We LOVED this place! Sherry was very easy to communicate with, the location of her place was perfect! Just up the hill from the shops in North Beach and the best coffee shop in the world, Cafe Trieste! Also China Town was only a short walk away! Me and my wife loved grabbing a coffee in the morning and strolling down to Pier 39 top watch the sea lions which only took us 25 minutes at the most. The apartment was beautifully clean and very spacious, me and my wife were very impressed and would stay here again in a heartbeat! We loved everything about it! 21 October 2013 - 11:39:47

My husband and I loved staying here. The apartment itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated and full of great art. It was well appointed and had an excellent kitchen to cook in. Sherry was a lovely host and showed us all the local haunts, including Caf Trieste from the top of the hill. For those New Zealanders reading this, that's where you can get a great Flat White coffee. The location is great with Coit Tower a 5 minute walk away along with loads of great restaurants. North Beach really is the best place to stay. We would love to come back and stay. 06 November 2013 - 06:40:29

My husband and I are frequent visitors to SF, but we'd always stayed at hotels. After successful VRBO experiences in other cities, we decided to try one in SF. It was everything we'd hoped for...great location; fabulous decor; accessible, responsive and accommodating owner; and every amenity we needed. (Do yourself a favor and pay attention to Sherrie's restaurant recommendations.) Only wish we'd found it sooner! We are looking forward to future visits to SF, and we will be scheduling them around the availability of this property. 25 December 2013 - 21:45:05

Once again it was so easy booking with Sherry. We had another amazing time in her Loft. So close to everything, we walked everywhere except to union square and we took a cab. So comfy and cozy to come back to after a day out walking in the rain. Cafe Trieste right down the street has THE best coffee I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and stay at Sherry's, you won't regret it and you will never want to stay in a Hotel again. 17 February 2014 - 15:16:00

My friend and I spent a week-end away from the kids. The location was perfect; couple blocks away from world famous restaurants and coffee shops. We walked a lot and everywhere; Fisherman's Warf, Union Square, Coit Tower, Ferry Building, Lombard street. Its near the busy area of restaurant and nightlife, and its on the first floor, so we could on rare occasion hear people outside at night. Apartment is spacious and clean. Its on a quiet corner on a steep hill. The best part of this apartment is the price. Like Sherry said: she is happy to say that there are no hidden bunnies in her pricing. No extra cleaning fees or taxes. Most places I looked at on vrbo have a taxe and a one time cleaning fee that ranges from $100 to $200. Sherry was pleasant to deal with. Would stay there again. 14 May 2014 - 22:25:49

My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable studio apartment. It is located near the border of North Beach and Telegraph Hill; very close to the North Beach restaurants. The Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf & Ghirardelli Square are about a mile away. Sherry is a very gracious host. We will definitely return. 21 May 2014 - 17:30:01

This apartment was a perfect get away for my husband and I. The apartment is a roomy studio, perfect for two. The kitchen was updated and well equipped with everything we needed for our 3-day stay. There is a comfortable living area for relaxing and dining and an enormous, beautiful bathroom! The bed was very cozy and comfy and we slept great every night. This apartment feels like a home, rather than a rental, with beautiful furnishings and every convenience provided for our comfort. The location was fabulous, just a block or so to the heart of North Beach, and walking distance to downtown or the wharf. Sherry was so easy to communicate with and was available for whatever we needed. We had a wonderful stay and definitely plan to return!! 22 July 2014 - 16:00:15

We enjoyed this place a lot. The place is big, very clean, comfy bed (pillows could use an upgrade), well equipped with fridge, stove, etc, has a large bathroom. It is nicely located in a quiet part of a lively North Beach / Little Italy area. Plenty of public transport to go anywhere you want. Walking distance of Coit Tower, Chinatown, Fisherman Wharf. Shop on trendy Grant St, stop at Greco's for the best gelato this side of America. Friendly owner, discreet and there to greet you when you arrive. Lots of visitor / tourists books to browse. Last note: the area is hilly, very hilly. Be prepared :-). 04 September 2014 - 04:12:53

Tucked away in a little corner of North Beach is this beautiful, cozy, charming apartment. Sherry's soul comes through in all the little touches that make this artsy apartment unique and so very special. As a single woman traveler, I felt extremely safe in the apartment and in the neighborhood. I loved living like a local for four days, savoring every restaurant and experience that makes San Francisco so warm and friendly. And at the end of each day, I loved retiring and relaxing in an apartment that easily became my home away from home. I wouldn't hesitate to return, and am grateful for all the kindness Sherry extended in making the booking and stay so hassle free. 25 September 2014 - 15:21:07

Comfortable, great location, all in all a very pleasant stay and if we ever get back to the area, we'll definitely look Sherry up again. Close to public transit but also very close to some car-sharing services and UberPool had a $5 special to get anywhere in SF. Thanks for a lovely stay - it was awesome! 12 February 2015 - 21:45:34

We stayed here for 3 nights and only wish we could have stayed longer! This was our first time using VRBO and visiting San Francisco...we will definitely be doing both again! The apartment was exactly as pictured and even better in person. It was very clean, spacious, wonderfully decorated and quite amazing how every little thing you needed was right where it should be. The location could not be more perfect. We did not rent a car until we (unfortunately) had to leave for a wedding in Napa and did not need it. We walked everywhere! Sherry was excellent, quick to respond and has fabulous restaurant recommendations (I am in love with Sotto Mare and can still taste the crab diavola. Yum!). This was a true gem in a lovely neighborhood. Thank you, Sherry!! 28 July 2015 - 18:44:16

Cleanliness so excellent my wife's infamous pack of rubber gloves she always takes to self catering apartments/houses we have rented in both the UK and abroad remained unopened. A first! And one which Sherry found most amusing when we informed her at the end of our stay in this delightful apartment which is full of character and in a fabulous location. Pictures don't do justice to it and we had a lovely stay in San Francisco. 18 October 2015 - 21:06:47

This was our first trip to San Francisco and we wanted to stay in an area that would provide us with easy access to public transportation. We definitely found that to be the case here. The apartment itself is charming and artsy, using a wonderful blend of color. The bathroom is very large and well equipped, with plenty of extra towels, hair dryer, big mirrors, a good shower, and plenty of space to put your personal things. The bed is very comfortable, and has a ceiling fan nearby in case the weather is warm. Kitchen is fairly well equipped, with a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, modern refrigerator, etc. There is a spacious sitting area with a couch, comfortable chair, table and chairs for eating, and a very large screen TV (but why waste time with TV when you're in SF?). We found the wi-fi connection to be a bit sketchy at times, but still workable. The apartment is located up a fairly steep hill, but the proximity to public transportation is so good, it's worth it. If you'll be in SF for a few days and plan to go several places, check out a multi-day MUNI pass.... well worth the cost, compared to a single trip cost on any type of transportation. We used public transportation and found it very convenient, especially to get to a major grocery store in the North Point area of the city (there's also a Trader Joe's up the street from this grocery store) so we could stock up on a few groceries (the corner deli by the apartment is ridiculously expensive). The only difficulty we had in using public transportation was on a Saturday when we wanted to get from the apartment to the Embarcadero BART station to pick up the train to get to the airport. It took way too much time, we had to transfer to a second bus, and figuring out where we could actually pick up each bus wasn't easy. Overall, we'd definitely recommend staying at Sherry's..... it's a gem of a find, and she's a terrific hostess! 01 November 2015 - 08:32:43

My husband and I had the best time staying at this rental in North Beach! My husband and I recently got back from a short stay in San Francisco to celebrate our anniversary and Sherry's rental was just PERFECT. It was a close walk to practically everything we wanted to see and the rental itself was just adorable. The pictures don't even do this place justice. It was bright, beautifully decorated and right in the middle of the action while somehow also managing to feel like you were getting away from the all the noise while tucked away on your own little hill. We had everything we could possibly need and the place was so clean. Sherry was a fantastic host. She had great communication with us and gave us a tour when we arrived and pointed out all the restaurants and places we would want to go in the area. I would love to visit again and can't wait until we can make it back to San Francisco. 02 November 2015 - 23:57:33

We had a great stay in this cute, arty studio. It is in a fabulous neighbourhood as long as you can handle the steep walk up the hill. It's a block or two from great restaurants, cafes, and pizzerias, but is still very much in a residential area. Sherry was very helpful & provided excellent food recommendations. It's a ground floor apartment, and provides an authentic representation of living in San Francisco. Buses are a couple of blocks away, but easy to use. We walked a lot throughout North Beach and over to Fisherman's Wharf, as well as downtown, and took public transit, and used Lyft to get around beyond that. 25 January 2016 - 03:19:32

My husband and I had the best time staying at this rental in North Beach. This was our first trip to San Francisco and this rental provided us with the opportunity to walk to everything we wanted to explore and easy access to public transportation when we were too tired to walk. We live on the East Coast and communicating with Sherry was easy. She answered all my questions about the area quickly and honestly. The apartment was adorable and the perfect size for two. It was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. The bathroom was large was equipped with every thing we needed. The bed was perfect...no complaints. Sherry recommended several restaurants, and also made recommendations as to her least favorite places to visit, which we appreciated. Basically, we loved everything about this rental and were so happy to have made such a good choice. If we make it back to SF, I'd only look for another property if this one was not available. 09 February 2016 - 20:36:42

Stayed at this apartment with my daughter for her 21st birthday, mother/daughter spring break. It was the perfect size for the two of us, with just enough space for separation and a large bathroom. Great decor, apartment is bigger and looks even nicer in person than through pictures. We felt at home immediately. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay. It was also very quiet and safe in a nice residential neighborhood. Location is perfect; yes you are on a hill, but outside of the wharf area, I don't know who wouldn't be! There is easy access to where ever you want to go in this fabulous city. Don't bring a car-I can't fathom negotiating street parking! If you are flying in, we found airfare much cheaper flying into Oakland rather than San Fran directly. It was just a short train ride under the bay to the Embarcadero station and then a 5 minute taxi ride to the apartment. This was a much cheaper route than shuttle or taxi rides from the airport (less than $30 for two people).. We also bought a 3 day MUNI pass and used this to take a bus for distance touring like Haight/Ashbury and Union Square. The bus stop is only a couple blocks(take the steps down Kearny to Columbus and there you are. It is steep walking in parts, but we averaged 5-6 miles a day no problem. From Sherry's apartment you can easily walk to the Embarcadero or wharf areas. Coit Tower is only 2 and 1/2 blocks up the street. There is a corner grocery close by that carried everything we needed for basic breakfast/snack/beverage items. We did not cook at all-why would you when Chinatown and Little Italy are right around the corner?! Mo's is recommended for a tasty burger option. Our hands down favorite was Viva Italian Restaurant on the corner of Columbus and Grant. Just a two block walk for great food choices, great prices and great service. We ate there twice and wish we had time for more! There is so much to do - we would love to return and would certainly stay in this great apartment again. It is very reassuring to know the owner is right there to greet you and can help you if needed. Thanks so much Sherry!! 24 March 2016 - 18:12:48

This is a very comfortable and very well equipped apartment in a great location. A ten minute walk in any direction will take you somewhere interesting - the Water front, Coit Tower, Chinatown. The area is quiet but you are only steps away from many fine restaurants. Sherry the owner is delightful and full of information. It was my first visit to San Francisco but I am sure it won't be my last. 10 June 2016 - 04:01:29
  19. Loved this apartment and the owner Sherry. Stayed 3 nights in Oct. It is on a steep hill, but what isn't in San Fran :) It is close to many restaurants and you can walk to the Pier, and many other sights. Would stay here again! 05 November 2016 - 19:06:58

Just spent 3 nights and this wonderful apartment and wished we could have signed a long term lease! HA! It is the perfect spot for two! The apartment is quite roomy with a huge bathroom, kitchen with all you need, and lovely sitting area to relax in with a cup of coffee in hand or for relaxing in at the end of the day and just watching the locals go by. The apartment is a couple of blocks off the busyness of the pubs, restaurants, and cafes, so was remarably quiet even though it sits in the "midst of it all"! The apartment was clean and had interesting pieces of furniture and art. And Sherry was SO easy to deal with, answering emails or texts right away, and was a joy to meet....she even allowed us an early check in since we got into the city well before check in time...THANK YOU! Sherry had lots of good "insider info" on places to eat that were much appreciated. As others have said, the location is fantastic! and though a quite of few blocks from The Warf area, if you enjoy the sights and sounds and smells and people watch along the way, the time passes quickly and you are at the destination before you know it! Be sure to hike up the hill and visit Coit Tower....it is RIGHT there and really does have incredible views and a beautiful little park with pathways...so many hidden gems like that within the city! We will MOST definitely be staying here again! Thank you for sharing your "artsy loft" with the rest of us Sherry! 16 November 2016 - 00:31:18
