About listing

Our two-bedroom, two-bath corner apartment is in the 7th Arrondissement. It is perfectly suited for those guests who are looking for extraordinary charm and comfort. It is a perfect apartment for couples, solo travelers, business visitors, and families (with kids). The apartment features beautiful flooring, tastefully detailed décor and many large windows that offer plenty of light, spectacular street views and cross ventilation for cooling on summer days. Guests enjoy opening the windows to feel the heartbeat of the city. Relax in the living room with a glass of wine or aperitif while enjoying a conversation, listening to music or reading. Our shelves are filled with many interesting books. You will appreciate the full spacious kitchen, dining, and living rooms. Most of all, you'll experience the feeling of having your very own home in Paris. The apartment is a block from Rue Cler. This cobblestone street and pedestrian market has some of the most notable food and wine shops Paris. It also is just a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, River Seine (left bank), Les Invalides, Napoleon's Tomb, Musee Rodin, Musee de l'Armee, Metro-Ecole Militaire, Bus Routes 69, 80, 92, and many wonderful parks and restaurants. We have designed each bedroom with your comfort and relaxation in mind. In your room you will find heaters for those colder evenings, space for unpacking your belongings, and decorative touches we hope you enjoy. A robe is provided for each guest. We use high quality French linens on our beds. The master bathroom features a two person claw foot tub and hand-held shower. The second bathroom features a walk in shower. Both bathrooms have heated towel racks. You will find soap and shampoo for your use. Our kitchen is fully equipped with easily accessible appliances so that you can cook as though you were in your own home. NEIGHBORHOOD AND SURROUNDING AREA Those looking for a quintessential Parisian dining experience should make a reservation at nearby La Fontaine de Mars | 129 Rue Saint-Dominique. An evening picnic on the Parc du Champ Mars in front of the Eiffel Tower also is great after shopping at Rue Cler specialty delis, boulangeries, wine and cheese shops. Visit L'Eglise du Dôme, part of Les Invalides, and pay homage to one of France's most well recognized figures at the tomb of Napoleon. Be captivated by both the personal work and art collection of Auguste Rodin at the Musee Rodin. Picking up where the Louvre leaves off; discovering the Musee d'Orsay is a spectacular way to experience one of the largest displays of Impressionist art in the world. Wander up Avenue Rapp to admire no.29 which was designed by architect Jules Lavirotte. In 1901, it won the Paris city design of the year award. Antique lovers should head over to rue de Beaune and rue de Verneuil which is like stepping back in time. Browse the many antique shops and galleries displaying century old treasures. The river walk along the left bank of the Seine from Pont de Lama to Musee Orsay is a must, an excellent example of urban renewal (it was a former industrial area and road on the river) converted for recreation and gathering. For an alternative perspective of the City of Light, look no further than Les Egouts de Paris. A tour of the Parisian sewer system is a unique and interesting way to learn more about the infrastructure of the city. Enjoy a glass of wine at dusk at L'Esplanade at the corner of rue de Grenelle and rue Fabert while watching the sun set over the golden dome of Les Invalides. Unwind from the stress of the big city by strolling through the Jardin de Babylone. Relax in this beautiful orchard after a long day touring the city. Don't miss one of the most impressive bridges in Paris: Le Pont Alexandre III. Sporting sculptures of cherubs, the nymphs Seine and Neva, a Pegasus, and four golden statues it celebrates friendship between France and Russia. Strolling through the neighborhoods and parks of Paris is one of life's great pleasures. And when you want to go further or get their more quickly, take the metro, bus or Velib bikes that are available within three blocks of the apartment. BUS ROUTES: Paris has the best and most comprehensive municipal bus system in the world. Using the bus is the best way to know Paris and to get your bearings! Its system is frequent and serves every neighborhood. You can familiarize yourself with bus routes by consulting maps posted at any bus stop or Metro station. Pocket-sized maps are distributed free at the Metro. A superb guide to the system is Paris Bus, a pocket-sized booklet available at many bookstores. Helpful routes from the apartment are the 69 (one block away on rue Saint-Dominique), the 80 and 92 (both at Bosquet, just steps away). There is a copy of these bus routes in the apartment handbook. METRO: As with buses, Paris has the world's best and most comprehensive underground railway system. It is fast, frequent, easily navigated and inexpensive. However, keep in mind that one sees nothing but other Metro passengers, and the air is never fresh. Visitors who use only the Metro will have trouble getting to know Paris. WALK OR RIDE A BIKE Walk a lot and/or ride the Velib bikes. Paris begins to shrink when you are on foot or a bike. While the metro and buses can take you anywhere you miss a lot, it still is the best walking and bike riding city around.

What a lovely time here... so clean, all amenities you could need (except drier) - but a laundromat is across the street, so kind to have wine and fruit for us... wifi worked great! Superb location with metro, market, restaurants, etc. it was a warm 4 days, by with the windows open and the fans, it was fine. I would highly recommend this lovely apartment, kind and super-helpful owner, clean, and fairly quiet apartment. Have to go up many stairs to get to apartment, so keep that in mind if large luggage,. Tres bien! Merci!!! 11 July 2017 - 20:17:00

We enjoyed the flat. Beds were comfortable and the location was great to take in the Eiffle Tower - esp the fireworks on Bastille Day. Transit is close by as well as the markets on the Rue Cler. 17 July 2017 - 08:19:00

The apartment was so beautifully decorated and completely stocked with everything you would need whether you are staying 3 days or 3 weeks. Absolutely immaculate and perfect location. 22 July 2017 - 09:55:00

The Millers & Crawfords arrived in Paris for an eight day tripe without luggage and frankly had just about everything we needed. Not only was the apartment located in an ideal area but it was completely furnished and anointed with all the needed essentials. Thankfully luggage arrived the next day but we didn't miss a beat. They even had 4 umbrellas for our walk in the rain.. There was milk, eggs, snacks coffee, and even a nice bottle of wine. The four of use have stayed in many nice apartments across Europe but this one far out classed all the others. It's obvious the owners also travel and have a real feeel for what travelers need. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Newell Crawford 12 May 2017 - 10:54:00

Our stay in the Rue Clare neighborhood was wonderful. We arrived ahead of the appointed check-in, but were greeted warmly and allowed to drop our bags and received a nice "orientation" of the apartment. Two hours later, still ahead of the agreed upon check-in, we were welcomed back and given the apartment. From there it only got better. The location is ideal; near two Metro stops, three small grocery stores and of course the Rue Clare market, restaurants and cafes. The apartment is ideal with two baths and bedrooms and a generous living and dining area, plus a fully complimented kitchen - just right for parents with two teenage girls. And it's clean and so beautifully decorated - a quintisential Paris apartment. We enjoyed the warm atmosphere and took advantage of the amenities to make small meals and enjoy the espresso machine. Having been to Paris and the Rue Clare neighborhood before, we knew our way around, but having this wonderful apartment in the heart of it all was delightful. As we ventured out each day we knew that when we returned we'd find a relaxing and cozy respite from a full day's worth of activities. If you're planning a trip to Paris, you would be wise to enjoy this little slice of the 7th Arrondissement - do yourself a favor and rent Rue Clare Charm. Jay and Deborah 24 April 2017 - 22:42:00

The location is terrific. Only one block away from Rue Cler and a straight shot on Rue de Grenelle over to the Champs du Mars to view the Eiffel Tower. Easy walking distance to the Metro. The apartment is beautiful and well-appointed. The owners have provided so many little touches to make weary travelers feel right at home - coffee, milk, juice, fruit, laundry and dishwashing supplies as well as a bottle of wine were all there waiting for us. We were met by the very friendly and helpful housekeeper who made sure that we were all set and that we were successfully connected tot he WiFi before she left us. We really appreciated the care and thoughtfulness that went into these welcoming preparations. 09 September 2017 - 07:17:00

Lovely, comfortable apartment. It was well stocked with a welcome bottle of wine, fresh fruit, coffee, milk, eggs, juice etc. Convenient location in the 7th. Smooth "check in" with owner's representative. Lots of helpful info regarding the area. 13 September 2017 - 17:06:00

We spent 4 nights with another couple at this charming apartment. It was in a great location and well stocked and attractively furnished. I'm giving 4 stars rather than 5 because the second bathroom was very cramped and the shower was not draining well. When I reported it to the property manager she seemed to already be aware of it, so I don't know if it's a temporary problem or a chronic issue. But overall it was a very good stay. 27 September 2017 - 19:50:00

The apartment was beautiful, had a city feel to it for sure. Roberta had the house perfectly appointed for us from leaving us a lovely bottle of wine, cookies on the counter and milk in the fridge. Her team took care of every need we had. This area is near the Eiffel tower and other great sightseeing opportunities. 29 September 2017 - 19:19:00

The apartment felt like home from the moment we entered it. We especially loved having the fresh fruit, Madeleine's and wine waiting for us when we arrived! We were welcomed by Olive, who made sure the kitchen was well-stocked for us and that we had everything we needed. She also helped us connect to wifi before leaving, which we greatly appreciated. The apartment was clean, beautifully decorated and designed for comfort. The beds were comfortable and both bathrooms were sparkling clean and well-designed. We were within walking distance to many sights and there were many wonderful shops and bistros close by. It is an apartment that we would love to call our own. We will definitely stay here for all future trips to Paris! 20 September 2017 - 16:30:00

The apartment was comfortable and well maintained. The two bedrooms were perfect for me, my wife and our two teenagers. While we never ate in, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you'd need to dine in. The location was close to the Eiffel Tower, restaurants, and markets. We had fresh squeezed orange juice each morning from a market that was just steps away. We also found it a nice walk to other sites such as the Louvre, d'Orsay, and it was super close to the Musee Rodin. While overall our stay was very pleasant, there are a few things to note: 1) Check in time was at 4PM. We arrived at around 6 and the person who greeted us was still cleaning the apartment. While he let us in, he continued to clean for about an hour after we arrived. 2) Expect a lot of noise. While the apartment is not located on a busy street, there were cars and motorcycles racing up and down the street and people parting close by each night we were there. This lasted until about 4 in the morning. 3) The second bathroom is very, very small. The shower barley fits a small person. While the claw footed tub in the other bathroom is very nice, the only stand up shower option is the small shower in the second bathroom. 18 August 2017 - 16:27:00

From the moment the housekeeper welcomed us as we arrived, we began to feel at home. The amenities more than met our needs and we were so appreciative of the welcoming wine and fruit. The variety of artwork adorning the walls was obviously chosen with great care. Bedrooms very comfortable, and the master bath a real treat with the lg. tub. Washer and heated towel racks worked well for our minimal laundry. The apt was a most welcome refuge for us as we returned home from our daily adventures. The nearby street, rue Cler, was enjoyed immensely. The wine and cheese stores, along with the prepared food markets, provided delectable treat for us to enjoy in your beautiful apt. We are most thankful to the owners for sharing their lovely place with us. We miss it very much, after returning home to California. Merci beaucoup... 04 November 2017 - 18:29:00
  14. This was just like staying in a boutique hotel--BUT WAY BETTER. It's a quiet building in the middle of everything. Incredibly nice neighborhood. Bakery right across the street that we went to every morning. Tons of restaurants, shops and close to the metro for sightseeing. The apartment itself was so lovely, with comfortable beds, high-end sheets, upgraded bathroom with claw foot tub, expensive feeling towels, etc. And of course, unlike a boutique hotel a full kitchen after a day spent at the markets. Very luxurious, yet comfortable. I could almost pretend we lived there (I wish!). 10 October 2016 - 20:26:43

This apartment truly embodies all the magic that Paris has to offer! It's location right in the heart of the city left no shortage of local shops and fine cuisine. Not to mention how easy it was to explore the city landmarks on foot, right from the front door! The authentic decor of the apartment truly made the experience, we felt like we were living like locals. I would highly recommend this very comfortable and spacious Paris apartment to anyone looking to have a memorable experience in this wonderful city! 13 October 2016 - 19:34:13

When we arrived to the apartment in Paris it was far more than what we expected. We had just come from Barcelona and the apartment there was cramped and ill stocked unlike the Fraese apartment. When we arrived there we fresh linens and towels throughout the apartment. Fresh fruit was laid out on the table. There was coffee tea milk and juice. This made our first day in Paris so easy. Madame Fraese has thought of everything to make your stay like you were at home. She has a fully stocked kitchen, laundry room , videos, dvd's , a wide assortment of book. She has spared no expense and thought of everything. This apartment is so charming and lovely. My daughters and I will truly look back on our trip to Paris with fond memories. 12 February 2017 - 01:24:32
  18. The Fraese apartment in Paris was truly a delight. Whether we were up and out seeking adventure in the city, or staying in to cook the food we had purchased at the local markets, the apartment complimented it all. A real home away from home. Booking again soon! 11 February 2017 - 19:51:00

Our stay in the apartment was about 8 days. We used the driver that was suggested by the Fraese Family. He was very prompt and helpful. It worked out beautifully. There are few stairs to go up to the apt. door...but, very gentle. Upon arrival, the housekeeper met with us to discuss details of staying in the apt., and to give us the keys and answer questions. Walking into the apt. is a delight...with wine awaiting, flowers, bon bons, and snacks, including fruit. Many books to read, travel info for Paris, CD's and other music, WiFi, and interesting views from the windows (it's a corner apt.) of the street and beyond. The beautiful Art Nouveau furniture pieces were stunning, very comfortable, and inviting. Origninal art pieces everywhere. Two bathrooms were inviting with attention to details such as heated towel racks and robes. Spacious bathroom with mirrors and art work that is outstanding. Clocks in the bedroom show Paris time as well as Seattle time!! TV in Master bedroom worked well with many channels including CNN. The kitchen provided all the ware that we needed, and we did prepare our breakfasts and one dinner that included escargot (snails.) Frig was handy as well as the laundry washer (however, we found washing out things by hand worked well, as they dried in no time on the heated towel racks.) Going out, the cash machine is just around the corner on Rue Cler, as well as all the shops for anyfood that you can imagine! All beautifully displayed and a treat for your eyes as well as for your taste. Restaurants, too, just everywhere. We especially like Tribeca on Rue Cler for the pate and cheese...very quiet and cozy. We used bus transportation in front on Rue Grenelle, and the metro we used most was Ecole Militaire. Ask questions everywhere...people are quite helpful and friendly. One can walk to many landmarks and museums. Walking in Paris you see so much. Don't forget to sign the Guest Book...and read what others have written. We had the BEST time!!! We are ready to right back and see more! Just walk out the green doors, and there you have it!!! Exciting Paris, once again! 23 February 2017 - 00:01:00

Ok, after three visits, and three enjoyable stays, I guess it is time to sing the praises. This apartment in the 7th offers the extended stay visitor room, comfort, convenience, and LOCATION! On the left bank, between, the Eiffel Tower (a nightly five minute walk to see the lights and join the city) and Les Invalides (Napoleons tomb), everything is here. The daily market literally at the corner, all transportation walk, bike, bus, and the Metro restaurants, shops, etc., all here. The small scale building makes it feel as though you have your own apartment. A great base for touring the City and the country, and also spacious enough to host evening cocktails with friends and visitors, or even an anniversary (like we did). Bon Voyage. 08 March 2017 - 01:03:00
