About listing

This luxury apartment is located in an exclusive white glove building, with uniformed door men and concierge desk on the Upper West side of Manhattan. It is not too far from anything you might be inclined to do in NYC. In fact its only 2 blocks from Lincoln Center. Walk to Broadway shows in 15 minutes. Columbus Circle is only three blocks east with free shttle service to and from Columbus Circle and the Time Warner Center and subways. Other apartments may have commanding views from the roof deck but in this apartment you can fall asleep looking at a spectacular skyline view. You can have breakfast in the dining area looking at the skyline or the Hudson River, it just depends on which side of the table you sit. You can have your coffee on the balcony overlooking the city, its not for the faint of heart as its on a very high floor. The windows are very large and there are no child guards, due to this we will not rent to guests with children in their party under the age of 15. This apartment is available with a five night minimum, shorter stays by special arrangement. Our calendar is updated frequently so if the dates you need are open please inquire. You will be renting one bedroom, a bathroom and the living areas of a spacious two bedroom apartment. The master bedroom and bath are ours and will be locked. They are not part of the rental. We will not be there while you are renting. You will be renting about 1,000 square feet of a 1,200 square foot apartment. The guest room and common areas are devoid of all of our personal items so you can really enjoy the feel of a spacious hotel suite, not someone else's home. Perfect for long weekend vacations or business trips with the spouse. Please review calendar for availability. Longer bookings and discounted rates are availible by special arrangement. We offer a 5% discount for payment by check or wire transfer. Bedroom with queen sized bed and flat panel TV, living room with fold out queen sleeper sofa, CD, Cable, Flat Panel TV/DVD & WiFi, Dining Area with Table and four chairs. Bed linens, pillows, blankets and towels are provided, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge freezer, ice maker, gas stove. Garage in building, daily rates are available but not included in rental prices. Coin operated laundry room available. Gym on premisis day passes availible at extra cost through the gym itself. Please note that we do have a dog and this is a very dog friendly building. Although we have a dog we do have a very strict no dog policy. This building is very safe and secure. We rented this apartment over the Thanksgiving holiday and it was everything that we expected and more! Every step of the process was effortless thanks to our wonderful host, James. We arrived early to his apartment because of bad weather, and he welcomed us with open arms, even though he was not expecting us quite yet! He showed us around, let us know the ins and outs of the apartment and building, and we truly appreciated his help! We wanted for nothing during our stay. The apartment was stocked with everything needed, along with being meticulously clean and well maintained. We would definitely recommend this property to others - it is the perfect spot to stay for a New York adventure!!! Thank you for everything!!!! 10 December 2013 - 17:20:42

We stayed at this Upper West Side apartment and couldn't have been happier. The apartment is a block away from Lincoln Center in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood. The owner as easy to reach by telephone and email. There were no issues with the apartment. It was clean and comfortable. It's really the same as it appears in the photos. We would stay here again. 11 December 2013 - 21:38:24

We had an absolutely great stay, incredible location; everything within walking distance. Cannot say enough positive remarks about this apartment. Views are stunning, quiet and comfortable amenities throughout. Had a great time! 30 December 2013 - 01:18:53

The apartment was perfect for a New Year's stay in NYC. Well appointed and comfortable with a very accessible location. But the view was the most exceptional part of the stay. It was spectacular! The photos accurately showed the appearance and amenities. James was available by email and responsive. The crosstown bus stops right in front of the building, which has a grocery store, a bagel store and a wine store. This is a find! 06 January 2014 - 15:35:30

My daughter and I took a "girls only" spring break trip to New York last year. It may have been the best week of our lives, in no small part to this apartment. The views of the river, of the Empire State building and almost all of the city are breathtaking. The location is perfect...just a short walk away from the subway and Central Park. There are markets within a block if you want to eat in, plenty of places within walking distance if you want to eat out. The apartment itself is so comfortable and welcoming. We felt like we were coming "home" every night. The owners are wonderful and it's clear they care about their home and their guests. I will cherish the memory of my daughter looking out over the balcony and saying "Mom, it's like the whole world is down there and we are seeing it all. This is the best trip ever." Can't recommend this beautiful apartment enough. 11 April 2014 - 00:32:30

Spectacular view, great location, immaculate, well stocked and comfortable. Need I say more? If you are looking for a home base when you are in New York city, this is the ideal place. James, the owner was wonderful to deal with. The unit itself is in a secure building with doorman and concierge. Not the newest or fanciest building you can find, but well maintained, friendly and convenient to Lincoln Square, Central Park, broadway shows and museums. All the comforts of home are provided in the apartment and there's a convenient grocery store less than a block away. This is the real deal if you want to experience NYC like a local. The view is worth a million and will stay with you long after you leave. Can't wait to go back! 11 September 2014 - 22:15:38

So are you an "Arts" person? Love opera, ballet, film, music, Lincoln Center? Do you love, love, love having a fabulous place to stay? Well if so, this rental is for you! My twin sister and I have been traveling together for years and only stay in luxury apartments near the venues we visit. This apartment meets every criteria. Abundance of taxis. Two blocks from Lincoln Center. Grocery store half a block away. 33rd floor apartment with spectacular views of Manhattan and the Hudson River and a balcony. Quiet. Upscale neighborhood. And easy rental experience from debonair and cultured owners. The apartment is spacious, elegant, well stocked and very comfortable. We've stayed here twice so far and consider this to be our "place to stay in NYC". Make it your place too. You will never regret staying here. Perfect in every way. 09 March 2015 - 23:53:02

The views from this apartment are so fantastic that I could have stayed there 24 hours a day and been happy. Amazing views east, west and south. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you could possibly need. I loved the location with the subway and Lincoln Center a block or two away and Columbus Circle a 10 minute walk. Many restaurants and movie theaters nearby, and Broadway theaters a healthy walk or short subway ride away. The owner was exceptionally responsive and helpful. I can't wait to go back again next year! 23 April 2015 - 22:02:26

My husband and I stayed in this apartment during a visit to New York on our way home from a 3 week trip to Europe. The apartment is full of light with views of the Hudson River and Manhattan. It is well stocked to make it a comfortable home away from home. Very convenient to groceries if you want to cook and eat some meals in the comfort of your own place. We enjoyed hanging out and relaxing in a beautiful setting which was convenient to Lincoln Center, Central Park, great museums, Broadway shows. Nice shopping streets nearby. We visit NY often because our son lives there, and this is our favorite rental of the many places we've stayed over the years. The owner was very helpful and responded promptly to any questions. This apartment is our first choice for our next trip to NY. 20 May 2015 - 14:43:42

My wife and I went to NYC to visit our daughter (who lives in Brooklyn) and to see some shows. The apartment is comfortable (air conditioning works very well) and beautiful (especially the view from the balcony). It is also very conveniently located, with Lincoln Center (where we went to two performances) essentially next door. There is a subway station only a 15 minute walk away, so it is very easy to get to Broadway (where we saw two plays). Coming home from Broadway was only a $10 cab ride (not including tip). There is also a grocery store just around the corner that stays open till 10 p.m. What really made our stay special was how wonderful a host James was. My wife and I have had very good luck with VRBO both in the US and Europe. But, James was, by far, the best host we have encountered. The apartment is very well stocked with coffee, sweeteners, condiments, towels, toiletries, tour books and maps of NYC, and numerous other items that made us feel truly at home. There were even umbrellas, which were very helpful during the deluge we encountered one day. We are already planning our trip back to NYC next year, and will definitely stay there again. We highly recommend this wonderful place. 07 August 2015 - 16:43:44

My wife and I stayed at this apartment for 9 days over the July 4th weekend. Simply a wonderful, relaxing place. We enjoyed our drinks on the balcony and watched fireworks across the Hudson River in New Jersey. We watched the Empire State Building's tower flash with the red, white and blue. The views are spectacular, 33 floors up! The chairs and sofa are comfortable, the bed is great and the linens all pressed and welcoming. We made our breakfasts in the kitchen which was outfitted just right for our needs. You can walk to Columbus Circle for shopping at Whole Foods or go to The Met. We fully recommend this place and will be staying there again on our NYC trips! 11 July 2016 - 21:37:58

My wife and I spent nearly two weeks in this attractive, nicely furnished and decorated apartment. A comparable suite in a hotel with separate bedroom, large bathroom, living room, kitchen, and balcony would cost about $300 more per night. Why not spend the savings on restaurants (we went to at least a dozen), Broadway plays (three), movies, museums and other attractions? Lincoln Square is a short walk and has many excellent restaurants (Lincoln Square Steak was a favorite). There are three groceries and two wine shops within two blocks; laundry facilities are downstairs. The Hudson River is in view from the balcony. A short walk west, then north to 68th Street, takes you to a walkway down to the River. At the foot of the walkway is Pier i Cafe, a pleasant waterside restaurant. James was a very accommodating landlord. All in all a highly recommended lodging. 09 June 2016 - 19:32:40

This is my 3rd time renting an apartment in the city and this was a real gem! Quiet, clean and a great view. Had more room than your average apartment and was well stocked. 02 December 2017 - 12:48:00

This was the 7th trip I have made to NYC and the first time I have booked an apartment - usually we stay at the New York Palace but James apartment was even better. From the friendly staff on the front desk to the quality and location of the accommodation it could not be better. Having snow on the final day just added to a magical stay. When shall certainly be returning to New York and we shall also be staying at this apartment again. Outstanding - thank-you. 11 December 2017 - 08:02:00

We had a wonderful week in this apartment. It really is every bit as good as the pictures. From the view of the Hudson out the kitchen window to the views across to the Lincoln Centre, and back to the centre of Manhattan. Day and Night was an everchanging, beguiling, enchanting city landscape. Our host was very welcoming, the apartment spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable, and for Manhattan very quiet. 06 March 2017 - 11:29:00

We couldn't have been happier with this apartment, and it was perfect in every way. It was extremely clean, very well stocked and had an incredible panoramic views from all angles. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need for cooking and feeling at home. Waking up and falling asleep to the New York skyline was amazing. We could even see cruise ships docked on the Hudson River, and the Empire State building was lit up beautifully during the holidays. An added surprise bonus was being able to see 3 sets of fireworks from the apartment on New Years Eve! We didn't use the balcony much because of the extreme cold when we were there, but it would be a perfect place to sit and have coffee or snacks and watch the city. The location is wonderful - being a short walk to Central Park and in a great neighbourhood. There are well stocked grocery stores steps away, and the staff and neighbours in the building were very friendly. We felt extremely safe all the time. The bed was very comfortable, and the sofa bed is one of the most comfortable we have ever experienced. Our 17 year old daughter raved about it being the best she has ever slept on. It was really easy to get a taxi right in front when we headed to shows, but it was also an easy walk to the Theatre District and other areas. The shuttle to and from the Columbus metro was an unexpected bonus, although we didn't end up using it since we loved the walking and exploring. There was a nice looking pool and gym in the building that was available to use for a small fee. James was an incredible host. He thought of everything, was very welcoming, and really easy to communicate with. This place really was a home away from home - except much better! We will definitely be back when we return to New York, and will recommend to friends without any hesitation. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you for helping make this a perfect trip! 04 January 2018 - 18:21:00

My sister and I spent a week in this beautiful, comfortable and super clean apartment. The photos don't do it justice as the views from the 33rd floor are spectacular! The location was perfect .We went sightseeing, saw shows and visited family and friends but always looked forward to getting back to watch the lights of NY and catch the sunset reflecting off the buildings outside. James was a wonderful host; extremely responsive via phone and very accommodating as well. We felt so fortunate to be able to stay in this very special place. Can't wait to come back (maybe when its warmer). Thanks James 25 January 2018 - 22:33:00
