We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this delightful French apartment! The ambiance of old French furniture was charming and yet the appliances and bathrooms were modern and clean. The location of this apartment/ VRBO, right across from the Tuileries and the Place de la Concorde, allowed us to easily walk and enjoy the amazing French marvels of the Louvre, Place Vendome, and the Tuileries Gardens. The neighborhood restaurants had great food and we even enjoyed a Saturday morning market in close proximity and took our purchases to eat near the Jeu de Paume and just people watched. It made our time more relaxing after touring the other sites in Paris. The view of the Eiffel Tower and the obelisk in the Place de la Concorde is one that is spectacular from a distance. 15 June 2017 - 21:37:00

The apartment was precisely as advertised, and could not have been better located. Easy walks to great restaurants, museums, parks, and the metro. Beautiful exposed beams in throughout the property and a quiet garden view -despite its location on a main thoroughfare gave the apartment a wonderful, homey feel. The flat was equipped with everything advertised, and everything worked properly except for a small problem with the hot water heater. When called, someone came out promptly to fix it. The owners were also easy to reach, and provided some details about the flat prior to our arrival which we found helpful. They were easy to work with, and I'd highly recommend this property. Other reviews took issue with the bathroom arrangement, and overall sense of privacy. The layout worked very well for our family, but we were traveling with three adults and three small children, so privacy may have been less of an issue than for others. Notwithstanding, we were willing to trade a small degree of privacy for the location, and were quite happy with our decision. 25 July 2017 - 16:01:00

Being from Texas we like everything BIG and this apartment was perfect for a family of 6. Much larger than I thought. It is in a great location - right off Metro Line 1 which made it very helpful for getting around town. It was clean and had all the ammenities of home with a fabulous view of the Eiffel and Place de la Concorde. Also quiet for sleeping and I felt safe in the area and the courtyard was always locked so that gave even more security. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great central location. Je vous remercie pour un sjour agrable! Donna 17 October 2010 - 21:59:42

The location is perfect for visiting the sights (like the Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, and just across the street from the Tuileries Gardens), tasting the exquisite French foods; within walking distance of the apartment, or simply relaxing and enjoying the beauty that is Paris. The apartment is very nicely decorated with all of the amenities you would want plus some and is very comfortable like home. Also, the building and court yard is secure. We would highly recommend the apartment for its location. It felt like our home for that week. 13 October 2010 - 19:13:26

By Paris standards it is of good size and in a great central location but has significant major deficiencies which will be brought to the attention of the owner. Major deficiencies include issues of inadequate privacy (between bedrooms and bathrooms) and missing items that were claimed to be there in the VRBO web site and were included in the price of the apartment. In spite of the web site claims, there was presently no telephone, no computer (with "dial-up internet"), no wifi or ethernet internet (unless a username/password is required which was not in any instructions), no DVD player and no VCR. It really can't accommodate more than 4 people well and is overpriced in my opinion with the deficiencies mentioned since they're supposed to be provided in the rental price. The place was clean and the owner was helpful in instructions on getting to and in to the apartment. 01 May 2011 - 12:36:22

Largely because of the warmth and location of the apartment, my wife and I decided we had to visit Paris again and stay in your home again. Thank you for the memories (from both trips) that we will cherish forever. We shall recommendno, we will make it mandatory that everybody we know visiting Paris stay in your home. We enjoyed the many close attractions your apartment is within walking distance of. The morning walks together thru the Tuileries Garden was so romantic and peaceful we did it every day. My wife loved the shopping trips in the afternoon and (surprisingly) I did too. Then in the evening, we dined at a few of the famous restaurants like LArdoise and Lescure. A few times we stayed in the apartment and make homemade meal, which was fun like at home. I highly recommend this location and apartment. You will not find a more comfortable place for your memorable vacation. We will return again and again. 03 June 2011 - 15:05:14

We were there on the last week of July for a week, and my family and I (6 people) had a very nice and comfortable stay! Location is just so good, the beautiful garden to stroll, Metro station is just down the street, and many more. If it was not for our mothers who have knee problems, we could walk to lot more places from "our new apartment" in Paris. Mr. JP was very responsive and helpful for our needs. Apartment was big enough for family of 6, and true to the description, the view of Eiffle tower was amazing. Though we must point out that this apartment may not be suitable for couples (non family) due to its unique floor plan. Previously mentioned in the review, some might feel the lack of privacy. Having kitchen, washer and dryer was very nice for a week stay, and the place was clean. And Merci, for the coffee!!!! We would love to rent this great place if we can go back to the city of light. 17 August 2011 - 01:29:54

The apartment was all that was promised. The location was fantastic. This was our fifth visit to Paris and this location was perfect to introduce our daughter and grandson to one of our favorite cities. The privacy problem mentioned by others was solved by putting up newspapers on the windows in the second bathroom. One problem, the owners need to check the kitchen supplies, three mismatched glasses and three wine glasses and no cereal bowls were inadequate for four persons, much less six. I would recommend this property to friends. 16 April 2012 - 14:38:53

Great deal and ideal central location. We walked to many attractions. The Orsay, and Louve are only 5 to 10 mins each and was easily able to navigate subways to other parts of town. I took my family of 5 (3 kids 11,16 &18) to Paris. Hotels the way they are in Europe where a 2 bed unit in the US means 2 double beds, in Europe it means 2 twins and no space for a rollaway. In addition, most of Europe has a legal cap of 4 people max. in a room. That left me with having to get 2 or more rooms for my family of 5. Renting an apt. made the most sense and was much cheaper in the long run, In addition, you get the benefit of a living room and full kitchen. We were able to make our breakfasts everyday and a couple of dinners in the apartment and that saved us alot of euros. The apartment has plenty of space, a nice view of the Eiffel Tower out one window and several restaurants within a couple block walk. The "Concorde" subway station is right out the door. The owner provides you with the passwords to get in the building doors and the key is left for you in a hidden location. This was huge for us. I was arriving no earlier than 10pm at night and knew that if I had to meet someone or go to some office to pick up the key it would be big trouble. Travel from the airport was very manageable taking the RER B train from the Charles de Gaulle airport to Chatelet Les Halles station and then connecting to the subway to get to the Concorde station. FYI, While using the subway you use tickets to enter the subway only, when taking the RER, you must feed the ticket to enter and exit the train stations so don't throw your ticket away until you are out on the sidewalk outside the station. The apartment is walk-up on the 2nd floor (60 steps) and has 2 bedrooms, each has 1 double bed in them and the living room has a convertible couch. While the mattresses have seen better days they were adequate. I will cautious you that you enter the master bedroom thru the other bedroom so no related people or families may find that an issue if they share the apt. For my tribe it was no issue. My daughter did comment that the convertible couch with it's then mattress was not too comfortable. I suggest leaving it to one teenager or 2 small children only. Thank you Jean-Pierre! 03 May 2013 - 21:55:38

We spent 8 nights here for our 10 year wedding anniversary, place is perfect, nice layout, nicely appointed, lost of space and very comfy. Bedrooms face quite courtyard We arrived to a nice handwritten note from JP welcoming us to his home and Paris The view out the window we could not stop looking at, it changes hourly with the light. Eiffel tower lights up at night and twinkles on the hourly for 5 minutes, we looked every hour we could. Perfect location, major Metro line 100 away, money change and nice little restaurant just out side the front door. So close to markets and many many restaurants for all budgets. Walking distance to numerous musee and attractions. Plus metro is easy to navigate so we went all over the city and saw so much in short time. Taxi stand 10 from door so easy to get here and back to airport as well as to explore all Paris. Would highly recommend and we would stay again of we return to Paris Joe & Kelli Woodbridge, CT. 08 October 2013 - 10:44:01

We had a great time in JP's apartment. When people heard our address in Paris - "you must be rich". You will feel rich staying here, with the statues in the secure entry, the view of the Eiffel tower from the window, etc it is clear you have arrived in the right location. This was a large apartment and located within easy walk to the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and other great destinations. As described the unit is right next to the subway and a Velib station. As other comments mention, the privacy in the apartment is problematic if used for two bedrooms. We knew this in advance and the location and price makes this a worthwhile trade-off. If this were my apartment I would add obscure glass into the openings between the second bathroom and the master bathroom/bedroom. Yes, it is nice to have some natural light in the second bathroom, but my 15 year old daughter got to see something she wished she didn't. Also, it would work to add a screen or hallway so that the second bedroom (which you have to walk through to get to the master bedroom) was private. This bedroom has two doors so one could be used for a private corridor to the master bedroom. We never turned on the TV, but it is small. Let's face it, TV isn't why you come to Paris. The towels are ready for an upgrade too. None of these issues are big problems and I did not downgrade the rating at all but I figure that constructive suggestions might make the place even better for the next visitor. Communication with JP and his staff was excellent. Of the 10 places we stayed in Europe on this trip, JP's information and written instructions were the best. We had originally booked for 5 days, but paid for an entire week. JP was courteous enough to allow us to add an additional day when we found an extra day in our schedule for Paris. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. I'd bring something to block the "windows" between the two bathrooms if I was travelling with friends or my children the next time. A towel and duct tape would work. Thanks again! 13 September 2014 - 17:21:16

Another couple and my wife and I traveled to Paris to begin a three week honeymoon (you can take good friends on a later-in-life, 2nd marriage honeymoon!). For three of us, it was our first visit to Paris so we wanted to be close to the places a first time visitor would want to see. Jean Pierres apartment was about as perfectly located as one could get. We could walk to most destinations and with a metro stop just a few steps away we could get anywhere we wanted to. The apartment is very spacious and very quiet considering it is on a busy street. The directions for getting to and into the apartment were perfect. We would definitely consider staying here again were we to return to Paris. We highly recommend the Segway tour as a good way to get oriented to Paris attractions and learn some interesting history. 03 November 2014 - 21:42:24

The apartment is in a great location with a great view. You are centrally located and the metro is literally right across the street. The bathrooms are strange that they are open to eachother but we put umbrellas in the cut outs for privacy. The linens could use to be updated and a wine glass or two would be great, but overall we loved it. I would definitely stay again. The elevator was perfect for my parents who were traveling with us. 05 January 2015 - 11:14:35

What an amazing location for a week long holiday in Paris. It is located in a lovely building easily walkable to sights. There is an easily accessible metro stop across the street. The practical information supplied by the owner was helpful. The only downside is the spotty internet around the apartment. 13 November 2017 - 12:51:00

I absolutely poured over every available property listing in Paris and I couldn't have been happier with our choice. Our family of 6 stayed for 8 days over the Christmas holidays and this apartment was absolutely perfect for us. Honestly I can't believe everything it offered at a price no more than a hotel room. I'm not one to write reviews but we were so happy with it I would like to help other travelers make this overwhelming choice! The location can not be beat -- it is less than a 10 minute walk to the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay , Champs Elysees, and steps away from the Tuileries Garden, shopping, places to eat. In addition the Concorde metro stop is literally five steps from the exterior door. Concorde has THREE lines running through it making it an incredibly quick and easy trip to anywhere in the city. All of this, and the apartment is absolutely quiet inside. We couldn't hear any street noise at all, day or night. Inside it was incredibly roomy. The pictures do not give justice to how large it was. There was a nice table that sat 6 of us comfortably to enjoy all the tasty things we would purchase during the day. The washer and dryer were SO convenient. We only brought a few changes of clothes and were able to wash all our clothes each night and dry them in the morning. It was a bit odd having openings between the bathrooms, but like another reviewer recommended we used one of the many umbrellas that were provided to cover them and didn't find them troublesome. I loved that it looked very French. I couldn't believe what an incredible view the apartment had at this price. My littlest one told me if he woke up in the middle of the night he would go over to the window to see the Eiffel Tower still there. My kids listed being able to see the Eiffel Tower as one of their favorite parts of the vacation. The owners of this apartment were incredibly kind and great to work with. The instructions they sent us were incredibly thorough and covered every questions we possibly could have had, along with contact info for their local staff. I have all ready recommended this apartment to several of my friends. Bon Voyage! 26 January 2016 - 17:32:54

The apartment was fantastic!!! The hosts were remarkable. My team and I would definitely be back next season. Location cannot get any better. Ideal for families as well as for a group of friends coming to Paris. JP & his wife are wonderful people. Very helpful and sincere. 13 March 2017 - 14:25:00

The good stuff: the location is great. The apartment was clean. The bathroom situation would not be okay for two couples. But the bathrooms were newly upgraded and we made it work. We walked the 60 stairs to the apartment. That allowed an extra pastry. The not so good stuff: no wifi. Beds weren't comfortable. The living room furniture was old. The springs were gone from all the furniture. And the chairs and sofa felt dirty. The newest piece was the 80s coffee table. The television only had French stations. (Yes, I know we were in Paris) It would have been nice to have CNN or Bloomberg. 22 May 2017 - 22:49:00
