About listing

The apartment is on the 2nd and third floor of a 2 apartment building. The 2 bedrooms and bathroom are on the top floor. It has a very large kitchen, 2 sundecks, 50” TV, internet wireless. The parking space is just behind the apartment. Once you walk out of the building you will find the major intersection of Duluth and St-Denis Street Just up the street to your right. There’s a big wine store there. Along St-Denis Street you will find great restaurants and shopping; two of the closest, which we love, are the Café Cherrier (breakfast). To your left you will see a pedestrian street called Prince Arthur (look for the our Restaurant, Bistro Les Deux Gamins - a great place for afternoon cocktails (if it's sunny, of course) and there's always great food and live French singers on Friday and Saturday nights. On Prince Arthur, you can find two convenience stores (depanneur in French); one small one in the first block, and a larger one with more food items two blocks further (both on the north side of Prince Arthur).

Tim has been great in getting back to me with the info I have needed to make this decision to rent the flat. I have not been treated better any where else and we really enjoyed our stay. Both Tim and Valarie made us feel most welcome and their hospitalty was second to none. I highly recommend both apartments to anyone! 27 September 2003 - 05:00:00

Our first VRBO - everything worked out well. Owner was accommodating and communication was good. Nice to feel as if you were one of the locals by staying in an apt. Kitchen well stocked if you want to cook. Great air conditioners. Eat at Cafe Cherrier! Sun rises early in Montreal !!! 01 July 2008 - 05:00:00

Really enjoyed our stay at Tim's apartment. Location is very central to everything. Loved cruising around on the Bixi bikes. I've never been in such a bike friendly town. 26 August 2017 - 00:31:00

Apt. was nice and clean, with a slight bit of a "still under renovation" feel to it. The location is perfect for exploring Montreal and the local restaurants / cafes were varied and good. Metro was a quick walk and bike rental right down the street. The parking spot was definitely a plus. We parked our car and got around without it for the 3 days we were there. All in all it was a good value which I would recommend to friends. 28 August 2017 - 16:19:00

This apartment is just great from start to finish. On the lower level (which is one floor up from the street) there is a spacious living room, dining room and kitchen, tastefully furnished, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. There's also a small front porch overlooking the street and a large, private deck in back for eating outdoors on a nice evening. Back stairs connect to the parking area from the alley behind the building. Upstairs there are two good sized bedrooms and a beautiful bath with tube and shower. All are clean and in good condition. The location is perfect, just a block and a half from Rue St. Denis and surrounded by restaurants and shops. Everything you need for your stay is local, and the Metro is only a five minute walk away and connects you with the whole city. One caution: the stairs from the street as well as between levels are very steep, so anyone with mobility issues may find this apartment difficult to navigate. We stayed with two adults and two kids for three nights and wished we could have been there a whole week! We will definitely try to book this apartment again when we return to Montreal! Highly recommended. 26 July 2017 - 12:54:00
  6. My husband and I honeymooned in this apartment in July of 2006. We loved our stay so much that we hated to leave at the end of the week! I spent each morning sipping coffee at cozy table in front of the window overlooking the park. It was very close to the Metro, a pedestrian street full of good food and people, and of course, St. Louis Park. We cannot wait to visit the apartment again. I couldn't imagine a trip to Montreal that does not involve staying here. 01 August 2008 - 11:27:33
  7. I spent 10 days in July at this lovely apartment. It was clean, comfortable and felt like a home. The neighborhood is wonderful and served as a good central location for exploring the city. Most things are within an easy walk, or bike ride (I brought my bike and was glad). E-mailing Tim was easy, though we never did speak on the phone or in person. It was my first time using CyberRentals and I was a bit nervous sending a check without a contract. Tim was understanding and to set my mind at ease, provided me with one upon request. I will definitely visit again soon. The only thing that was a pain in the neck was the parking (be prepared to move your car a lot). 14 September 2008 - 16:51:14
  8. I felt obligated to post this because Ive found other reviews helpful and I thought it only fair to pay it forward. This was simply the best experience we have ever had with a vacation rental. For starters, the location was perfect. Situated between the two vibrant streets of St.-Denis and Saint Laurent and a short walk away from a line of cabs on the later and a nice clean subway station, we felt Montreal was ours to explore. And the neighbourhood itself was fantastic. With the promenade of restaurants just a few steps away and the picturesque park right out the front door we felt like we were in Paris. As a previous reviewer suggested, parking was always a bit of an adventure, but we never felt it was a big problem. The apartment itself was spotless and very comfortable and exactly as pictured. We absolutely loved gazing out the lovely windows in the evenings while sipping a glass (or more) of table wine purchased from a nearby depanneur. And I highly recommend taking a walk up Boulevard Saint Laurent to Schwartzs for some of their smoked meat. A fun treat! The only bad thing was having to leave it all behind at the end of our too short stay. 04 September 2010 - 08:19:00

This is a delightful, spacious, very well-furnished (especially the kitchen, with marble counter tops and European appliances), inexpensive, one-bedroom apartment with hard-wood floors, and with great views of the wooded Square St. Louis. It is located in the interesting, multicultural area of Plateau St. Royal. Lots of interesting Victorian town-houses, and many, many good, inexpensive restaurants of all types within walking distance (we especially recommend Pinxto, a Spanish tapas place just three blocks north--try the $18 lunch special menu on W,Th,F---astounding value... Also, there is a Metro subway stop just two blocks away, where you can get to anyplace in Montreal in minutes (best subway system I have ever experienced--clean, and very fast). Other than some minor technical glitches one always experiences in new apartment rentals, the only really negative thing we experienced is that for some reason the screaming drunks coming home from the bars on Sat. and Sun. mornings at 2-4 a.m. come down this street by the park; but no worry, we shut the windows tight and put in our emergency travel ear-plugs! Over-all, this was one of the best apartments for the price we have ever stayed in, and we are experienced renters around the world. I highly recommend this apartment! 09 October 2010 - 19:25:02

This is a great apartment in a terrific neighborhood, with a very helpful owner. The apartment is large, with especially roomy dining and living room areas, plus an outdoor deck. It's a on a lovely, very quiet street - but only 1 block from the cafes and shops of Rue St. Denis and just a short walk to the subway. And the owner is a really good guy. While staying there, I accidentally broke a window, but the owner could not have been nicer about it and immediately took over the process of getting it fixed quickly. i would happily stay here again. 05 August 2015 - 16:20:58
