About listing

This spectacular 4 bedroom, 4 bath private vineyard estate is on 6 very private acres of which 3 acres are planted with our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The view from our hilltop estate and grounds alone makes one never want to leave (Read our Five Star reviews from past guests). Our hilltop estate is surrounded with over 100 acres of our neighbors vineyards. To the west, the view from our hilltop estate is across the Napa Valley and to the north up the Silverado Trail. With a magnificent and enormous outdoor terrace on the top of a private hill facing the Napa Valley this is the perfect place to entertain, or enjoy our private vineyard yourself. The outdoor area, half of which is decked and the other grass with a gazebo has a pool with spa attached that looks out over the surreal Napa Valley and the city of Napa. The city view at night is breathtaking! Located only a few minutes from downtown Napa, great dining, entertainment, shopping, Napa Wine Train and the Oxbow Market. Wine & dine at your very own visual paradise. Also, we can recommend your very own private chef to cater to your wishes. The house is spacious with a newly remodeled kitchen with all granite counter tops and top of the line appliances. The kitchen's view of the valley below and the Skyline Park Green Belt is wonderful to see as you enjoy your morning coffee or prepare a snack between vineyard tours. The estate is professionally furnished by Thomas Bartlett Interiors (see link below) & decorated with a splendid new garden and landscaping. Two of the four bedrooms have king size beds one of which is a master with a gorgeous and sprawling bathroom with separate shower and large Jacuzzi. The third bedroom has a queen size bed and the fourth bedroom has two twins and large Jacuzzi. All bedrooms have a private bathroom and flat screen TVs with Direct TV and Wi-Fi. Located in the Coombsville AVA of the Napa Valley just five minutes from downtown Napa and The Silverado Trail insuring wineries & vineyards are an easy drive. The estate is privately gated and also on a private gated road. Easy access to airports in Sacramento, Oakland and San Francisco. Two complimentary bottles of our Cabernet Sauvignon when you arrive. 1. The pictures don't do this place justice! It was absolutely beautiful, and the home was exactly how it was described and more. I give this property and A++, and the next time we come back to Napa this is where we will stay. 24 May 2012 - 16:51:29

The pictures do not do justice. My family and I just returned from Napa and had such a wonderful experience. The owners of this home have not spared any expense in making this a place of comfort. The kitchen has all of the necessary equipment to make gourmet meals to be enjoyed sitting in the dining room with such a spectacular view of Napa. Our favorite part of the home was the patio area overlooking downtown Napa and experiencing some of the most memorable sunsets ever. The home is close to all of the airports, downtown Napa, and Silverado Trail. Thank you owners for sharing your beautiful home with my family! 28 September 2011 - 16:27:34

We stayed at this home for a girls reunion over Father's Day weekend. Let me tell you, the photos do not do this place justice! The home is incredibly grand and well-decorated. Every uniquely appointed bedroom has its own unique bathroom as well - very convenient for a big group. The pool and the view are exquisite, great for sipping wine and watching the sunset. The vineyard and the surrounding grounds truly add to the feel you are luxuriating on the only private estate for miles. We cooked at the home one night in a fully-stocked kitchen and had dinner in downtown Napa the next evening. My only regret was not leaving enough time at the house. Next time, we'll pick up bottles and bring them back to the pool to enjoy. Owner was incredibly accommodating - I suggested adding more towels for the pool, and he tells me it's already been done! 13 July 2012 - 18:36:15

This home certainly met and exceeded all of our expectations - it has all the luxuries you could expect and it can accommodate 4 couples comfortably.. The views from the backyard are absolutely stunning - when you're not out and about visiting wineries in the area, its nice to relax by the pool and take it all in.. It really is such a relaxing and beautiful setting. The inside of the home is great for entertaining - the living room, dining room and kitchen are all big and inviting and while not as celebrated as the hilltop views in the pictures above, the interior is amazing in its own right.. Thanks so much for having us! We hope to visit again soon! 16 July 2012 - 01:59:10

What a fabulous place! My family had a great time in Napa, the highlight was waking up surrounded with the splendid site of rolling hills, vineyards and the view of the city of Napa down below. At night, we experienced the splendour of spectacular sunsets and invigorating dips in the pool. The house is well appointed, comfortable and stunning. David, the owner and Bill, the caretaker were very helpful when we had questions, giving us tips about Napa that only locals will know. It was truly a privilege, a vacation that we will always remember for a long time. 30 July 2012 - 06:40:22

This was the nicest home we have ever stayed in, and we have rented a lot of vacation homes. I thought the rental fee was a little beyond my budget but it turned out to be a bargain! The views, as everyone says, are spectacular. The backyard with pool and spa, the willow tree, and lots of comfortable seating and conversation areas, were wonderful. The interior was decorated to the nth degree, with fabulous paintings, sculptures, antiques, draperies, wall treatments and linens. We enjoyed the sound system throughout the house and out by the pool. The garden and vineyards were beautifully tended and had many different areas to explore. Every corner and niche of the house held something interesting. The owners even had beautiful blooming orchids in every room. Being from Florida, we don't see many hummingbirds, but they were everywhere, darting in and out of the fountain and buzzing around the trees and bushes. I think the weather was cooler there (we were there in August) than further up the valley, which also was welcome to us Floridians. Napa the town is an easy drive, and it had a great vibe on our Friday evening there. Driving up the valley on the Silverado Trail was also relatively easy. Bill the property manager was very accessible and helpful. The owner was good to work with too. I have already recommended this place to my friends. Our only disappointment was not being able to drink one of the estate bottles! 09 October 2012 - 16:12:38

A gorgeous place that figures large in our collective memory, my family found ourselves again at the villa, second year in a row. Why do we love going back? The villa is perfect, perched on top of a hill, it provided us with so much privacy. The sweeping views of the mountains, the vineyards and the city and of course the tall willow tree were breathtaking. The grounds are well kept. We enjoyed staying out, enjoying the pool, the sights and the luxurious ambiance. What you cannot see on the website pictures is that the owners have taken care of a lot of details to make for a lovely holiday. The kitchen is equipped with the full array of supplies, utensils and high end appliances that make cooking a wonderful experience. The layout of the kitchen, with lots of seating, have mountain and city views and lets in natural light. It afforded us an awesome space to enjoy re-connecting with family. To our great delight, they even upgraded the barbecue which made those barbecue nights a fun activity for everyone to enjoy. We were even gifted with two bottles of the Estate wine to try! The bedrooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, sheets luxurious, comforters lush. There are modern conveniences of a reliable wifi, TVs in every room and indoor and outdoor music through the integrated sound system with an Ipod plug in. The kids even helped themselves to fresh lemons from the tree. All these pampering and modern touches absolutely make for a five star vacation. Bill, the manager is so great to work with. Very professional and very quick to follow up. He always provided legendary guest service. We always feel safe, comfortable and satisfied during our stay at the villa. The whole experience of staying in this gorgeous place is a luxury that you deserve to spoil your family with! They always say that the first time you visit, you see the sights. On the second time, you will likely see the true heart of the place. It is stunning! This may be why we found it hard to leave. 25 June 2013 - 07:49:57

We came to Napa from Michigan for a family reunion with our children who live in Chicago and New York. From the moment we walked into the home, and outside to see the views from the backyard, we were overwhelmed. It is a truly breathtaking view, overlooking the mountains, valley and vineyards. The home itself is beautiful and very comfortable. It is extremely clean, and well stocked with everything you will need to cook in the top of the line kitchen. There are plenty of clean towels to use for the pool and jacuzzi. I highly recommend a night time dip in the jacuzzi, the star gazing out back is spectacular, and the twinkling lights from the valley below is dazzling. The location was great, with access to downtown Napa and heading out to wine taste to the surrounding towns is easy. We looked forward to returning each and every day to enjoy just being "home". The property manager, Bill is just a phone call away, and happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have, he was great! Be sure to enjoy the bottle of Willow Peak Cabernet Sauvignon that homeowners David and Roberta leave for your enjoyment, it's a real treat! We feel fortunate we were able to spend one week in such a beautiful setting and home, thank you to David and Roberta for opening their home for guests to enjoy!! 15 August 2013 - 19:23:37

I couldn't agree more with all the complementary reviews already written. One of the highlight of my visit to Napa Valley was the amazing views from this property. Our party of six had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours tasting wine and visiting with neighbor John Caldwell in his wine cave. I recommend this; it also was a highlight of the trip along with hot air ballooning over Pope Valley and mud bathing at a Spa in Calistoga. We all appreciated the well equipped kitchen as we were able to celebrate with two birthday dinners during our stay. Only recommendation would be to bring a knife sharpener if you like sharp knifes. Cheers! Thanks David and Roberta for the memorable vacation. 05 September 2013 - 03:45:06

Our family stayed for a week and it was HEAVEN! The house is gorgeous, the pictures of the landscape do not do it justice. My son and I went into town, 5 minutes away, to get breakfast items every morning to cook for the family. Fantastic gourmet kitchen, beautifully furnished living and bedroom areas. We have adult children and their favorite part was the pool and spa. They could have stayed at the house all week. We went into downtown Napa to a few tasting houses. Drove the Silverado Trail. The best was our tasting at the Caldwell Winery, which is on the property. John Caldwell is so engaging and fun to listen to. Lots to do in Napa and the surrounding areas. Every interaction I had with the owner and the property manager was very smooth. We had the best vacation ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 23 September 2013 - 00:34:34
  11. We recently stay at this wonderful home. It was absolutely perfect. Every amenity you could think of. Sunsets at the end of the day in the pool or Hot Tub were a treat for our group at the end of busy wine tasting days. The home is well appointed and set on a beautiful hill top. The views are incredible. We are already planning on returning again. The owner is also a pleasure to work with and has a superb property manager that made sure our stay and orientation of the home was very detailed. Highly recommended! 12 October 2013 - 05:04:32

We travelled as a group of 4 couples from Canada to stay at this beautiful property. Hard to describe how beautiful this home is with professional landscaping and magnificent views of the valley. The house is completely "enjoyment ready" with lots of room for the 8 of us to have space to ourselves, but also get together for time spent in the kitchen, dining room, living room... and the yard is totally awesome! Can't beat sitting in the hot tub watching the sunsets after a day of touring! Both the owner and the property manager were great to deal with. They responded immediately to any questions or concerns we had. We would highly recommend this property to others and hope to be able to visit again someday! 02 December 2013 - 15:45:42

This home and property are beautiful and magical. Our group of 6 adults had a wonderfully relaxing experience and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed every amenity offered including the fire pit in the morning while having the first cup of coffee, chaise lounges in the afternoon looking out over the valley watching the beautiful birds soar above us, the pool and jacuzzi, relaxing afternoon naps beneath the huge Weeping Willow, dinner around the island in the kitchen and daily hikes in the surrounding vineyards. John Caldwell of Caldwell Vineyards and Winery entertained us with his remarkable unique story-telling and afternoon tasting of his wonderful wines. Bill, the property manager was great to work with and helpful when needed. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home in Napa. We definitely look forward to staying with you again. 25 August 2014 - 10:41:01

WOW just about sums up this house! What could be better than waking up in a magnificently decorated/appointed home in the middle of a vineyard and then sipping wine in the hot tub with a sun set as the backdrop every night. The house is an easy 5 minute drive into the town of Napa, yet is very secluded and peaceful. The Chef's kitchen was lacking for nothing. We were there at harvest and must admit to sneaking into the vineyards to snitch grapes...what fun! The neighboring vintner, John "F." Caldwell, is delightfully "salty". I highly recommend booking a tasting with him. We arrived six days after the earthquake. The property manager and owner (both of whom are wonderful to deal with) had everything in top shape. We can't wait to go back! Cheers!! 09 October 2014 - 19:55:52

First of all, the pictures on this site cannot possibly capture how stunning this property is. From the moment we pulled up to the front of the house and toured the house itself, to the moment we exited the back of the house to the patio and grounds and views, views, views, it was all jaw dropping gorgeous! We actually felt as though we were staying in a five star hotel with all of the amenities provided -- an endless supply of all toiletries and towels and luxurious bedding and sheets. The decor is stunning, the huge kitchen feeling as though you're in a Tuscan villa. The master suite is massive, and the other 3 bedrooms beautifully furnished, all with ensuite bathrooms. The back patio is very large with a lovely pool, spa, fire pit, lounging area, and outdoor dining. Not to mention the vineyard that starts where the manicured lawn ends, and the breathtaking views of Napa beyond. And we were treated to some spectacular sunsets, as well as hot air balloons rising in the morning. So, so peaceful. A wonderful retreat after long days of wine tastings and tours. The booking process with David was quick and easy, and Bill, the property manager was very helpful and great to deal with. Bill is also the property manager at the Oxbow Market in downtown Napa. Visited several times, as well as the outdoor market across the street on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. A must! All in all a very memorable vacation. My husband and I are 5 star travellers, and we will definitely stay here again when visiting Napa. I very highly recommend it to others. 01 November 2014 - 19:03:56

I recently was fortunate enough to stay at this lovely property with a party of 7. It is hard to describe how great it was. You know how most rentals have a sort of stripped down feel, like half the decor has been hidden away? Not here. It is like visiting the home of your well-heeled friend with great taste. Gorgeous, elaborate decor. Everything you could need in the kitchen and plenty of nice toiletry items. Lots of space to gather. Then there's the outside. Huge patio with a variety of sitting areas, one which was covered and had a firepit, which was where we mostly sat. Great pool and hot tub circled by beautiful landscaping and flowers. Killer views across the valley, complete with sunsets. A vineyard to stroll! It wasn't far to the grocery store and downtown Napa, but it felt like we were in the country. David the owner and Bill the property manager are very helpful and responsive. This home was the centerpiece of a fabulous vacation. Thank you for making it available. 04 September 2015 - 21:38:11
