We were three adults and thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay! Even though we were late arriving, Monica met us at the apartment and gave us a complete tour. The kitchen - living room area was very roomy and worked very well for us as did the layout of the entire apartment. The in-floor head was very welcome as it was pretty cool outside. Great location for exploring Amsterdam and very quiet for sleeping. We would certainly choose to stay again. 07 April 2013 - 20:26:15

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It is a rare find to have an apartment that is on street level. It is on a fairly quiet street although you do hear some people talking loudly as the pass by at night but mostly on weekend nights. It is very spacious and Monica (who is a wonderful host-very friendly and helpful-she met us at the tram station and walked us to the apt and offered to carry bags and then checked on us after 2 days) stocked the apt with all sorts of food. There is a wonderful market within a 10 min walk (near Westmarkt) also. The tram station is close by (only a few stops from central station) and Anne Frank museum is only 10 min away. All other sites are easy to get to by tram. We have no complaints about the apartment itself-everthing you need is there. Even the weather cooperated and it was mostly sunny during our stay! If we ever have the chance to return we will book this apt again.( If you drive to the city it is best to park at a park and ride outside the city then take a tram in). 11 April 2013 - 16:13:53

This is a spacious flat on the ground floor in the beautiful Jordaan neighborhood. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen of any flat we've rented anywhere. The coffee, tea, crackers, cookies, and milk were a welcome treat. The king size bed was very comfortable. Monica, as all the reviewers have already confirmed, is the most giving hostess of all. She welcomes you with open arms and an unhurried explanation of tourist sites, directions, and her recommendations. 15 May 2013 - 02:37:28

This is a very spacious apartment with an excellent location on a quiet street within walking distance of Amsterdam's major attractions. It is very near the Westekerk and Anne Frank House, and the many nice, affordable restaurants in that neighbourhood. We walked to the Oudekerk, Amsterdam Museum, and RijksMuseum, and just enjoyed walking through neighbourhoods and along canals. Monica is a delight to deal with. She has thoughtfully provided a few provisions for breakfasts. We chatted on our arrival and departure, but did not otherwise have any concerns we had to contact her about. The listing description and photos are all appropriate. The decoration is not fancy, but entirely satisfactory. The WiFi worked well, and the TV had a few English channels for us. The washer/ dryer was welcome, although we found it more useful to use the drying rack provided, as the dryer has limited capacity. Lots of hot water in the shower, which worked well (of course, we try to be considerate of our host in our use of hot water). Some will appreciate that this is a main floor apartment, so no staircases to deal with. We would certainly stay here again, and recommend it to a friend or relative. 16 May 2013 - 07:23:54

From the second we arrived i knew we had picked the right place. Monica was so sweet and accommodating she even bought us some of the main staples to start us off such a bread, milk etc. The apartment couldn't be in a better location and is gorgeous. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone I know heading to Amsterdam 31 May 2013 - 17:14:41

This apartment was great all around, it made it hard to leave Amsterdam! Perfect location, a little off the beaten path (as we prefer), but within walking distance of many attractions and great restaurants. The apartment is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to easily cook meals. The owner, Monica, was very helpful upon our check-in, answering all of our questions, familiarizing us with the area, nearby attractions and apartment. She provided bread, jam & tea for us upon our arrival as well, which was a really sweet touch. She was also very patient with us as we struggled with Paypal to process the final payment. We will highly recommend this apartment to friends & family looking to visit Amsterdam. If you are there on a Saturday, don't miss the local organic farmers market, Noordermarkt! 06 June 2013 - 23:41:40

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay in this apartment. Monica was wonderful and the apartment was comfortable. The Jordaan area was so nice ...very peaceful yet interesting after the very busy and hectic tourist areas. We would highly recommend this apartment. 25 June 2013 - 13:35:30

I rented the apartment for my daughters. There experience as well as mine with Monica was exceptional. Monica was very attentive to my inquiries and the girls were very pleased with their stay. I've been to Amsrterdam twice previously and will look for arrangements with Monica if I return. Thank you Monica. 13 July 2013 - 12:08:22

My two children and I stayed here for a week. The apartment is very spacious, well appointed and on a relatively quiet street. Monica provided all the info we needed to get around and enjoy our stay in Amsterdam. The location was great--we could walk to everything, or if we were lazy, hop on the bus or tram. We would definitely stay here again if we get back to Amsterdam. 23 July 2013 - 15:03:08

LOVED our trip to Amsterdam and LOVED our stay in this apartment. It is perfect in every way: modern, charming, spotless, comfortable and fully equipped, ideally situated in a great part of town very close to Anne Frank Museum, pretty canals, grocery stores, bicycle rental and many restaurants. In fact, I would say that the pictures do not do it justice! The host, Monica, was a pleasure to deal with and met us upon arrival armed with information that was very helpful to us as first time visitors to Amsterdam. We loved every minute of our stay at this lovely apartment and would definately stay there again as well as recommend it to friends and relatives. We also recommend the bike rental at "See Amsterdam" Canal Boats (just about 1 block from Anne Frank Museum and about 3 blocks from apartment). We rented the bikes for 24 hours for our last full day and wished that we had done so sooner - we loved the ease of travel between sight-seeing points by bike as well as the opportunity to cruise to and through areas and neighbourhoods that would have been too far on foot. 22 August 2013 - 16:37:23

This apartment filled all of our needs during our visit to Amsterdam. Its location couldn't have been better, easy to find and close to transportation. The owner met us on arrival and made sure we were settled in and answered all our questions. Highly recommended. 18 October 2017 - 16:31:00

We stayed here for 5 nights in early March. The apartment was perfectly located in the Jordaan neighborhood, very close to the Anne Frank house and the hop on/off launch area for the canal boats. Dam Square, and most every other attraction was within easy walking distance. Monica was incredible to work with, and the apartment was well furnished and comfortable. The price was more than reasonable. The only thing I would change is to have some sort of "white noise" such as a fan, at night--it was so quiet overall that the church bells would wake us up every hour in the night. 18 March 2014 - 17:11:53

We spent a wonderful week in this apartment. We were met by the owner on the morning we checked in. She was extremely helpful with all manner of tourist info and tips. She even had stocked the fridge with juice, a couple of beers, cookies, bread and butter, in short, enough things to get us ready for our visit. The apartment location is incredible. At first blush, the neighborhood seemed a little stark, but we quickly realized that it's a very nice, quiet residential neighborhood. The neighborhood canals are beautiful. The local restaurants and cafes were plentiful and the food was good. We went to the neighborhood open air market on Saturday and shopped with the locals for fresh baked goods, cheeses, herring, and the like. The WesterKerk is at the end of the street. Beneath that church is the Anne Frank House if you are interested. The apartment is about a block from mass transit (trams). Mass transit to anywhere in Amsterdam was extremely easy although many things that we visited were a walk from the apartment. In fact, we walked to the apartment from the main train station simply so we could take in the sights. We had not been in Amsterdam in about 45 years. It took about 30 minutes to get there. When we left Amsterdam, we took the tram back to the station. It was about a 10 minute tram ride. Almost everything is within a 10 minute tram ride. The apartment is on the street floor and might be classified as an efficiency, but the living/dining/kitchen area is very roomy. The outside patio is a nice addition but a little too cool for early April. The bathroom is typically European and fully equipped but smaller than many Americans might be accustomed. All in all, we had a delightful visit to Amsterdam made most palatable by this apartment and our generous landlady. We'll go back. 07 May 2014 - 21:47:30

Amsterdam is a beautiful city and a stay in this property is the perfect place to have as a base. Easy walking to all major sites, shops and parks. The apartment was well equipped with utensils and food basics (coffee, milk, bread - even some cookies) and was very clean. The owner is extremely welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended!! 06 June 2014 - 14:11:13

I've been to Amsterdam dozens of times and this might be the best place I've stayed. The tram is very close, as well as an excellent shawarma eatery. It's about a 10 minute walk to Dam Square, 15 - 20 minutes to Rembrandtplein. Monica is the property manager and is a lovely Italian woman who went to all lengths to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. 16 June 2014 - 14:57:26

Monica is fantastic, and this apartment is wonderful! This was our first time visiting Amsterdam, and we feel like we hit the jackpot by finding this rental. The apartment has a spacious kitchen and sitting area, and the bed is also quite comfortable. Monica was very thoughtful, and she had a few things in the fridge to welcome us on our stay. Monica was also incredibly helpful by providing information on transportation (to/from airport as well as around the city - although we walked everywhere minus the airport), restaurants, and attractions. She also checked in during our 5 day stay to make sure we were happy and didn't have any questions concerning the apartment or the city. The apartment is a couple blocks from the Anne Frank House, 10 minute walk to Dam Square, 15 minute walk to the Red Light District, and a 30 minute walk to the Museum District. Our personal favorite place for breakfast or a burger is Cafe Wheels, which is a 5 minute walk located on Wolvenstraat. We would absolutely stay here again, and we will recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Thank you, again, Monica for being a most gracious host! 07 April 2016 - 19:54:20

We stayed at this wonderful apartment for 5 days and have to agree with all of the previous reviews. Monica is a gem and the apartment is great. The location, the size, the cleanliness, and all of the little extras that Monica provides all make for a great stay. Being a ground floor apartment was also a bonus for us since we could not have managed the narrow, steep staircases so common in Amsterdam. You will not be disappointed if you decide to rent this apartment and you will absolutely love Monica! 10 September 2016 - 11:50:50

Love love love this apartment. Huge living space, very central, well appointed, couldn't ask for more! Monica met us upon arrival and spent a lot of time going over not only apartment amenities but also the city and how to get around, where to go. My family lives nearby and they were impressed as well, we will be recommending this to anyone who visits the city! 25 June 2016 - 10:24:50
