This apartment was perfect for my wife and I. We were able to enjoy the idyllic town of Tiburon while having convenient access to charming Sausalito and the city in San Francisco. Both of which are just a short ferry or bike ride away. We also took the opportunity make the short drive to wine country in Sonoma and Napa. It was so nice to be outside the hustle and bustle of the city. The convenient location is outdone only by the view of the bay, Angel Island, and the Golden Gate Bridge wich can be enjoyed on the patio or sofa. The sighting of hummingbirds in the patio flowers and mom and baby dear passing along side the property were a bonus. The apartment is newly redone, is very clean, and has every convenience that you'd need. The neighborhood in Tiburon is super safe. The owner was very nice. Rachel was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. She made sure that we had everything that we needed and that our stay was perfect. I would stay here again and would recommend this apartment to all of my friends and family. 18 July 2017 - 19:36:00

Had a wonderful experience at Five Pennies. The house is exactly as pictured, view is gorgeous with a short walk to town. The owners thought of every little touch to make the visit relaxing and comfortable. We hope to visit again! 11 September 2017 - 18:02:00

What a wonderful place to stay if you're visiting the San Francisco area. The apartment was so comfortable. The view was amazing and so relaxing. We were in the area for a conference and this sure beat staying at the local hotel. Rachael checked in with us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed and let us know she was available for questions and suggestions. Would not hesitate staying here again. 27 September 2017 - 02:01:00

A beautiful holiday home with the most amazing panoramic views across the water. The property is well appointed and includes many personal touches that ensure a comfortable stay. A great location from which to walk into town and explore the shops or catch the ferry into the City or Angel Island. A perfect holiday retreato and we hope to return! 28 October 2017 - 00:08:00

When I booked Five Pennies, there were no reviews posted as it was a brand new listing. It was apparent from the photos and thoughtful description of the property, that this was a property much loved by the owners! We were just the second guests to stay in the apartment. I must congratulate the owners, and say that Rachel and her husband have got this right from the start! The location and spectacular view, speak for themselves. But beyond that, the apartment was clean, comfortable and the host was welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Five Pennies is a quiet oasis, convenient for day trips to the city, Sonoma coast and Angel Island. It was an easy and pleasant 20 minute walk to catch the ferry from Tiburon. We enjoyed exploring the island (State Park), hiking more than 12 miles before catching the last ferry back to the mainland! Stopping off at one of the local markets, we relaxed back at the apartment, choosing to kick off our shoes and eat dinner in. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Rachel made it clear she was only a text or phone call away should we need anything. We would return in a heartbeat and will definitely check as to future availability the property is only 2 hours from our foothills home and is such a good launching point for a variety of Bay Area adventures. 01 August 2017 - 03:44:00

My husband and I stayed in this water view apartment for two days during our vacation in early January. The photos perfectly depict this lovely apartment. The view is gorgeous and looks exactly like the photos! The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and decorated beautifully. It had everything we needed. We were also greeted with a bottle of wine and some snacks. The owners were around and available via their cell phones if we needed anything, but left us to our privacy. The town of Tiburon is quite lovely. It was very quiet in January, but we ate at a couple great restaurants and it was super easy to take the ferry to San Francisco. I can't think of one complaint about this property. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back sometime - maybe when the weather is a bit warmer and we can enjoy the huge patio and lovely views more! 17 January 2018 - 14:08:00
