About listing

The studio is situated in the heart of Saint Germain de Pres in a sixteen century historical building in a calm small street in the middle of the lively Latin quarter. The balcony of the studio overlooks the main courtyard of the building. There is a code to get into the building. Inside you will find an open kitchen with an under the counter a refrigerator, 2 cooking stove, a microwave, dishwasher and laundry machine. You will appreciate the calm of an historical building and the close living area with everything you need. Grocery, art gallery, restaurants, monuments, Notre Dame, Saint Michel, the Louvre etc. The studio has a very comfortable sleeping bed, TV with cable, internet and WiFi. A nice dressing is situated before the bathroom access. The bathroom has a comfortable large shower, WC, bidet. The top counters of the kitchen and the bathroom are in black granite from Zimbabwe and the floor is old oak. A large fire place from the sixteen century was conserved by the architect as well as the mirror on the top of it. You can dine on a round oak ancient table with 4 people, and in the summer days you can have a coffee on the balcony among the flowers.

This is a beautiful little flat. Extremely clean and in the heart of everything. My daughter and I stayed here and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed the terrace drinking coffee and the wonderful shower. Thank you for making our Paris trip so enjoyable. Vitoria was great! 15 June 2014 - 03:37:31

You can't go wrong - this apartment is right in the heart of all the action: Great restaurants, markets, metro, Notre Dame, the Seine, the Louvre and more. The pull out couch was very comfortable and the nice big shower is hard to find in Europe. The only downside is that you have to pay with cash and not use a credit card which means you have to travel with cash or get it when you are there plus pay a security deposit in cash - which we got back. Overall - I highly recommend it!! 27 June 2014 - 10:27:39

After spending 10 wonderful days at this apartment, we heartily recommend it for a single person, or as in our case, a couple. The apartment itself, though small, is wonderfully appointed, with washing machine, espresso machine, and all that you may need. The terrace is a delight: breakfast amongst the plants, evenings cooling off. The bathroom is beautiful, with a fabulous, large updated shower. The convertible bed/sofa is easy to manage and surprisingly comfortable. All in all, a great apartment. The location can not be beat. St. Germain/St. Michel is a lively area with much to do and see. Most major sites are walkable and if not, there are several Metro lines accessible nearby. Vittoria and her mother were helpful, kind and were available if needed. Finally, we recommend Cafe Calde, 2 blocks away as a restaurant with excellent food, a very convivial atmosphere and a wonderful owner. Thanks to Vittoria and her mother for making this apartment available. 04 August 2014 - 18:56:03

This is a sweet little spot smack dab in the middle of Paris. The apartment is small, but considerably roomier and a much better value than a Parisian hotel room! It looks just like the photos, is very clean, really quiet and the bed is super comfortable. (I know I had to wonder about a pull out bed, but seriously, it is was great!) Vittoria did an wonderful job designing this apartment and stocking it with all the comforts you might need to make your stay pleasant and easy. The shower is amazing. We didnt cook but it has a well equipped kitchen. The balcony terrace is a plus as we loved having a quiet glass of wine at the little table out there. The location can't be beat! We were able to take the train from CDG airport and only had to walk a couple of blocks to our apartment. The metro 5 minutes away as are many places to eat and shop. It was so nice to be in the middle of everything, yet have such a quiet and special spot to land each night. We give this experience 5 stars and look forward to hopefully returning the next time we come to Paris. Thank you Vittoria! 07 October 2014 - 23:46:17

This apartment was perfect for my wife and I. We had been to Paris before but couldn't have been more pleased with this studio apartment and it's location. Everything was done to make our stay enjoyable. I left a few belongings in the apartment that were gladly shipped back to me in California. Highly recommended!! 20 November 2014 - 19:47:55
  6. The apartment is in a perfect location, easy to walk to many landmarks. It is very cute, but a little bit smaller than I had expected. Loved feeling like a local in Paris! 20 November 2014 - 22:10:52

We have no hesitations about recommending this perfect Parisian apartment and hope to return again some day. The location is faultless: in a lively community, close to the Metro and within walking distance of many of Paris' attractions. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, it had all the amenities we needed including a roomy patio. We found the bed to be more comfortable than our own at home and slept great. We still daydream about our wonderful trip and we couldn't have imagined a better place to stay while we were in Paris. 20 November 2014 - 18:14:51

The apartment was in the perfect location, close to the metro and an easy walk to great sights and shopping. The little terrace was a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine at dusk. The flat was well appointed and a perfect use of space. We were a little concerned about the fold out bed but found it to be very comfortable. 03 May 2015 - 00:49:41

We stayed at the apartment for one week in May. We agree with most of the other reviews. The location is excellent-within two short blocks of Place St. Michel but on a quiet residential street. If you want to be on the Left Bank, and who doesn't, you could not do better. The apartment itself is up a narrow winding staircase, and it is indeed small. It has been completely renovated and modernized but retains the ancient charm. In order to pull out the bed, you have to move the only chair and push aside your luggage, but the bed operates easily and is very comfortable for a pull-out. The bathroom and shower quality have not been overstated. It may be the best shower in Paris. The terrace was probably overrated, at least for us. We couldn't use it much because of the weather, but it is a very small useable space and it overlooks a car park courtyard, so that's not ideal. We love the location and other amenities so much that we definitely recommend it. 06 May 2015 - 14:48:54

This charming studio apartment was our base for 12 days of an active Paris visit. A quiet and real apartment at the heart of the city. We enjoyed walking about the main sites and used the nearby St Michel metro stop to explore far and wide. Clean, modernized and comfortable; the "best shower" comments are true! Vittoria is a consummate owner who ensured a positive arrival, experience and departure. We would happily return. 11 July 2015 - 12:17:24

I arrived in the middle of a heat wave and Vittoria provided a fan within a few hours. The apartment is stunning, with innovative design maximizing space everywhere you turn. The balcony is gorgeous, and the rooftop and courtyard views from each window equally so, especially when you consider there is only a single and very short flight of stairs to climb. Fantastic location, but tucked away on a tiny, insider street. A gem. I will stay here every time I'm in Paris, if I'm lucky. 22 July 2015 - 22:56:44

Vittoria manages this little apartment very well, with good communication and flexibility. This was important to us, as we arrived about an hour later than our appointed time due to airline and train delays. The apartment is located perfectly a block from the Seine, within easy walking distance to Notre Dame and Musee D'Orsay. It is located in a gated courtyard that is very quiet in the evening, yet only steps to the busy Latin Quarter as well as the wonderful cafes and restaurants of St. Germaine. We were sad that we were only there three nights, as we walked by SO many places we wanted to try! The apartment is very small, but really, just enough if you don't plan to do more than sleep and rest in between adventures (and meals.) I was worried about the comfort of the Queen-sized pull out couch/bed because we sleep on a king at home, and I'm hard to please when it comes to a mattress (think Princess and the Pea), but I'm very happy to say that it was very comfortable, and seemed larger than some queen beds we've slept on. Only downfall is having to fold it up and stash linens each morning to allow for floor space and a comfy place to sit (but it was easily done!) The kitchen is galley style, efficient and modern. There is a good espresso machine, little fridge, and stovetop - all we needed. The bathroom is nice, great shower, and the towel warmer was nice to have - we had some chilly, rainy weather. The little balcony was nice to have ( in fact, I specifically looked for a place with one-not an easy find in this price range!) although, as I said we had a fair amount of rain, so didn't get as much enjoyment from it as we'd have liked. This is a perfect alternative to a hotel, and again, location is unbelievably great! Because we only had three days before heading the Burgundy, we are already thinking about our next trip to Paris, and we hope Vittoria's place is available! 20 September 2015 - 11:23:39

My husband and I were recalling favorite memories from our 8 night stay in Paris. Staying in this apartment was our favorite. So cozy, bed comfortable and easy to operate, loved the balcony even on a rainy day because we had a view of the pretty courtyard and plants outside the window. We cooked dinner for our daughter and son-in-law and enjoyed having them visit us in this lovely apartment. The area is perfect and we would rent this place next time we visit Paris. Vittoria was easy to reach and work with. We love walkable cities and this area is it for us! 07 October 2015 - 13:09:37

My husband and I were so lucky to be able to stay in this amazing apartment during our honeymoon in Paris this fall. From the first time I saw pictures of Vittoria's apartment to the moment I walked through the front door, I knew this was the perfect place to call "home" during our vacation. The apartment has been renovated so beautifully...many original details remain including the rough-hewn ceiling beams and gorgeous French doors and they are juxtaposed to modern spaces like the efficient kitchen and modern bathroom. The apartment is just the right size for two...its spaces are perfectly efficient and the shower is the best you will find in Europe! The location could not have been better suited either. We were able to easily sight see around the city, walking to Notre Dame, the Louvre, Luxembourg Gardens and many other places and we were able to catch the Metro and RER trains just a couple blocks away at Place St Michel to see the Paris Flea Market, Versailles and return to the airport. Vittoria's hospitality was spot on, even greeting us with flowers and champagne...a gift from our friends in the US. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and I can guarantee you the next time I'm in Paris, I'll be staying here! 28 October 2015 - 19:33:02

The location was perfect to explore the Latin Quarter restaurants and specialty shops. The apartment was great for a short stay of3 or 4 nights, but found for a longer stay there was no place for luggage. The bed was very comfortable and very easy to set up and down. Tess was great and very acommodating as we stayed at the apartment twice on this visit. The bathroom was great and what a pleasure to have warm towels after your shower I would really recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to explore the Latin Quarter. 19 November 2015 - 18:59:31

Enjoyed staying here, owner was very helpful and polite. Stayed here by myself, there is everything you need, why would anyone stay in a hotel whe you have such charm places. Great experience! 30 March 2017 - 15:06:00

Just as pictured! Small quaint apartment, with a comfortable feel that provides you that authentic Parisian-living experience! All amenities provided, excellent bathroom, bed comfortable, great neighbors, and upscale adjoining flats! It was magical to look across and see the neighbors decorating their Christmas trees, and we even made room for a tiny Paris sized Christmas tree in front of the fireplace! Great stay! Thanks for sharing and allowing us this one of kind experience! 21 December 2017 - 15:39:00

My wife and I stayed 5 weeks in the Apartment From mid-Sept. to mid-Oct. Vittoria is a wonderful host a very nice person and leaves so many little-unexpected things including a small bottle of Champagne we enjoyed. She also is available by internet with any questions during your stay and very prompt in reply. While it is small it has everything you need. The bed while I was worried it was a sofa bed I need not have worried as it was very comfortable like sleeping on a regular thick mattress. The TV worked fine with plenty of channels and on a pull-out swivel so you could watch TV from bed if you wanted. The Internet important to me for keeping up with my monthly bills and banking worked flawlessly. The Dining table was as pictured and the bathroom was a luxury beautiful with a great shower. The Kitchen also small two burners electric there is an exhaust fan, little fridge fine, and microwave. I love to cook and we did about half of the time as I love the ingredients and farmers market in Paris. With a bit of juggling, I put out some great meals including Dover Sole lemon butter sauce sauteed potatoes and Mash Salade also a Veal Chop with sauteed mushrooms and creme fresh sauce to name a few dishes I did challenging but can be done. One hint you need to pick up a 12 " pan to go along with what is there if you try this kind of cooking. Most I do not think will cook like this so everything is there most people will need. There is a small washing machine no dryer but I found I did not bother because just 2 blocks away easy to find is a laundromat very clean every size machine big dryers and easy to use depending on your need about 10 euro and you're done in no time. The apartment is close to the seine easy walk to the Louvre or Notre-Dame go the other way and you are close to restaurants and Saint Germain Odeon. You have it all not far away and things that are far away the bus and metro are just a couple blocks away. We enjoyed the apartment very much and felt very safe and secure there. We thank Vittoria for her hospitality and cute apartment and seeing to it that our stay was even more memorable. David & Ginette New York U.S.A 07 November 2017 - 01:17:00

This apartment has everything you need to feel at home while your in Paris. Shower and bathroom were great. Kitchen usable space. The sofa bed was comfortable enough. The pictures make it seem a little bigger and the owner could eliminate 3 or 4 of the chairs in the space to help out it's small size. It's a great little place but smaller than what is in the picture. The patio outside is over grown with plants and not really usable space. Dear owner, maybe a picture of the patio now so you could see what it really looks like. The location of this unit is great, the building around it is being renovated and lots of trucks and noise during the week. Close to lots of places to eat and drink, just a 3-4 minute walk to Notre Dame. Great place but small so realize that going in. A nice place to stay for a couple of days! 23 September 2017 - 14:43:00

The apartment is great. As you walk into it, you are going to think it is small. It is, but so well put together that, within a day, you will not think of it as small. The owner is an architect, and must be a very good architect. Building is historic, quiet and pleasant. Location is absolutely the best. Convenient to important sights, the Metro and services. Of our maybe two dozen apartment rentals, this is one of the very best. 09 November 2017 - 08:14:00
