The apartment is quite well equipped and was clean and comfortable, but as the elevated train line runs immediately outside the bedrooms, it is very noisy. The train runs 24 hours a day. We decided to move after our first night although we were booked for several days. 06 June 2016 - 03:48:00

Apartment is ideal for heading into the city and returning to literally walk across the street and be "home." The DOUBLE keyless entry feels safe and secure. There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat nearby, but best of all there is a C-town grocery store only 2-3 blocks away. You will hear the subway, but it never disturbed my sleep. For the money, I didn't see a better common space. We chose it for this as we knew we would be gathering a small crowd for Christmas (10). I will caution you to let your host know specifics of what you might need or expect in the kitchen, as what you may think as standard ware could be missing. For instance there were no hot pads, cookie sheets, small kitchen sized towels, mixing bowls or flatware for more than 2. (Also no toiletries in the bathroom or comforters on the bed) Which brings me to your host Quaizer. (Did I spell that right?) for EVERY issue I had, he PROMPTLY went out of his way to remedy it. He was there to greet us upon our arrival and made several trips back to take care of things. He was a kind, dependable, and gracious host. The boiler had some issues while we were there and he arranged an alternative space for us in the event it got too cold (which never happened) All in all I'd highly recommend the space, especially if you don't plan to cook a lot. The pans etc, were a bit challenging. By the way, I purchased measuring cups and spoons and left them there so they should be ready for the next guests!!!!! We made some fine Christmas cookies! 27 December 2016 - 00:47:00

We rented unit 2F, located on the second floor of a building right across the street form the Woodhaven av. metro station in Queens, obviously there is noise from the train crossing at all times and we thought it would be a problem, but we went to bed every day so tired after walking all day that we slept all night, we don't even notice it. However this could be an issue for other people. We had relatives across the street, so it was perfect to meet and arrange things together. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable, has a huge tv, nice to see some tv at night to rest after a long day walking in NYC. We are very picky with cleaning, so we found the apartment in general clean, but would recommend an extra cleaning to the little oven-toaster on the bench, we did not use it, not clean at all!!, and we think it is time to change the tableware, it is a bit old and worn. This house has a very good price for NYC and Manhattan prices so we found it very convenient, we got groceries and prepared breakfasts and small dinners, and were all day in NYC, subway in NYC is very efficient so we moved around all day in subway and came back home just crossing the street form the station. Previous guests left some items that we used, other people may not agree with that, but it is very practical (coffee filters, salt, sugar, condiments and so on), we also left some things. Quaizar the owner is very nice, responded mails with questions quickly before check in, and let us in before the regular check in time, we drove from DC and were very tired. We met him in our first day and was very nice, he even offered a second apartment (unit 3R) on the third floor and on the other side of the building where the noise of the train was not a problem. He was very nice in offering this apartment so that we could stay more confortable, we only used one bedroom. That was very kind, we appreciatedThis apartment is smaller but very clean including kitchen, ideal for smaller groups. We loved our stay in NYC and found this place very confortable with a good price. 19 January 2017 - 02:41:00

I grew up in Richmond Hill but moved to AZ over 20 years ago and need to come back regularly with my husband and kids to visit family. There are no hotels in the area and we can't afford the hotels near the airport. So when we found Quaizar's affordable, apartment in Woodhaven, we were pleasantly surprised. Pleasant surprise turned into total DELIGHT! The arrangements were all so easy, Quaizar is the finest, most professional, eager to please host you could possibly hope to get through a rental and the apartment is absolutely immaculate, comfortable and ideal for a NY stay. All the pictures are exactly what you should expect - we were in NY during a very uncomfortable heat wave and had great air conditioning throughout the apartment the whole time. The appliances are perfect and allowed us to have breakfast in the apartment every day, saving us so much money. When we weren't sure if we would rent a car or take transportation, Quaizar offered us a very affordable car service in the area to get to and from the airport and let us know he has parking available if we needed it. The beds are very comfortable, the train is steps from your door and the big screen television with movie channels is very hard to peel yourself away from! Make sure you try the Manor Delicatessen just a block away (awesome food!) and get the unlimited ride metro card if you're planning extensive sightseeing. We were so pleased with our experience working with Quaizar on our stay that we will definitely be back. He is dedicated to ensuring his customers are pleased and he absolutely loves New York and will do everything he can to ensure you do too by the time you leave. Thanks Quaizar! 21 July 2013 - 17:37:28

Our family of 7 fit comfortably in this apartment. PARKING: Parking is not included, but we were able to find on street parking for our large SUV a few blocks away. There were no restrictions/street sweeping, so we parked after unloading and didn't move it again until we checked out. CONVENIENCE: There's a deli/small grocery store across the street to pick up basics, a drug store and a dollar store a couple blocks away for forgotten items. And a wonderful bakery - try the guava turnovers! TRAVEL: It was super convenient to get a metro pass and take the subway or bus wherever we needed to go. Take note: There are Woodhaven stops on two different subway lines - we had quite an adventure discovering that. We used google maps to navigate. KITCHEN: Well stocked with dishes, but do pack your own groceries - even the basics: salt, pepper, ketchup. We did enjoy some pancakes one morning using mix that was provided for us. We mostly ate out, and ordered take-out from the Mexican place downstairs (delicious large portions). NOISE: The subway does run frequently on the elevated track right next to the building, but we were able to sleep. We played a direcTV instrumental music channel in each room to help provide some white noise. Otherwise, the building was quiet. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: There are two futons in the living room (one would fit a child) and the beds were as described. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and extra sheets, blankets and pillows were provided for our futon sleepers. BATHROOMS: Both were very clean with plenty of towels for our family. It was great having an extra bathroom to use while someone was enjoying the fantastic shower! TV: A huge TV in the living room and smaller ones in each bedroom with DirecTV. PARENTS beware - there are adult channels available. We didn't allow our kids to even use the guide since we didn't want them to read the descriptions. Perhaps parental controls could be set to block that content providing renters with the code if they wish to override? SECURITY: The building is on a commercial street, but in a nice residential neighborhood. We stayed over Christmas break and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights. HOST: Though we missed meeting Quaizar since we were on the go most of our stay, he kept in touch regularly via text. We felt comfortable that if there were an issue, it would be addressed. We would definitely stay again. 31 December 2016 - 02:13:00

My Wife and i stayed at this apartment with our 10 year old son. At the time of our departure, all three of us agreed that this place felt authentic. Its hard to put a finger on it, but all the minor details added to an enjoyable experience. Details such as: 1) Easy access to the Subway; 2) Convenient stores abound And 3) a great stylish apartment. The pictures posted, were true to our expectations. We recommend it. 17 February 2013 - 16:07:54

When we saw the listing for this place the pictures blew us away. Upon arrival the apartment matched and exceeded what we saw in the pictures. The apartment was extremely beautiful. We came to NY to spend the last days of our kids summer vacation sightseeing the city. This place was great for that. The subway train was located very close. We were able to take it into Manhattan. We avoided the hassle and expense of renting a car. I will definitely come here again next time we make our way to New York. 17 February 2013 - 22:33:50

We had a very nice time at here. the place was very clean and well kept and sure enough, the subway was right outside! this made it very easy to make our excursions into manhattan. The place also had a well stocked kitchen and we ended up saving money by being able to cook food and enjoy left overs from our dining out. There are also few bargain shops near by. The kids had their own room and we were very comfortable in the master. I am definitely coming back here. 19 February 2013 - 02:45:51

My family and I came up to New York for sightseeing. We were looking for a place with easy access to the city without having to spend the exorbitant Manhattan prices. We were pleasantly surprised to find this place. With easy access to the city via the subway and the beautiful apartment this was the perfect fit. I will definitely consider coming here again. 19 February 2013 - 04:49:49

I have visited many places, and stayed in many hotels from 3 stars to 5 stars. But it was nothing compared to the experience of living here. The places is very spacious and comfortable. Plenty of shops around to buy food and grocery and daily needs. The greatest thing was the subway outside the apartment, which made moving around and getting into Manhattan easy. Loved it. 17 February 2013 - 16:15:53

Security is the most important thing that a group of single girls travelling into NYC want..... and that's exactly what we felt this time staying here. Been to NYC many times in the past with my friends but this time was different. The neighborhood is bustling with activity and a subway station right at your doorstep is probably the only thing that led us to this place and we weren't disappointed. a quick 15 min ride and your inside downtown Manhattan...convenience stores all around...proximity to the airport. You name it this place has all the amenities that we all love and are used too. Would definitely come and stay again. 25 February 2013 - 02:36:05

What a great apartment! This rental was great for me, my husband and 2 teen boys. The location is just a few feet from the train that can take you any and everywhere, and the look of the apt is very cozy and chic! The bathroom is gorgeous and really everything in the apt has been upgraded from the norm. We felt very comfortable and slept like babies! The only thing I'd recommend is hooks! If Quaziar (very accessible owner) added about 6-8 hooks for coats and towels around the apt, it would be perfect! We will definitely stay here again! 05 April 2013 - 16:57:22

My group also rented this larged two bedroom apartment during our trip to NYC. I was born and raised in New York and brought 12 members from my church with me to show off my city. I searched long and hard for the right place and struck gold with this property managed by Quaizar. I rented 3 apartments in total in this same building; including the one pictured above. This aparment was particluarly great for young kids, because of the space and positioning of the huge TV and sofa. As the other comments mention everything is exactly as described in the listing; it was like staying in a new apartment. And I know how small New York hotels are, so in comparison to those these apartments are very spacious. What I want to focus on in this review is that when you rent this property, you also get Quaizar, which is worth its wait in gold. Quaizar is the definition of what professionalism and customer service is all about. He went above and beyond to ensure that our vacation would be a memorable one. And when you come to the greatest city in the world, you want to enjoy the time you are here. You can trust Quaizar and expect him to come through on everything that is promised. I highly recommend this property, and highly recommend Quaizar as someone you want to do business with. Quaizar, on behalf of everyone in my partythank you!!! 24 October 2013 - 16:54:16

Being so close to the subway made this a very convenient place to stay. We were able to park our car and never move it until we left to go home. I was happy to find that despite being across the street from the subway, the noise was minimal. The property was clean and comfortable. There were seven of us and we didn't feel crowded. The owner was helpful and we would stay here again when we return. 26 June 2014 - 22:43:43

Lovely 2 bedroom flat, clean, very close to the subway and nice little restaurants. Nice 45 minute subway ride into the city. 17 August 2014 - 19:54:24

I would recommend this apartment to anyone, unless your handicap and cannot do stairs. No elevator. Our stay was very pleasant while staying here, it was nice and clean. Yes there is a subway that passes next to the apartment, however you cannot hear it that loud in the apartment. Neighborhood has lots of small community stores. Overall it was Great! 03 June 2015 - 00:36:14

We are a family of five from the midwest. We have two teenage girls and one 11 year old girl. We knew we could not survive a week cramped in a small hotel so we chose this apartment in Queens. We were not disappointed. It is very nice, and we felt safe. It is just as the pictures portray! We even visited with the guests in the apartments on the other floor which was fun. It is about an hour by subway into the city, but this gave us a true idea of what it would be like to live near New York City as most people cannot afford to live in Manhattan. Bring ear plugs if you are use to quiet nights like us, but not really a big deal. After all, this is the city! Staying in this apartment also allowed us to eat some of our meals at home which saved us some money to spend on other things. The only thing I would change would be adding some plates and silverware. I bought paper plates and plastic silverware to get us by and that was fine too! I would definitely recommend this apartment! 12 June 2015 - 00:03:31

Be sure you know New York before coming. Know the safe neighborhoods and plan on parking your car in a safe spot. (Long Island City, Manhattan hotels, New Jersey side of Hudson, basically close to the rivers and your good). Bad spots are (Jamaica, downtown brooklyn, queens). This house is part of Jamaica. The spot is likely safe, from other reviews I have read but the appearance once you arrive does not seem that way. We had a homeless person digging in trash right outside the house next to the door you enter from. Their is no parking at this house. Subway across street is nice but you will hear it all night long. It is 14 feet from the window every 7-8 minutes. Owner has tried to block out noise with double pane windows but you still hear it. We booked house not knowing anything about New York and judging by pictures and price this seemed great. Upon arrival, safety was an issue for us and we didn't feel safe, though others have said they felt completely opposite. We are from Florida and maybe that is just us. Anyhow, we didn't feel safe and we moved to a hotel in Long Island city. Notified Quaizar of the issue. He was great and helpful, however remember he is in business and has to make up for lost time. So we stayed at the house a grand total of 12 minutes and half our vacation budget was wiped out that we had been saving for a year for. Knowledge is power and lack of knowledge is very costly in New York City. Please heed my advice and research safe neighborhoods and places to stay here. This city will take your hard earned vacation money as quick as it can. In this case, it cleaned out half my budget in 12 minutes. 03 June 2017 - 15:23:00
