We arrived into Heathrow and took the tube to Goodge St. Liz made perfect arrangements for us to gain access to the apartment. The apartment was as expected with useful information in the book. We had a 16 year old daughter and an 18 year old son. The beds were comfortable and the location was quiet. My son slept on the sofa bed which was fine. The kitchen worked fine for a quick breakfast. There was one issue which made it interesting and that's in regards to the hot water. I don't know if this is common in the flats for London, but there wasn't a lot of hot water capacity for showers for 4 people and one needed to wait at least 10 minutes between showers. There also needs to be one extra role of toilet paper and a bar of soap for the shower. I would rent this place again or another from Liz as her responsiveness was exceptional and despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed our stay in London. 11 April 2013 - 08:29:52

Our family of 5 (including 3 children ages 9-12) stayed at the Fitzrovia St apartment from 23-27 Mar. Although London was experiencing a rather cold spring (snow during our stay) the visit was great and the apartment worked out perfectly. The apartment was within a 5 min walk of two stations (Warren and Goodge) which gave great flexibility for various tube connections. The area felt non-touristy and was full of restaurants, shops, etc. It was easy and quick to get to anywhere in central London either walking or the Tube (due to weather we used the Tube more than originally planned). The apartment itself was very clean, bright and cheerful. The only downside was a smaller living room that really only had a couch and some dining table chairs for seating. This did not bother us since we were out and about most of the time, but 4-5 adults may find this uncomfortable if spending a large amount of time in the apartment. Liz & Jack were extremely easy and professional to work with and provided a large amount of information in advance (and also in the apartment) which made us familiar with the area. Overall the apartment was perfect for our needs and a great value for the location. We will plan to use again on return visits to London. 14 April 2013 - 12:50:13

We just returned from a wonderful week staying at this flat. It was just as pictured on the website. There was plenty of space for our family of four . We were visiting our daughter who was studying in London and she spent a few nights on the sleeper sofa in the living room as well. It was very clean and well appointed. We loved the location that was fairly central to many sites as well as grocery stores and tube stations. The landlord was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions before our trip . We would definetly work with her again if we return to London . 19 April 2013 - 01:35:20

Stayed in this wonderful flat with my retired mother and one year old son for 4 days. The flat is exactly as pictured and described and is the cleanest property I've ever rented. We were promptly met ouside the building at the agreed upon time and given a tour of the flat. In fact, with all the information the owner provides in the welcome book we had no questions about the building or neighborhood. You'll feel like a local and not a tourist at all. There are so many restaurants, shops and bars nearby. Transportation is a breeze even though we splurged and took taxis because of the stroller (pushchair). We did walk to Oxford Circus to pick up the Big Bus Tour and it took less than 10 minutes. You can get all over London quickly from this location. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the living room is spacious, which was great for my son who had just started walking. I would recommend this property to everyone, especially those with children or elderly family members because the elevator (lift) makes all the difference. We'll definitely stay here again. I have only positive feedback. 05 May 2013 - 22:32:34

What a pleasure to stay in such a clean and quiet accommodation. Everything was matching and all the small things had been provide like spare globes, power adapters etc. I know my sister will certainly be staying there next year. It is also the perfect location near lots of sights and near the warren st underground. Restaunts and shopping near by as well. The owners go out of there way to make sure your needs are accomodated 10 May 2013 - 18:38:34

Overall it was a pretty average, satisfying experience but there were some obvious problems. Our family with 2 teenagers, stayed in this apartment for 6 nights. It is in a good location with a lift. It was very small apartment (living room with dining table) and 2 bedrooms were small as well. While the building itself is quite old, the interiors seemed new and refurbished. We found the beds uncomfortable(small and too soft) and the sofa too small for a family of four. In particular 1 spare tiolet paper was definately not enough for 4 of us for 7 days. Also apart from the essentials the apartment provided little extra supplies such as tissues food etc. We had to buy tiolet rolls, kitchen towels washing power and a couple of boxes of tissues. Also the showers ran out of hot water very quickly so the next person did have to wait. The apartment was clean but defenetly not comfortable to stay for a week. 13 July 2013 - 22:11:38

We spent the first week of our 4 week holiday in London in this lovely apartment. Liz was fantastic to deal with. She sent us so much really useful information about the area, including transport, shopping and restaurant suggestions, so we felt we knew a bit about the area when we arrived. The flat was perfect for our family of four (children 12 & 14). The master bedroom is quite large and our 14 year old daughter enjoyed having the double bed in the 2nd room to herself. Our 12 year old son slept on the large sofa bed in the lounge which he found very comfortable. Liz had left some coffee and treats for us in the kitchen which was very kind. Tescos and Sainsburys are very close, so buying other provision is very easy. The apartment is in a great location, - very central, close to several tube stations and an easy walk to Oxford street. There were many great cafes and restaurants nearby, and we felt very safe and comfortable there. The lounge isn't huge, but perfectly fine for the little time we spent there, - especially as there are 2 decent sized bedrooms as well. We would definitely recommend this flat to others visiting London. 30 July 2013 - 21:50:54

Our stay was split into two stretches, initially for 10 days, finishing with another 2 weeks, with 9 days in between. The foremost consideration for us was the location. Situated in the middle of Fitzrovia, it is a mere several minutes walk from Warren Street and Goodge Street Underground Stations. More important for us, it is within walking distance of the theatres and Covent Garden. The convenience also translates into money saved in Tube fares. The flat itself is clean recently renovated and quite well equipped. The manager, Liz, is very accommodating. Soon after we arrived, the free wi-fi was upgraded. The flat screen HD TV, probably 32-in, is ok. I did miss the soccer channels, though, but it is just as well, as my time was better spent than watching soccer on the tele. The master bed room is spacious. The second room is relatively small there is not much space left besides the double bed. One wishes that there is room for a small desk. We did not do any cooking at all, so cannot say anything useful except there is a full electric range and oven. There is a washing machine and a rack for drying clothes. All the rooms are bright and warm (we were there in January and February) and the space heaters were more than adequate. But do allow a few minutes between showers to allow the water to get hot again. All in all, it was a pleasant stay, except for the fact that the elevator broke down a couple of times, including the morning of our departure. We paid the taxi driver an extra 20 to carry our heavy bags down four storeys. While not the responsibility of the rental manager, a timely word of advice as to what to do when one was in a hurry to catch a plane would be much appreciated. 09 September 2013 - 20:34:48

There were 4 adult family members in our group who stayed 5 nights in September 2013. The apartment was compact but roomy enough even with the use of the sofa bed. The apartment is well appointed, clean and well maintained. The location is fantastic - 3 blocks from Tottenham Court Rd, 5 minutes from Tube, walking distance to "tourist" London, bars and restaurants to suit everyone within a couple of blocks. Close to takeaways and supermarkets for self caterers - and the kitchen, though small, is adequate enough to prepare a family meal. Communications with the managers, Liz & Jack, prior to our arrival were excellent and they provided lots of really useful information on the flat, the local area and London generally. Check-in was seamless with great directions and Jack there to meet us as planned. It was a bit on the expensive side - the rates were considerably higher than advertised - but it is London and it was tourist season so overall it still represented good value for the location and facilities. We would visit again and would certainly recommend it. 23 September 2013 - 07:21:20

This unit delivers on everything promised. It is clean, comfortable, well appointed and very conveniently located for transport, general shopping and restaurants. The service from Liz and Jack was excellent. They answered all correspondence quickly and clearly and gave us great personal service. Our only problem was the noise from outside the adjoining student residence late at night, since the warm weather meant we needed windows open. Liz has since informed us that she could have contacted the Warden who would have addressed the problem. In all, a pleasant experience, and a very suitable apartment for our needs. 26 October 2013 - 00:05:59

05 November 2013 - 23:02:50

We stayed with our son in this two bedroom flat and loved how convenient it was to shops and transportation. We really appreciated the extra space and amenities, like laundry and Netflix. The owners were really responsible and were great with communication. 18 February 2014 - 00:22:09

Thanks Liz, the flat is wonderful - new, clean and spacious. When a tube light blew out, it was replaced that day - very good service. The flat is walking distance to many sights. Great restaurants just nearby. I would use it again. 22 June 2014 - 21:56:10

We recently spent a family vacation in London, and stayed in this Fitzrovia flat. It was near many trendy eateries and plenty of takeaway food shopping, so convenient in that regard. The manager gave us very specific instructions, and access was simple and reliable - very important when you are coming in early from the States and are tired. The apartment spaces are small, especially the second bedroom, are small so storing suitcases was tough. My only caveat to other renters would be that the flat is on a low floor, so street noise is a problem. If you are a light sleeper you'll definitely need earplugs! My daughters from New York weren't bothered by it, but I definitely noticed it. So maybe a better rental for cooler days when you have the windows closed. We needed them open -- if you're in London to stay out late and party in a very hip young neighborhood, this is your place! 01 October 2014 - 17:35:48

The apartment was exactly as described. It was perfect for my family, and the beds were very comfortable. The apartment was centrally located, and there were great pubs right around the corner. Liz was fantastic, and we highly enjoyed our stay. Great for families, would recommend to anyone! 01 October 2014 - 17:49:29

Property is very clean and near buses and underground. There is no gap between the desription and the place. Unfortunately we do not meet the owner, but no concerns on the link through mails or SMS. I recommend this property (clean, well positionned ...). 06 November 2014 - 17:42:35
  17. Our first trip to London was a success due to feeling safe and comfortable in this clean, updated, spacious modern flat. The 2 bedrooms with bathroom, living room and kitchen and lots of light worked great. We loved turning left out of building walking 5 min to lunch and dinner on Charlotte street with great choices and fun setting. Also walked 10 minutes to Oxford street great shopping and 5 min or less to the tube and our morning coffee shop just around the corner! I was hesitant about vrbo for London even though I have used for 20+ years for beach trips. It is so far away and knowing this was a big trip for us I did not want to risk it. I took the plunge and would recommend this flat to anyone. Good communication with owner, VERY good and helpful info was sent after we booked about the area with maps and tips on shopping food etc.... Book with confidence. I felt like I was living in an Ikea mini showroom:-)! 03 June 2015 - 15:22:37

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this flat- centrally located for all our needs. We were able to walk almost everywhere to sightsee in the city, and were near enough to the Underground to access the major train stations to explore London's surroundings. All your needs can be met within a five minute walk; the apartment building was quiet as was the neighborhood generally. The apartment was exactly as described and other reviews provide accurate details. Great shopping is nearby on Oxford Street and history abounds on every corner. We recommend the Fitzrovia Pub for traditional fare and Gig's for fish and chips! 09 September 2015 - 19:01:13

We, a family of five, have just spent 10 days in this gorgeous flat. It is clean, modern, secure, great beds and well equipped with everything you need (even had hair straighteners!). London was in the grips of a cold snap during our stay, complete with snow storms, but we had no need to use the radiators. The flat was cozy and never cold. The shower worked perfectly (a rarity for many UK rentals), Netflix was wonderful after a busy day, and the wifi was quick and reliable. The security entrance was appreciated, particularly in the darker evenings. The location was perfect. We rarely used our Oyster cards, instead choosing to walk everywhere. It was a ten min walk to oxford st, 10 min walk to British Museum, 10 min walk to Regents Park, two min walk to the tube station. There are plenty of supermarkets and pubs nearby, and Charlotte St (the extension of the road the flat is on) is a gastronomic heaven, plenty of well priced restaurants and cafes. 14 December 2017 - 05:31:00
