I stayed at this apartment the week of June 10th with my husband. We had a wonderful time.! The space was clean, well decorated and filled with everything we needed. The Owner was helpful and answered all my questions. This is quiet, relaxing and bright. The area had everything in walking distance so it was easy. I highly recommend this place for an alternative to expensive hotels. 15 July 2013 - 20:58:50

My wife, 2 young boys and myself checked in July 1-10th 2013. Upon our arrival the owner checked us in. She was on point and very helpful with all information about NYC attractions. The place was clean, comfortable and had everything you need! The neighborhood was very quiet and centrally located to all major restaurants, transportation and groceries. I would definitely recommend booking this apt. 15 July 2013 - 21:11:53

I stayed there for 1 week with girlfriend and my 3 kids (9, 12, 14). Apartment is clean, nice and efficient. I found everything I needed inside (including to prepare food). A bit small for 5 but for the price, no reason to complain. Area is great. And Manager has been very helpful. 02 February 2014 - 19:07:34

I contacted the owner regarding an accidental overcharge on our rental. She responded quickly and immediately offered a refund. 30 April 2014 - 20:28:32

We stayed 4 nights in July. A family with three kids fit just fine in the apartment. There is a bus stop right in front of the apartment and the subway is about four blocks away. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. There is a Dunkin Donuts, a Pizza Shop and a laundry right below the apartment block and the restaurant across the street was great! The air conditioner could pretty much keep up with the heat and humidity. Nothing to complain about. There are a couple parking garages close by but we probably could have found street parking if we had wanted to circle the block for a bit. 11 August 2014 - 13:02:22

The apartment was in a good location on the upper east side. Close to subway stops, coffee shops etc.. Small apt but had a patio which was very nice. She let us arrive early which was nice considering we had a red eye flight. We had asked for a late check out, which was granted. We just had to be out by 11am but could leave our bags till 2:30pm. We came back to the apt at 1:30 and found that the new renters were already let into the apt. This was very disconcerting! I don't like the idea our stuff being left with strangers. She should have told us to get our bags out earlier or not let the new renters in till we had our stuff out. 08 May 2015 - 19:29:43

Nice apartment for 3 sisters. The positives: 2 bedrooms(one big bedroom-the second bedroom had a bunk bed). Nice big TV. All of the amenities in the kitchen. Good location-any kind of food you could want in the area. Central park only 6 blocks away! Subway about 6 blocks away. The bus stopped right in front of the building although we never used it-we preferred the subway. The air conditioner kept up with the heat and humidity. The negatives: there was a strange odor in the apartment. It was worse when we opened the window in the tiny bathroom. I think it's from the pigeons that have nests right outside the window. The apartment is on the third floor with no elevator. We were asked to switch apartments so the apartment in the picture is not the one we stayed in. We were in one on the upper east side on 1st Ave between 90th and 91st. The location was fine as I said before but it would have been nice to be closer to the subway. The walk to the subway was uphill for a few blocks so at least we could walk downhill on the way home! We had to buy our own toilet paper and paper toweling because they ran out. I would recommend this apartment to a friend since it is fairly inexpensive and close to everything 11 June 2015 - 12:19:14

The property was as shown except that the pictures don't adequately depict that there are two distinct bedrooms - which was a nice surprise upon arrival. I think my confusion came with viewing the futon with the orange chair and viewing the futon with other furniture made me think it was one and the same room. One bedroom has a double or queen size bed in it and the other has a futon, in addition to the futon in the living room. It was warm weather while we were in NYC and because the door to the second bedroom blocked the air flow of the AC in the living room even when ajar, it grew quite warm in that particular room. The owners may consider placing an AC unit in that room. Other than that, it was a great stay namely because it is located in a residential neighborhood and one gets a first hand experience of how it is to live in NYC. Communication with the setup (arrival, checkout, keys etc) was easy and clear. MUCH less expensive than a hotel even close to the area! Walking to everything was easy and there was even a grocery store less than two blocks away to stock the fridge! 03 July 2015 - 18:40:15

This trip was our family's first to NYC and so we had a lot to figure out from accommodations, to transportation, to seeing the sights, etc. This apartment was perfect for our family of 6. It was clean and in a great neighborhood- being conveniently located, safe, and a taste of a typical NYC apartment. (Also, the beds were comfortable). The reviews and information on this vrbo were very helpful in planning our stay- we purchased the 7 day metro passes and were able to use the subway, buses, and walk to get around the city. We flew into Kennedy airport and out of La Guardia, and the owner allowed us to bring our luggage by a little earlier than check in and pick it up a little later than check out, so that we could make the most of our time while there. As far as seeing the sights- we packed as much as we possibly could into the 3 full days and 2 partial days we were there and had the best time- loved the city. We would definitely stay here again. 10 August 2015 - 14:54:22

The apartment itself is great. Very clean, tidy, perfect for 3 or less people. Great neighborhood, lots of places to eat nearby, and the park is only 5 blocks down the road, so all very nice. Only con's I will mention is that the ad says this is a quiet neighborhood. The Upper East Side may be quiet, but the condo is right on York Ave, which is not at all quiet. Not. At. All. Also, I would hope for the very basics in an apartment, like toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. Maybe I should not have expected that, but I did. There was soap, but no TP, and no shampoo. So, first thing we did was hoof it a couple blocks to the store, to buy TP. Your welcome for the shampoo and TP, to the next people that stayed after us. 24 August 2015 - 22:10:31

The accommodation is very nice. Clean, great location - just 5 blocks from Central Park. But it was also described as a quiet neighborhood. Now, maybe the Upper East Side as a whole is quiet, but the location of this apartment is right on York St....which is decidedly NOT quiet. Lots of restaurants near by, which was nice too. My biggest complaint is that I expect at least the very basics when I check into a VRBO. Toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. There was soap, but that was it. The very first thing we had to do was find a store close by and buy toilet paper and shampoo. Good thing we used the restroom before we left the airport. In summary, to the people that stay at the apartment after us, you are welcome for leaving the basics for you. 31 August 2015 - 00:26:15

I would highly recommend this property. I was impressed with the size of the apartment: nice size living space, bedroom and bathroom. The apartment was also very clean and well kept. You are in the heart of the city so yes it is noisy (problem solved by downloading a white noise ap.) I was also inbetween seasons so although the ac came in handy day one, the apartment was very cold the rest of the time. Owner did have extra comforter (and pillows, and towels) which made sleeping very comfortable. This also appears to be purely a rental so no personal items of the owner in the apartment which I like better than feeling like I'm intruding. I will definitely stay again. 07 October 2015 - 23:33:00

My family of 4 had a great stay in the Upper East Side. The two kids, 11 and 9, each had their own beds. One was in the small bedroom and one in the living space. The main bedroom was comfortable for my wife and me. We even cooked a few meals - the kitchen is stocked with the basics to cook. They even had a couple of umbrellas in the closet for those rainy days. Kids enjoyed the cable TV shows, since we don't have that at home. This neighborhood is home to many families. There is a really nice playground (with pool in summer) one block away, plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The main grocery store is just a few blocks north. There is a bus stop just outside that will take you to midtown or walk a few blocks to the metro. Another bus line is just a few blocks north that will take you to Central Park if not up for a walk. It was so easy to just hail a cab as well. We would stay here again and would definitely recommend to others. Ari and everyone we dealt with were prompt and accessible throughout our stay. 13 June 2016 - 00:23:41

This was perfect for our group of 5. It was in a very safe a pretty part of the city. There were plenty of great places to eat near by, even an awesome pizza place downstairs. The bathroom was really nice and the beds were plenty cozy. We went in December and they had a small space heater we used in our room that did just the trick. The owners were beyond friendly and accommodating. They worked around our landing times to make sure we didn't have to run around the city with our belongings. I would recommend this space for a small group of young people for sure. 24 December 2017 - 18:31:00

Pretty nice location, clean, but tiny. It was a little uncomfortable for 4 adults and 2 small children. The apartment was "Ikea cute" bright, and nice art on the walls. Was only able to connect to internet once. On last day Ari said that if I had contacted her sooner, they could have fixed it, but the Tech I had called was only able to get me connected for only 15 minutes, and said, it is a "bad location" for internet with spotty service." The neighborhood is within walking distance of Central Park and felt safe and convenient for transportation. 17 August 2017 - 19:01:00

This was a great place for four adults to stay. The rooms were spacious (for NYC) and the apartment was very well appointed with dishes, pots, pans, cutlery etc. Very close to the new 2nd Ave. subway, and lots of bagels and delis around. The bathroom was great! What prevented a 5-star rating was the poor quality of the windows. Even with two space heaters blowing at full heat the whole stay, the entire apartment was very drafty. The main bedroom wasnt warm the entire time we stayed there. Improving insulation around the windows (even with plastic sheeting and duct tape) would have made it a much more comfortable stay. 04 January 2018 - 18:36:00

The apartment is a one bedroom that has a dry wall erected to form the second bedroom. The second bedroom does not have a proper bed it is also a sleeper couch like the lounge. Both sleeper couches not very comfortable. Main bed is v soft but ok. The place is clean and adequate but basic. Had a few issues on checkin re the price negotiated and deposit paid that was then resolved after a fee calls. Most concerning part of stay was fact that 2 pairs of sneakers went missing... The housekeeper/ music had keys to place and when we asked about the sneakers there was no reply. 19 October 2014 - 09:53:17
