her husband are wonderful too! Please know, this apartment is a third-flood walk-up, so get comfortable taking the stairs! :) 29 September 2015 - 21:33:07

this place was great for us. Everything was within easy reach, the first time we ventured out we were a little uneasy but our fears were immediately abated and we felt very comfortable. We went for a walk that evening. It was a great time because on the streets were parties, an absolutely fantastic experience with the locals, music, singing and dancing. (I joined in a little) we stopped and ate at the Saraginhna bar/ resturaunt, superb food and service. The subway is on the door step, took a couple of rides to get the gist of it all. A little tip, pay attention to the stations, White dot, Black dots and to what train stops where and wear comfy shoes there's a lot of walking when you hit the spots. I would strongly recommend this apartment for a safe, quiet, and wonderful base. I'd like to thank Cora and family for letting us stay in this gem of a place. One hiccup that I should mention. If you have car pay particular attention to parking times, although a lovely quite road with parking spaces easy, there are resrictions on cleaning days. I got a ticket on our very last hour of our stay. No-ones fault but my own I hasten to say! Cora, a little mention in your welcome pack would be great help to future overseas visitors Once again THANK YOU 17 October 2015 - 13:01:45

The location of the home is very close to the subway. We used the subway the entire time of our stay so it made it very easy for us. There is plenty of room for a family. The only down fall was the 3 flights of stairs but after the 2nd day I did get used to them. If we return to New York we will definitely stay here again. 30 November 2015 - 17:44:02
