Our family of 4 stayed in this apartment in June of 2012, I believe we were the first renters. The owner was kind enough to give us the keys in NYC, so there were no worries on getting in. We were met outside the apartment by a friend of the family who made sure we were comfortable , understood the policies, and could operate the elevator, locks, appliances, etc.. It was nice knowing that there was a person close at hand if we needed anything. The pictures are accurate. The rooms were very clean, immaculate. The unit was recently renovated and while the bathroom and kitchen were modern and well stocked the charm of old Paris was preserved. The large windows open over the quiet street and look into the yard of the small hospital across the road. Note no sirens the entire time we were there?. The one caution is that some of the furniture is antique and the owners appropriately ask their guests to be careful. The well maintained hardwood floors are many decades old, adding to the charm of the unit. The bathing room and toilet are separate. The bathroom has a great soaking tub. The toilet room is tiny enough that if you are a particularly large person you may not be comfortable. The unit is on a quiet street but close to the the subway, normal and gourmet grocery stores, several quality bakeries, a memorable fois gras restaurant, and Eiffel tower and Invalides. It is a non-touristy area which gives one a sense for living in Paris as Paris is meant to be lived. The only disappointment was that we had to leave. 03 April 2014 - 03:14:41

My husband and I stayed here for a month in the spring of 2014. A large part of the pleasure of being in Paris was having such a very comfortable, convenient place to stay. We have stayed in many Paris apartments over a long span of years and this was the best one. It is newly renovated; all appliances are new and top of the line. We were especially glad to have a combo washer/dryer. The use of space is very well thought out. The owner has interesting taste in books and art--how often do you get an apartment with a library? One caveat might be that in the bathroom, also newly renovated, the side of tub/shower is high by American standards as is typical of French apartments and hotels. Anyone with mobility issues might be a bit challenged getting in and out. Also the toilette space is quite small as the previous reviewer noted. However, those are minor quibbles. We hope to go back again next year and stay at this apartment. Also, the neighborhood has everything in the way of shops. There are 2 very good restaurants right on the same street. 16 July 2014 - 14:31:49
